Two halves of a man are laid

unity (they were never whole

to begin with, but sharper

sweet from their ambisinistrous

Embolden Broken Record IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. A solid lighter-bodied IPA with some nice tropical fruit, herbal qualities, and orange citrus behind it. Nice hop profile and a very light body that has a slight touch of grain sweetness to it and moderate bitterness.

do you know if demanding a ceasfire is within ICJ means? i'm not trying to like, idk, defend them or anything, i'm just genuinely curious if they could have actually demanded that, and failed to do so, or if that was never going to be an option

literally speaking? yes, of course it was possible for the ICJ to demand a ceasefire. The South African legal team put up a truly bulletproof case - they would not have asked for a ceasefire if it was not an actual option. Practically speaking? Calling for a ceasefire would've opened up the ICJ to a lot of flack from all the fanatics still moaning about Israel's "right to defend itself". By asking Israel to simply assure protections for Palestinian civilians (which nobody could contest without outwardly seeming like a psychopath), they're trying to walk a safer path.

In doing so however, they've assured that for the next month, Palestinians will most likely undergo the worst barrage of bombing and attacks yet, until Israel has to report back to the ICJ (if they decide to).

Embolden Distorted Reality Red IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Been a while since I had a red IPA, and this is quite well done -- there’s a decent amount of caramel malt and malt sweetness behind a relatively aggressive fruity & piney hop profile. Quite bitter in the finish, and the body is relatively light.

Thinking about how being a girl is just being constantly aware of all the ways you could be harassed. Oh, a car passing by. Hopefully it's not filled with men who want to shout something at me. Oh a group of teen boys walking by me while I'm by myself. I sure hope they leave me alone. Oh, look, a construction crew. Better not go that way. Oh I want to go to a bar? Better not leave my drink unattended. In fact, it's better not to take a drink from someone at all. Even the bartender. Oh, I want to go for a walk but it's starting to get dark? Probably a better idea to stay inside.

It's any wonder more of us don't go crazy.

Me, praying: if I’m being called by a deity, I’m so sorry but I have a long history of being oblivious/in denial. I’m inviting you to be as bold as you have to be to get my attention.

This bird showing up on my path to campus:

Me: wow I’ve never seen that type of bird before, usually birds this big don’t show up in the city streets unless they’re those ducks at the park.

Also me: I know I just asked for signs, but this probably doesn’t mean anything, I’ll hold off blogging about it too. (I’d started drafting a post about it potentially being a sign, but ended up deleting it.)

I get to where I’m heading and-

Me: someone was probably feeding them. Its funny that they’re all gathered there though.

And then on the walk back

My friend has informed me that these are juvenile southern black backed gulls, also called kelp gulls. Apparently they’re considered pests, so ofc I adore them unconditionally.

One of my favorite things about the 1941 date was how unnecessary it all was. The stakes were completely made up. Oh, Mrs. H is ticked at Crowley and her magician can't perform? That's not a real problem. Aziraphale and Crowley are just making up excuses to keep hanging out. They're just showing off for each other and hyping each other up. And it's so cute.

Can you imagine, once they really sort through their issues and understand how deeply they love and are loved back... with the adrenalin of saving the world together and the high of knowing without a doubt that their love is reciprocated.... just how ridiculously they'll be showing off for each other? Like the fate of humanity is in their hands and everything's on fire but also their husband is watching and cheering them on.

These ineffable idiots are going to be so emboldened by love and I can't wait to see what dramatic stupid things they do to impress each other.

I love the Eddie Munson tiktoks, they're my bedtime story before bed every night 🥰 I love that they're still so gross and madly in love after all this time. I was trying to think of a way to ask about Eddie accidentally talking about their sex life occasionally on live, and now I'm imagining Eddie trying to make a spicy tiktok and Steve just laughing his ass off

There’s no ‘accidentally’ about it.

Eddie has talked about sex casually on his channel multiple times because he’s in love with his husband, thinks Steve is hot as hell, and doesn’t think before he talks. They are still grossly affectionate and it’s all over Eddie’s videos.

There are Tiktoks where Eddie is just talking about something and Steve will kiss him on the cheek. There’s a live-stream where Eddie stopped mid-sentence just to kiss Steve. There’s videos filmed where he is draped over Steve or Steve is draped over him, videos of them slapping the other on the ass, or saying that the other looks sexy today.

Someone asks how Eddie keeps the spark in their marriage, and Eddie is just like, “With charm, with grace, with a mysteriously sexy alure and- Did you just laugh? Steve, are you fucking laughing?”

“No,” Steve replies, definitely laughing. “I just – I just wouldn’t put Eddie Munson together with grace – or mysterious.”

“You don’t think I’m mysterious?” Eddie asks. “I was – I was once wanted for murder.”

“You were hiding in a boat house eating dry cereal,” Steve is fully laughing now. “You’re actually very bold and loud about what you want, babe. Not mysterious.”

“I’m still charming.”

“Eh.”

“I am! I will charm your pants off, literally. This week. Just you wait.”

Cue montage of Eddie going about it in the dorkiest way possible. Highlights include: pick up lines (“Are those space pants because that ass looks like it could fight an alien with a baseball bat and win.” “…They were not aliens!” *bickering ensues*), breaking into Steve’s classroom to decorate it with flowers, bringing him lunch every day dressed as a different 80s romcom character, playing music on a radio outside of their own house, new lube, and using their joint calendar to flirt with Steve.

Eddie posts a Tiktok at like nine pm. Steve’s asleep. Eddie’s hair is a mess and he’s slightly sweaty, and he’s just like, “Charmed him” *thumbs up*
