Hello! I’m here for an Encanto matchup please! Thank you so much for doing this by the way!
First things first, I’m an adult so I can’t be shipped with any minors, so no Camilo or Mirabel please. I’m also bisexual, so I don’t mind whether you ship me with a man or a woman. And by the way, I also have autism and stim by pacing if that means anything.
Physically I’m a really short adult, I’m only like 5’ tall (152 cm) because I have multiple disabilities, one of which stunted my growth. I have chronic pain basically everywhere but especially in my joints like my hands, hips, back and knees. Just today I’m wearing arthritis gloves, knee braces, compression socks and a scoliosis brace so I kinda look ready to be hospitalized lol. I also faint a lot because of blood pressure issues, and I have asthma and weak bones too. Medically I’m kind of a mess. Anyways, I also have really long wavy (and fluffy) brown hair, glasses and pale skin with lots of moles and freckles. I’m surprisingly muscular but still really slim. My style also switches between masculine and feminine a lot, and I even tend to combine the two. Today I’m wearing a long ankle-length skirt and also a biker’s cut denim jacket on top with a black t-shirt.
I have a bunch of little nervous habits like knocking on wood to prevent jinxes (like Bruno!), biting my lip when I’m nervous, pacing and flapping my hands, making little noises and humming to myself (kinda like Dolores). I’m also learning Greek and Spanish as second languages! I talk with my hands a lot, and I tell crazy stories from my life. I can imagine Mirabel complaining about Isabela and then I’m just like “My siblings used to put me in a trash can and roll me down the stairs” lol. I would also definitely gift Dolores some headphones because I can get pretty loud without really noticing.
I work as a librarian currently, but I’m also learning screenwriting in hopes of actually working at Pixar someday! I write a ton, I have a journal that I’ve kept going for years now, and I’ve picked up a lot of different crafts like sewing and leatherworking.
I’m very polite and extremely friendly, including being really bubbly and excitable. I feel like, maybe aside from the denim jacket, I might be the kind of person even Abuela would like lmao. I shake people’s hands when greeting them and am generally very polite and a little nervous. But it’s easy for me to make people laugh because I have a witty and sarcastic sense of humor, especially combined with my weird life stories. I’m really soft and surprisingly good at giving advice, I’ve often been called “wise beyond my years”. Unfortunately I can be really stubborn and am not quick to forgive, but that’s something I’m trying to work on. I also have a habit of always trying to stay busy and I don’t really know what self care is sometimes, oops.

Even before you two started to date, you would always keep the sun shining and bright when you were around her! Your loudness and energy while talking would match her's, and she would always help massage the areas that were hurting you.
She would talk to you and do fun activities with you while you're nervous to distract you, and would be your No. 1 supporter. She would always stand slightly behind you and would be quick to catch and care for you if you fainted.
She would definitely understand you not being quick to forgive, but would know just how to handle your stubborn moments. She would also help you learn Spanish by having conversations with you in the language to help you become more fluent, and would try to learn Greek with you, the skies becoming more cloudy as she gets frustrated.
She would love your style, and would always adore when you talk with your hand, and would even pick up some of your gestures from being around you and thinking of you so much. Overall, she would absolutely love you!

