I Like That (Part 3)

Title: I Like That Pairing: Erik X BlackFemale!Reader Previous Parts: Part 1, Part 2 summary: just uh....hide your purse aight? (author’s note: uh, ...so...um...it’s been a while right? very sorry about that but it’s here now and I already know how i’m ending it so that’s great. ...this part is written in erik’s pov cause that really helped me break the block i had on it. ...I hope you enjoy it. only one more part to go.) He knew he had fucked up. She wouldn’t even look at him and had scooted as close to her door as she possibly could. He mentally cursed himself and his ego. He wasn’t even sure why he had snapped at her so hard. What she said was fundamentally true and she had the right to speak on what she knew first hand, but it must have been the mixture of David, her being so mad at him, and the fact that her blow had hurt that had him acting up.

“Y/n, listen.”

“Erik, I said shut up.” She said looking down at her nails that were done in a french tip, something she had been doing since grade school. He remembered how her mom thought color was too ‘grown’ and that ‘young women should only have French tipped nails’. He remembered laughing at her nails in the car when she held them out for him to see, and then he remembered moaning as those same nails wrapped around him.

“I’m sorry, alright.” He sighed and rubbed his hand down his face.

“You’re always sorry Erik. It never helps anything. You’re a sorry ass nigga. So what?” She finally looked at him fury and sadness in her brown eyes.

He swallowed his anger at her name calling and looked out of the window to calm down, “Listen, I know you fucking hate me, and I don’t blame you. I treated you like shit in high school.”

“No, you treated me worst than shit. You dogged me, Erik. Do you know how it feels to be beaten down by the nigga you thought you were in love with? No you don’t because everybody loved you.” Her voice had raised, he could tell that she didn’t give a shit about the mixed company they were in.

“Y/n.”

“Don’t Y/n me. I’m going to say what I should have been said, Erik. You fucked me in private. Used me like a sex toy and in public I was your verbal punching bag. And you set the tone for everyone else in high school. High school was hell for me.”

“What was I supposed to do about it? I was a kid, Y/n. I really feel like you’re overestimating my influence.”

“You were supposed to stop it, not add on to it.”

“Well I’m sorry. I truly am. I wasn’t perfect back then and I’m not perfect now and all I can do now is apologize.”

She shook her head, wiping under her eyes quickly. “It was so long ago, and I haven’t thought about it in years. I stopped being your victim a long time ago Erik….it’s just this reunion has brought up so many memories.” She took a deep breath and exhaled looking at him again. “I’m sorry too. I’ve been acting like a child.”

“Yes you have.” He joked, laughing when she shot a scowl his way. “I’m kidding. I understand your anger. I really do. It’s not right how I treated you, and if any man treated my daughter like that I’d kill him with my bare hands.”

“Your daughter? You got a child?” She looked surprised.

He smirked, “What if I said I did? What would that mean?”

“That you still haven’t learned to use condoms.” She shook her head, running her hand through her hair. She looked surprised, as if that wasn’t what she wanted to hear.

He smirked to himself.“I’m kidding. No kids yet. …Ain’t found the right woman…” He looked down her seated frame, biting down on his lip as his gaze settled on her hips and the thigh that had poked out of the slit on the dress. “And the woman I want to have my babies don’t want me.”

She was pointedly ignoring his blatant staring, choosing instead to scroll through her phone. “Well maybe you’ll have luck at the reunion. Remember that girl Monica? She’s been asking the facebook group if you were coming.”

He rolled his eyes and sat back in his seat, “Don’t nobody want Monica. Her breath was stank.” She chuckled and the sound warmed his soul.

The best times he could remember in high school was of her and him chilling in his car outside of her house. She would sneak out the window because her mom didn’t allow boys in the house and honestly didn’t like him one bit but she would take the chances of being caught outside with him anyway.

They would sit and listen to the radio, singing along with their favorite songs, and roasting the bad songs. They would sling insults back and forth until they ended up not being able to speak from laughing so hard.

In tough times, she would be a warm shoulder to lean on, saying nothing that might make him close up when he happened to cry. In reverse, he would be there times when her dad would flake on her again or forget her birthday, or when her mom was just being too restrictive.

It was those times he remembered, even more than the sex they shared, those times where she was his best friend. He missed that.

