tysm for requesting ♡ fem!reader
"Are you kidding me?" Derek asks, sounding like a kid in a candy store, a crisp twenty in his back pocket.
Emily follows his line of sight and feels her cheeks apple unbidden, a delighted smile on her painted lips. "Oh, my god."
"Yeah, Garcia?" Derek asks, phone to his ear, Penelope first on his speed dial. "You need to come and see this. Like, right now. Don't worry, baby, just come and see it for yourself."
"I don't even know what to say." Emily stares at you.
You usually dress in line with the other women in this profession: pants that aren't too tight so you can run in if needed, a simple blouse, and a blazer if you're feeling formal.
Today, you've opted for something softer. It was a slow change, one day you were wearing a cashmere sweater, thin and fitted to your form. Another day, you chose to layer your shirt with a cardigan of a similar colour.
Right now? You're all Spencer. Your slacks remain unchanged but your blouse has been swapped for a shirt with a stiff starched collar and layered under what can only be described as a grandpa sweater. It's not quite ugly, but it's almost identical to Spencer's.
What's more, you've swapped your boots for converse.
Spencer holds the door for you. He's chosen to wear a tie at least, clinging to that last strand of professional business attire. He has two coffees, one in each hand, while you carry a box. He's all elbows as he talks to you, and you, ever his fan, follow every word with a fond smile.
"Hey, are you guys sharing a wardrobe now?" Derek asks, absolutely unwilling to hold back.
Emily piles on, "It's cute! You're totally an old married couple, you look like my grandparents."
"What happened to your boots, lovergirl?" Derek asks, nodding at your cons, arms crossed over the back of his chair casually. "Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the sneakers."
"You guys totally match," Emily coos. "You could be on a Christmas card."
You smile —you smile, Emily might just call the news— and walk past them to your desk. Hotch has moved you away from Spencer knowing you'll encourage his endless chattering, which places you on a different island of desks next to Anderson and Agent Camille.
Spencer put his coffee down on his desk, taking off his messenger bag. "Nice going, guys. She brought you donuts. You know, to apologise for calling you both antagonistic losers yesterday," he says, smiling at the mutual horror that crops up on their faces. "The fancy kind, too. She knew your favourite flavours without asking."
From her desk, Emily can see you've opened the box and offered them to your desk mates, your expression unperturbed. "Just don't touch the chocolate sprinkle ones, they're for Spencer," you say.
No matter what they say, how sorry they sound, you give out the donuts to anyone who'll take one until they're all gone. When Garcia arrives, she finds you sitting in your desk chair with your head leaning against Spencer's stomach, taking alternate bites of the same sprinkle-covered donut like it isn't the most domestic, coupley thing you could be doing.
Unlike Emily and Derek, Penelope genuinely thinks you look cute. "You guys are like Brangelina," she breathes, eyes wide, her smile infectious.
Spencer fails to hide a grin, his hand on your shoulder. You're better at controlling your emotion, sliding a small parcelled package across the desk toward her.
"Thank you, Pen," you say. "I like the shoes. They're comfy. And the sweater was a gift." Spencer nods enthusiastically.
That explains why you'd taken such an offence. Anything to do with Spencer raises your hackles. If you felt someone was making fun of his present to you, you'd defend him with your last dying breath, or, in this instance, punish your coworkers in his honour.
"I'm sorry," Derek apologises again, "I was kidding! What do you want me to do, you want me to wear a sweater vest too? I can do that."
You reach back to touch Spencer's side, levelling Derek with an impartial look. Not mad, not sad. Totally indifferent. "That could be a good start."
Spencer hums. "I think so. You wanna borrow one of mine?"
The barest hint of a smile plays on your lips. "That's generous, Spence. You're a philanthropist."
"I am." He strokes the slope of your sweater-clad shoulder proudly. "You know me, I love sharing my wardrobe."

spencer with an alt gf who's got tattoos, piercings, dyed hair and all that. i don't really mind what you do with it im just yearning for my man rn
Spencer introduces his gf to the team.
“Spencer stop fidgeting, you’re making me nervous.” You and your boyfriend are sat in a restaurant waiting for his teammates to arrive.
Spencer and you had hit the year mark and he’d finally felt it was time for his team to meet you.
They know he has a girlfriend, of that he’s never been shy about flaunting, but they’ve never actually met you.
“Sorry, sweetheart. Want another lemonade?” You shake your head, leaning into him to kiss his cheek.
“I’m okay Spence, it’s gonna be great.” You hope it will be. You want his friends and coworkers to like you but even you can realise how different you and Spencer are appearance wise.
Spencer’s all sweater vests and cute ties and cardigans, and you’re all visible tattoos, bright colored tops that stop over your naval to reveal a pretty piercing with a shell dangling on it and distressed jeans.
“Well hello pretty boy!” You recognize him as Derek. “And hello, pretty boy’s girlfriend.”
“Hi, Derek right?” He nods and you introduce yourself, Penelope right behind him and she can’t contain her grin.
“Oh you’re a badass, I already know it.” She says, pulling you in for a hug that you eagerly reciprocate.
JJ and Emily are next and then Hotch and Rossi.
“Where did you two meet?” Rossi asks and Spencer begins recalling the details of how you bumped into him on the subway, headphones on and how he’d helped you steady yourself while giving you all the details of how that was dangerous.
“It probably wasn’t the best first impression but I took his advice. And then we saw each other at that cute cafe and I had to give him my number because it was clearly not coincidental.”
Hotch smiles as you talk, a silent message passing between him and Spencer.
“It doesn’t bother you that he’s always away?” Derek asks and you shake your head.
“I’m not always easily available either,” his team frowns. “Spencer didn’t tell you?” You turn to him and find him blushing and you smile.
“I’m a linguist so most days I’m studying or teaching a class about what I’m studying. I also teach little kids a second language of their parents’ choosing. It’s a hard balance, but it’s fun.”
Rossi and Derek’s smiles are probably the widest. “You’re badass.” Derek says and you smile, cheeks hurting from his sincerity.
Emily chimes in for the first time, “Where do you get your tattoos done? They’re pretty cool.”
You grin again, Spencer chuckling when you say, “They also deter cannibals.”
Penelope and Hotch smile, “So you’re a not so secret nerd?” You shrug, not really knowing if you’d qualify.
“I mean, Spencer tells me crazy facts that I whip out sometimes but mostly I just have a couple things I like.”
The night ends spectacularly and Spencer can’t stop smiling as he walks with you. “So they’re nice,” you tell him and he nods.
“They all love you.” You feel your nerves release at that. “I think the girls will be inviting you to their monthly girl’s night soon enough.”

TV (Emily Prentiss x Reader)
"What about the plans we made?"
Summary: In which you're grieving your dead wife. But is she actually dead?
Warning: Angst and mentions of death.
Tumblr media
YOU WALKED along the cobblestone path, stepping over the cracks you had come to memorize. The sun was shining while the birds were chirping and you wanted nothing more than to shoot those damn birds and rip the sun from the sky.
It wasn't fair that beauty could exist when the love of your life didn't.
"Hi Em." You smiled sadly as you sat down across from your wife's grave.
It had been eight months since you'd gotten the call that your wife was dead.
243 days of existing without your other half.
34,9920 minutes of wondering why you had to fall in love with the most selfless, heroic, and caring person to walk this earth.
20,995,200 seconds of missing the only person who made everywhere feel like home.
"I brought you flowers," You said as you put the fresh pair of roses against her gravestone. "The worker at the flower shop said that I must have the happiest partner alive since I buy bouquets so much. How ironic is that?" You chuckled sadly. Not because you found it funny, but because you knew Emily would have.
'That wouldn't happen if you would stop buying me flowers' Is what Emily would have said.
"I never understood why you didn't like flowers," You said as you picked at the grass beneath you. "And you don't get a choice now. You broke our promise." You frowned as you threw the small pieces of grass at her grave.
"You need to let that go, my love' Emily would say.
"I was supposed to go first! That was the deal! But you broke our promise so I can do whatever I want. So if I want to fill your whole damn grave up with flowers then I will." You said indignantly. You knew you probably looked crazy to onlookers. Having a one-sided argument with a grave probably wasn't the best way of coping. Making up your dead wife's side of the conversation probably wasn't the healthiest either, but you didn't care. You didn't care about a lot of things these days.
'You are so stubborn sometimes' Emily would have said with a teasing smile.
"We're both stubborn," You said with a small eye roll. "I mean, we wouldn't be in this position if you weren't." Tears start to form at the corner of your eyes. You didn't think it was humanly possible to cry as much as you had over the last eight months. But here you were, the never-ending tears making their way down your cheeks.
'I'm so sorry sweetheart. I never meant to hurt you' Emily would have said as she consoled you. She would have scooped you up into her arms and tucked your head into the crevice of her neck where it would fit perfectly.
"It's not your fault. None of this is." You sniffled as you reached out and placed your palm against the cold stone of her grave. "It's just not fair! We were supposed to have a lifetime together. We had so many plans."
'I know my love. But just because I'm not here doesn't mean you can't live your life to the fullest' Emily would have smiled, ever the optimist. That had been a surprise when you first met over five years ago. While she may have been a badass, stone-cold agent on the outside, she was nothing but sunshine and warmth on the inside. Of course, you were the only one who got to see her soft interior but you didn't mind, you loved having a part of Emily just to yourself. But now you didn't have any part of Emily.
