Greewood
This settlement was one of the first settlements for the Fate of the Sun campaign. It’s a classic fantasy town, complete with corrupt yet stupid nobles, a powerful thieves’ guild, merchants, a frontier, and some wizards. Plenty of opportunities for adventure hooks and plots. The next time I have a more typical D&D campaign running, it’ll likely be set in Greewood (even if it begins in Kleinschweig).
LE Large town
Corruption +5; Crime +0; Economy +3; Law +1; Lore +0; Society -2
Qualities financial, notorious, organized crime
Danger +25
DEMOGRAPHICS
Government Overlord
Population 4,728 (79% humans, 9% halfling, 5% elf, 3% dwarf, 2% gnome, 1% half-orc, 1% half-elf)
Noteable NPCs: Lord Jamus Villey (human aristocrat 5); Pearly (halfling commoner)
MARKETPLACE
Base Value 3,200 gp; Purchase Limit 20,000 gp; Spellcasting 5th
Minor Items 3d4; Medium Items 2d4; Major Items 1d4
Outside of Greewood is a healthy farming agriculture. The merchants in Greewood also purchase wool from Kleinshweig to sell it to the spinners within the town proper. Many of the buildings are constructed of stone and timber. There are open markets in many centers of the town. A lovely sector is near the docks district, although many undesirable elements tend to congregate in the docks district. Defenses: Greewood has 48 full-time guards
LOCATIONS
The Knave & Flagon
On Hell-hound's Avenue, in a temple quarter of grand shrines and militant clerics. Its neighbors include a library of divine wisdom and a busy public square. The inn is a two-storey timber and brick building, with unusually high ceilings. Accomodations consist of several rooms on its second floor and its first floor. The innkeeper is an overweight male human named Brewill Hoparr. He is a retired thief, and is rumored to have a hidden cache of stolen treasure. Patrons * Gwari: Male Dwarf Cleric, Neutral. GROUPS/FACTIONS
Greewood Thieves Guild
The Greewood Thieves Guild is connected to The Emerald Star in Taleah. It's a small Thieves Guild. It is headquartered in The Maiden & Blade. It recently received an agent from the Emerald Star who told them they needed to steal an heirloom from House Villey. No one in the Greewood thieves guild knows where the stolen heirloom is supposed to go, nor do they know who contracted the theft. The Emerald Star agent left to send message to the guild in Taleah to find out what the patrons want in terms of delivery. However, that agent has not yet returned to Greewood or sent message. So the guild is currently waiting for instructions and keeping the heirloom in their safe in the hoard room. Aersent is the current head of the guild.
Aersent: Token (Small Female Gnome Rogue 4 N) Aersent is exceptionally beautiful, with straight white hair and hazel eyes. She wears leather armor and wields a rapier and a hand crossbow. Aersent is cautious and selfish. Aersent is the head of the Greewood Thieves Guild. Goals: Immediate: Notes: Same stats as Small Town Thief Boss.

House Villey (See Taleah)
The Villey manor in Greewood is smaller than the manor in Taleah. Lord Jamus Villey keeps 10 servants for the house, and a House guard of 15 (Guard, warrior 3). Among the guard is Jeremy, its captain. Gauwyn Ethyn presides as the House's Priest.
Lord Jamus Villey (LN Male human Aristocrat 5) Short Black hair and small beady brown eyes. He wears an expensive light blue noble's outfit with a deep purple trim. He is nervous and slow-witted.
