As 3s want recognition, 2w3s will work hard for recognition and praise. Can be more social and open, longs for approval from others. Wants to be seen as appealing and attractive to others. Wants to be successful career and relationships wise.

Disintegration: 8

Disintegration to 8 makes a 2 defensive and upset. They may feel rejected and hurt by others. They are deluded with the lie that they're not the problem - they're doing good and the best for everyone and blame others for their hurt feelings (even though it's likely their own fault). Can be more repressive

Integration: 4

Integration to 4 allows 2 to become more compassionate and accepting of themselves. They learn it's ok to prioritize themselves instead of fearing looking selfish. They become comfortable with all parts of themselves, all the good and ugly and understand they're still lovable even though they're not perfect.

Subtypes of 2

- Sp 2 -

Playful and charming, can have a childish energy to them. Wants to be close to others but they can also be quite guarded. They're "cute" in a way, can make others feel protective of them. They want to be cared for yet they do not want to be dependent on others.

- Sx 2 -

Uses their talents and skills to be attractive to others and to build strong, meaningful relationships. Once they trust deeply, they become more open and assertive about their own needs. Very passionate subtype.

- So 2 -

The most caretaking 2; responsible and ambitious. Image means a lot to them. Wants to be around the right company. Wants to stand out in a group so they often opt for leadership or some other major role. Strives to be successful and influential.

do you have any resources/reads for how childhood forms the types?

The very basic info is in Beatrice Chestnut’s ‘The Complete Enneagram’. She describes it in general (across the whole core) under the title ‘The Early Coping Strategy’ and also discusses certain details within the subtypes. This is a commonly read book however, so I wouldn't be surprised if you have already read it, in which case I would recommend you to read the individual enneagram books by Claudio Naranjo. These books can go further in depth on their points in general, considering they are focused on the individual cores, and this includes childhood. I do admit that my reading on the childhood aspect is limited in comparison to other aspects due to the fact that I take it with a grain of salt. Enneagram, including its subtypes, arent monoliths. Experiences can vary, but outcomes can be the same. A person fitting every other aspect of a type except for their childhood isn’t a reason for them to not be said type.

Reading my descriptions of 8, they sound a lot like how people describe 7… the stuff about being impulsive and seeking experience > deep thoughts and needing to get in touch with your inner curiosity. which makes me wonder if I’m a mistyped 7. But then I go back to the fundamentals of what 7 is — loss of Holy Plan, and all the 7s in my life who embody this as their core fixation by constantly living out 10000 half-baked plans — and I’m like… nah. I relate heaps to 7 as any 8 will (plus my fix is 6w7), but there are strong differences between me and 7 cores. Mainly… they are hyperactive and struggle to stop moving. I’m hypoactive and depressive, even though I have an active mind and I will be determined af when I make my mind up. The 7 cores go wide, and I go deep. They have 483838 games in their steam library and are constantly seeking to try new media. I obsess over the same six games and struggle to detach from my attachments to these same six games to try new games. The 7s are just faster and shallower than me. They resist 5, I disintegrate to 5 and I have a bunch of 5 stuff constantly occurring in my life, such as aforementioned minimalism and over attachment to the little I let myself have. With being so hypoactive I would sooner be a 9 core than a 7 core. But all 8s I’ve met even crazy jail going 8w7 murderer gang lord 8s have this slowness and heaviness to them which distinguishes them from 7s.

7 and 8 are supposed to be similar and difficult to distinguish. Even 7w6s and 8w9s. The same way that it’s impossible for someone who isn’t well versed in ennea and isnt one of these types themselves, to tell 4s / 5s and 1s / 2s apart, it should not be straightforward to tell 7s and 8s apart. 8 is not always obvious. 8 is not the obnoxious boss screaming in your face archetype. That’s Superego and Competency types (with the exception of 5). I stand by my conviction that 8 was ruined by all these obnoxious Te 1s and 3s and 5-fixed 8s who injected all their Te competency shit into 8. 8s can behave domineering and control our space (we often do without even realizing) but all this stuff about us knowing who we are and where we’re going in life is crock. 8s are almost equally as chaotic and lacking in foresight and true introspective ability as 7s are. including 8w9s. 8w9s have an illusion of stability and groundedness and normalness (7-8 liners truly have none), we often tap into the 9-ish ritualism behavior instead of constantly pushing forward with new endeavors and imposing ourselves onto the world like our double assertive siblings. We fall prey to addictions a lot. Anyways dig beneath the surface and you’ll quickly see the retarded impulsive behavior and lack of direction in life and all over the placeness in any 8w9. It’s almost always written off by dumbogram people and Te people who think they’re 8s as something else. Becuz they made 8 into a type that’s all about *marina voice* I know exactly what I want and who I wanna be… but this isn’t 8. It never was.

as a typology enjoyer there is nothing more painful than a show that ended prematurely as well as shorter seasons (so tighter plot with less time for filler) with interesting characters but ofc given the runtime they just don’t have the time to drop extensive character study episodes that I could then use to discern their motivations, true desires, how they think, etc etc just like stuff u need for typing (esp ennea). like I just don’t have enough content to work with/say for sure.

