Usually when I edit my screenshots to make them nice to look at, I most of the time make the color pop more and then more warm toned. Though I need to be careful when Akva is involved, cause sometime it makes her look orange and on top of that, she has green hair so she ends up looking like a Oompa-Loompa.

This made me realize how few dudes i have lol. tbf this is mostly characters i have alts of so it doesnt include some that i rp or are important to the others.

Laelius is nb but leans more towards dude & passes as one generally. Keten is basically right in the middle but doesnt really know/care abt pronouns so most characters ICly refer to them as she. I use 'they' oocly to indicate they're not actually a woman tho.

Enzel (the character's) gender is 'nah', wheras Enzel (me the creator's) gender is more like Keten's. It's a bit of a long story but i used to have a lot of trouble making custom protags in games bc i had this idea you were supposed to make a self-insert and it made me uncomfortable. (Personal hangup and not a judgment on anyone else there.) So i made a sort of 'default' character for that purpose and also started using their name as an internet handle since I wanted a new one. I'm just used to it by now, but aside from the gender thing i don't think the character resembles me that much, lol. (Imry is closer to a self-insert personality wise but i'd say I'm more like a mix of her and Raiya than anything, hah.)

So Enzel (the character) has quite a few incarnations. (Radiant Mythology, KHUX, etc.) (There's also an original story I'm working on thats sort of a reverse isekai where an MMO NPC becomes a sentient person that starts acting like a player character.) Their FFXIV version is based on an idea i had ages ago for a narrative called Wizard Apprentice. Ragna is also from that story, though I hadn't come up with a name for her until i made her in FFXIV. I may or may not change it (since i just went with "lore compliant Highlander")

All the other characters were made specifically for FFXIV, with the exception of Nennali and Tache, who were old OCs of mine that i adapted to the lore. Also Imry Crewe, who Imry Ceigwardwyn's parents named her after, was a character from a story I started with a friend way back in middle school about pirates. (Melchior & most of Weinblyss's old crew are also from that story. Though originally he was Imry's surrogate older brother instead, and in FFXIV verse they never met.)

Yes!

Lace Haven Moreau, born on October 28th, 1959. They have a twin sister named Coralie and a younger brother named Elouan (born March 9, 1964).

They’re genderfluid and mainly go by Haven, but prefer to go by Lace on very feminine days. (Coralie used Obliviate to remove Haven’s deadname and assigned gender from their family and friends’ memory the moment she turned 17.)

Haven is the first Seer and the first Squib in the Moreau family. (They’re a descendant of Allegra Felicita Acerbi, Amadeo’s sister, but their family has long since forgotten about their non-magical roots.)

Their most significant quirk is that they never wear matching socks. Before they were confirmed a Squib, their parents were sure that their first act of accidental magic would be related to mismatched socks.

Although Haven and Coralie spent much time apart, due to Coralie being away at Hogwarts and Haven being homeschooled, they are very close. They exchanged almost daily letters. Coralie was the first to know that Haven didn’t feel like one gender, and the first to start calling them Haven.

Before Elouan started school, he was as stuck to Haven’s side. They never got as close as Haven and Coralie, but they’re still very close. Elouan is always excited to tell Haven about everything magical, and Haven can usually give a new perspective on things.

Having no magic of their own to use, Haven instead took up creating things. As the Muggleborn tutor that their parents hired for them could only teach them so much, having only completed up to Key Stage 2 of Muggle schooling, most of Haven’s time was spent learning different art forms. They especially enjoy woodcarving. They might have carved details into Coralie and Elouan’s wands.

Unlike Coralie and Elouan, Haven knows French fluently. Their siblings know enough to hold a conversation with their French relatives.

By the time Haven turns 20, they’ve started to feel lost with their life. Especially as there’s an ongoing war. Being a Squib, their family doesn’t even want to allow them out by themself.

Haven sneaks out into the Muggle part of the town on Elouan’s 17th birthday (March 9, 1981). With the ongoing war, Elouan has stayed home to finish his education with a tutor, so he’s home for his birthday.

While out, they run into Amadeo. Their eyes meet and suddenly Amadeo is leading them towards a nearby park, asking questions about their family. (He recognised Haven’s eyes as Allegra’s.)

And Amadeo can be very easy to talk to so Haven rambles for a while about how they feel and how they feel stuck in their family home and how they want to move out but they don’t know where they belong. They talk for hours. Neither really know at what point magic became a part of the conversation. By the end, Haven has an open invitation to Amadeo’s home. Their conversation simmers off as Coralie shows up, having been looking for Haven.

Haven and Coralie has a moment, and it ends with Haven following Amadeo home. Coralie helps them move into Amadeo’s home during the following couple of months.