"I don't know how to move on without you, Em. How am I supposed to enjoy life when you're not next to me enjoying it too? How can I love anything when half of my heart is buried with you?" You cried, tears still flowing down your cheeks as you leaned your forehead against her grave. You cried until the birds stopped chirping and the sun went down. You mourned the woman Emily never got to grow into. You grieved the life you and Emily never got to live.
You didn't know how long you'd been there, but after your tears subsided you decided to head home for the night.
"Bye, Em. I love you." You murmured as you traced her name in the stone before standing up and walking along the cobblestone path once again.
The drive home was quiet. The radio was playing Emily's favorite station but you weren't paying attention. Maybe that was why you didn't notice the car in your driveway until you parked. You furrowed your brows as you recognized the black SUV, those were the ones Emily drove whenever she was on the job.
It wasn't unusual for a black SUV to be in your driveway. Emily's team would come to visit you at least once a week. You didn't know if it was because they felt guilty for her death or if they wanted to be close to the closest thing to Emily. You didn't mind it though, it was nice to have company to break up the silence of your house.
However, you knew the team was on a case. Penelope had called and told you that. So you cautiously walked up to your front porch. You shakily grabbed the keys from your purse and unlocked the door. "Hello?" You called as you walked to the living room where you saw a light on.
As soon as you walked in you froze. The purse in your hand drops to the floor. It was a ghost. The ghost of your Emily standing right in front of you. You closed your eyes wondering how your tired brain could conjure up such a perfect image of her. But when you opened them again she was still standing there.
"Y/n?" Emily's voice cracked as she laid eyes on you for the first time in eight months.
Your brain felt foggy and you couldn't find the flashlight to see through it. Were you hallucinating now?
Emily could see the shock on your face and the way her presence hadn't registered in your mind. "It's me," The brunette said, wanting nothing more than to wrap her arms around you and never let you go, but she knew she had to be careful. "It's Emily," She said as she walked toward your frozen frame slowly.
She was close enough now that you could feel her breath but you didn't dare to look anywhere but into her eyes. The same eyes that had watched you laugh, cry, and love. The same eyes you had spent years memorizing...
Oh my god. Was this real? Was this your Emily and not a figment of your grieving imagination?
Almost as if reading your mind she smiled, "I'm real, my love", she raised her hand slowly and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. You let out a shallow breath as you felt her touch and suddenly the fog from your brain had been cleared. This was real. The woman in front of you was your life, your love, your Emily.
You launched yourself at her knowing she would catch you. You were immediately wrapped into her embrace, feeling at home for the first time since you had gotten that soul-crushing phone call.
Nothing else mattered to you at this moment. All your questions and confusion could be answered later. Right now you were in your wife's arms and you never planned on leaving
"Emily." You smiled tearily as you tucked your face under her chin, the smell of perfume filling your senses. "Hi, sweetheart." Emily smiled as tears fell down her face, "I told you I would never break a promise."

The Faces of Emily Prentiss
Request from anon: Could I request Emily Prentiss & teen!daughter? Maybe Emily doesn’t notice how her daughter pulls back and keeps to herself more and more because she struggles with her mom being gone so much recently and school being a lot for her (procrastination, problems concentrating when worrying about her mom, …). You can do with this whatever you like Gill, I’m just excited to read more of yours 🥰
Emily Prentiss x daughter!reader (can be read as teen!reader)
Summary: reader’s grades have been slipping and it brings up many feelings between them and Emily.
A/N: Okay, wow, I did not expect for this fic to come out this long. Maybe I should write more mom!Emily because apparently it’s inspiring. Kinda angsty with a fluffy-ish ending. There were no places to put in pronouns, so even though it’s daughter!reader it can be read as teen!reader.
CW: brief mention of psych evaluation, Emily is an absent mother, one mention that Emily wears weapons, nickname for reader is “kiddo” (if you think you know why let me know and I’ll give you a pat on the back for the right answer), reader has hair but length is not specified.
---
Manila, in your opinion, was the worst color. Not because of the color itself, but because of the things adorned with it - walls poorly painted by landlords, rags that should have been thrown out years ago, the hair of the snooty girls at school, the tug-of-war rope used in gym class that always burned your hands.
Folders.
If you could have tossed the one your teacher gave to you into the trash, you probably would have. I might as well, you thought to yourself. The thing was destined to get lost in the pile of similar ones on your mother’s desk. Would you rather go to a landfill, or sit with a bunch of cases on serial killers?
The folder, expectantly, didn’t respond. If it did, you would have been worried for your sanity. Then the next folder that landed on Emily Prentiss’s desk would have been a concerning psychiatric evaluation instead of your report card. At least with the evaluation she might have to pay a little more attention to you.
The door to your mother’s home office was always open. She locked you away from too many parts of her already - and even though she was well aware that some of the information in that room was supposed to stay classified - the idea of locking you out of a room that was in your own home, was too physical for her to bear. Not that she would ever tell you.
You knocked on the wood softly, though you didn’t know why. She wasn’t home. She was never home anymore; knocking was just a polite habit. You put your hand to the knob and swung open the door, then found yourself disappointed when she wasn’t asleep at her desk. Knocking wasn’t a polite habit; it was a hope that, for once, she would be there to answer. A hope that was far out of reach.
You put the report card folder on top of the stack, becoming just another document that had to be marked with the initials E.P. before it could be filed away.
In a house this big, the quiet should have been eerie, but it wasn’t. The quiet was normal. You sat down at the kitchen table and pulled out your phone, opening to your messages with your mom.
Badass Maman:
Hey, kiddo. Leaving for an emergency case. Be back soon. (Received 2 days ago)
You:
Okay. I love you. (Delivered 2 days ago)
Yep. Normal.
It was still that way an hour later when you did your homework, and when the nanny came to check on you. It was that way when you went to bed that night and woke up the next morning. Everything about it was normal.
You wished it wasn’t.
---
Phones weren’t allowed in classrooms, but they were allowed in the hallways. A familiar ding went off as you walked with your friend to second period math. Your friend pulled their phone from their pocket and frowned.
“Did something happen?” you asked.
They shook their head. “No notification.”
You pulled your phone out, and the world stopped entirely when you saw it was a message from your mom.
Badass Maman:
Flying home now. I’ll be back when you get home from school. I love you. (Received Now)
Relief flooded over you.
“Did something happen?” your friend asked.
“My mom is on her way home.” For the first time in days, you felt air could fill the entirety of your lungs. The million-mile-an-hour heart that was beating in your chest slowed to a regular pace. The tension in your too-tight shoulders loosened.
You:
Okay. I love you too. (Read Now)
---
You had all but forgotten about the manila folder holding your report card. It hadn’t crossed your mind since you placed it on your mother’s desk. You hadn’t bothered to look inside when you received it, too focused on the cursed cover to think about the letters inside.
When you unlocked the front door and stepped inside, you called out immediately for her. “Mom! I’m home!” but there was no answer. “Mom?”
It wasn’t unusual for her to fall asleep on the couch, waiting for you to get home from school after being sleep deprived for days. Still, the living room couch was void of any life. You turned to the kitchen, but found nobody there. So you made the walk to the only other place your mother might go in the house after a case: her office.
The door was half-way open, but still, you knocked. A polite habit.
She turned from her seat at her desk, took in the sight of you, and smiled. Within seconds you were wrapped in her arms. Your head landed on her shoulder, while she ran a gentle hand through your hair.
“God, I missed you, kiddo,” she said. The exhaustion in her voice contradicted the strength of her embrace.
“I missed you too, mom,” you whispered. She held you for a little longer than normal, and when she did let go, you couldn’t help but profile her a little.
There were three different faces Emily Prentiss wore:
The Agent Face: a raven-haired, modern fem fatale that runs off enough coffee to kill a small horse, she walks through bloody crime scenes unfazed. She’s a no-nonsense attitude dressed in heeled boots and a glock. With intelligence sharper than a blade and a smart-mouth to match, it’s only fitting that she works for one of the most elite units of the FBI.
The Emily Face: always classy with a little bit of fun sprinkled in. She’s got a wicked sense of humor, a brilliant laugh, and a bright smile to match. The kind of friend who is down for a night on the town or a quiet movie night. This, you know, is the face she wears outside of work, around her friends; you can only imagine what this face looked like before the agency, and before you.
The Mom Face: the one you see the most. It’s the face that can’t cook to save her life, though she tries very hard. The one that celebrates your ups and supports you in your downs. She’s started to find a few more gray hairs as you've grown older, but that’s to be expected from a strong woman raising a child alone. The only one of the faces that’s unsure about if she’s good enough; everything in you wants to tell her she is.
The face she wore right now, seemed to be a combination of all three. She hadn’t been home long enough to have changed from her work attire into a normal tee shirt and jeans. You could see the traces of mascara on her shoulder where either Penelope or JJ had needed a friend’s shoulder to cry on. The unsteadiness that crossed her expression only ever appeared when it came to parenting… when it came to you.
“There were kids, weren’t there?” you said. And though her past was full of secrets, she didn’t bother keeping this one in.
“There were,” she sighed. Once again, she brought her hand to your hair, as if she were trying to sooth herself with the texture of it while making sure that you were real. “But it’s over now.”
You didn’t know if that meant the case ended good or bad, and you were thankful that you weren’t a good enough profiler (yet) to read the answer in her expression. “I’m gonna finish up some work and then we can catch up, okay?”
You nodded. “Yeah. I’ll go do my homework.”
She pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead and you gave her a tight-lipped smile before she moved back to her desk and you moved towards the door.
“Open or closed?” you asked her, standing in the threshold.
“You can leave it open,” she replied.
It was her answer every time, but you still always asked. A polite habit.
---
Two hours later, you were still struggling through your math homework at the kitchen table and your mom was still in her office. Knuckles tightened around your pencil before you let it go with an exasperated sigh and crumbled up the loose leaf paper you were working on. You sifted through your notes, trying to find the formula, but you had either written it down incorrectly or not at all.
You pulled the textbook from your bag only to find that you’d forgotten to write down what section the class was studying. With your brain feeling fried inside your head, it made skimming through the chapter more difficult, and by the time you’d gotten to the end, you were no closer to figuring out the answer than when you started.
Fueled by frustration, a trail of French expletives left your mouth.
“Well, I’m glad you’re at least keeping up with your language studies.” You looked up to see your mom standing on the threshold of the kitchen.
Even in duck-print pajama pants, she still looked intimidating, leaning on one hip with her arms crossed over her chest. As soon as you noticed her stance, she began walking towards you, uncrossing her arms. In one of her hands was a dreaded manila folder. With the ease that only a master interrogator could have, she sat down at the table and pushed the folder towards you, opening it so you could see the grades inside.
You were sure the many files on her desk showed far more hellish images than your grades, but it even caught you off-guard to see that you were failing or close to failing every class. It dawned on you suddenly that your grades had been slipping, but you didn’t imagine that they had gone down so fast.
“I-” you started, but the shock was flooding you. Emily took the folder and closed it, pulling it out of your line of sight and snapping you back to reality. Your genuine reaction must have been enough to tell her that you were as unaware of the situation as she was.
“Kiddo,” she sighed. “What happened?”
Her voice and features softened - The Concerned Mother Face. It wasn’t one that appeared a lot… just when big things happened, like moving to a new country or faking both your deaths. That kind of stuff.
You shrugged helplessly. “I don’t know. This year has been…” With a shaky breath everything rose to the surface. “It’s hard to do things when I’m never sure if you’re dead or alive.”
A new face of Emily Prentiss formed in front of your tear-filled eyes. This one was vastly different from the others. It was exhausted from sleepless nights in random police stations across the country, when all she wanted was to be home; it was pain-filled from every wound she wore on her body that she insisted she didn’t need help cleaning; and it was that of a mother who had just brought home a newborn, with no clue as to how she was supposed to raise an innocent being into a human.
She said no words, only embraced you. After the familiar comfort of her arms calmed you, you went to pull away. She didn’t let you go. A spot on your shoulder had become wet with her tears. You held her tighter, and when a sob racked through her weary body, you hummed the tune of the ballad she used to sing you as a little girl.
Only when she began to sing the words of the song, you knew it would be okay. Only then, you could be sure that Emily Prentiss - the smartest, strongest, bravest person you had ever known - wouldn’t fall apart if you let go.
In French just as smooth as her English, she began to whisper the rhyme. A dozen times you had wondered why that was the primary tongue she chose to raise you with. You were passable in Spanish and Arabic, but it was the language of love that your mother had wanted you to speak fluently.
That reason was good enough.
The song came to an end and she pulled away to look at you, caressing your cheek with a gentle hand. “I’m sorry,” she said.
You shook your head. “You don’t have anything to be sorry about, mom. You save people.”
Emily sighed. “But I can do better letting you know that I’m safe. I can at least find time to make sure to answer your texts.” You looked down, feeling the slightest bit guilty. But your mom wasn’t a profiler for nothing. “Don’t you do that,” she said sternly - The Agent Face.
“But-”
“No buts. It’s you and me. It’s always been you and me.” A sneaky smile escaped from her lips. “Plus I promised myself I wouldn’t be like your grandmother and put my job in front of my children.”
That had the both of you giggling - The Emily Face.
She pulled you back into her arms, stroking a gentle hand through your hair. “I love you, kiddo.” - The Mother Face.
“I love you too, mom.”

some extra help- Emily Prentiss x Fem!Reader
summary: this is a drabble kinda based on episode 3x02 but it's not a whole insert TW: suggestive content but no smut, dress up, fluff (very cute if you ask me), it's not smut so not much to say here, very short talk about medical stuff (head injury, concussion), i think that's all A/N: this one is quite short but very cute. It's not smut, just suggestive, i ended it right there because I wasn't really on the mood for it. As always: any feedback is appreciated. english isn't my first language. like and reblog <3
Tumblr media
you had spent the last 2 nights in a row waking up every 3 to 4 hours, several alarms a night. After saving not only that poor little boy and woman's lives, but also saving you boss' and girlfriend's jobs, you returned home to a renewed Emily Prentiss. She was relieved that she could finally rest, not having to chose between her job and her team, which included you. You had insisted on her not resigning but she would give anything for you and the people she loved, for her team.
After the number she pulled in Milwaukee (you had also begged her to be careful, and you would've shoot that man when you saw what he had done to her hadn't JJ been there to stop you) she had a concussion. it was basically your job to make sure she was still breathing.
You secretly loved taking care of Emily, you kind of hated having to wake up every once in a while, obviously, but there was something about taking helping her with regular stuff, making sure she was taking things easy, all that intimacy.
"baby, stop it" she complains "I'm fine, I can carry my own bag" you had taken it upon yourself to carry it to her apartment "i know you can, but i don't want you to, you have to rest" you try to convince her
"I'm fine, the meds help a lot, it barely hurts now" She says trying to make you forget all that worry "since Milwaukee you've treated me like I'm so fragile, but I won't break just like that"
You drop her bag and her purse, and turn around to face her, grabbing her waist, pulling her close to you, she surrounds your neck with her hands "What's wrong with it? So, i want to take care of my girlfriend, no big deal, she can still be a badass, specially at work, as far as they're concerned, there's no worried girlfriend, just a worried friend, who drives you to work so you don't have to do it yourself" she caresses your back with her fingers, listening to every word you say.
Your relationship was still a secret for the rest of the team, you had been dating already for several months, but you were taking it slow, so no one in the team actually knew you were the one spending the nights at Emily's apartment taking care of her until she got better.
"well, i love my worried girlfriend but she should take a break and get me a nurse so she can start relaxing with me" she says, giving you a peck on your lips and separating from your embrace to go to the bathroom
little did Emily know she had just given you an idea
⋆ ˚。 ⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。 ⋆
next day you enter Emily's apartment, ready for a nigh full of interruptions, but very ready to have some fun as well.
Emily had given you an idea, a very good one, the kind of idea you knew your girlfriend would love. So you move around the apartment, being as quiet as you can, Emily is resting on the couch reading a book, and you're in the room trying to get yourself ready.
"I can hear you moving, what are you up to back there?" she asks putting her book down, giving up on concentrating enough to read.
"you know, I think it's time to change that bandage on your forehead don't you think? It's been a couple of days" you say from the back of the room
"oh, yeah, i forgot, if you get me the first aid kit i can do it myself"
"no, i can do it for you, because, if i remember correctly, you said yesterday you could use a nurse, right?" with that you enter the living room, all dressed in the lamest, cheapest nurse costume you could have found, the only thing that mattered anyways was that it was short, white, and revealing.
Emily sits up, sitting upright on the couch, her mouth falls open, speechless, her eyes scanning you, running up and down your figure as if trying to memorize every bit of the image.
"So? what do you think?" you tell her, pinning around to give her a look from every angle
her lips start curving into a smile, her mouth still open, she chuckles in surprise, runs her hand through her hair looking for the words
"I can't believe this, you look awesome baby, come here" she says still in awe, opens her arms in a welcoming position. You walk to her, place your legs on her sides so you're straddling her, she caresses the skin of your legs, holding you in place, and lay down to give her a kiss, holding her head with both your hands, she dugs her fingers in the flesh of your thighs, you kiss her lips softly, giving in the contact, melting into the kiss.
"you're hottest nurse I've ever kissed in my life" you chuckle against her lips, she gives you a peck before you get away
"So, are you gonna let the nurse change that bandage of yours or what?" you ask, and she nods, still smiling, holding on to you but finally letting go to allow you to go take the kit.
You come back from the bathroom with a wet cloth in one hand and the red box in the other one, you gesture her to sit straight, and lay her head back, regaining your last position straddling her waist, and her hands fly back to hold your thighs.
You start by slowly taking the old bandage off to avoid hurting her, you take the wet cloth and start cleaning the wound with it, gently tapping around it. She looks at your focused frown, smiling over how seriously you're taking your job. She runs her fingers through the soft skin of your thighs, every time her hands move she reaches higher until she is no longer touching your legs, but your ass, squeezing it gently, making you jump
"Hey! I'm trying to work here, stop distracting me!" You scold her, but she doesn't retreat, her hands keep wondering around, you try to make it as fast as you can.
Applying the bandage on her forehead delicately, you give her a peck on the lips "you're all set" you announce
"thank you nurse, i was wondering, maybe there's something else you could help me with?" she says to your surprise "sure, what would that be?"
"well you see, my very concerned and beautiful girlfriend used to be the one to take care of me, but ever since you came, I haven't seen her around, so maybe you could take care of me tonight, maybe for a bit longer" she says with the sexiest voice, batting her eyelashes to add up to the act, you just follow her play.