“Her breath did used to be a little tart.” She spoke back looking at him.

“A little? The girl used to exhale and burn off people’s eyebrows.”

She laughed then, fully, holding onto her stomach. “You’re mean.”

“I’m honest.” He looked out the window. They still had about twenty minutes until they made it to the reunion. “So, where did you meet David?”

She looked at him and shook her head. “Uh uh.”

“Uh uh? What do you mean uh uh?”

“You are not fixin to clown my man, okay? No. I’m not letting it happen.”

“Ain’t nobody about to clown your man. …I mean I didn’t know you liked light skinned men but-

“See you’re already clowning him.”

He shook his head, “No, I was just joking. Seriously, tell me I want to know.”

She rolled her eyes, “Well if you must know, we met at a conference in Arizona.”

“So he’s in business?”

“No, tech actually. He was at the conference networking. At the time he was trying to startup this app, Nozzle. It’s a app that-

“I know about Nozzle.” Erik actually knew Nozzle pretty well seeing as he had invested some money in the startup a while back trying to get his portfolio up.

However, he didn’t remember seeing David’s name in the business plan. “So, he’s still working with Nozzle then?”

“Nah, they ousted him. He had a completely different vision than the other two men and they decided to part ways amicably. He’s actually working on a festival idea, kind of like a black Coachella but not like Afropunk or anything. That’s why he’s not here right now. He had a meeting to attend with some investors.”

Erik couldn’t help but smirk, “A festival?”

“Don’t even-“

“I bet its going to be lit. …Straight…Fyre.”

“I’m not talking to you anymore.” She looked out of the window folding her arms again.

“Wait, wait. I’m just kidding.” He pulled one of her arms down, so she wouldn’t close up on him again. “Seriously though, he does know a new festival right now, it’s not the move.”

She sighed, “It’s legit though and he has a good plan for it. Nothing too extravagant. I’ve been working it out with him, setting up meetings for him.”

“Setting up meetings for him? You a secretary now?”

“Nah, I’m a good girlfriend. Why shouldn’t I help him if I can?”

Erik looked at her and then shrugged, “I mean, I guess. But…just don’t put none of your money in it.” When she didn’t say anything, he sighed. “How much?”

It was her turn to rub the back of her neck, “Uh…just 50,000 dollars.”

“50,000 dollars?”

“We got a loan, so he could have the capital to start moving stuff and showing investors he wasn’t coming in empty handed.”

“Oh my god, Y/n. The whole reason you get investors is so that you don’t have to get loans like that or at least so you can pay off the damn loan. How much has he paid off.”

“10,000.”

“Oh my godddd.” Erik wanted to die. He wanted to strangle Y/n, in the most loving way, for being so stupid and then he wanted to kill David. “He’s fucking scamming you and probably everyone else he’s talked to. Why did he get ousted from Nozzle?”

“I told you because they had different visions-“

“Nah, that’s what that nigga told you.” He pulled out his phone. “Send me a picture of him.”

“Why?” Erik rolled his eyes and tried hard not to snap at her, “Don’t argue with me right now. Send me a picture.” When she pulled out her phone he sighed.

“This nigga is running your name into the ground and you probably don’t even know it.”

“He’s legit Erik.” The airdrop notification came up on his phone and he accepted it, getting a fairly clear picture of David.

“We’ll see.” He pulled up an app that allowed him to search FBI databases, search engines, wanted ads, and many more places by picture and name.

“What’s his name?”

“David Johnson.” She had moved closer trying to see what he was doing on his phone. “Are you doing a background check on him?”

“Nah, but you should have.” He hit search and the app began trying to match David’s photo and name to anything they could.

“I can’t believe this. You’re so fucking smart, Y/n. You graduated summa cum lade and you’re nearly running that firm you’re at. I can’t believe that you can’t smell a scammer from a mile away.”

“How do you know all of that?”

Before he could answer his phone dinged, he smirked pressing the article that came up. David Johnson was Gregory Malcolm, the man who was caught misappropriating funds from Nozzle. Who was still wanted by authorities in California, New York, and Georgia.

“Is David’s middle name Joanne?” He started looking down at the picture of David being escorted out of a building in handcuffs.

“No…why?”

