so mjf has the like. Daddy Cycle. where he finds an older man to cozy up to, gets himself in their good graces long enough to further his career, and then fights them. With each iteration, his new Older Mentor Figure gets more and more aware of how terrible he is: cody was oblivious, jericho thought he was controllable, punk saw through him from the start and tried to make him better, and now....

Regal. Who goes into this knowing exactly who MJF is, with the express purpose of making MJF worse. And MJF, who was prepared to actually become better in order to win Regal's approval, is now instead going to have someone who is actively giving him attention, not in spite of, but because of his worst tendencies. Which makes me wonder! if this is going to be the cycle where, instead of turning on his mentor, MJF has a mentor turn on him.

Sweeping the Batman's issues under a rug

Okay in The Batman (2022) one of the biggest criticisms to come out of the movie was the sheer coincidence and luck of having Martinez randomly strike up the conversation that led Batman to taking a peek under the rug.

Here's my version that totally fixes that and puts the world's greatest detective back on track:

During the first police search of Edward Nashton aka The Riddler's flat, Martinez trips over the carpet removal tool and says, "Hey my cousin has one of these, because he works with carpets". Obviously the script would be written by someone whose not a moron but you get it.

Since Gordon and Batman are super engrossed in their evidence gathering, and the obvious shrine to Bruce Wayne, they ignore Martinez for the moment.

However, in Bruce's second exploration of the flat, he suddenly remembered what Det. Martinez said, and bada bing bada boom.
