Portrait of Emiliana Concha de Ossa (1901). Giovanni Boldini (Italian, 1842-1931). Pastel.
Emiliana grew up in Paris, where she received extensive training, showing great interest in art and learning various languages. Her first drawing lessons were received from Giovanni Boldini, of whom she became his favorite model and muse. Boldini made more than six paintings and dozens of sketches on her.