“Cause your man’s a fucking scammer.”

summary; Your boyfriend, Erik, invites you to go to the Grammys with him. Being the best girlfriend you are, said yes, without thinking of the consequences. The day of the grammys you get cold feet, now it’s up to Erik to calm your nerves.

It’s been a couple of weeks since the whole instagram live’ fiasco went down and you couldn’t be any happier. You expected it to crash and burn like a lot of people who date celebrities, but it turned out different than you expected. Erik’s fans absolutely adored you. They would always ask about you when he gets on live and he just can’t help but be all giddy inside when that happens.

Right now, you were laying on top of Erik on the couch in the living room, watching tv. Erik was tracing random patterns on your back when he randomly asked you a question.

“You wanna go to the Grammys with me?”

“Hm..?”

“I said..” He lifted your chin softly so you would look him directly in the eyes. “You wanna go to the Grammys with me, ma?”

You gasped softly. “Are you serious?”

“Yeah.” He said with his cute lil’ smile that clearly showed his dimples.

“You can meet all your lil’ artists that you like so much.”

“But, babe, I already met you.” You said while adjusting yourself to straddle him.

He sat up, wrapped his arms around your waist and laughed. You absolutely love his laugh. He does laugh often, but you love it even more when it’s only you hearing it.

He licked his lips and looked at you directly in the eyes.

“Oh my god.” You tried you get away from him, but he tightened up his arms around your waist.

“Plleaasseee Mami.” He pleaded.

“Erik! St-”

“Mami mami mami mami PLEAASSEEE.” He gently shook you while you laughed.

“Por favor?” He said quietly while looking up at you with puppy dog eyes.

“Okay fine!” You said while rolling your eyes. “But only so you’ll stop begging!”

“But my begging worked so I’m not complaining.” He said with a smirk.

You laid back down on his chest and continued to watch T.V. while Erik rubbed your back. After a while, you started to think about how the Grammys would turn out. Would I even look good? Will everyone look at me like I’m a clown? I hope I don’t look a hot mess. Thoughts like that swarmed your mind until Erik cupped your face with both of his hands and turned your head to face his.

“Ma, you aight?” He said with concern written on his face.

“Yeah... I’m fine.” You said while putting a small smile on your face.

“Aight...” He kissed your lips. “You were making that face you always make when you think really hard..... I just wanted to make sure that you were okay.”

“Aw, Baybeee....” You kissed his cheek.

“I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”

“It’s my job to worry about you!” He said while lightly shaking your head. “What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t worry about my, babygirl? Hm?” He laid your head back down and dramatically started rocking you like a baby.

You broke out into a fit of giggles while Erik tightened his grip around your torso and rocked you intensely.

“E-Erik!! S-StAW-”

“I’m showing you that I care about you, babygirl!” He said in-between grunts.

“You’re gonna fling us off of the couch!” You said while trying to escape his death-grip he has on you.

He stopped rocking and locked eyes with you.

“But, it’s my job to worry about the most important girl in my life. Don’t forget it.”

You rolled your eyes and laid back down on his chest. “I won’t”

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* 1 week later ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:*

“Are you going to the Grammys? Yeah, Y/N is coming with me too. So i’m sure it’s gonna be really fun.” Erik licked his lips before leaning into phone to read some more comments off of his Instagram live.

“Are you nominated for the Grammys? Yup yup. I’m nominated for uh... Best New Artist, Best Song, Best Record, and Best Album.” He turned around to be met with his girlfriend sleeping peacefully on the bed. Erik rubbed her shoulder and turned around back to his phone.

“Do you guys have outfits picked out? Not yet, but whatever Y/N wears, she’s gonna look good.” Erik smiled to himself before continuing to read his comments until he fell asleep.

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* 3 weeks later ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:*

“BABY!” You felt something soft hit you on your back.

You grumbled incoherent words and turned over on your side.

“So we doin’ that now... Aight...”

You heard footsteps walk away so you decided to go back to sleep. A couple of minutes later, you felt the covers, and your warmth, being snatched from yourself.

“Rise and shine, princess!” You opened your eyes to see Erik smiling with all of his teeth showing and holding the covers with both of his arms.

“N’jadaka...” You groaned while walking towards the bathroom.

“Whoa now... you didn’t need to say a nigga’s government name like that.” He said while following you.

