Infinite Contact Talon Abraxas
It is especially important when we can visualize that the Infinite Mind (which the religionist might call God), is a vast and incalculable storehouse of power, a huge dynamo, if you would like to picture it as such, which is generating a great and tremendous power.
This power is being broadcast, so to speak, as vortices of energy which, in their proper and allied frequencies, go to make up a large number of dimensions. These dimensions, incidentally, are what the scientist calls space, and which is actually infinitely filled with large and small vortices of energy all properly functioning and closely affiliated on the basis of frequency relationships in an infinite number of harmonic expressions.
Man, therefore, can be visualized physically, mentally, and spiritually, as a merely a composite group of energy configurations; and that any functions of this man, physical or mental, is only an interception or regeneration of these principles and function on the same basis of energy wave forms and associated harmonic patterns.
It must be remembered at this point that any sine wave or energy manifestation which can be pictured as a sine wave, carries a definite bit of information, and any wave form carries this information in the manner and way in which it is shaped, or fashioned. A wave form can be square, it can have various configurations and distortions throughout its entire form. It can even carry numerous other wave forms piggy-back, so to speak, within itself. These various configurations, convolutions, or distortions, are repeated throughout its entire length; in other words, we can say through the wave form chain, from its beginning to its end (unless otherwise changed from some other outside source harmonically attuned, or by the source itself), can transfer their idiom of intelligence or information on the basis of frequency, to any other wave forms or energy configurations which are called atoms, or otherwise, provided proper conditions of attunement or frequency relationships have been met.
Now that we have plunged, so to speak, into the great unknown world of the higher science, the reader will begin to slightly understand the infinite nature of the Infinite. He should also begin to understand (as suggested), that he see his life about him, in whatever manner or form it presents itself; that while he may see this as the great illusion of mass working in the customary reactionary patterns, yet behind the scenes, so to speak, these immutable principles are functioning.”

– by @pointdotiozao
and always, there is hunger I will admit that I do not know if I should hold you or eat you.
– Derold Ernest Sligh, Occupation
"Do you really think I wouldn't prepare before coming to the infamous blood church?" She locks his arms behind his back, pinning his upper body against the wall while she binds them with a reinforced metal chain. "Then you are badly mistaken, father."
Upon flipping him over, she sees his eyes burning bright red in anger and she smirks.
"You're like a fish on the cutting board, so helpless and cute. I wonder, why did you choose to attack me? I've heard you usually have volunteers, no?"
She is right, this is not how I usually operate. But her scent…it riles up my primal urge. It's like I need her, need to taste her-
Her hand yanking his hair interrupts his thought, forcing him to expose his neck as her other hand rips open the collar of his soutane.
"Not cooperative, I see. That's ok…two can play this ‘game’ of yours."
He hisses at the sudden pain as her teeth sinks into his neck. What is she doing!? She can’t be serious.
He almost finds this role reversal amusing, but being in this vulnerable position makes the predator side of him furious, even as there’s a burning lust igniting in the pit of his stomach.
She lets go of his neck after what feels like eternity, despite him knowing it’s only been seconds. The prickly sensation of her tongue dragging over the bite mark gives him goosebumps. He finds the feeling oddly pleasant. Why do I want to submit to her?
Just when he thought she’s finally releasing him, she bites down again, and again, and again. With each bite, the urge to submit grows stronger, until he’s moaning and whimpering at her every touch.
“Please…”
She crushes her lips with his, swallowing any further words.
“No, I don’t think I want you to talk anymore.”
He doesn’t think he minds that, at all.

Urban Fantasy Worldbuilding [Long Post]: Underworld Tours
Tumblr media
Route 666 Open Hell Tours Poster, 1979
As most people say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Though sometimes those good intentions can mean hurting others in the process. Route 666 was one of those intentions. Route 666 has a history of being one of the most interesting points in human and non-human relations where man was faced with an enemy that they have all known too well. Demons. Even till this day there is heavy distrust on demonic civilians and for no good reason other than heavy stereotypes perpetuated by media. Though there are some bad apples within the bunch, that doesn’t mean that all demons or demonically link species are inertly evil by nature. Mischievous maybe but, not pure evil. Some might equate their mannerisms of that of the fae. Mischievous and sometimes pesky to humans but, not vicious in anyway.  Thus, this strange idea came about in the height of the distrust of humans and demons where one man wanted to bring about a new wave of peace in his own interesting way.
History Just like how angels are one of the oldest species on the planet, demons are also very ancient. Depictions of demons can even found in early forms of writing and documents. Though modern day demons are different from their earlier counterparts the thing that remains the same are their modes of transportation. Before man made objects dug into the earth demons relayed on nature made structures and or summoning to come to the overworld as they call it. When humans started to dig mineshafts for coal in the 1880′s and oil some lucky [or unlucky] individuals found away to literally dig a hole into hell. These unofficial holes were usually abandoned by humans, however it gave demons much easier access to the overworld. Some demons even settled around these abandoned mineshafts and created unofficial settlements close to humans. These settlements were small in numbers but, were some of the first contact that humans had with demons giving us data on the infernal language they use to communicate. (1.) The Idea  In the late 1970′s going into the 80′s there was a huge influx of xenophobia around demons and demonic entities due to recent outbreaks of demonic possession cases around North America. Most of these cases nowadays can be related to hysteria and a sort of “panic” swept the nation. However, one man decided to take this panic and change it into something more educational. Damien Adams a well known demonologist proposed an idea at a the 30th annual Worlds Fair in New York. He an a well known hotel chain runner Ernest Barkly have created an idea for a tourist trap/ Hotel underground where people can vacations in the depths of Hell! The idea was coined due to some studies showing that the fiery brimstone that most people know the underworld to be is only but, ONE of the main vibrant ecosystems that the underworld has. This push to monetize the underworld came under-fire with several groups questioning the safety  of humans surviving underground. “This idea was madness!” Pastor Heath Mcnoland of the New Mages Church  said to the Daily Dragon in a 1973 interview. Even though there was a very loud minority of people who did not enjoy this idea there was the other majority who sought it out as a new way to gain traffic in the tourist industry.  The “Urbanization” of Hell itself.  During the integration of demons being introduced into the overworld scientist found out that due to the limited contact with humans and other species. Demons had a different outlook on what the world was at the time. They were years behind on what humans and other species were experiencing so, in an effort to “urbanize and build the Route 666 hotel.” Damien Adams, Ernest Barkly and some other government officials agreed to the monarchy of hell at the time to bring the underworld into the modern age in turn they will grant permission to build their hotel. Damien Adams was ready to show the world that the underworld was not only scary but, also a world full of interesting and monetizable. Thus, the Route 666 Open Hell tours was open to the public despite the controversy.