"well this one girlfriend of yours sounds like a very nice lady, but i guess i could help you out" you kiss her again, lustfully, running your hands through her hair, down to her sides, until you reach the hemline of her shirt, and you tug on it "how about if we start by removing this?"

Here's what I hope happens with Fig's character. I want her to go through something similar to Penny Luck stone in The Seven. Penny had two choices presented to her and she ended up deciding to make both work. And I loved it, she didn't have to sacrifice anything and got everything she wanted.
Now Fig has many different paths in front of her. Bard, warlock, barbarian, paladin, and many many many more but those are the four I am focusing on.
Fig isn't the type to be forced into a box, she is a free spirit who always wants to try and experience new things. She audits class after class and she loves and she's good at it. As Brennan said, she actually added to the class with intelligent discussion. She fully throws herself into every new thing she finds.
What if Fig doesn't have to choose. It would be complicated if she multi classed a third time and it'd be so much more intense if she even did a fourth time but if anyone could pull it off, it'd be Emily Axford.
I want Figeroth Faeth to become the first triple multi class, maybe quadruple multi class in dimension 20 history. (It has come to my attention that there's actually been other triple multi classes before. It'd still be badass if Fig did it though.)

Not a request, but I wanna know from you...
HOW THE HAZBIN HOTEL CHARACTERS WOULD ACT DURING NIGHT 5 IN FNAF.
(Including the Vees and the angels).
Please do it my brain is rotting/pos and ur the only type of blog I can ask these questions lmao
Mmmmmh, I haven’t played fnaf since i was gah damn 6 years old and I only saw like night 1. But I heard about how damn hard night 5 is. So here we go.
Lucifer, this man…..THIS SHORT LIL FUNNY MAN IS MOST DEFINITELY TRYING TO NOT BLOW UP THE WHOLE THE WHOLE RESTAURANT. But he fails as Freddy turned off the lights only to get knocked by a big ass apple Lucifer had thrown. Lucifer is staying in his palace watching cartoons.
Charlie, what makes you think she would be in there without her father who is telling her “GET YOUR ASS BACK HOME!” With her lovely girlfriend. But nah honestly she’ll try to pull a Snow White and try to talk to the animatronics that wants to kill her as freddy’s eyes start to flash its light.
Vaggie, I mean she would be so skeptic to even take the job. So when it reaches night 5, you better believe she turned into the meme of “fuck this shit I’m out.” Immediately she is stabbing them with the spear.
Alastor, PFTTT- this man is burning the place down dead ass😭. This man will probably so just sit and drink tea as he causes another fnaf 3 😭😭
Angel dust, mosttt definitely will try to flirt his way out of being skilled and put into a suit. If that fails. He’s running max speed in them damn high leg heels his got while clutching his pearls and purse 🧍🏾
Husk, he’s too drunk for the damn job 😭 he probably acts like that Mike version that like got bite by foxy? Yk that Version? Uuuh what’s her name rebonica? Yeah that mike version but just grumpy and an alcoholic
Sir pentious, he’s crying as he curls up. 😭 poor thing, and his egg boil ate trying to survive the night as one of them dead by being cracked. But chica probably wants to adopt one of them eggs lol
Cherri, she’s blowing that bitch up if foxy tried running towards her.
The Vee’s, they are the trio who argue who is doing what duty to watch them robot fuckers. But mostly I think Vox will make them haywire and just walk out as if he is some badass
Adam, “yeah fuck no” is what he would say if one of them try to get him. He’s dead ass throwing them out the office and closing all the doors.
Lute, …..she’s straight up leaving the minute the power goes out. Not in fear, but she is tired of this shit and wants to just relax.
Sera, What makes you think she would even be in that place- 😭 she’s literally in heaven just minding her business when she gets teleported surrounded by robots. She might as well just opens portal and go to heaven and leave them looking dumb.
Emily, no. Just no. This sweet BABYYY😭😭🥺 but if I had to, she would be like Charlie and pull a Snow White while trying not to cry in fear.
THATS ALL I GOT!

WRONG PERSON WRONG TIME
Jennifer Jareau x reader , Emily Prentiss x reader
wc - 1339
TW // SO MUCH ANGSSTTT!!! slight smut at the start if you squint, curse words, alcohol
A/N - tbh I’m going through all my requests and drafts which is why there are lots of my fics coming out tonight but there probably won’t be as much as this for a small while ! also it’s important to note at the end of this fic jj and reader are broken up with ! when she goes over Emily’s house; reader and JJ are NOT together
Tumblr media
"You're such a bitch" JJ scowled.
"Real cute JJ" you scoffed.
"I hate you" JJ seethed.
"Oh my God are we really doing this here" you slung your arm back as you were arguing in the middle of the bullpen.
"Yeah" JJ sighed "Yeah we are cause you sure as hell don't listen to me anywhere else" JJ smirked.
"Oh you're really gonna play the whole 'I'm in the Unit Chief and I think I'm better then everyone else' card" you scoffed.
"Well you didn't get the job did you?" JJ laughed.
"Fuck you" you crossed your arms and snickered.
"You wish" JJ laughed in your face.
"JJ your office I need a word with you" you narrowed your eyes waiting for her to go.
"What the hell is the matter with you?" you shouted as the door to her office shut "Ever since you got this job you're a whole new person and I don't like, I miss the old JJ, the JJ who actually cared about other people's feelings, especially her girlfriend's ones at that" you scoffed running your hands through your hair.
"Baby-" JJ started as she sat on the couch her hand slowly making her way up her thigh as she started leaning back and bucking her hips up.
"No Jay we're not doing this right now I'm so mad at you" you seethed.
"Just come here" she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
You scanned her up and down and gave in and sat on her lap facing towards her, your knees tucked into the sides of the couch.
"You miss me too much" JJ laughed as she started kissing your neck.
"Stop talking" you said "kiss me" you said.
"I am kissing you" she said her lips attached to your neck.
"No on my lips" you sighed.
"What was that?" JJ mocked.
"Kiss me on my lips please" you sighed
"Because you begged so nicely I will" JJ smiled "you're so pretty like this you know" JJ smirked in the middle of your kiss.
"I know" you smiled tucking her hair behind her ear, your lips still attached to hers.
A couple of minutes later after you finished making out, you were still on her lap facing her with your knees sunk into the couch "can we talk about this?" you sighed sadly.
"About what baby?" JJ smiled tucking your hair behind your ears.
"About us, I mean we argue all the time and we solve nothing by doing this" you gestured to your current position.
"I know" JJ smiled sadly again.
"Jennifer I can't keep doing this, I'm sorry" you shuffled backwards to get off her lap.
"No wait we can fix this, I know we can" JJ begged as you stood up over her.
"We can't Jay and you know it" you bent down to kiss her forehead "I'm sorry, not this time" tears escaping and quickly.
"Y/N wait" JJ begged as she stood up reaching out for you.
"It's best if we aren't together any more JJ" you turned around sadly to face her as you cupped her cheek with your hand.
"Can I do something that'll change it?" JJ breathed out quickly "I can change" her voice barely above a whisper.
"I don't want you to ever change Jay" tears streaming down your face.
"Jennifer, I will always love you, always" you hugged her tightly "We're just not good together, I'm sorry" your head becoming dizzy with the fact that you were actually doing this.
"I need you" JJ whispered.
"You don't need me" you chucked slightly through your sobs "you're the most badass person I know" you both chuckled "you'll be fine, I promise" you paused "and I don't make those lightly"
"I love you" JJ said quickly as you turned around to put your hand on the door.
"I love you too, always, it just isn't our time" you smiled once more as you walked out of JJ's office.
You went to the bathroom to freshen up, you came back to the bullpen to see everyone huddled around Spencer's desk "What's going on here?" you whispered gently coming up behind them.
"Physics magic" Emily smiled as she threw her arm back for a side hug which you gladly took "you okay?" she whispered so only you could hear it.
"No but I don't wanna talk about it in front of everyone" you wearily smiled.
"You wanna talk about it at my place tonight?" Emily suggested.
"Yeah I would like that" you looked up at her and she winked.
——
Once you got to Emily's apartment, once she sent you the address you were in shock at how big her apartment was.
"You need to close your mouth or you'll catch flies you know" Emily laughed.
"That's something my mom would say" you cringed, you crinkled your nose and recoiled in disgust as Emily laughed.
"Make yourself at home" Emily smiled as she grabbed two glasses and a bottle of wine.
"What's going on in that mind of yours" Emily sighed as she sat down on the couch next to you handing you your glass.
"JJ broke up with me" your fingers played with the rim of Emily's glass, you couldn't even look up at her because of how embarrassed you were.
"Oh honey no" Emily shuffled closer to you after putting your drink down.
"Emily I don't want pity" you chuckled, still playing with the rim.
"Don't think of it like pity, think of it like helping a friend out" she suggested with a shrug.
"Ha ha" you rolled your eyes as you set your glass down
"Y/N" she said as she playfully jabbed your side which made you laugh for real.
"Emily stop" you said through laughs.
"Not until you feel better" she said laughing as well.
"Thank you for this" you sighed.
"For sure" Emily said grabbing the two glasses and walking around the couch to put them in the dishwasher "and obviously if you need somewhere to stay, I have a spare bedroom that it honestly just gathering pure dust" Emily laughed.
"Can I stay here for tonight?" you bit your lip as you suggested it, unsure of how Emily would react.
"Oh honey of course" Emily walked over to you and kissed your forehead.