You rolled your eyes while you walked into the bathroom, closing the door on his face.

“Wow. Okay. Um.... your clothes are onto of the sink, babygirl. We’re leaving in 30 minutes to get our outfits, get our make-up done, our hair done, and uh.... I don’t know. I forgot. It left my brain.. Love you, Mamas!”

You snickered to yourself.

“I love you too, Negro!”

You looked at yourself in the mirror and smiled, but then that smile disappeared when today registered in your head.

Today was the Grammys.

shitshitshitshitshitshitshitSHIT- You rubbed your face and sighed. You can get through this.. You hope..

“I’ll be right back, okay?”

“Erik- okay.”

“Lock the door. I love you.” He chaste kissed you and grabbed the Tesla key card from you.

“I love you too.”

He closed the door and you locked the car while watching him walk into the Dry Cleaners. You still had thoughts in your head about the Grammys. Of course you said yes and you knew that the Grammys were a BIG deal, it’s just that it didn’t catch up to you at you were ACTUALLY going to the Grammys.

You looked over to the dry cleaners to see a girl jumping around near Erik while he was writing something, supposedly his signature. They talked for a while until he pointed at the car and smiled. They both looked at you and started waving. So, you waved back and smiled. They started talking again so you started playing some music while you waited on Erik.

A couple of minutes later, Erik came back with two black garment bags. You unlocked the car and he opened back door.

“Thanks, Baby.” He said while putting the garment bags in the back seat.

“No problem.”

He shut the door and got into the driver’s seat. He paused for a couple of seconds before turning his head towards you.

“Baby, you good?” He said with concern laced in his voice.

“Yeah, yeah. I’m good.”

He looked you up and down before slowly starting the car and driving off.

He drove for a little bit in silence, listening to the music, before starting a conversation with you.

“You know... I love that hoodie on you, Mamas..”

You rolled your eyes. The hoodie that you were wearing right now was a red hoodie. The same red hoodie that Erik was wearing right now. The only thing different about it was that on the back of your hoodie it says, ‘Monger’s Girl’.

“Of course you love this hoodie, Daka.” You said while chuckling.

“Hell yeah I do! It means you’re not going anywhere! So you can tell your lil’ boyfriends you were planning on dating after we were to “break up” that you’re gonna be preoccupied with me.” He stated with a smug look on his face.

“I wasn’t planning on dating anyone after you. You’re too cute.”

You two sat in silence for a little bit...

“It’s the dick, isn’t it?”

“Yep.”

You two broke out into a fit of laughter which caused Erik to swerve a little bit. Man... you wouldn’t trade him for the world...

You two arrived at your friend Avery’s hair salon and sat in the car for a little bit. Erik was on Instagram while you were on Snapchat, taking random pictures.

“Oh, so that’s what we’re doing now?”You turned your body towards Erik and he looked pissed. Only this time, you can truly say that you didn’t do anything.

“What?”

“You taking pictures without me, baby. I thought we were a team.” He started to fake pout and do puppy eyes towards you.

You laughed and opened the door. You got out of the car and turned around to be met with Erik looking at you like he was very shocked offended at something you just did. You then realized what happened:

You opened the car door.

Erik loves to be a gentleman to you and NEVER (emphasis on the never) let’s you open a car door when you’re with him by all means. Oh shit- “What??” You chuckled.

“Mama, when have you EVER opened a car door since you’ve been with me?” He crossed his arms and sat back into his seat.

“Uhm... never...?” You tucked your phone into your back pocket.

“So... what makes it... okay to do that now...?”

Oh my god...

“I don’t know...” You started to move your feet a little bit.

“What did I tell you about that ‘I don’t know’ stuff, Ma?”

You decided not to say anything and just stand there. You knew you weren’t in trouble, Erik just loves to make you feel like royalty.

He chuckled. “Get back in the car, lil mama.”

“Eri-“

“Y/N.” He gave you a stern dad look. God, if looks could kill... you would be dead by now.

You sat back down in the car and closed the door. He triumphantly smiled, knowing that he ‘won’, and got out of the car. He grabbed the garment bags, slung them over his shoulder, closed the car door, and went to your side. Erik starred at you for a couple of seconds and opened your car door, laughing.

You got out of the car and looked at Erik while he closed the door.