'Christopher Nolan's blockbuster Oppenheimer introduces audiences to nuclear physicist David Hill (Rami Malek), but doesn't tell his whole story. In addition to J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy), the film features several prominent scientists who worked on the Manhattan Project including Hill, Edward Teller (Benny Safdie), Isidor Isaac Rabi (David Krumholtz), and Ernest Lawrence (Josh Hartnett). Nolan's narrative takes viewers through the development of nuclear weapons followed by the personal and political fallout from their deployment in World War II.
David Hill plays a major role in closing out Oppenheimer, featuring prominently during the Senate confirmation hearing for Lewis Strauss (Robert Downey Jr.) as secretary of commerce. Malek delivers a powerful performance in the testimony scenes as his character Hill exposes Strauss' betrayal of Oppenheimer. An otherwise minor role becomes a turning point in establishing Strauss as the villain of the film and rallying audience support for Oppenheimer against the charges he is a communist. Given what transpired leading up to Strauss' hearing, it's unsurprising what happened to Hill after the events of Oppenheimer.
What Happened To David Hill After Lewis Strauss' Senate Hearing
Lewis Strauss' Senate hearing concluded in 1959 with the Atomic Energy Commission member failing to receive enough votes for confirmation. Following his influential testimony against Strauss, David Hill moved into the private sector. However, he remained closely associated with the work he did alongside J. Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project. Hill joined a group from the Met Lab at the University of Chicago to examine the social and political fallout of the nuclear bomb.
Hill's later career included founding, developing, and leading multiple scientific research firms. He was head of Nanosecond Systems Inc. from 1963 to 1972. The company manufactured high-precision measuring equipment. Hill also spent 30 years as president of the patent enforcement and investment company Harbor Research Corp. The accomplished nuclear physicist also served as a fellow for the American Physical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
David Hill Died In 2008
David Hill died on December 14, 2008, in Brighton, New York. He was 89 years old. Hill was predeceased by his wife, Mary Shadow, who passed away in 1992. The couple had been married since 1950 and had seven children together. All seven children survived Hill along with 14 grandchildren and his companion at the time, Sharon Vincent.
Hill's obituary notes he was a renowned nuclear physicist and acknowledges his collaboration with Enrico Fermi in building the first nuclear chain reactor. There is no mention of the Manhattan Project, his work with J. Robert Oppenheimer, or his impact on American politics. It's another indication that Hill wanted to distance himself from the events of Oppenheimer and continue a less politicized career in science.'

"The other thing that bothers us is that since we don't know who we are, we don't know how we came here. You don't know where we came from - oh, I know, you say 'the sperm and the egg.' Sperm and the egg! Where do babies come from? 'Sperm and the egg!' Idiot answer. It's not an answer at all, it's merely a description of a speck in a causal process that is a mystery. We don't know where babies come from. You get married, you're sitting at a table having breakfast - there are two of you - and a year later there's somebody else, sitting there. And if you're honest with yourself, you don't know where they came from. You've made contact with them at the hospital, but that was another step on the causal chain. They just came, literally, out of nowhere, and they keep growing in your environment. If you stop to think about it, which you don't, because it's annoying, it's upsetting, then it's a total mystery. And if a child said, 'Where did I come from?' you don't know. So you can't answer honestly."

Oppenheimer Movie Review
The story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb.
Now I am Become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.
The moment when physicist, John Cockcroft and Ernest Walton spit the first atom at Cavendish Laboratory on the 14th of April, 1932, the world changed forever. It caused a chain reaction for the race of the first atomic weapons that have the power to destroy humanity absolutely. What thoughts and horrors did the scientist have while creating such a weapon. Did it tear them apart, or give them pride. One such physicist, J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, carried the weight of the world once realizing the horrors and destruction that his weapon can unleash. But who was this man really. Director Christopher Nolan challenged himself to show the world who Oppenheimer was. In which he delivers not only his best film, but his most important, his Magnum Opus.
Oppenheimer is not a standard biopic. At its heart, its a deep and personal character study of J. Robert Oppenheimer. We begin with him as he starts his career as a wide eye physicist who wants to push the world of Theoretical Physics and Quantum Mechanics to knew heights. Then when the first atom is spit and the break of the Second World War, he is pulled into the military as his knowledge and warfare are combined into creating the first atomic weapon. Once he realized the horror that he has created, we see the weight of such a weapon begin to crush him, both internally and externally. It's devastating and harrowing to watch. While witnessing Oppenheimer's slow destruction, we cut to Lewis Strauss confirmation hearing in Washington DC in 1959. Here we watch the government and physicist rebel against the man who caused Oppenheimer to be Blacklisted in scientific and government communities. Both of these storylines are engrossing as we see Christopher Nolan perfect his filmmaking techniques.
