I Love Being A Girly Girl And Dressing Up For Myself, Not Other People
Being a girly girl is part of my personality. I know there are people who judge me for looking like I am trying too hard or trying to impress everyone, but that is just who I am and what I am comfortable in.
I enjoy wearing makeup every day, dressing up instead of wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and styling my hair instead of throwing it in a ponytail. I like to shop and look for new beauty trends. I rather look cute when going to class than wear sweats and a t-shirt.
I can shop for hours. I love shopping for new clothes, makeup, jewelry, or bags, you name it. When the seasons change, it is very exciting to start looking for a new wardrobe to fit the weather and sport the new seasonal trends that are going on.
The weather and where you live is what mainly determine the contents of your wardrobe. If you live somewhere hot, you are more likely to have a wardrobe of more summer type clothes. If you live somewhere cold, you will have more of a winter wardrobe. It all depends on personal preference on what type of clothes you like to wear. Personally, I prefer winter clothes such as sweaters and jackets. They are easier to layer, and you can add or take away from different outfits to make one outfit into a completely different one.
Makeup also feeds into my girly-girl image. I love to try new makeup looks, testing out different eyeshadow colors, textures and pallets. Trying new lipstick colors, from bold and dark to soft and light or loud and bright. I think I can speak for any makeup lover when I say that Ulta is a girly girls heaven. We can spend hours on end and hundreds of dollars looking through different types of makeup and different brands.
Hair also plays a major role in the girly girl world. With endless amounts of styles and tools to give you any look that you want. You can go from curly to straight, up or down or anywhere in between. There are styles that take a lot of effort if you are wanting to dress to impress. There are also hairstyles that take seconds for when you are feeling a little more on the lazy side. There is always something you can do with your hair.
Jewelry and accessories are also a girl's best friend. You can spice up any outfit and make it just a bit better by adding some earrings, a necklace, bracelets, and a bag to add to your outfits on a daily basis. They are simple additions that can make you look like you put more effort into your outfits than you actually did because in reality all you did was throw a bag over your shoulder and a necklace over your head.
Yes, I am a girly girl, and I love girly things and I would never change a thing.

Happy International Women’s Day to all of the gorgeous, inspiring, amazing women in my life and all around the world. My own relationship to womanhood has always been complicated, but I’ve embraced it a bit more lately, partly because I am doing a project about women and it is empowering to be a strong female role model for my peers, students and audiences. (My pronouns are still they/them, though!) I regret that my illness today kept me from celebrating Women’s Day with my castmates at @ovate_company but I am so excited to bring this show to life for all of you. What I ultimately hope for is that women around the world can adopt our show into a piece that reflects their personal experiences - it would be such a joy to see a LGBT theatre pick it up and highlight queer and trans women’s stories, or a Black-owned theatre company talking about their stories, and the list goes on and on. Happy Women’s Day, everyone! ❤️❤️❤️ #internationalwomensday #upliftwomen #empowerwomen #furyus #thefuryusproject https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpj1XS6OqAB/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Soul that lost to society
I cried and brawled with all my might to save her.
But what was the meaning of initial acceptance
When you planned to increase the oppression on me?
Your presumption of male fetus wasn't my fault,
it wasn't the fault of my princess either.
what wrong did she do to you without stepping into the world?
I was ready to break all the chains and fight for her.
But she shouldn't take birth in this tyrannical world.
She deserves more than living a life like her mother,
and I don't want any of my bruises to reach to her.
I've never felt safe here so I can't assure her safety.
Now I cry by holding my womb after killing my angel,
I was forced to support the society and to kill her.
what more can I do now? Other than telling the tale of the soul that lost to society?

“Women in their teens often look at their bodies and find mistakes.
women in their twenties look at their bodies and find things they want to change.
women in their thirties start realizing that they should have been happy with what they had in their twenties.
women in their forties start excepting who they are and how amazing their bodies are.
women in their fifties carry themselves with grace and inner peace
women in their sixties accept their bodies as they are”
Sometimes I wish I could have had the mind of a forty year old in my teens…..