this is about the imperfects btw

ALTHOUGH it was much easier to type these guys than designated survivor which is so plot driven s1-2 it’s crazy and only until the 10 ep Netflix run s3 did we get some more detailed character tidbits (character drama.)

your tritype definitely contains 6w7. straight off the bat, the first answer you provide tells me a lot about your relationships with others. you value having a sense of security, and especially don't like being abandoned by others.

on a lesser related note, it seems very reminiscent of an enneagram 9 or 3 (which i'm not entirely surprised about, as 3-6-9 is a common triad + integration/disintegration path). the idea of abandonment combined with an attachment to "liking" or "humoring" those around you scream of enneagram 3 and 9, either in your triad or simply further supporting your 6 core.

you then go onto talk about desiring "more" in life, and having "nicer" experiences, which is why i gave you a 7 wing over 5.

the next answer you provide has a more positive outlook on the world, meaning there is a part of your tritype that relies in the harmonic triad (2-7-9).

imo this sense of optimism is still a 6w7. you explain that change is good, but uncertainty is not, which suggests that there is still an aspect where you struggle with the future. after all, the Duran/Catalan fixation for enneagram 6 is "certainty." it's also a common misconception that 6's are entirely scaredy cats, but more often than not when they take action "they can seem quite confident."

At the same time, 7's prefer "actively avoiding negativity," and 6's are still prone to denying fear. As Naranjo puts it in Character and Neurosis, "The counter-phobic denial of fear is no different in essence from the covering up of anger through excessive gentleness and control, the covering up of selfishness through excessive yielding, and other forms of compensation manifested throughout the range of characters, particularly in some of the sub-ennea-types."

this optimism/comfort may even suggest integration into enneagram 9 (again, part of the harmonic triad).

another minor reason why your wing was 7 instead of 5 is how you rationalized your emotions, particularly within the last answer. your descriptions of shame being something "we learn to feel" and relating it back to the world seem very true to the way an enneagram 7 would try to reason the emotion.

you like "researching things that sounds off or brings me fear."🧍need i say more?

MBTI: ISFP

you explain that your life is "deeply and depressingly based in sensory culture" and dreams are often unattainable in society. however, it seems like you are more disappointed in the value/impact it holds rather than sensory culture itself.

when people see objects, you want them to see meaning behind them. in this case, it's not necessarily ne/ni, as you USE these sensory experiences (se) to express your own meaning (fi).

for example, your last answer on experiencing emotions rang loud of fi-se, with the almost "poetic" descriptions. connecting these real world experiences to your own emotions seems very, very much isfp (fi-se).

ATEEZ Wooyoung Enneagram

- E2, sx/so 2w3, 278 -

An in depth analysis of an idol's enneagram. Based on my opinion and observations. Not an expert. May change later.

Core (main type): 2

Basic motive: To be loved

Basic fear: Being unworthy of love

Wooyoung has always desired love and admiration from others. He has lots of love and care in his heart and not afraid to express his affections for others. 2s want love and want to give love, so many of them are drawn to people.

He highly values relationships, especially since he used to feel lonely when he was younger. Since then, he seems motivated to create connections with others - Wooyoung simply wants love and to give love, just like an ennea 2.

Wooyoung seems especially touched when fans tell him the deep impact his and the group's work have on them - how he and ATEEZ help change a fan's life for the better. A 2 wants to be able to help others, to make a positive impact on people and the world. Wooyoung has made it his goal to be the light in other's life. It is the reason why he chose a candle to represent himself in "Fill in the Blanks" episode. (If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. It is the best proof of his core 2)

Some things from the ep that stood out to me about his ennea 2 core:

"The very first thing that comes to mind when I think of Wooyoung is 'The heart that thinks of those who are precious to him before himself so I think he suits the forget-me-not flower, which means 'true love'." - Seonghwa

Wing: 2w3

Wings act as a complement to the core.

With a 3 wing, it adds a need for achievement and success. Wooyoung is definitely goal oriented, accomplishments make him feel worthy of love and praise. He wants to be the best at what he does, which is why he tries so hard to improve in his passions. It's why he tries so hard to improve in his performance and wanting to be the best at his cooking - he has a whole series dedicated to cooking where he pushes himself to learn different techniques for cooking and cutting. He also expanded his menu to be able to cook more different types of food.

As both 2 and 3 are from the same triad, Wooyoung is very image oriented. The best example is one of his recent lives where he was talking about "needing" to lose weight in order to better conform to the ideal idol image. Having a 3 wing gives him a bit of perfectionism, along with very high expectations. He wants to fulfill these expectations in order to gain the love he wants. Although Wooyoung is already quite amazing as is, being a 2w3 may make him feel he still has to look and be a certain way in order to be loved and successful. One of the major things an image/heart type struggles with is never feeling good enough.

Subtype: sx/so

Subtypes show our drive in life.