Hello!, I hope your day/night is going well <3, I saw that you do matchups for encanto and I was hoping to receive one!, Ofc I completely understand if you never get to this but if I do something wrong and you still want to do it feel free to message me and I will correct whatever I did wrong in requesting! // I did read the regulations but I don't trust myself not to make a mistake xD // anyways info below!
To start off there's no character that I'm not fine with that's around my age of course!
I am a 16 year old, infp, Leo, who uses she they pronouns and identifies as a demigirl/omni romantic and asexual, meaning for me at least that I only have interest in the romance aspect of relationships but can develop romantic feelings for anyone no matter orientation :) although I do more so lean towards feminine presenting individuals if I am being honest
Looks wise I have a bit of a pale complexion, many beauty marks, I wear glasses as I am blind without them XD, I am 5'4 and to describe my body type I would as being a bit on the pudgier/chubby side, my hair is naturally dark brown just like my eyes however I have dyed it a shade of pink excluding the Roots and it is quite messy most of the time and hard to brush out being long and frizzy hbjhbjv, now to describe my clothing style I would say that if I had a choice I would dress in pink all the time lmao, it's my favorite color ever and I love dresses and just anything frilly/light
Now when it comes to my personality I would describe myself as being a bit timid and more on the quiet side as I get really anxious when around new people, and or just being in places where I am not used to being, and it takes me awhile to open up to someone if I'm being honest although if they are kind and I am comfortable enough thenmn I start to then I tend to become a bit of a chatterbox pfft, but that's just the shyness aspect, when it comes to me being timid I mean I'm going to be honest I can be a bit cowardly at times when it comes to standing up for myself as I really like to avoid conflict if possible and often can be a bit of a doormat, I know that the world can be a very judgmental and hard place so I just try to bring some positivity into it whatever I can tbh, I know that sounds self righteous saying that but it's true I mean I just don't see the point in being mean to people if they haven't done anything to provoke it
Some extra traits about me is just I can be a huge clutch like I fall over air 💀, I can also be a tad bit absent-minded/oblivious as I tend to be in my own little world, and will sometimes have to be told something twice in order for it to get through, I also tend to apologize too much lmao, to the point where I think it's kind of annoying, I do also have a bit of a stutter which I really don't like Pfff
But lastly onto my hobbies/likes and dislikes! <3
To start off with what I enjoy doing activity wise I absolutely love anything fantasy, especially books and just getting lost in the fictional world and things like that, honestly I feel like if I was in the world of encanto their magic and abilities would just fascinate me but I would be much too shy to actually approach them lol, I also really enjoy quality time with people that I care about as the way that I show I care is doing things with them and just being around, oh-!-I should have said this before that but I also really like writing my own stories and sharing ideas with others about them it's so much fun to me!,
Likes and dislikes for me would probably include
Likes: nature, calm and quiet situations, alone time // I'm an introvert//, those who respect my boundaries, kind individuals!, The color pink, soft things, stories/legends
Dislikes: The dark, Bugs, hateful people, bully's/antagonistic people, loud areas, being over stimulated, my speach impediment, talking in front of others

Dog Breed Matchup: Encanto
In which I match each Madrigal, personality-wise, to a dog breed.
Most of these were hard, and I’m not entirely convinced on Antonio, Dolores, or Bruno. I mostly stuck with AKC register, as that’s what I’m used to.