"We can go apartment hunting on the weekend if you're up for it?" Emily suggested as you nodded your head "It sounds like a plan then" Emily smiled.
"Sure does" you genuinely smiled for the first time that night.
"Come on, you look exhausted" Emily reached a hand out for you to take which you gladly accepted.
"Pajamas are in that drawer" Emily pointed to the middle of the large chest of drawers in front of you "and if you need anything don't hesitate to knock on my door" Emily smiled as she rubbed your arm in consolation.
You got into bed and checked your phone, multiple calls and texts from JJ asking if you could work this out just made the situation seem a lot more messy than what it needed to, you and JJ both knew you weren't right for each other so why was she trying so hard.
"Emily?" you questioned softly as you knocked on the door.
"Yeah?" she replied as you peered your head in through the door.
"Could I-could I um-" you gestured to the bed, Emily nodding as she knew what you meant, she shuffled backwards and opened the blanket for you to crawl under which you gladly took her up on "I'm sorry I'm such a mess" you sighed as you chuckled.
"Don't ever apologize for that, you're grieving a breakup right now" Emily softly shushed you.
"If it isn't asking to much can I hug you?" you looked up almost embarrassed.
"Mmhm" Emily smiled as she opened her arms for you to sink into.
"Thank you" you smiled into her chest.
"Don't mention it" she smiled as she kissed your forehead once more before you fell asleep.

I would love to see more of badass reader x Spencer, but maybe reader gets hurt on a case (like a concussion or something) and only wants Spencer and we get to see more of reader’s soft spot for Spencer. Idk if that made sense or if that’s anything you’d be interested in writing. Love reading whatever you write!💕
thank you for your request and for reading babe!! —your singular soft spot for spencer rises to the surface when you get hurt in the field. fem!reader, 1.1k
Emily's foot tap tap taps hospital linoleum. The nurses are getting worried about you —your CAT scans are fine, but you're lethargic. Mildly concussed with moderate symptoms, you winced at the lights, told Emily to turn them off, and haven't said much since.
She frowns. It's not nice to see someone who's usually so closed-off openly pained. "You okay?" she asks.
"I wanna see Spence," you murmur.
Emily nods slowly. She's had this conversation with you already. You have a spot of amnesia, nothing to worry about, decidedly temporary.
"Why hasn't he come to see me?" you ask. Your voice trips and tumbles, your eyes glowing with a glassy sheen. "I thought he'd come to… make sure I was okay. But he doesn't want to see me."
"Spencer's on the way here. He was an hour away with Hotch, remember? They're on their way."
You twitch like a displeased cat under your sheets and turn away from her, sniffling weakly. Your shoulders heave with slow tears. Emily gets up to rub your back but thinks better of it when you stiffen. She doesn't understand how you function, doesn't know what it is about Spencer alone that you can be vulnerable with him and not the others, but she won't judge you for it. She just wishes there was more she could do.
It's an untold amount of time between your tears and Spencer's awaited arrival. You're worse than lethargic, depressed, hand lax behind your back and unresponsive to the sound of the door.
"She's asleep?" he mouths. His hair is limp either side of his face, flattened by anxious hands.
"Upset," she mouths back through a frown, drawing a tear down her cheek with her pinky finger.
He doesn't give Emily a second glance after that.
"Hey," he says softly, rounding your hospital bed, touching the tips of his fingers to your hip and drawing a gentle line up your side. His head dips down, bending at the waist to see you better in the dim lighting. "Hey, what's wrong?"
You make a small keening sound from the back of your throat. It's so cleaving that Emily wants to leave, so painful that she wants to stay. You're her friend too. Emily cares about you, even when it hurts to do so.
"I don't feel like me," you say.
Spencer doesn't shy away either. His expression is open, reassuring as he pops into a semi squat that can't be comfortable. His hand closes around your arm, thumb feeling the naked skin there sweetly. "It's normal to feel confused after a head injury. I promise it won't last."
"I don't feel well," you say, small, like a scared kid.
"I know."
You reach for him. Emily knows Derek would never believe it, your hands stretched out almost desperately, the pleading noise yanked from between teeth normally gritted. Spencer wraps long arms around you with the ease of someone who's done it before, maybe exactly like this.
"It's okay," he says. He's speaking with pep he doesn't feel. Emily can see he's stressed in the high pinch of his shoulders, but he's putting on a show for you. "You don't have to be scared. It's okay."
The perpetual line carved between Hotch's brows seems deeper as he enters the room. Neither of you look up, your back loosening under the lazy back and forth of Spencer's hand.
"Concerning, right?" Emily asks.
Hotch ignores her, but not for lack of agreement. "What do her observations say?"
"Mild to moderate head injury, post-concussion amnesia, fractured index and middle finger on her left hand."
"Where are her clothes?" he asks.
"They can't check her out until she gets her fingers cast and all she brought in her go bag was slacks."
"I'll get her some pyjamas," Hotch says.
Emily's not sure what's funnier, the idea of you in pyjamas, the image of Hotch choosing a pair, or the word pyjamas in his stoic murmur. He lingers to make sure you're okay, his eyes tracking the tremble of your arms as Spencer talks too low to hear in your ear, having sat down on the bed and curled himself around you protectively.
You moan something sad and Spencer laughs, your hospital gown crinkling as he massages the top of your shoulder. "Why would you say that?" he asks lightly. "You think you know better than me? Really?"
"Of course not," you say. If it were anyone else, you'd have knocked them off the bed already.
"I don't remember you having an eidetic memory," he furthers.
You actually manage to laugh for the first time since your initial injury. "I don't remember anything right now," you say.
Emily leans over to Hotch. "You know, when we first came in, I suggested to the nurse that she might have amnesia because she kept asking me where she was, and she looked me dead in the eye and said, well, good thing you're not a nurse."
Hotch scoffs a laugh. "It's a little surprising even now. Seeing them together, you'd never think it."
"Think what?" Emily asks, fond rather than judgemental. "That she's as emotional as a China teacup?"
"I'll remember for both of us," Spencer murmurs, stroking your face. "Okay? So calm down."
Derek once told you to calm down and felt the cold of your icy attitude for a ragged week. Spencer says it and you take a visible deep breath, your head laying back in your pillows, his hand quick to cup the side of your neck. "Okay," you say quietly.
"It's not just that," Hotch says, failing to explain further.
He doesn't have to. Emily knows what he means. You can be snippy, aloof, unfriendly. But it's not just your softening that's surprising, it's Spencer's growing confidence. The ease with which he handles you, hands unabashed in their comforting.
"Want me to find you something to wear?" Spencer asks.
"We got it," Hotch interrupts. "Take it easy, Y/N. Rest."
You nod obediently. He and Emily leave, hearing a last snippet of conversation as the heavy door closes behind them.
"You wanna sign my cast, when they do it?" you ask hopefully.
"Are you kidding? I'd love to. I've always wanted to sign someone's cast, and it's good for your morale."
"Will they be in a cast long, do you think?"
"They should be healed in about six to eight weeks, but you may not regain full strength for another two months afterward. There have actually been studies…"

Hello! I know you just posted something and i'm about to go read it now, but tomorrow it's my birthday and i was wondering if you could write something about Hotch with a younger s/o that turns 25? Althought you don't have to mention the age if it's too specific, if you make it clear that they have an age gap is more than enough. Maybe the team teasing him about the fact that he landed a young badass woman like her? Idk 🙈🙈
I hope I haven’t missed your birthday with this one
You’re not expecting the team to do anything for your birthday, especially when you’re freshly back from a case. Just getting some sleep and being back at home was enough for you to be more than satisfied, and waking up next to your wonderful boyfriend was an added bonus.
So when you walk into the conference room and there’s a banner, flowers, cake, a gift, and most importantly, the whole team, you’re throughly surprised.
You thank them with hugs, leaving your boyfriend until last. He’s not concerned about any FBI PDA policies when he pulls you in for a hug, holding you tightly against his chest and kissing the top of your head. “Happy birthday, gorgeous.” He whispers.
“Thanks.” You reply, beaming up at him.
“Make a wish.” Penelope interrupts you two, probably for everyone’s benefits since even you know the ‘I love you more’s are cringeworthy.
She’s holding your cake out for you to blow out the candles. It’s a mouthwatering cake, decorated perfectly with two candles on top displaying your age. Aaron doesn’t let go of you when you step forward, opting to keep a hand resting on your back instead.
They all cheer when you blow them out. “Are you really that young?” Emily asks. “That means you were still a baby when I was in middle school.”
You laugh with a nod. “Just when I was feeling old you say that.”
“You know you’re probably closer to the inverse of her age, Aaron?” Rossi reminds him.
You’ve had the conversation so many times when Aaron was freaking out about if your relationship was inappropriate and if he was a creep. Every time you meet him with reassurance, so much so that he doesn’t flinch anymore when people comment on it.
“Reid?” You fact check with the genius.
He doesn’t even need a second to think about it. “Closer to your age by a few months.” He reports.
“I’m just saying, respect.” Rossi offers him a fist bump. Aaron fist bumps him hesitantly, not sure what he’s actually done. He’s still confused about how he managed to get you to go out with him, much less fall in love with him. Whatever it is, he’s more and more grateful each day.
“I’m sure you’ve dated people with a much bigger age gap than us.” You remind Rossi. There’s enough rumors that you’re inclined to believe them.
“Dated? No. Slept with? Yes.” He says.
You turn back to look at Aaron with a smirk before speaking a comment that makes him shake his head while everyone else hoots with laughter. “Well he gets to do both.”