Nolan's filmmaking here is at his best. His dialogue and writing is the sharpest that it has ever been as he masterfully explains the nuclear physics and McCarthyism. Even through it is heavy in exposition at points, all conversations are captivating as it is paired with Nolan's visual storytelling and editing. His visualization of Oppenheimer's guilt is horrifying. Then when that visualization is paired with a riveting courtroom drama, Nolan presents a horrifying reality that we now live in. The pacing is tight as it's three hour run time flies by. The pacing is so tight that I wished the film was longer so I can see more of Oppenheimer's life. Christopher Nolan, if there is a director's cut, please release it. The sound design however was a little mixed. I am unsure if it was my theater or the sound design/mixing, but it was hard to understand what people were saying on screen. However, the sound design for the atomic bomb was horrifying and enthralling as I felt the entire theater shake during its detonation. Nolan is at his best in Oppenheimer as he pushes himself and his ensemble to their limits.
Oppenheimer is going to take the Academy Awards this year in the acting categories. At the heart of this film is Cillian Murphy's performance as J. Robert Oppenheimer. His performance is riveting and harrowing as he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He portrays the guilt that Oppenheimer carries masterfully through his eyes and the trembling of his voice. He proves here that he is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood, and is going to earn his first Oscar nomination. Robert Downey Jr. is a fantastic complement to Murphy's performance. Downey is perfect as the narcissistic and determined politician who is hungry for power. He will definitely earn another Oscar nomination along side Murphy. Emily Blunt is powerful and is an instant show stealer, that might garner her an Oscar nomination. Florence Pugh and Matt Damon were both excellent in their respective performances. While the remaining ensemble is filled with numerous A-list actors who give fantastic and memorable performances, despite having a limited amount of screentime.
It was inspiring to see Christopher Nolan and the visual effects team creating the atomic explosion practically. They managed to show the horror and the divine fascination of such an weapon. So much so that it caused me to pick up my nuclear physics textbook I used in college. Yes, I learned some nuclear physics and quantum mechanics in college and in high school. It was really hard. Then when horrifying spectacle is paired with Ludwig Goransson captivating score, you become enchanted by the science and the politics within Oppenheimer. The cinematography is stunning as it goes back and forth between color and black and white. With each having its own unique visual purpose. The costume and production design is period accurate as they recreated Los Alamos in the sweeping New Mexico desert. I have driven past and been to Los Alamos and been to White Sand Missile Range, that is what the place still looks like. Overall, the production captured the time period perfectly.
Overall, Oppenheimer is a riveting and harrowing character study of one of the most important men is human history. It is Christopher Nolan at his best as he perfect all of his filmmaking techniques and pushes his cast to their limits. You will be left devastate by the horrors that you witness. Oppenheimer should be a required viewing is school as this film is that important to watch so we are not doomed to repeat history. We should never unleash a horror like this ever again.
My rating: A+

Ernest Groosman (1917-99) was part of a generation of architects that was faced with one of the major postwar problems: the scarcity of housing space and the necessity of accomodating the demand at rapid pace. Consequently Groosman for a large part of his career dealt with housing, construction systems and standardization. Having graduated both the intermediate technical school (MTS) in Utrecht and the school of higher vocational education (HBO) in Amsterdam with a degree in architecture Groosman was well-versed in hands-on building and designing. During his entire career, i.e. from the setting up of his own office in Rotterdam in 1948 until his retirement in 1981, he was never at a loss for commissions: gaining early fame with the Parkflat apartment building in Rotterdam there was a continuous stream of projects in housing, supplemented by his recurrent collaboration with prefabrication companies. As a sideline of the latter he also got involved with the design of supermarkets, a new retail concept hailing from the US. The new concept was rolled out by the Albert Heijn chain that commissioned Groosman to design a standard supermarket; the first store was opened in 1963 and Groosman continued to develop bigger and cheaper versions of the standardized supermarket as well as he built the company’s HQ. In addition he also ventured out into the up-and-coming field of shopping centers, a good example of how Groosman identified opportunities and capitalized on them.
Appropriately the most comprehensive monograph on the architect to date is in its title also hints at the ambition of the architect: „Ernest Groosman - Bouwer met grenzeloze ambities“, published in 2001 by Uitgeverij 010, in five chapters and catalogue of selected works shows that Groosman was ambitious both as an architect and an individual. From an early age on he had learned to love foreign countries and cultures and became a widely travelled man who kept in touch with global developments, both professional and cultural.
Although his work isn’t loved by everybody the present volume nonetheless is a worthwhile read on an architect who shaped postwar architecture in the Netherlands.

So I headcanon that Ernest is the Mouse with the long, sad tail(ignore the fact that Kate Prince said he became the next hatter at the end of the musical I don’t care) so I decided to try and design a more mouse like outfit. It was kinda hard cause the outfits are simple but I gave him a yellow jacket since I associate him with yellow and grey stripes that are supposed to look like mouse tails. I also gave him those chains you put on your glasses cause I thought it would be cute

More of Ernest’s cat (memento) mori. He is the one-eyed black cat of the mansion. Mori died only weeks after his owner, being hit by a car. Due to mori witnessing the death of his owner, he is a very protective cat, and has attacked multiple other animals (both living and dead). Eventually mori’s aggression got so out of control that Madame Leota had to put his spirit inside of a statue. When he is allowed out of “statue jail”, mori likes cuddling with his owner and batting at his chains.

