Was told that I feel superior because I think it's better to be vegan in a world that is (sometimes literally) on fire (and wasn't even talking about animal rights, but just environment, btw)
So once again, vegans don't feel superior. I don't feel superior.
I feel desperate. I feel existential and ethical anguish. I feel pain.
And also I somehow feel hope. Just raw, unbridled, frantic hope that more people will see the truth. And that we'll change things for the better. Which is why I'll keep talking about it.

A Polyamory Red Flag everyone needs to look out for, especially when you're are starting out, is when it favours one person over all others.
The problem with One-Sided Polyamory is that it can come about through several avenues, some more toxic than others. It can come from selfishness, when someone simply doesn't care about fairness in their relationships. There's toxic monogamy and partners who insist on maintaining a sense of hierarchy. And then there's also emotional blindness, when a partner simply can't see beyond their own needs.
But it doesn't matter why or how polyamory can become one-sided. All that matters is that it's toxic, and seeing it develop is a Polyamory Red Flag.

Jivamukti Yoga: A Holistic Approach to Wellness
In recent years, yoga has become a popular practice among those seeking physical and mental wellness. One of the newer styles of yoga is Jivamukti Yoga, founded in 1984 by Sharon Gannon and David Life. Jivamukti Yoga is a holistic approach to wellness that incorporates physical postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and ethical teachings.
Philosophy: Jivamukti yoga incorporates the five tenets of yoga philosophy - Ahimsa (non-violence), Bhakti (devotion), Dhyana (meditation), Nada (sound), and Shastra (scripture).
Asana: Jivamukti yoga emphasizes physical postures or asanas, with a focus on vinyasa or flow sequences. The asanas are often named after animals, plants, and mythical figures, with an emphasis on the spiritual significance of each posture.
Music: Jivamukti yoga classes often incorporate live music or recorded music, with a focus on devotional chants and spiritual music from different cultures.
Environmentalism: Jivamukti yoga also emphasizes environmental activism and social justice, with a focus on ethical living and sustainability.
Benefits of Jivamukti Yoga
One of the primary benefits of Jivamukti Yoga is that it is a comprehensive practice that works on multiple aspects of wellness. The physical postures, or asanas, help to strengthen and tone the body while increasing flexibility and balance. The breathing techniques, or pranayama, help to calm the mind and reduce stress. Meditation helps to increase mindfulness and focus, while ethical teachings encourage a more compassionate and mindful lifestyle. In addition to these benefits, Jivamukti Yoga is also a great way to connect with a community of like-minded individuals. Many people find that the supportive and welcoming environment of a Jivamukti Yoga class helps them to feel more connected to others and to the world around them.
Where to Take Jivamukti Yoga Classes
Jivamukti Yoga classes are offered at studios around the world, with locations in North America, Europe, and Asia. Many studios offer both in-person and online classes, making it easy to fit Jivamukti Yoga into a busy schedule. Some popular studios that offer Jivamukti Yoga include Jivamukti Yoga Center in New York City, Jivamukti Yoga Berlin in Germany, and Jivamukti Yoga Barcelona in Spain.
Incorporating Jivamukti Yoga into a Weekly Practice
For those looking to incorporate Jivamukti Yoga into a weekly practice, it is recommended to start with one or two classes per week. As with any new exercise routine, it is important to start slowly and gradually build up intensity and frequency over time. It can also be helpful to practice some of the postures and breathing techniques at home in between classes to reinforce the benefits of the practice. If you aren’t near one of the afore mentioned studios online may be an option.
Conclusion: Jivamukti yoga is a modern form of yoga that incorporates physical postures, yoga philosophy, devotional music, and environmental activism. It is a holistic practice that promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, while also emphasizing the importance of ethical living and social responsibility.
Tell me what you think. Does Jivamukti resonate with you?

Root of Craft: Day Four
What are your beliefs about ethics and morality? Do you think practicing witchcraft will change your views? If so, how?
There's a lot of things about ethics and morality in witchcraft, and it's a good thing that majority of us (even only on tumblr) can agree to inclusivity and attempting to correct each other when possible.
A lot of the ethics and morality is understanding how people are treated in the process. It's about learning history and culture; seeing terms no longer accepted or being reclaimed and redefined; understanding what events affected certain groups in their practices; having a respect for the cultures and people of practices both open and closed. It's about learning corruption and abuses of power, and understanding how to individually and collectively fight against it. It's knowing where your tools and food and beliefs come from.
My practice has helped open me up to being more eco-conscious of my decisions. I do still fall prey to the consumerism, both within the community and out of the community, but I'm trying. I'd like to start a compost and garden, but I simply don't have the space or money to start right now.

So sick of people calling veganism a "personal preference". You think I'm vegan because I just want to be? I'm vegan because I feel morally obligated to be vegan. Because when I'm confronted with the atrocities that are part of animal agriculture, when I truly think about the wondrous beings other animals are, I cannot but be vegan, but not be part of the murder and exploitation (as much as I can, unfortunately my medication isn't fully plant-based) that is involved in being non-vegan.
People often seem to think that I choose to be vegan, but it's not really a choice. Not in the way I can choose to wear this dress or that one. Not in the way I can choose between walking down the street or skipping my way through life. Not in the way I can choose between eating pasta or risotto for dinner.
Yes, technically I'm making a choice. But ethically speaking, I don't have a choice. It's be vegan or be unethical. And I can't be the latter.
