English is about pronouncing a sound and having different sounds having the same writing (ex: the ‘ea’ in ‘weather’, ‘lead’, ‘heard’)
French is about pronouncing a sound and it having +1,000 ways to write it (ex:  [e] in ‘épée’, ‘lait’, ‘dessin’, ‘chez’, ‘manger’, ‘des’, ‘projet’, ‘est’ (and probably some others that dont come to my mind rn))

I think of you...
I'm always thinking about you but mostly whenever I see something which reminds me of you, my thoughts automatically leads back to you. There are many examples...
When I notice soft sunshine of morning it reminds me of your positive aura and I immediately think of you.
When I listen to songs they remind me of how you are everywhere around me even without being here and I think of you.

When I see pure white clouds floating beautifully on that blue surface it reminds me of your pure innocence and I think of you.
When I feel cool breeze brushing my hair it reminds me of your peaceful nature and how you calm down my chaotic thoughts with your words and I think of you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I see flowers, they remind me of how you colored my gray world with your colorful imagination and I think of you.
Whenever I see sunsets and changing hues of sky they remind me of your brown eyes how they become the most beautiful thing on earth under sunlight and I think of you.

Whenever I see stars shining through dark night it reminds me of your never giving up nature and I think of you.
Whenever I see moon it reminds me of you and your beauty and I think of you.

English making fun of German and our compounds as if they didn’t have some themselves at one point 🙃
Tumblr media
flyhaven -> Flughafen
farspeak -> Fernsprecher (says no one, please say “Telefon”)
farsee -> Fernseher
childwain -> Kinderwagen
soulore -> Seelenkunde (however, “Psychologie” is the term everyone uses)
earthlore -> Erdkunde (heavy connotation to the school subject and false friend bc this is “Geografie” or geography and not “Geologie”)

Hi there! I'm new in Tumblr and I love the English language. I've been learning these language for years but I think that I don't have a great level yet.
I would like to change that by writing about my progress and trying to write everyday here like a way to improve more. I want to try to do my best!

I wonder how many countries do "He loves me, loves me not" and if they have a different way to do it
For example in France we say:
1. Il m'aime un peu - he loves me a little
2. Beaucoup - ...a lot
3. Passionnément - ...passionately
4. A la folie - ...to madness
5. Pas du tout - ...not at all