Sx (sexual/one-on-one): intensity, deep connection

So (social): Group connections, community

Sx 2: Sx 2s want to get to know a person deeply, to know their life story and their soul. This seems to fit Wooyoung best since he said he wants to know the real version of people. He doesn't judge right away - he wants to genuinely take his time to truly understand someone. He wants to be wanted by others.

So 2: Being his 2nd dominant subtype, Wooyoung still values group connections. He's outgoing and friendly and puts effort into creating a nice environment. He wants to do things for others - has said he enjoys cooking and feeding others. Especially when they react positively, it gives him a sense of accomplishment and motivation to get better in order to keep people happy.

Tritype: 278

Tritype is formed up one's dominant type from each center of intelligence (heart, head, gut)

- Head center type: 7 -

Head center focuses on dealing with fear and anxiety.

I think Wooyoung deals with such issues in a 7 way - he's silly and goofy, obviously a fun and overall positive guy, as most 7s are. Even Hongjoong said Wooyoung is good at creating a comfortable atmosphere - they probably would not be as close if it weren't for Wooyoung's ability to make things fun. Whenever things were tense or awkward, Wooyoung would go out of his way to relieve such tension.

- Gut center type: 8 -

Gut center is about reaction, control, and anger.

8's are the most comfortable and open about their anger - they do not repress and are not ashamed. Wooyoung seems to have no difficulty in expressing his disappointments and anger with people. He's quite straightforward and blunt, a bit unfiltered at times. He's also fiercely protective over those he cares about, e.g saying he would bite whoever hurt Seonghwa when some "fans" were being rude to him. He also did a biting motion with his arms as a way to call out the person who had plagiarized their Say My Name dance move. An 8 would definitely be bold enough to do such a thing.

what are some things that make you go “yeah that’s definitely a [insert ennea type here]” for each type?

This is kind of a bad answer, because I don't have any specific traits that I've witnessed from every type. Funnily enough, as enneagram is a very personal and introspective system, the best way to type people you're not close to, is to observe how they interact with others. This ranges from their speech patterns to their surface level actions to their implications. There are a few tiny specific traits in my friends, for example, that I relate to their typology, but it's always something I can only relate to their type after I've already properly typed them. I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that, while they can be related, there aren’t any singular traits that set a person's type in stone. It's more like a spider web of traits that come together in the centre, and that centre is the point in which you’re able to type this person.

The Treebury Calendar

Treebury uses a lunisolar calendar - this means that it is based on the cycle of the moon, but is different from a pure lunar calendar as it changes slightly (will get into this later)

Months

Treeburys calendar has 12 months in every year, but every 2/3 years there is an extra 13th, or leap month added (more detail in years section)

Months alternate between light months of 30 days, and dark months of 29 days, with every year always beginning with a light month

This cycle of months is referred to as an Ennea (pl. Enneae) and is the main form of refering to long periods of time

For instance, as most people in treebury live very long lives due to their elf blood: they would say I am 4 Enneae and 7 years (etc. etc. this is an example)

Weeks

Every month consists of 4 weeks of seven days each, and as each month is longer than 28 days, the last one/two days of the months are a holiday (more explanation later)

Every week begins on a Monday, and every month therefore also begins on a Monday see

(Holi)Days

Monday thru Friday are all working days, with Saturday being preparation market or a free day, and Sunday being the market from 10am - 3pm (if you sell at market, otherwise it is whenever and how long) followed by a free day.

Work is mostly done in the mornings of the day, and the afternoons are for walks, spending time with friends and other hobbies. Friday evenings are a celebration of the past week, and dinner that night is a communal event shared with friends (anywhere from one friend to like half the town)

The 1/2 spare days at the end of the month are also a time of celebration, and the treebers love to change the flowers around their house at this time, listen to music in the town square and collaborate on a new town welcome sign as well as other decorations.

At the end of each year in either the last day of Rhagfyr or the last day of the 13th month, there is an end of year celebration! This celebration contains all end of the month traditions as well as several others! There is a firefly show in the sky (please note that this is very similar to fireworks but without the noise and due to the nature of the show no fireflies are harmed and therefore do not plague me with the ethics of the firefly show) as well as a large feast with a special apple pie recipe and present giving and dancing in the town square.

At the end of every Ennea there is a week long celebration of dancing and music, with loads of food and present giving, and the town decorated specially for the occasion! The town is lovely and bustling, and there are loads of craft stalls and food stalls etc. around for the people of treebury to enjoy! At the end of the week there is a massive firefly celebration and different family traditions, with several people opting to have hot chocolate with friends.

E3 - Tiffany, Venus, Nadia, Renee,

E4 - Lillian (no surprise)

E5 - Nikki, Celeste, Zoey

E6 - Kyanna,

E7 - Audrey, Jessie, Abia, Ashley, Brooke, Sarah,

E8 - Nora, Moxie, Jewn

E9 - Aiko, Beli, Lailani

Some of these I’m not sure of like Tiffany, Celeste (because she honestly barely has a personality), Venus (same reason as Celeste. Also the fact she’s a goddess is probably relevant) Kyu (Torn between 2 and 7.) Polly (could be E3) and any of the HunieCam girls.

Not sure about any subtypes.