Before The Last Petal Falls (Part 5)
Pairing: Rafe Cameron x Reader
Warnings: Spoilers for The Inheritance Games series, mention of drug use, swearing and toxic relationship features.
Pronouns: She/Her
Word Count: 2.3K
Summary: Y/N thinks her one is someone entirely different than who she thought and Rafe can't seem to not argue with his supposed love.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“She should’ve ended up with Grayson,” Cole insists, painting Y/N’s nail the sage green she picked out. Y/N shakes her head, needing to have her hand steadied by Cole, “Nooo, Cole. Come on. For one, Grayson is in serious need of some healing time after Emily. And for two, Jameson is just so much hotter. He’s a badass.” Cole chuckles at her words and goes back to focusing on her nails. “I think I’m going to have to take offence to that because I am much more like Grayson than Jameson. Are you trying to tell me something?”
“Don’t worry, you have nothing to worry about. I think you’re a mixture of both. You have Grayson’s need to be the one to take care of people and Jameson’s hunger. You just are hungry for books, like me. It’s one of the reasons why I think we get along so well.”
“So you’re saying I’m the Jameson/Grayson to your Avery.”
“Maybe… Hey, why are you so good at painting nails? It’s not fair.”
“I have five younger sisters. They love mani-pedi night and I can’t say no to them.”
“That’s cute. I hope I can meet them one day. Mason would let me paint his nails but he never had the patience to wait for me to finish them or do mine. Ra- I always finished Rafe’s nails but he would run off with Mason before I could ask him to paint mine.”
“I would absolutely love for you to meet them. And it’s a shame that they never did your nails because I find that the ladies love it when their man does their nails.”
“Oh, and that’s who you are to me? My man?”
“Well, if you want me to be.”
“Yeah, I would really, really like it if you were.”
She leans down to his face, which is angled towards her nails, and gives him a kiss on his lips. He pauses what he is doing and starts to move his lips against hers. She takes her hands out of his, wrapping her arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. He pulls away from her, “As much as I loved that, can we wait for me to finish your nails and for them to dry? I know you are a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to your nails.” Y/N nods and unwraps her arms to check her nails. When she sees that they smudged a little, she gives a little pout. Cole shakes his head with a massive smile on his face, gently taking her hands into his, “Don’t fret. I have all the time in the world to fix your nails till they are as perfect as you want them to be.” He places another kiss on her lips before taking the nail polish remover into his hand and taking off the smudged polish.
Thirty minutes later, Cole finalizes Y/N's nails and they decide to have a movie night in the theatre room. After watching the whole How To Train Your Dragon series, Cole heads back to his hotel room and Y/N heads to hers. She goes to sleep that night with a massive smile on her face.
——
Mason comes into the kitchen and sees the massive smile his sister has on her face as she eats her cereal. “Given that Cole left pretty late last night and the big smile on your face, I am going to guess you had a good night with him,” Mason deduces, getting himself a bowl of cereal and sitting down beside his sister. Y/N looks at him with a dopey look, “It was a very good night. And don’t give me that face, it’s not for that reason you dirty-minded hog.” Mason laughs and shakes his head.  “Ew, I wasn’t thinking about my sister doing that stuff. Plus, I can see your nails are done so it gives me a pretty good idea of what you guys did last night.”
“Yeah, he painted my nails then we watched some movies. You know I value my nights at home like they are gold so it was a perfect date.”
“Oh, so it was a date, was it? You guys are official, now?”
“We are. I am no longer looking for a boyfriend. Can I be honest with you?”
“It’s what brothers are for.”
“When Rafe and I were dating, I thought that he was the one. That we were endgame. After we broke up, I still held on to that thought. I thought maybe sometime in the future, we would get back together and have our happily ever after. However, now that he is getting married and Cole and I are giving us another chance, I think I was so wrong.”
Mason gives his sister a spiritless smile, “What do you mean?”
“Well, I think that maybe I was wrong about Rafe and I being soulmates. I think I am meant to marry Cole.” This time, Mason drops his spoon so it clatters against the rim of the bowl. He didn’t want to get in between his sister and best friend; it was the whole reason why he didn’t keep them updated on each other. But hearing what his sister just said, he starts to panic at the thought that they weren’t going to get back together. Mason gives his full attention to his sister, “Maybe, but do you really think there isn’t any other chance of you and Rafe?”
“I mean, Mace, how could there be? He’s getting married and he also hasn’t even forgiven me yet. Honestly, I haven’t even forgiven myself yet. But I need to move on with my life. I can’t keep holding on to my high school sweetheart in hopes that something happens.”
“You’re right. I just think you shouldn’t remove the possibility of it until he actually walks down the aisle. You have until before the last petal falls from the flower girl’s hand to still be with him.’
“Um, okay. A little weird that you say that about your best friend’s engagement, but I know you just care.”
“I do. And he may be my best friend but a small part of me will always be team Y/N and Rafe. He’d be a pretty cool brother-in-law.”
——
The last person Y/N expects to run into at the bookstore is her ex-boyfriend, especially since she hasn’t thought about him in five years. Although, she really shouldn’t be surprised given that he wanted to be an author just as much as she did. Standing before her is Wilson Porter, an all-around horrible person and a terrible boyfriend. She is about to pretend she doesn’t see him and go back outside, but Wilson speaks up before she can. “Well, if it isn’t the best-selling author, who broke up with me.” She turns at him and gives him a glare, “And it’s the boy, who used me for a book offer.” He holds his hands up like he’s been caught. “Really thought you would be over it by now. How are you?”
“So are we really going to be faking pleasantries?”
“No, I guess not. It’s just the last that I heard, Rafe is getting married to a New Yorker turned OBX resident. Must be lonely all by yourself.”
“Actually, I’m dating a publisher, so it doesn’t bother me. But it must be lonely for you without any offers to publish your book.”
“Haha, very funny. But, in all seriousness, I just thought it was always going to be Rafe for you.”
“Why?”
Wilson gives her an Are you serious look? and motions for her to sit down on the bench. He sits beside her once she does, making sure to keep their distance. “Besides the fact that every guy on the island knew that Rafe was head of heels for you, I could see the way that you looked at him when we were dating. It was clear you guys had a bond that no one else could understand.”
“No, that’s wrong. Rafe would always be a jerk to me. How could he have been head over heels for me? And I never really paid attention to him until we started dating.”
“Oh, okay. If you want to be in denial, then fine. I’m just telling you what I felt during our relationship. I bet you that even if I did have true feelings for you, you would still be drawn to him.”
“You’re wrong,” she persists. She doesn’t want to listen to anything else he has to say, so she storms out of the store and towards Mason’s car that she is borrowing. She can’t get what he said out of her head. It reminds her too much of what Cole said to her in their first year of university after they went on a date. He had told her that he had a great time and that he really liked her, but he could see that her heart was in another place. That she was being drawn to someone else. It couldn’t be true. She couldn’t let it be true, at least not anymore. She has to move on. She is beginning to feel like that is her new mantra.
——
Rafe Cameron begins to feel like he moved into Barry’s trailer. In the last week, he has spent most of his time after work at the dealer’s house, doing drugs to make himself feel better. Since she has come back home, everywhere he turns is a reminder of her. Right now is one of the rare occasions he decides to head back home for the night. He angrily gets into his room and doesn’t bother to greet his fiancée, who is waiting for him on their bed. “Look who finally came home,” she quips with her arms crossed over her chest and a serious look on her face. Rafe jerks his head back and forward with an annoyed look on his face, “You’re angry when I’m not home. You’re angry when I am home. I don’t know what you want from me.”
“Don’t start with me right now, Rafe. This is the first time you’ve been home in a week and like the third time we’ve talked… wait no argued is a much better word for what we’ve been doing.”
“I’m not the one picking fights and being an annoying ass bitch.”
“No, you do not get to talk to me that way. I don’t know what has gotten into you or what is bothering you, but I can’t take your change in behaviour. I’ve tried to give you time to cool down and to come to me when you are ready, but you don’t seem to want to do that. I don’t know what you want me to do.”
“I want you to let me live my life without your constant questioning on what I am doing. God, it’s like you’re trying to be my mother.”
“I’m sorry you don’t want me to care for you, but it’s what you signed up for when you let me into your life and asked me to marry you. You knew I was a bubbly and caring person.”
“Yeah, well, I underestimated how annoying you could be.”
“That’s enough. I’m not going to just stay here and be your perfect little fiancée while you are out and about being anything but my fiancé. I’m going to stay at a hotel. When you start to remember who you are, you can come get me.”
Rafe watches as Blythe packs her bags and leaves the room without waiting for him. He angrily slams his hands down on his desk then rubs his face with them. Wheezie’s knock on his door snaps him out of his anger. “I heard your argument with Blythe again. I know you’ve been going out to get high,” she says calmly, walking into his room and sitting on his bed. Over the last five years, Wheezie has become the only person other than Y/N that he lets have a true look into what he is feeling. “Have you been doing drugs because Y/N is back?” He sighs and sits beside her on the bed. She brings his head to rest on her shoulder to try to comfort him.
“I just want to stop thinking about her. I want to stop seeing her having the time of her life on a date with someone who isn’t mean.”
“Is that why you punched holes in the walls? Did you do it while you were high?”
