do you know where the quote 'i am not good but i could be' is from? idk if it's that exactly but it's pretty close, but it's too vague for google searching to help. sorry to bother!
Okay, the first thing that comes to mind is the above, which is a word out, and is by Emily Palermo. It's from her poem What I Could Never Confess Without Some Bravado. If this isn't what you were looking for, lmk and I'll have another hunt, but as you weren't sure if you'd remembered the quote exactly, and the only difference between this and your recollection is the word 'good' being used instead of beautiful, it's probably this :)