Dsyfunctional Family Pt 2
Warning: Triggering themes/ Mentions of past abuse such as physcial/sexual and inclusion of minors this is NOT a romanticasation of such things just putting the pieces together of Shen Jius possible abuse at the hands of the Qiu household. There IS a smutty scene but thats seperate and at the time consentual until Shen Jiu loses it- BUT there is a warning before hand so you can read the rest until that point :D Enjoy.
Shen Jiu realised he was in some sort of routine, He sent Luo Binghe off on some quest and the Beast would succed. But this was a bad habit, if some enemy of his or Luo Binghe knew that Shen jiu was in charge of Luo Binghe's work load and organisation then they would target him. Luo Binghe can easily defeat anyone and obtain power...he wasn't very good at maintaining it. When Luo Binghe kidnapped Shen Jiu this wasn't what he had in mind, being Luo Binghe's glorified secretary. How Huan Hua palace hasn't fell into ruin already is ridiculous.
But to be fair...that was his fault, Unlike Shen Yauns beast who became Shen Qingqiu personal shadow he was in charge of the elder Peak Lords work, unlike this Luo Binghe who was whipped in a shed.
Luo Binghe had no good Shizun to teach him this, the man couldn't even deal with trade between the demon and human realm and what was his solution?
Combine the two! Like an idiot.
Shen Jiu had his hands full, he didn't even plan it- he was trying to escape and Luo Binghe kept him in his bedchambers to what- reinact Shen Yaun and his Beast passion? As if.
Luo Binghe was defiently disapointed by getting the Shen Qingqiu from wish.
Snooping around had him finding letters, deeds and the utter iresponsible way Luo Binghe was running this realm!
Shen Jiu wanted to leave it alone but, it irritated him. He began to sit down going through the letters summons, and after copying- then deciding against copying Luo Binghe's messy scrawl [He wasn't illiterate- but Shen Jiu does have to wonder] and began to write in ernest, organising the messy desk full of papers and cutting out the rubbish that was just false pretense of a rebellion.
And that was how Luo Binghe found his new ward, on a desk reading papers and even commentating.
"The Red Fox tribe has an offer for you, a tradesdeal through marriage- one of their own and unite their tribe with ours and you get to learn all about their oh so lovely illusion techniques. I'd write a letter to polite pass. The wife would be an illusion herself marking the offer as void, or making you lose more than you gain- no need to thank me."
Luo Binghe had no idea if he wanted to Strangle the man or thank him [he made sure Shen Jiu didn't do anything suspicious and found nothing other than having his work organised- so many things in his realm was neglected, civilians farmers it was falling apart]
And so Shen Jiu made his peace with working under Luo Binghe as his Loashi and there was a signifigant improvment over ruling over this realm except...
Once others realised without Shen Jiu this will all fall apart and for some stupid reason Luo Binghe refused to learn.
Shen Jiu made the mistake of calling him a stupid beast-
He never made that mistake again, finding himself in a dungeon being whipped a lesson to learn his place. To remind him he wasn't the Shizun who can talk down to his students anymore. He stopped speaking to Luo Binghe, only silently working and leaving no longer being alone with the Demon Lord if he could help it. Luo Binghe had no knowledge that Shen Jiu was reminded of old memories, in a dark dungeon memories of being punished by the originol wrapped in chains with no limbs, the Qui household.
In the middle of the night he would call out the Yue Qingyuan and hate himself for it.
No one was coming for him.
When he would sneak around he would look through scrolls, texts anything to escape and go back home but there was nothing. He would pass Lou Binghe in the corridor and he would have a smirk on his face as if he knew what Shen Jiu was looking for and knew he couldn't find it. Shen Jiu scowled and walked away.
He was trapped in Luo Binghe's bed chambers, he was lucky that the beast didn't do something, but he would bind Shen Jiu and he was unable to move as he lay next to the sleeping Demon Lord.
Shen Jiu would still struggle, it was worse with the whip marks burning his skin-
He would glare at Luo Binghe and pause, he had dark circles under his eyes and he would look strained as if he had nightmares.
Shen Jiu looked away with a sigh. There was nothing he could do- this world was doomed there was nothing to fix-
The other world was better because of Shen Yuan!
It was Shen jiu who was the reason why everything was so broken, he couldn't fix it!
Shen Jiu teeth clenched his eyes burning- no he wasn't going to cry or wait for Yue Qingyuan he knew he never kept his promise and would never come for him.
But Shen Yaun and that beast- they'll find him, and get him back-
He'll just have to wait.
Shen Jiu gets sucked into Harem drama- why?- They are jelaous since he gets to sleep with Luo Binghe when they never get that privilege- What privilege!? They sleep with him all the time?
He gets assasin attempts, slipped poison in his teeth, publicly attacked. Shen Jiu brushed them off like an annoying fly nothing leaving an impact. He figured if he ignored it they would leave him alone.
On one instance when he was having tea with Ning yingying [they were able to let bygones be bygones and she was airheaded enough to like his company- or she really missed jing peak and wanted someone familiar to talk to of old times] and she ended up hurt in his place her hand stabbed through by a wayward dagger.
That was it
"If you don't control your harem I'm going to go gardening and start cutting out some weeds from your precious garden of flowers! Luo Binghe smirked, finding this threat empty. "Do your worst."
And all of a sudden, Luo Binghes 600th Harem began to shrink, fast. He barely noticed since he had so many women to deal with and couldn't possibly remember all of them Which was why he took so long to realise so many women were gone!