“Yes and no. I was high when I made the holes and it was partially because I saw her on the date. I mean it was the reason why I got high in the first place. But I also got angry because she caught me doing drugs at Kelce’s party. She was so angry at first and then all of a sudden she was worried about me. It was like she could see into my soul and she shouldn’t be allowed to do that anymore. She doesn’t care about me.”
“That’s not true you know, she still does, Rafe. I can see it in her eyes. She isn’t the type of person to stop caring and you know it. You just keep saying it because it hurts you more that she still cares but broke up with you anyway. And it’s okay to be hurt by that, but you can’t keep getting into arguments with Blythe because of her and you probably shouldn’t be marrying Blythe either.”
“You’re probably right. And I thought I was the oldest. When did you get so wise?”
“It must come with my driving abilities. Plus, I like to talk to a certain bookworm, who also happens to be wise.”
For once in weeks, Rafe let himself give a genuine happy laugh at the mention of Y/N and it felt good. Now, he just needs to figure out how he is going to fix his life so he always feels this good.

This is such a cliché but I'm a slut for clichés
Spencer Reid x Reader
WARNINGS ! ~ Fluff | Little violence |
Tumblr media
Everybody was born with a tattoo. You've probably heard about it. A tattoo that your soulmate shares.
You? When you were younger you loved the idea of soulmates. Always wondering what yours would look like, act like, talk like.
And as you entered your teen years and some of your friends started finding their soulmates, you started looking for somebody with the same tattoo as yours as well.
your tattoo? A cup of coffee.
You didn't even like coffee that much and almost everybody that saw your tattoo laughed at it.
It wasn't like it was a bad tattoo, it was kind of cool. But you were basically forced to hate it from the amount of people that pointed and laughed when they saw the tattoo adorning your collar bone.
You started wearing bandages to cover it up, you didn't like that. So you resorted to wearing jumpers and any clothing that would definitely cover it instead.
Nearly your entire life your mother had told you not to be embarrassed about it. But that was easy for her to say, she had a primrose on the back of her hand.
People always described touching your soulmate for the first time, to almost be painful, which was strange. Your friend, Doreen told you that it felt like getting zapped but all over your tattoo.
Yeah, maybe you didn't want to find your soulmate.
But we can stop talking about soulmates for now. It was your first day at the BAU, something you had been working towards for ages.
You had gotten lucky to have had David Rossi lecturing your criminology classes as he had taken a liking to you and when you were fresh out of college, you had an email from him telling you that he had spoken to his superiors at the BAU and wanted you on the team !
You couldn't believe it, this couldn't be real. 24 years old and you were going to be working somewhere so prestige
Oh but it was, as you walked into the elevator you were met with Rossi already waiting for you.
'Well if it isn't Y/N L/N'
'Hi Mr Rossi, thank you so much for this opportunity'
'No need for the Mr now kid, Rossi is just fine, we're colleagues now'
You smiled to yourself, fidgeting with the collar of your turtle neck.
As the elevator was rising, your nervousness was rising as well. What if the team didn't like you? Rossi had told you about them already, giving a brief description
A kid, around your age but with many more academic achievements than you
A badass dark haired woman who didn't take shit from anybody
A handsome guy who flirted with a computer nerd?
A computer nerd who's career started by getting on the FBI's most dangerous hackers list
A blonde woman who caught everybody's eye
And a tall serious man as the unit chief.
Yeah, you were nervous.
The elevator dinged and you took your hand off your turtle neck, the doors opened and you were greeted with a blonde woman who looked too happy for 8:30am
'Oh my god you're the newbie! I'm Penelope, oh my goodness you're so pretty!'
'Oh-um thank you! I love your dress'
'Calm down Garcia, don't want to scare her away on her first day' said a tall dark haired man. He shook your hand introducing himself as Hotch.
As you walked into the office you saw a dark haired woman, another blonde, and another man.
'baby girl!' he called out, Penelope speed walked over and the man wrapped an arm around her waist. You noticed the matching brain tattoos on their forearm.
Oh
You introduced yourself learning the names of them all, Emily, JJ, and Derek. They all seemed nice enough but they would not stop talking about the other guy that works here that you'll 'absolutely love'
'We have a case' Hotch said from the briefing room.
We all walked into the room and the photos Garcia pulled up were less than pleasant.
You twirled the pen you had around your fingers, thinking about the case,
All blonde women, early to mid thirties, all had the same body type and all had their genitals mutilated.
'I think we're looking for a man, heartbroken, possibly divorced based on age, the wife may have left him?' you spoke not looking up from the case file.
You heard murmurs of agreement at your statement.
When you did look up from your case file you watched as a tall lanky shaggy haired man walked (ran) in.
He was unbelievably attractive. he had dark circles under his eyes that you could not take your eyes off. His face looked like it was sculpted by greek gods.
He looked around the table for a free seat, looking at you, his eyes widening. You looked away, not wanting to make it look like you were staring at him (although you were).
He sat across from you waving a little. You smiled slightly waving back before turning at the sound of Hotch's voice
'Wheels up in 30'
As you walked onto the jet you double checked you had everything you needed for the flight.
headphones
phone
blanket
book (specifically From Lukov with Love)
Sitting down in one of the comfortable chairs, you put in your headphones and pressed play on your favourite playlist. Opening your book.
After about an hour you set the book down to get a cup of coffee. ironic.
'I didn't get to introduce myself, I'm-uh I'm Spencer. Reid.' You turned your head to look at the handsome man you waved at earlier.
'Y/N L/N' you smiled putting out your hand,
'Sorry I have a thing about germs' he said looking down at your hand. You felt a bit awkward putting your hand back on the freshly poured coffee.
'I uh-saw you reading a book. What's it about?' he asked you, walking you back to your seat.
'oh its-uh it's about these two rival ice skaters and they have to compete in a skating tournament together'
'That's...vacuous'
he said scrunching his nose
'Vacuous? really? You couldn't have just said stupid?' you said taking a sip of your coffee looking at him, now in the seat across from you.
'It's formal'
'does it need to be formal?'
'I believe so'
'okay...so you're like a genius right?'
'yes'
'okay...how genius?'
He narrows his eyes at you. Not good.
'quite...genius' he says scrunching his nose again. you chuckled a bit at his hesitance.
mustn't get out much
The plane landed finally, getting onto the tarmac after an annoying two hours, and you still had a long day.
When you got to the chicago police department, you greeted whoever you had to greet because at this point you didn't care. You just wanted to spend more time with spencer.
You stared at the board showing all the evidence compiled. You banged your head against it sighing.
out of the corner of your eye you notice Spencer putting down a cup of coffee, one already in his hand. You turn around and he gestures towards the coffee on the table. you take it eyeing him skeptically.
this case was doing your head in. it had been a week.
you couldn't figure out who was committing these god awful murders and being around Spencer was not helping you focus.
'I figured it out' JJ said, you all turned your head towards her before she called Garcia.
The mans name was Jared Peters and he was 37, and his ex wife left him for another man.
You arrived at his home, guns drawn, Emily and yourself walking down the corridor of his home,
'shit'
'what is it L/N?'
'SHIT!'
You ran out of the house and around the back to where JJ was, and as she was turning the corner you could see Jared about to reach for JJ, she matched the victimology. (but younger)
You ran up behind him, alerting him and making him turn around, raising his knife towards you, you didn't react in time as he stabbed you in the side of your arm.
You cursed out loudly as JJ fought with Jared. You kicked under his feet, knife still in your arm, making you wince but successfully got him on the ground. You turned around to see Rossi, Spencer, and Emily.
you pulled the knife out of your arm, dropping it on the ground. Walking to the ambulance that was outside the house.
Sitting in the ambulance you smiled to yourself, what an eventful first case.
'Y/N, thank you seriously, I could've died if you didn't come to where I was' JJ said walking over to where you were seated.
'It's okay seriously, I'm just glad you weren't hurt' you said
After another two hour flight back to DC, your brain was fried. You had a bandage around your arm that was a bit too tight for comfort as you didn't get a wink of sleep on the plane.
As you were all walking on the tarmac you heard your name being called,
you turned around to see the handsome doctor you were acquainted with.
Turns out while in Chicago he had bought the book you were reading and read it on the flight back. You both argued about the book, about what should and shouldn't have been done and or said.
Walking back into the office, Penelope greeted all of you and gave you a tight hug
'Alright everyone, we have quite a bit of paperwork tomorrow so get some sleep' Hotch said yawning slightly.
The entire team groaned at even the thought of homework.
Then, something weird happened.
Spencer Reid, known germaphobe stuck his hand out to you.
You looked up at him, as did the team, he has never warmed up to somebody so fast.
you grinned and reached down to shake it
almost as soon as your hand touched his, you both retracted your hands reaching for your collarbones, both feeling the sharp zap.
You heard Penelope gasp and squeal
You looked back up at the doctor, pulling down the high cut shirt you were wearing to reveal the tattoo, Spencer unbuttoned his shirt slightly, revealing a matching tattoo.
both your eyes wide but smiling practically ear to ear, you giggled as Penelope yelled
'Celebratory drinks!' she yelled.
You and the team walked to the elevator, forget what you said about not wanting to meet your soulmate.

OH MY GOD THIS WAS SO BAD
I would like to apologise for this atrocity, I would like to open up requests again because I could seriously only think of this shitshow for Spencer Reid and he does not deserve it

I'd Better Ask Emily
Request from anon: Hear me out😅 Spencer Reid x daughter!reader where the reader is a lesbian but is to scared to tell Spencer and Spencer someone find out by accidentally reading her diary or something?