Abuela: Anatolian shepherd. Not the flashiest breed, but they don’t need to be to command respect and dignity. Anatolian shepherds are serious dogs developed for guarding livestock. They are independent, watchful, and capable of guarding their herd through brutal temperatures. They should not be aggressive but are not a dog you’d choose to romp or play with, and are not recommended for novices. They are descended from one of the most ancient lineages of dogs, and they bring all that implies with them.
Julieta: English shepherd. English shepherds are calm, smart, solid country dogs that work reliably and efficiently. They’re polite but reserved around strangers, and quiet provided they can put their talents to use. If you let them do their job they’re content to curl up at the end of the day. Staying out of the spotlight has helped preserve this breed’s stellar health and temperament.
Agustín: Golden retriever. Goldens are the go-to image of a gentle, biddable, dorkily happy dog that gets along with everyone and everything. Goldens are excellent choices for service dogs and deserve their popularity and reputation, and they don’t mind being made the joke every now and then.
Isabela: Originally I went with Pharoah hound, but swapped to Irish setter. Irish setters are swift, graceful, elegant dogs that conjure images of aristocrats on the hunt, but they’re also very happy, rollicking things that are bold, sweet, outgoing, and energetic all at once. They take advantage of a good day outside, reportedly with an intensive, happy-go-lucky, devil-may-care hunting style. They can be stubborn and sensitive, but are more willing to please than the other setters.
Luisa: Greater Swiss Mountain dog. Big-boned, powerful, and dependable, they thrive not on hard exercise, but steady, vigorous work. Swissers are capable of immense physical labor as well as protection duties. They were especially famous for pulling carts. Swissers are great with family and usually friendly with strangers, but can be reserved around them. They’re vigilant and watchful after so many years of guarding the farm. Like many dogs of their size, they’re especially exuberant as puppies.
Mirabel: Soft-coated wheaten terrier. The name might surprise--wheatens are just about the gentlest, mellowest, most affectionate terriers ever added to the AKC. They’re bright, happy, adventurous, and one of the better terrier choices for considerate children. But they’re still terriers and occasionally they’ll make you remember that, usually through stubbornness. Wheatens are VERY family-oriented and are well rounded from taking on triple purposes as herding and livestock guardian dogs. This has made them beloved among their homeland; after all, what more valuable dog to a farm than a dog that can do multiple things?
Pepa: Originally I went with saluki, but swapped to Pharoah hound. Pharoah hounds are very much sighthounds: independent, notably sensitive, not concerned with pleasing you. They’re swift and elegant, being made to chase down prey over long distances, and Pharoahs particularly had to work in harsh and unforgiving climates. They make a terror out of any household that isn’t prepared to handle what they are. They won’t stand to be treated harshly and are easily stressed by turmoil. You can’t bargain with them or force them to follow your lead. But unlike many sighthounds, Pharoahs are rather inquisitive and like to be involved when they deem a situation is safe. They’re among the most vocal of the group, and can make quite the combo with someone who has a sense of humor.
Félix: Miniature bull terrier. High-energy, adaptable, lively, mischievous, entertaining, and playful have all been used to describe this larger-than-life breed. They love the spotlight but very much think for themselves, and they’re tough. Humor and activity are vital in living with these dogs.
Dolores: Whippet. Whippets are a delight to a fastidious home; they’re mannered, quiet, polite, and clean. When their heritage kicks in, they run and run. Whippets are the fastest dogs of their size, which comes with physical issues. They’re slight things that can’t partake in rambunctious, rough-and-tumble kind of play. What they need is a calm home, the privilege of comfy furniture, and the opportunity to prove how agile, tireless, and zany they are when they show off their gift. They can make good watchdogs too.
Camilo: Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen. They look like wire-coated basset hounds, but looks can deceive. Vendéens are lively, sociable, tough dogs that carry themselves proudly and are always looking for something to do. As pack hunters, they get along well with other dogs and people. Vendéens easily get up to their own ideas and need someone who knows when to appreciate their humor and when to be firm. Everything about them was shaped to navigate difficult terrain, especially their coats.
Antonio: Bernese Mountain dog. Gentle, calm, and peaceful with other animals, Bernese often bond very closely with one person in the family. Care should be taken early to make sure these dogs do not become shy or timid. A Bernese is smart and steady at its core and a reliable, loving family dog.
Bruno: Vizsla. Vizslas are thin dogs, almost wiry. As a sporting breed they were developed by high society. Vizslas are smart, affectionate, active, and friendly, all par for the course. But unlike a lot of sporting dogs, they don’t do everything you tell them to do, simply because you tell them to. They’re more likely to think for themselves. They’re still devoted to their owners, to the point where they can get...weird, if they’re separated too long. They’re called Velcro Vizslas for a reason!

Younger Siblings Tournament Bracket Reveal
A few things I want to mention before I reveal the bracket (and make the post really long because all the matchups will be listed in text):
Seeding of fictional characters in tumblr polls is inherently subjective. I did try to make it so that more popular characters/media would (most likely) face off against each other in later rounds, but I may be overestimating or underestimating the popularity of some characters/media, especially ones I'm not familiar with. There are some round 1 matchups that are probably a closer match but none of them are between the strongest candidates... I think.
The more niche characters will probably get obliterated in the first round as per Squimbus' Law. This is a tumblr poll and I do fully expect more popular characters to sweep, but that doesn't mean you can't encourage your friends to give your niche faves a fighting chance.
Also there are some matchups I literally just thought would be funny. Please don't take this too seriously.

She would be really interested about astronomy and physics, and would love you to teach her some. She would love watching you play basketball, and even though Abuela wouldn't be too fond of it, she would play with you from time to time.

She would get easily flustered when you would get romantic, would adore forehead and neck kisses, and would come to you for cuddles after a hard day, not letting you say no.
You would unlock a caring, special side of her, and would love to listen to you ramble, especially if it's something you're passionate about. She would even make and place little flowers in your hair and on your clothes while you do!