Not Ying Xiao!? She was good she was great in tying ropes and understanding his needs!!! Shen Jiu went too far!
Shen Jiu shrugged I didn't kill them, he told Luo Binghe "Only dissolved the marriage, it turns out their dowrys were lacking for the demon Lord and found their service no longer needed in the Huan hua Palace, Luo Binghe deserved the best and he had no need for dead weight :D
Luo Binghe was regretting taking Shen Jiu in...
So Luo Binghe thinks "Well you're going to have to replace all of those women who had so much to offer." Shen Jiu just gives those duties to the remaining wives, actually teaching them on how to run a Palace and working together- he kept them so busy they didn't have time to even think of nefarious plots.
But next was the kids...
Luo Binghe's little beasts, "You're neglecting them, at least I was there to teach you some basics of cultivation and your real father was trapped under a mountain. Whats your excuse of ignoring your brats? Any good reason? After this they'll rip out your limbs and I'd say you deserve it." Luo Binghe's eyes glowed red "You're neglecting your own offspring, most are of age to cultivate now- you have as many kids to have your own peak of disciples why are you neglecting them!?"
And thats when Shen Jiu slowly realises something...did he just become Luo Binghes therapist? Well a hand on therapist?
Luo Binghe never realised how much better everything is- and how much he was spiraling everything would've collapsed if he kept this going.
"Why, why are you doing this?" Luo Binghe asked through gritted teeth, his pride still wounded of the audacity of Shen Jiu he wanted to put him in his place, reminded him who this demon lord was-
He made this empire! How dare this man take over!
Shen Jiu sighed "I'm taking responsibility." Luo Binghe paused on his ire.
"I failed as your shizun, and managed to build all of this with no thanks to me, I may have failed you. But I can help you and teach you to hold onto this and make your house stronger. I owe you this, allow me to be your servant."
It may have happened by accident, but Shen JIu would do anything to survive- Until Shen Yaun can save him.
Luo Binghe realised if he saw this as a debt to be owed, Shen Jiu taking over to fix his mistakes, well he had nothing to say to that.
"Teach me, Shizun. This Disciple is willing to learn."
Shen Yaun would not have survived in this enviorment, Shen Jiu thought one night looking at Luo Binghes resting face... Still tied in cables...what was with the Binghe's and rope?
Shen Yaun was too good, he had his scars and truama from his first experience in the other world but that Luo Binghe shared those wounds they had history, and understood one another.
Like Glass they were cracks, small scraps and fissues close to breaking a chipped rim, but still able to find themselves and fix their misunderstandings, they knew how to navigate one another without breaking those small cracks and might even be on the path to healing.
But this Luo Binghe was broken, glass shards impaling pale hands that strayed too close Shen Yaun knew nothing of this Luo Binghe's struggles and vice versa, Luo Binghe wouldn't understand why Shen Yaun was afraid of him, both would hurt each other in their ignorance.
Shen Jiu shut his eyes tight, Shen Yuan would've been hurt, broken, a shell of a man and Luo Binghe would try to hold him together as the pieces crumbled in his hands.
Shen Jiu was just as broken, and he knew Luo Binghe's history and was able to avoid most of the damage, even tried to channel his inner Shen Qingqiu of the other world and praised Luo Binghe-
He couldn't infuse warmth into his tone. He was many things but warm wasn't one of them.
18+ Under cut skip ahead if you like :3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But back to the extenct of his problems. Him Shen Jiu has painted a target on his back, and also Luo Binghe wouldn't stop whining about one of his wives!
"Just ask the little Princess!?" Shen Jiu snapped- wasn't she nortorius with a whip.
Luo Binghe scowled, "She has no control, I can't trust someone like that..." Shen Jiu eyes widened in surprise, wait- Luo Binghe wanted to get whipped? Shen Jiu didn't understand "Why- Why would you want to be hurt?" Luo Binghe hated pain, or anything to do with it that reminded him of what his Shizun did. Luo Binghe cool stare gazed at him before tilting into an emotion, "Oh don't tell me Shen Jiu is too innocent." He sounded pleased. Shen Jiu scowled "What you do in your personall life Be-Binghe." Shen Jiu almost slipped looking away.
"It has nothing to do with-"
Claws grabbed his chin and tugged him to look into demon red eyes.
"You can call me beast, Shizun. I promise I won't be angry. Sometimes I like being reminded of who I was, weak, pathetic helpless..." He spoke softly.
Shen Jiu eyes wavered, feeling his heart beat against his chest.
This was a test. "So- So that wife of yours," He took a guess "She understood your moods." A dominitrix of course. Luo Binghe hummed, happy his Shizun was catching on and the flush on his face gave Luo Binghe a thrill.
If he knew how fun this would be he would've choose this type of torture for Shen Jiu instead. "I told you to take responsibilty of my wives, since you can't think of anyone appropriate you'd have to do instead."
Shen Jiu almost panicked no there was no way in hell.
"I can't." He refused almost wretching out the grip, it tightened as Luo Binghes amusement fell- it was like a slap to the face. Shen Jiu was shaking.
"What? Can't do it yourself? Have to depend on others to do your dirty work that you've never touched a whip before?"
Shen Jiu flinched as Luo Binghe leaned close to his ear "Never felt it across your flesh-"
But he knew, Shen Jiu squeezed his eyes shut his body trembling as the could feel the phantom pain on his back, the sound the white hot flash-
He remembered hurting Luo BInghe, sitting there with his tea delighhting in the pained cries but fueling his anger, seeing Luo Binghe was like looking into a mirror of himself.
A boy who had a loving family, a caring friend who was there for him- he hated him. He despised him.
