I haven't seen the newest season/magna yet, so I could be wrong, but I have a theory.

I think that Rei wasn't talking about Enji when she said that Shoto was looking more and more like him. She was talking about Touya. He was burning himself all the time trying to be someone Enji would love and his hair was changing colors.

The reason she threw water on Shoto was because she saw Touya burning.

How abt a crack au where after the cultural festival class 1a decide to all quit school and be a band full time, and they become so popular that most villains give up villaining to go to shows instead and to make sure 1a dont feel the need to switch back to being heroes

1- a quarter of the class has already committed vigilantism, Izuku just encountered two more and is musing on the meeting while riding the high of Jiro's song being able to do for Eri what several heroes couldn't, so a lot of the class is like "well it'll be fine, we can do music and help people on the side, technically until they cancel our provisional licenses or they expire in three years, it won't even be illegal."

2- Todoroki, who doesn't have his licence yet, weighs the pros and cons. He'd like to not have to go to any more remedial lessons where his dad shows up when when he's not supposed to. He asks Jiro about more ice and fire effects, and agrees to go. Tensei was in the family audience and tells Tenya he did an amazing job, which Tenya takes as permission and encouragement to go even though that's absolutely not what Tensei meant and he had no suspicion of the plan at the time. Uraraka looks at the streaming numbers and how much they can earn even with low priced tickets, and agrees. Etc etc etc

3- Bakugou only agrees because Kaminari needled him about being too good to. Unlike Todoroki, he does still attend remedial classes and sends in his normal assignments to UA, somehow while in the band full time, and in the group constantly on the run from Nedzu and various others trying to hunt them down.

4- crime rates plummet to pre-Kamino levels due to villains realizing if the kids stop the band, they're all screwed. The fact that several different villains go to a show and somehow aren't seen again doesn't really get out though to warn anyone off, probably because nobody cared about the Chimera and Mummy, and because when Tomura sent Dabi to find out where Twice and Toga had vanished to, he didn't bother to look.

5- Most of the vestiges are unhappy with this decision to join a band, Second and Third loudly complaining about the immaturity, Yoichi quietly confused and disappointed, Hikage nursing a permanent headache, but Banjo is thrilled, En doesn't say anything either way but wanted to be in a band himself when he was alive, and Nana's just glad Izuku's having fun and helping people smile. For his part, Toshinori is having a blast and is amazed at how Izuku is getting stronger with his quirk even focused as he is at using it for shows and dancing. AfO is a distant threat but one he knows Izuku can handle if he ever breaks out of prison, and in the meantime he needs to make sure all his former students are eating enough to keep up their strength. Twisted Endeavor AU WIP:

Enji trying use of age regression to heal both Shouto's past trauma but also make him weak and under his control though this time in a softer way. He wants to take him away from hero work for good and keep him at home as his little baby, caring for him in a way he missed out on the first time around.

They were given a mandatory semester off to take in the aftereffects of the war. During this time his father had been very accommodating, a little too accommodating if you asked Shouto. Anytime he wanted or needed anything his father was right there one step ahead. Whether it be feeding Shouto, helping him walk to the bathroom, carefully bathing him when he was too weak to do it himself, helping him with his physical therapy or simply fluffing his pillows. He had allowed it, thinking maybe he was overcompensating for the past, Shouto did say he would give him a chance so he sat back and allowed himself to be pampered. Big mistake.

“Stop this! Stop pretending that I’m a child! Stop trying to coddle me!“

“You can’t take away the life I've built just because you want a do over. No, I refuse to accept this. I don’t care if I have to fight you, I'm leaving!”

His dad doesn't punish him, at least not with large pummeling fists or harsh screaming. No he just gives him a little white pill and covers his mouth until he swallows, he does, he doesn't fight it anymore. He used to but the man would just crush the medication into fine powder slipping it in his food and drinks throughout the day anyway. The pill weakens his muscles and fuzzies his mind, the man rocks him back and forth pacing the room whispering sweet words of affection until he deems him calm again. He is not calm but he's too tired to fight. At least Daddy’s not angry with us, his fuzzy mind supplies.

Soon his mind was starting to turn fuzzy on its own, no medication required. It scared Shouto. Sometimes he could feel himself slipping away. He would catch himself being sucked into the childish cartoons on the television or found himself smiling while playing with the soft foam blocks his father bought for him. He hates it but sometimes when his father leaves, whether to use the bathroom or make dinner, he finds himself tearing up wishing for daddy to come back, missing the man despite him being just down the hall.

It refers back to the scene where Shouto doesn’t actually join his friends, but rather waits for Endeavor and tells him (again) that they’ll face Touya together.

Which tracks with his whole battle. Shouto is separated from the rest of the class for now. And until Endeavor faces Touya, I think Shouto won’t be able to join them. Which is implied in Endeavor’s vision:

Which still makes me think that in the end Endeavor will choose to stay behind with Touya (maybe holding the line somewhere, or maybe simply staying with him if he’s injured) and will let Shouto to join his class for the end.

Summary: The brighter the light, the darker the shadows. And in a super-powered society, those shadows are dark indeed. But whilst the world desperately trained more and more heroes, making that light brighter and brighter, the prestigious hero school, UA, had another idea. Why not tackle the problem at its source?

And so was born the infamous class 1-A. Would-be criminals from all over the country were selected, and a group of twenty now roam the halls of the school, alongside the heroes of the next generation.

Last year, the entirety of Mr Aizawa’s class A graduated. But this year was different. No, he didn’t believe they would all graduate back into society like the classes before them. He believed they could become something bigger. That was why, with gritted teeth and a manic smile, Eraser Head turned to his new class of students and said:

"You aren't villains - you never were, and you never will be. But you can take that fire inside of you and put it to good use. We're in a hero school, aren't we? Well then...

"Let's be heroes."

Review: The concept of a Villain / Reformation Class 1-A is an amazing one.

I started out as confused as Midoriya about what he could've done to get placed there. Even when you're finally told the whole story, you can't really say he deserved the placement - even if everything worked out in the end.

The best part of this story is the backstories created for all the 1A kids. They were all in character, and their reasons for being labeled 'villainous' resonated as something their canon versions would've actually done.

Whether it be Iida going after Stain (which, of course, he actually DID do), Jiro overhearing a secret she shouldn't have, Uraraka becoming a thief to support her struggling family, or Todoroki becoming a young villain assisted by, and alongside, Dabi (who he's aware is Touya) as rebellion against Endeavor's abuse.

The stories go on and on.

Midoriya has a lot of the traits in this fic that other Villain AU versions of himself have. What's craziest about that is that he doesn't actually START to consider villainy as an option until he's wrongly labeled as one.

I'd say most of these kids are wrongly labeled as villains, though. And I think it's stupid to give kids that label so easily for simple things such as a dangerous hard to control quirk, a previous vigilante career, or knowing things or believing things hero society thinks they shouldn’t.

All their attempts to change their fate, or the way they’re perceived, are ingenious. I'll definitely be looking for more fanfictions with this premise.