Spencer Reid x daughter!reader
Summary: When Spencer goes looking for your school notebook and accidentally reads your diary instead he goes to the BAU bisexual badass for help.
A/N: I really wanted to do this justice so there's angst and fluff and bisexual Emily Prentiss because she had more chemistry with women than any male love interest. I’m also a sucker for Reid and Prentiss friendship so there is a good chunk of it in here.
CW: reader is gay, Emily is bi, let’s be honest everyone on the team is a little fruity, suggestions that Emily wasn’t supported, coming out of the closet, reader goes to social justice march.
---
“And my math homework is on the table for you to check over!” It was a Friday morning and you were in a rush to get out the door. There was a social justice march beginning at the national mall in half an hour and your AP government teacher had convinced the principal to cancel classes so every student could participate. Plus you were getting extra credit.
“What about your reading summaries?” Your dad asked you. Spencer always proof-read your graded assignments, per your request. It helped to have his genius input, though sometimes you wondered if he went easy on you. Since you were a child, you’d never made a craft or drew a picture or wrote something that your dad didn’t love.
“In my notebook on my desk,” you said hastily. “Bye, love you!”
“Love you too. Don’t get-” The door slammed shut. Spencer sighed. “Arrested.”
He made his way to your room. For the most part you were tidy, but your desk was a mess. Colored pens and highlighters, loose leaf paper with to-do lists, a stack of books that was falling over onto the jumbled surface. Spencer began to sift through the clutter, fixing the stack of books, putting your writing utensils in a pile, looking around for your notebook- but of course you hadn’t clarified which notebook. By the time he was done sorting through the mess there were five of them total. He began to read through them, trying to identify which one you wrote your reading summaries in.
It was down to the last two. Spencer grabbed the next one in the stack and opened to a random page:
I’ve never been one for poetry, but I find myself wanting to write verses on how her eyes crinkle when she laughs and the way her hips sway as she walks.
That sounded English-y and promising. Spencer kept reading.
I imagine her skin is soft, like velveteen, and her hair like expensive silk. The smell of her perfume is that of vanilla and honey; it reminds me of summer.
The sound of her voice is like a siren’s music. When she calls my name I can’t help but get up from my spot in the cafeteria and-
Wait.
There weren’t cafeterias in the book you were reading for school.
Spencer read the passage back again and again. He couldn’t help himself- he flipped to the front page to start from the beginning and finished reading the entirety of your diary in two minutes. There were entries spanning over two years, but one thing stuck out to Spencer more than anything else:
You talked about girls.
You talked liking girls.
Of course the diary contained passages on other things, like the day you visited your dream school and a cute dog you had met at the park… but you were dreaming of cute girls. And you never told him.
Spencer closed the diary and put it on your desk. His only thought: I’d better ask Emily about this.
---
Emily added a small amount of creamer to her coffee and went to sit down at her desk, highly regretting that she’d put her paperwork until the last minute again. The stack of files on her desk was beginning to rival Hotch’s, and that was not a competition she wanted to win. She sat down at her desk and opened up a file, pen in hand ready to go when-
“Um, hey Emily. Can I ask you something?”
If it was anyone but Spencer, she probably would have told them to ask her during the lunch break she wasn’t going to take, but there was a hesitancy in his voice that made her stop. Emily knew she looked like she might bite someone if they bothered her- Morgan had already gotten a taste of her mood that morning- but Spencer never seemed to notice when her annoyance rose to the surface. If he was uncomfortable it was because he had his own problem. He needed her help.
And she needed his speed reading to get through all the files on her desk.
“Morning, Reid,” she said, her annoyance turning to concern. “Is everything okay?”
“Well, I- uh- I kind of saw something I shouldn’t have this morning and I wanted to ask you about it.” He rubbed his neck nervously.
Emily tried to keep a straight face as she thought of every embarrassing teenage incident captured on video or sin-to-win photograph that could possibly be out there for Spencer to come across.
“What is it?” Emily asked, her voice wavering ever so slightly.
“You like women romantically, right?”
Okay… that didn’t rule out embarrassing adolescent mistakes or weekends in Atlantic City.
“Yes.”
“Because I accidentally read (Y/N)’s diary this morning and she writes a lot about being attracted to girls but she hasn’t told me yet and-”
“You read your daughter’s diary?!” Emily wasn’t sure if she was more shocked that Reid would do such a thing, or relieved that her privacy was still intact. “Reid-”
“It was an accident!” he said. “I was looking for her reading summaries for school and she told me it was in the notebook on her desk and then I just saw it…”
Emily hoped the devastation on Spencer’s face was for the right reasons.
“Why wouldn’t she tell me?”
Yeah… it was for the right reasons.
Emily sighed, leaning her elbows on her desk. “I’m sure that you demonstrate your open-mindedness at home-”
“I do.”
“And I’m sure you tell (Y/N) that you love her no matter what-”
“All the time.”
“But that doesn’t make it any less scary.”
Spencer didn’t respond.
“Coming out isn’t easy. No matter how sure you are that you will be accepted there’s always a little bit of doubt. There’s always the fear that it’ll change the fundamental way a person loves you and that you’ll never treat them the same.” Emily pushed away memories- memories filled with pain and relief and anxiety and frustration. The only thing that eased the thoughts were that she knew you wouldn’t have to go through what she did; not with Spencer as your dad. “She’s probably feeling really afraid, even if she doesn’t show it.”
“How can I make it better?”
Spencer’s genuine love for you- a love that every child should get to experience- made Emily feel as though she was falling apart and being put back together again all at the same time.
“Just let her know you love her,” Emily said. “A little goes a long way.”
---
As you walked up to the door of the apartment you felt like you were floating on cloud nine; for two years you had been crushing on this girl you shared classes with. You knew she was openly and unapologetically gay- making it a point to post pictures of herself on social media with pride flags and holding hands with her now ex-girlfriend. They had broken up about eight months ago and ever since then you’d hope that she would notice you. For three months the two of you had hung out in group settings- getting to know one another with other people there as a buffer- but you’d gathered your courage today to ask her out on a date. And she said yes.
“So I guess the march was good?”
You were so distracted from the events of the day you hadn’t even noticed your dad was home.
“Oh, yeah,” you said, startled. “It was good. Really good. Lots of… social justice and things.” You cursed yourself for not having a better answer. You should have been good at faking feelings and answers by now, having been raised by a profiler. Even then, Spencer always saw right through you.
The high you were on came crashing down- your dad always saw right through you. There was no way you could go on a date, let alone your first date, without him catching on. Discomfort grappled with your stomach and anxiety bubbled in your chest. You tried to reach for the courage you had earlier, but it was gone.
“Hey, is everything okay?” Your dad walked over and put a gentle hand on your arm.
“Uh-” You swallowed. “Yeah- yeah, I’m fine.”
Your dad suddenly looked weary. It was the same look when he told you he was going to miss your tenth birthday because of a case, or when he got a call that your grandmother’s medication wasn’t working as well as they had hoped.
“(Y/N),” he started. “I love you. I really hope you know that. And I’m glad you had a good day.”
“I love you too, dad,” you said, waiting for him to break bad news. But it didn’t come. He just gave you his awkward tight-lipped smile before tucking your hair behind your ear and turning away.
There was something about the gesture and the words that called the courage back to you. Well, some of the courage.
“I’m going on a date,” you blurted. Spencer turned back to you. You tried to look for clues on his face or in his body language that would tell you what he was thinking or feeling, but you were too caught up in your own head to make sense of any of it. “I asked someone out on a date and they said yes.”
Your father smiled wide. “That’s great, honey! Is it anyone I know?”
“Oh- um-” Spencer didn’t know many of your friends in person, but he knew them from what you told him, and what Garcia could dig up on them. “Yeah. They’re in some of my classes.”
You waited for your dad to call you out on the vagueness of your language, but he didn’t. He only continued to smile and encourage you to go on- is it a study date or a real date? Real date. Weekend or after school? Weekend. Are you taking the metro or do you want him to drive you? Actually it was a walkable distance.
The more you talked, the more excited you got. You were still careful to control your language, but the bravery was beginning to grow. You thought about taking a deep breath, but you didn’t. Instead you just said, “And she’s a girl.”
The world stilled for just a moment- your heart which was beating fast with excitement was now racing with panic. Your stomach was in knots and you felt your hands begin to shake. “I’m gay, dad.”
Spencer placed a gentle hand over yours, stopping it from quivering. The look in his eyes couldn’t be described as happy, but it wasn’t sad. No… it was peace. It was content.
“I know,” he said.
“You- you do?” The weight began to lift off your shoulders, but it was replaced by a bit of shock.
“Yes.” Spencer smiled. “Next time you should clarify which of your notebooks you wrote your assignments in.” Both of you chuckled, and you felt your body unwind as tension left your muscles. “And if it’s any consolation, I think your poetry is great.”
You smiled. “You always love everything I write.”
Your dad pressed a kiss to your forehead. “Because I love you.”
There was no more tension now- no more fear and no more doubt- just you and your dad being excited about your first big crush and your first big date. And it didn’t matter that it was with a girl. Spencer would always love you no matter what.
"So," he said. "What are you going to wear?"
You thought about the clothes you had, but none of your outfits seemed just right.
"I think I might go shopping for something new," you said.
Spencer smiled. You had a shopping buddy- the same one since you were little.
"So I guess I'd better ask Emily."