But mostly he hated himself, at how pathetic he had become to project his emotions on a boy-
That sounded like shen yuans than himself, Shen Yuan hated him- called him scum and he was right...
"If you don't I could demonstrate on you if you'd like, give you a taste-" "No!" Shen Jiu voice almost broke, it made Luo Binghe lean back, and like a mask Shen Jiu let nothing show on his face.
Once was enough, why was it that before Shen Yaun and Luo Binghe he could face any abuse and not care or shy away from it.
But after letting go of his past trying to heal from it, talking to Shen Yaun who knew more about him than he did himself why did it make him weaker, he couldn't been beaten to death before, but now the thought of a whip had him breaking out in a cold sweat.
But why- why did Luo Binghe want that!?
"Fine- Fine just get away from me, beast." Shen Jiu channeled the resentment and hated how it fit snug like a well worn coat.
Luo Binghe's eyes filled with resentment but then looked self assured.
Luo Binghe was sick of Shen Jiu and was pushing him to this so he could finally have a reason to kill him and rip his arms off.
Shen Jiu was onto you brat!
...He couldn't do this.
Luo Binghe was chained him, he had two of his wives stationed at the front both could hear what was going on and everything was planned to perfection with safety in mind. Shen Jiu's mind swam- yes he went to Brothels and red light districts but that was just to sleep! He never- they talked about this stuff but he'd never experienced this first hand and- and-
Luo Binghe was on the floor on his knees, his arms raised in chains and his back exposed, he turned his face smirking in delight at his Shizun standing there with a whip.
You'd thing Shen Jiu was going to get whipped with the way he was shaking like a leaf.
"Shizun," Luo Binghe spoke, mirth in his voice and it grounded Shen Jiu at the stupid ridiculous of this!? "This disciple apolgises to Shizun- I never meant to look at you, please forgive this wretched disciple."
Shen Jiu finally felt something calm down, his hands shaking and heartbeat thuddering.
He might be experienced a Qi deviation. Or at least Shen Jiu hoped so he was going to die-
How? How could he brutally hurt Luo Binghe and sit there and watch!? How could he stomach it?
Apathy...Shen Yauns voice spoke, you bury your emotions deep to the point where you feel nothing, usually anger is the only thing to come through- even thought you escaped the Qui Household you still never felt self. Even with Yue Qingyuan you felt as if he never had your support and even the peak lords looked down on you. Constantly trying to fight everyone and protect yourself you were still running and still afraid...
Shen Jiu waved away the little Shen yuans voice in his head.
Luo Binghe was staring at him, and Shen Jiu scowled.
Fine.
With no warning he struck-
The sound of the whip striking flesh, the pained cry and it was as if something snapped within Shen Jiu. His hands still shook as he raised the whip again, another pained cry and Shen Jiu face shattered in pain.
He did it too hard... The buzzing from before stopped and cold forced calm took over but now his own thoughts were too loud. He struck again, and felt Luo Binghe hiss- too soft. "You can do better than that." he laughed-
You can handle more than that, boy.
Shen Jiu was going to be sick, his hands shook so much his arm moving and struck, Luo Binghe yelped and a line of blood slowly eased and split into his back.
Shen Jiu's eyes snapped to the wound the buzzing and ringing in his ears too loud.
"...Shizun?"
That voice- the dungeon, hanging by bloody chains, shizun.
The sound of the whip dropped loose from his quivering hands as Shen Jiu took a step back.
"I can't- don't make me- don't make me-" He tripped falling backwards.
Don't make me do it! I promise I won't run away don't hurt me- please!
Shen Jiu shut his eyes and covered his ears pressing his lips together before he babbled "Stop it- Stop it- Stop it!"
Luo Binghe easily broke the chains as the door opened he dismissed his wives, at his movement Shen Jiu flinched back.
He fell forward pressing his head against the floor and it startled Luo Binghe who reached out.
"Qui-ge, please please don't whip me, I'm sorry for looking at you I didn't mean it I'm sorry please, please forgive me!" Shen Jiu voice was thin.
Luo Binghe kneeled before the man and reached out, sensing the movement Shen Jiu almost flinched back.
Until he looked up to see Luo Binghe with his hand outstretched looking worried. It was Bingmei, his little beast!
"Little Beast!" Shen Jiu face was tear stained as he lunged forward, Binghe must of woken up he disrupted Shen Yaun and him again but he was too upset to even feel bad about it.
"Take them away- you can take me memories away I know you can!" he clutched Luo Binghe like he did when he was reborn as a child crying and latching onto him like before, he never knew he would affiliate him with safety.
"I'll be like Shen Yaun, if I forget I'll be like him I'll be better you can fix it please just take me away please." He pleaded his voice hoarse and watery.
He felt Lou 'Bingemei' slowly raise his hand up then touch his hair almost afraid of something...? He barely had time to latch onto it before Luo Bing'mei spoke.
"Losing those memories will break you, you'll be a shell of a man I can't do that to shizun." Shen Jiu's eyes furrowed, Shizun?
"I don't care you can remove them I know you can- what does it matter what happens to me? I'll be better you can make me better-"
"Shh," Luo Binghe spoke, and Shen Jiu tensed body uncoiled falling against him, this was the usual- strange he stopped having these 'episodes' Shen Yuan would call them strange for one to sneak up on him.
He would always ask and Luo Binghe would deny him, Shen Jiu just felt so tired. Tired of being afraid- tired of a dead man!
He could feel Luo Bing'mei pick him up like he was a kid and began to walk away somewhere. Shen Jiu head cushioned on his chest as the sound of a door opened then shut.
