I hate that I have to deal with things that aren’t my fault, and heal from the traumas that I’m not the cause.

Unless you’ve lived with it, you cannot know what it’s like to feel chronically empty and hollow.
It’s not like being bored or discontent, it’s a physical pain that you can try to fill with substances or fleeting obsessions or distractions but you can never make it fully go away.
It’s like living with a hole in your chest, a void that swallows any meaning or enjoyment from the things you do.
It leaves you not knowing who you are, what you enjoy or whether you’re even a person.
Feeling empty is an all-encompassing numbness which is hopeless and infuriating at the same time.
No matter how much you want to feel alive, you’re always being dragged back by the nothingness that lies at the heart of you.