“Nigga, you do too much.” You said as you both started walking to the salon. Erik turned around and started walking backwards, locking eyes with you.

“Would you rather me do too much or do too little?” You started to speak until he cut you off.

“Exactly.” He pointed at you, turned back around, and jogs to the door. You playfully rolled your eye and start jogging a little bit to get to the door faster.

Once you two got into the salon, you were greeted by two arms wrapping around you, and a sweet scent of strawberries.

“Oh my god! Hey, Y/N!!” You wrapped your arms around Avery and gently squeezed her. Avery’s hair always smelled like strawberries. Even when you two were kids, her hair smelled like strawberries.

“Avery! Hi!” You two released from the hug.

“Oh! Killa, you can just set the garment bags down over there.” She pointed to a clothing rack on the other side of the wall. Erik huffed and slowly started making his way to the rack.

“So,” Avery brought all of her attention towards you. “The Grammys!”

You nodded and forced a smile on your lips, hoping that she wouldn’t notice. But being the instigator she is.. She noticed it.

“You...” She brought her voice down a little bit so Erik wouldn’t hear her. “You don’t wanna go..? Is he making you go against your will? Blink three times if he-”

“Avery!” You cut her off. She immediately stopped and looked at you.

“I want to go, I really do. I’m just nervous, that’s all.”

“Why don’t you talk to Erik about that?”

“I don’t want him to worry about me.”

“Y/N.... That’s his job! To worry about you!”

You rolled your eyes and sat down at an hair station.

“Can we just get this done and over with?”

Avery laughed and got to work.

“Baby, just come out!”

“Hold on, Daka! I gotta make sure that my dress is right!”

“Baby, you look perfect. Come on!”

Erik was already dressed and ready to go to the Grammys. You on the other hand.. was nervous as hell.

“Baby.. please, you look amazing!”

You took a deep breath and walked out of the dressing room. Erik looked you up and down before whispering a ‘wow’. He walked up to you and rested his hands on your waist.

“You look... beautiful.” Erik spun you around and faced you towards a long mirror that was hanging on the opposite side of the wall. You both had on corresponding outfits , that Erik picked out, and you two rocked flawlessly.

“Alright guys!” Avery stomped out of another room with pieces of jewelry in her hands. “I hope you guys are- whoa!”

Her eyes became wide as she saw the outfits.

“You two look like a Disney prince and princess!” You rolled your eyes.

“So, i’m guessing i’m Prince Naveen and this beautiful girl right here is Princess Tiana?” Erik said with a smirk.

“Oh hell no.” You said while giggling.

Avery picked up the jewelry and walked over to you two. She started putting on the pieces of jewelry on you first. When she was done, she went straight to put the jewelry on Erik, giving you some time to look at yourself.

You looked into a nearby vanity and admired yourself. You actually looked like a full-on princess (you have a tiara on- and yes, it was erik’s wish.). Your everything was done. You hair, makeup, nails, ect.

Erik walked behind you, with his earrings, chains, and rings on, and wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head on your shoulder.

“Whatchu thinking about, princess?”

You overlapped you’re arms around his and sighed.

“Well, first of all, i’m thinking about how your big ass head is finna smear my makeup!”

He lifted his head from your shoulder and rested his head on top of your head.

“Is that better?”

“No, you have a heavy ass head.”

“That’s not what you said when i was eating you o-“

“OKAY!”

You quickly leaped out of his arms and walked away from him, laughing in the process.

“You didn’t need to expose me like that, y’know.” You sat down in chair while Erik followed you.

“It’s just me and you here, Ma.”

“Yeah, in this room. What if Avery heard it?”

“Then she’ll know that I gave you some bomb-ass head a couple-“

“Nigga!”

“Okay okay!” He put his hands up, like he was surrendering.

“But,” He grabbed your hand and pulled you up to your feet. “You look so damn amazing, baby.”

You looked him up and down. “I guess you look good.”

“Guess? Baby, i’m a five-star meal. Ain’t no guessing over here.”

You both laughed while Avery walked over.

“Well, my work here is done! You two want any pictures while you’re here?”

Erik pulled his phone out of his back pocket and handed it to Avery.

“As good as Y/N is over here looking? Hell yes.”