"Beast?"
A pause, the hands tightened on him before relaxing, oh he still hated the name. Shen Jiu huffed a breath against Luo 'bingmei's' chest.
"Oh hush, you know I mean it as an endermeant," The beast stumbled at that- what he never told him?
After a pause, the footsteps echoing- echoing?
"What is it?" Luo 'Bingmei' asked.
"Tell me about the time you fell in love with Shen Qingqiu, you never told me."
Another pause as another door opened and he felt himself getting placed down on a bed.
"Well, when Shizun was kind to me, patting my head, here." Luo 'Bingmeis' Hand placed on Shen Jius head...it felt nice.
But that didn't sound right, Shizun was never kind to him, he hurt him pushed him down an abyss- no he did that Shen Yuan would never.
He could feel his chest constrict and his breathing heavy, and shook his head "That doesn't- I don't understand..." Shen Jiu felt Luo 'Bingmei' climb into bed with him and drew him close. Not un unfamiliar arrangment,
"Shh, rest and you'll wake up better in the morning."
He doubt it, these things always drained him, but the worries nagging to the back of his mind faded and dulled.
Sleep overcame him.
...Whips- a scream and pain in his back "Ah!" Shen Jiu cried out his eyes wide and panicked- this room- these walls!? "Listen to me boy," Qui-ge spoke with another whip his back.
"Talk back to me again, and I'll rip out your tongue."
"G-Gyah!"
Shen Jiu flalied, why? He's never had these dreams before Luo 'Bingmei' always stopped them always.
He looked around panicked then spotted him in a corner, watching. His eyes cold and calculating.
Why?
Suddenly he felt a hand on his back and cold sweat broke out as a panting breath tickled his ear, he struggled then felt a hand in his hair wrenching it back, Shen Jiu grunted and saw Qui JianLou face.
"You'll marry my sister and stay here forever," That hand trailed lower and Shen Jiu couldn't breathe.
"But I've always had your first-"
Stop- stop, don't make him relieve this not again not again-
The Dream snapped and it changed instantly, Shen Jiu blinked to see he was sitting with a young Disciple before him, getting whipped and each strike had him flinching internally, his voice spoke out calmly.
"Can't you take this Luo Binghe? If you can't handle this then what does that say about Jing Cangs Disciples?"
Each whip, each pained grunt had Shen Jiu screaming- each memory faded past why tortrous hell- then his first life passed by in a blur, Luo Binghe ripping of his arms he could feel it, being in in the dungeon chained.
Yue qingyuans head on the floor- he came for him, he came and was killed by a thousand arrows but it was too late it was always too late-
Just let him die- let it end!
Then...then it started again, he couldn't take this but- but it was Shen Yaun, his story, his changes his warmth and misunderstandings dying for Luo Binghe, hurting him being soft and loving him.
Shen Jiu being reborn, his family, Luo 'Bingmei' holding him at night, Shen Yuan berating him for being a scum villain but then holding him as he cried and said how brave and proud he was to try to learn to grow- to be better...
Being taken-
Shen Jiu awoke with a start, with Luo Binghe staring down at him with coal black eyes.
There were too many emotions in him but only one stood out.
When you're in pain, Shen yuan spoke in bamboo groove, You bury all of these feelings down to protect yourself and the only thing left thats strong enough is anger.
Shen Jiu lashed out kicked Luo Binghe off the bed, the demon lord was too surprised to react and took the hit.
"How dare you! You scum- you beast!" He did not say it fondly this time, Luo Binghe jumped up "Shizun calm down!" "You vile piece of shit, you went through my memories while I was trapped in them!" Shen Jiu ranted "Did it please you, my lord? knowing I was trapped in there feeling everything while you looked through my memories like some sort of entertaintment?"
Sleep paralysis Shen Yuan spoke, about being trapped with something hanging around you and you couldn't move.
"Relieving my pain must of made you feel oh so good about yourself- you killed your old Shizun but now you found new ways of torture?" Shen Jiu laughed advancing before giving a few slow claps.
"Well it was your best one yet, whats next? lull me into a false sense of security? Make me feel protected then needed then what? Rip of a body part? what else? What next do you want from me?"
He shoved Luo Binghe almost out the door.
"Shen Qingqiu-" That was not his name, not anymore- he was Shen Jiu- a number, a thing to be owned and used then discarded. Something filthy that can never be clean even Yue Qingyuan didn't want him.
"Just kill me," Shen Jiu spoke softly.
Luo Binghe gaped almost looking like that sorry excuse of a husband. It was pathetic, the beast probably didn't know what he'd done.
The small fragile peace shattered- Shen Jiu was wrong, Shen Yuan wouldn't survive this place but neither could he.
No Matter what Luo Binghe was clumsy beast that broke anything in his demon hands then had the nerve to look like he was being wronged.
"Get out."
"Shizun-"
Shen Jiu grabbed the nearest object and tossed it, and ink pot that shattered splattering the wall and Binghe.
"I said get out!" Luo Binghe left and Shen Jiu collapesed to his knees.
He had to get out of here. Shen Yuan and Luo Binghe might save him, but...like before he needs to find a way out himself first...
Luo Binghe found himself slumped against the wall and shut his eyes, he never meant to cause sleep paralysis, he had no control.
He used dreams for his wives which were always pleasent, they had good memories or if anything bad happened he would be there after to soothe their hurt.
Or he tortured other demons and humans, he never cared for their mental state so he never figured he should learn.
He hurt his Shizun, he never meant for it to go this far, but he wanted to know why he reacted that way in the play room.
And he flipped through memoires and say that this Shizun was different to the one decomposing in chains beneith their feet.
