Hold up- were they gonna do something with the new ninja?

It feels like they put in an awful lot of work setting up the front half of an arc involving the new ninja and being replaced.

It feels like there should have been some progression where the ninja realize that they don't have a monopoly on helping fight evil, and they'd have to get over their differences and team up in some capacity. Or the complete opposite- you could have made them full out villains. It would have been less interesting, but it would have been... something. We should have at least seen what they looked like under the hoods but no...

They get turned into crystal zombies, and that's pretty much it.

Empires Magical Girl Au: The 6 lovely empresses are now magical girls!

If I were to write this I would have it focused on Shelby, a foster kid who has just been moved to a new town. What she doesn't know is the town has been under attack form a demon with shadow monsters. So when her new friend Scott starts going off about the superheroes that have been protecting the town she doesn't really believe it. Well until one night while walking home she gets attacked by the demon with its pack of shadows, but is saved by a dark cladded worrier. One of the names Scott listed off quickly comes to mind; Queen of Night.

I’ll leave it there I don’t want to get to far into my ramblings, and make this post too long.

Empires Season one Headcannon (Pearl)

Pearl is not Human; though out the entire series, it is only PearlescentMoon in Gilded Helianthia. With her passing away from the Withering effect is, my belief that Pearl is grown in a tribe of women that were originally created to protect the human expansion into the Overgrown. Eventually, the Helianthian lands developed their own magic and conscience from the Overgrown and thus split from the community and instead desired to cultivate their own soil and land.

This gives me the image of females tending the fields and being taught to defend themselves from invaders. But those times are long past. There are still thrills they have in battle. Pearl is a battle junky; her armor is 'weaved' into her dress as it is a part of her identity as a warrior and Queen.

In my headcanon history, the Gilded Helianthia Royalty are entirely women as the title pass from one queen to the next. Not necessarily from the same stock. As they are 'grown' from the land.
