all workers' strikes are good. yes even if they're inconvenient. even if they're making your life harder. even if you don't get to watch your favourite tv show. workers fighting for their rights is ALWAYS a good thing

The Links all meeting each other is the perfect opportunity for something: The heroes unionizing against Hylia
Legend hasn’t gotten paid sick leave in 5 years, and even though Sky loves his boss (Hylia), he’s not going to stand for that 😤

An aspect of the astarion ascension discourse, that I am putting into a jar and studying, is many discoursers have that whole 'revenge is bad? What are you, christian???' be gay do crimes teehee attitude combined with a deep need to have things they like be morally justified, so are now recoding the world's most obvious metaphor for the cyclical nature of abuse as a be gay do crime boyboss taking back agency empowrring tale and are either ignoring the whole living sacrifice thing or saying 'well it would be dangerous having vampire spawn running around!' (and what about all the other sacrifices including children taken away from people very clearly inspired by the Romani whom their booboo is also racist towards btw?).
And it's such a losing battle cause you won't convince anyone your media reading is the one that's REALLY morally superior and pro victim and empowering and whatnot, you'll just be annoying af. If you can't handle enjoying fiction without having to whitewash your enjoyment of spicy and morally dubious fictional characters and events, maybe you should read/play/watch something else?

Federal public sector workers’ wages, adjusted for inflation, are no better than they were in 2007, a new report from the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives shows.
“The average federal public sector worker’s wages only buy the same today as they did in October 2007,” the CCPA report states. “No other industry—none—has seen average inflation adjusted wages pushed back as far as federal public sector workers.”
Over 100,000 federal public workers hit the picket lines across the country on Wednesday with a two-year expired contract and no wage offers that kept up with the rising cost of living.
Even if the union wins its current wage demands of 4.5% increases each year for three years, “those average federal worker wages would still be 4.8 per cent below the industrial average,” the report notes.

From teachers to health workers, more than 420,000 public sector employees are on strike today in Quebec. Primary and secondary school teachers will launch an unlimited general strike on Nov. 23 if the government don't settle with them.
It complicates my life a bit, especially with schools closed, but it is moving to see this wave of solidarity.

Strike the Set is available for purchase on Amazon!
From working together to keep an obsessive siren admirer at bay to meeting each other's family, Avicia Thorn and Kahdreg Vidaroc are coming to terms with their "fake dating" scheme is becoming something more.
Now slated to spend a weekend on a cruise, Avicia is ready to cave a little and have some fun with Kahdreg. However, Kallinaera Virlee, the aforementioned obsessive admirer, is proving to be an ocean of an obstacle.
Even if they clear that seafoam green hurdle, there's still two more to go: Kahdreg learning about Avicia's cam career and Avicia learnining whatever secret Kahdreg has kept close to their vest.
Will these two be a Follywood Fairy Tale? Or are they destined to be a flop?
As of right now, Kindle is up but Print is reading as "unavailable." (Not sure why.) But remember to follow my author page on Amazon too, for easy access to my books!
B&N Press finally sent out my books, so those will be live after the proofs get reviewed. ♥
Thanks for all the support! I couldn't do this without encouragement and feedback from y'all!