He never hut Ning yingying.
Maybe in some circumstances what happened at the Qui house...the ripples extended to adulthood like a mark, maybe Shizun had no idea what he was doing thinking it was normal.
Luo Binghe brushed a hand through his face.
On that night, he avoided Shen Jiu but in the dreamscape he couldn't help but peak in to see his Shizuns nightmares being unfolded again, Luo Binghe waved his hand, he was going to change the dreamscape to a memory of the three of them, Shen Jiu as a child with the elder better variants of them.
Then decided against it, that would pour salt in the wound if he awoke with them not there.
He still kept it to Jing Cang peak, but at a river, a memory of Shen Jiu playing the Quiqin alone, admist the bamboos. He left him alone after that. He ruined everything but Shen Jius sleep will not be plaughed no more.
____________________________________________________________
Oop well - I guess I need a part three- Sorry for the adult and triggering themes, but reading about the Qiu household and Shen Qingqius abuse as well as his possible altercation of Ning yingying and that he frequented brothels made me wonder if it was implying something else happened in that household since MXTX does imply things like Incest/Minors/lack of consent in her stuff [it's not romanticised if thats what your worried about] I do wonder if that was what happened with looking at the breadcrumbs- especially since Shen Jiu burned the household down but only killed the men but spared the women and children.

“Ernest Sinclaire, P.I.:” Season 4
S04Ep10: Commander Crime Lord. Something shady is afoot with Detective Sinclaire’s next case. His investigative talents reveal a very disturbing (and illegal) weapons dealing involving his latest client’s US Navy commander. Although the man attempts to deny it several times, using evidence as backup, there is no competition when Detective Ernest Sinclaire is in charge of catching the bad guys. He’s never failed an assignment, and he doesn't plan to now. But given this suspect’s position, he may have to work extra hard in making sure that his record stays that way.
S04Ep11: All’s (Un)Fair in Love and Ignorance. A string of crimes starts showing up at the university that Allison McQueen attended, and the primary suspect is Detective Sinclaire’s ex-wife, Billie Rose Todd, especially since all the areas that were affected are places that Allison frequented as a student. What’s worse, Billie Rose doesn’t seem to realize that her ultimate nemesis has already graduated, so her little schemes have no purpose. Unfortunately, the current students are now facing the wrath of this mystery suspect, and Detective Sinclaire will stop at nothing to find them, knowing full well that a certain Miss Todd never liked getting her hands dirty.
S04Ep12: Call from the Grave. When a group of young hikers returns from a long trip, their leader gets in touch with Detective Sinclaire when they receive a chain of messages on their phone. It doesn’t seem like much, only the texts are from their best friend, who went missing a year ago on the hike, and everyone believes they are dead now. Now Ledford Park’s best private eye must slap the hiking boots back on as he and Allison make way on the longest and hardest expedition yet, hoping to find any trace of the texts’ source, or maybe even the presumed-dead hiker.

back at it again with the gothic lit class posting. had to watch kenneth branagh's frankenstein tonight and it was uhh. A ride! some of my notes
- to preface i have seen one kenneth branagh movie before and it was his hamlet which was, to say the least, a little over the top. after seeing this one it seems this may be a pattern in his work
- walton is there! and there's no igor! it does include most of the events in the actual book so A for effort! also no ernest though 😔
- the sets and costumes were great I don't actually know much about historical costuming but everything looked really nice and well made i appreciate that
- did not appreciate victor frankenstein's little main character moment monologue in his first class at ingolstadt. you are annoying and the second hand embarrassment from everyone in this delightfully accurate anatomical theatre is palpable
- whyyyyy did they have to crank up the sibling thing between victor and elizabeth while SIMULTANEOUSLY cranking up the romance. you're disgusting you're revolting i hate you give me $200000
- also made victor much more of an asshole to elizabeth. not fun!
- kinda liked the take on the reanimation process quite gross and much more complex than the usual stitch'n'zap. why the ass shot of the creature though
- the process was also rube goldbergian to the point of goofiness which was only exaggerated by the extended scene of victor trying to get the creature on his feet only to repeatedly slip and fall in spilled amniotic fluid it was fucking hysterical swear to god
- this ends with victor getting the creature tangled in his mad scientist bead curtain of random chains and hooks wherupon the creature gets bonked on the head and victor presumes him dead, writes an absolutely scathing final note in his journal, and promptly fucks off to pass out and be revived an unknown time later by clerval feeding him soup. hoorah
- creature has a bizarre action movie-esque montage of escaping a mob in ingolstadt via brute force followed by parkour and finally jumping onto a cart of dead bodies being taken out of the city because there's an outbreak of something or other. it's somehow very plot relevant but in like three different unrelated instances, one of which is this
- clerval gets a more dramatic proposal from victor about partnering in his medical practice than elizabeth does about their actual marriage
- creature beats up cottage family's landlord. king of direct action
- there's no drawn out trial for justine she gets killed by a mob which really undercuts the themes and emotional resonance of that part of the story imo
- maybe it was because they had to carve out like 20-30 full minutes for various frankenfam frolicking scenes
- *victor and elizabeth Wedding Night™ scene* *me tapping awkwardly on the window* uhh guys? the creature?? guys y- AUGH not going in there actually you can carry on
- genuinely don't remember but umm does the creature rip elizabeth's entire beating heart out in the book? i don't think he does that?? y'all??
- clerval got sidelined so hard they fucking forgot to kill him
- in conclusion: very over the top. sadly painfully heterosexual. worth a watch if you have some friends to exchange bewildered glances and exclamations with throughout