You two took lots of pictures. Goofy ones, Serious ones, non planned ones, you name it. After you were done, you said your goodbyes and went on to go to the Grammys!

The End of the World: Part 1

A/N: Okay I am an awful human being because this was requested back in October by @thickemadame. This will be a multiple one shot inspired by the Will Smith film, I Am Legend and with the virus going around. This is not to scare anyone. We will make through this by any means necessary. The infected have raided homes to find and kill the only man who could have saved us named Bruno Tylers.” You covered your mouth to cover the cries and screamed into your hands.

The reporter continued as you watched. “He was the only one who had a remedy that so happen can save us all. But no one has found it yet. According to his deceased team that passed this morning, the remedy is somewhere hidden but the only thing we knows is that it ‘is close to the heart’. We will report more later on at two, stay safe world.” The TV shut off when you thought of Bruno’s words. You then saw a white envelope in the mail basket, you opened and noticed Bruno’s handwriting.

“My love, I am soon to be with my mother and father. They have come for me and I can stop that. I know you have the ability to stop them but there seems to be a ton of them. So, I have locked the bedroom door from the inside. But before I did, I packed you with four bags for your travels a long with the keys to the Ford Truck. I want you to go to this address and follow this exact formula to make enough to heal the sick but there is not much time. Also, there is a shot for you to take to protect yourself. There is enough for a month and each shot lasts every month as well. Remember, the formula is close to your heart. I love you and please stay safe…for both of us.

You folded the paper and placed it into your pocket. You thought of what he said and noticed that the only thing that stayed close to your heart was... “My necklace.” You caressed as you ran to the bedroom, locking the door behind you and grabbed your backpack, placing it on your back, throwing your messenger bag across your chest and grabbing your duffel bag before reaching for your gun under the bed.

Then, you heard it. A pair of footsteps at the bedroom door. You stood straight with gun in hand, taking four deep breaths. You thought quick and shot at the window to jump out to the fire escape. It seemed like each floor you hit, another infected creature reached for you but you dodged them all. You jumped onto your truck and threw your stuff in the back seat. You started the car but struggled to get it up and running. All of a sudden, you saw a figure in the distance, then it became a few then hundreds. The infected ran to your truck but you floored it, backwards. You took to the freeway and made your long journey to the secluded location. As you looked around you saw a few wounded survivors and thought that you were the only one who can save them all.

You made it to deep downtown as you went to the lab and used his badge that was with the letter; this was your new home. It was secluded, on lock down mode and safe; there was no way that anyone or anything can get through. There was a cot with sheets folded for emergency and a clean bathroom. You sat at the counter wiping your face and heard a thump noise. You grabbed your gun and pointed it the direction you heard the noise in. You took careful steps to the area and heard a toilet flush. When the door open, hands went in the air. “Whoa, whoa. Put that down”, he said in his raspy voice. “Who are you”, you asked him and he slowly approached you. “I am one of the Wakandian providers. You know, the ones that gives y’all money and sends our scientists here.” You lowered your gun and noticed his appearance. You two met on several occasions but never really talked much. It was Erik Stevens himself. He wore a navy blue long sleeve tee with jeans and sneakers of course.

“Mr. Stevens, sorry. I didn’t recognize you in casual attire.”

“Yeah, I decided to drop to check on my students but I just found their bloody lab coats.” You put your gun down and nodded with him. “Yeah, it’s a blood bath out here. How is it in Wakanda?”

“Well, since half our population was wiped out along with most of my family so did our scientists. No one knows a cure for any of this. I mean, we tried everything but just failed miserably. Rumor has it, that the formula is somewhere here. But I didn’t find anything. Shuri was here to help but-.” He looked towards her lab coat on the floor and you followed his sad eyes. The young woman was massacred only trace if her was her blood and beads. You looked to him and said “I am so sorry, Mr. Stevens. I actually have it. Bruno must have known this was coming and wanted to keep it safe months ago.” He looked at you, curious eyes at your face. “Where is it?” You pointed to your necklace and he smiled. “Y/N, this is great. Do you know what this means? We can save the world from being ran over by them ugly ass things out there.” You laughed a little and said “well, he also gave me the formula but I can’t do this shit. Can you?”

“Yeah, I can. We can save the world, Y/N… together.”