Amadeo and Haven travel to New York together in August and come home again with Nox, Amadeo’s adopted child.

Haven is still not sure what they want out of life, but they get into researching their family tree and the history of Seers. They also help with Nox, having some experience from when Elouan was a child. Not to mention that Regulus lives there and Philemon is basically living there so Haven has some interesting company.

There’s something about living with Amadeo that makes it feel like time works differently, so suddenly Nox is going to Hogwarts and even more suddenly Amadeo has got himself hired as the History of Magic professor. Haven doesn’t even remember saying yes to being his teacher’s assistant.

And at some point in the future Haven gets into a relationship with Lorcan d’Eath, the part-vampire singer who I imagine would have been a fan of the band that Amadeo had with Lethe Blishwick.

Pros & Cons of dating my characters...

Imry:

Pros: -likes giving gifts and compliments. -will keep track of all your favorite things for that purpose (foods etc). -very affectionate. -can and will probably pick you up (if you're ok w/ that) -will always do her best to try to cheer you up -loves kids Cons: -easily distractable. -does not understand flirting -will most likely forget your birthday and anniversary -on the road a lot, restless. Not the person to choose if you want to settle down -not terribly clever

Raiya:

Pros: -not unlike her sister, if she actually takes a liking to you she will take an interest in and catalogue your likes and dislikes. Cons: -workaholic. -easily distracted. -not very good at intuiting other people's emotions. -not overly affectionate. -her idea of making conversation is rambling about her latest project.(naybe this is a pro for some people)

Keten:

Pros: -will absolutely throw down with anyone who bothers or insults you without a second thought. (This...could easily be a con too lmfao) -very devoted. Cons: -fixates to an unhealthy degree. (EXTREMELY clingy) -emotionally volatile. -jumps to conclusions. -does not have much worldly experience or any idea how romance works.

Val:

Pros: -very cuddly and affectionate. -Likes to tease. -Switch. Cons: -bad choice if youre not down w being poly. He has at least 2 boyfriends already.

Faunh:

Pros: -very devoted. Cons: -self-conscious and indecisive. -Will second-guess your relationship a lot and need reassurance. -gets jealous easily

Elouan:

Pros: -very devoted. -Quietly supportive. Cons: -overly passive at times -unsure about showing affection.

Nergui:

Pros: -he's a hard worker & happy to take care of most domestic tasks. -Shows affection through work/gestures. -Will do your hair. Cons: -very few. He is easily intimidated.

Tsuki:

Pros: -there are none. Cons: -all of them.

Sivana:

Allergic to romance.

Aerling:

Will probably eventually backstab you.

Weinblyss

Pros: -if she genuinely likes you she is probably willing to kill for you. (is this a pro???) Cons: -she has no conscience & likes being the center of attention. -will unscrupulously dump someone if someone more interesting comes along.

Pyha:

Pros: -very vocal about her affection, loves to dote. -Will probably talk about how great you are to anyone who asks. Cons: -not many unless youre an introvert. -Can be a little obnoxious.

For April Fool's day tomorrow I almost made a fake chapter where it's revealed Rudi and Dawud are siblings and their respective dead dad is actually the same person but it was so obviously a joke I cringed myself into being unable to write it 💀

#i mean do i even need to explain why this plot twist wouldn't work #like we straight up know who Dawud's dad is it has never been a mystery #and while we never saw Rudi's dad we do have some information about him #and we know the two men had a different nationality/religion/job/species/name like...#the only thing they have in common is they're dead and still they didn't died the same way or even the same year #Boris died in a plane crash in 2012 and Rashid of an aneurysm in 2009 #like unless Guadalupe had an affair with Rashid and Boris is not their actual dad it would straight up not be possible #or Farida/Boris and Rashid is not actually Dawud's dad #and even that is a stretch within the context of the story and not work well at all #it would just be drama for the sake of it #i think the only way this could even be foreshadowed is cause Rudi is from Germany and Dawud used to take german classes back in high schoo #elouan's rambling

On one hand, I could not care less about the new leaked pack. On the other hand, it seems to be vaguely Asian inspired instead of USA inspired world number 789076 and I've been waiting for a world to be based on literally anywhere else on the planet for ages.

update: it's based on Thailand apparently.

Elouan where the hell have you been loca?

A bad place. I found out I have OCD which destroyed my last hope of becoming a pilot. This is not that surprising (like my health anxiety was actually how it manifested itself at first) but god, I did not want this to be true. My life currently has no meaning and I stil l cannot find a job. Nothing feels appealing or make sense anymore. I don't intend on coming back to tumblr (or any other website so don't ask me for my username there) anytime soon. I'm trying to make my real life worth living. Sorry. That is all I will say.

i was messing around on this website the other day and decided to try making the roommates with like more realistic proportions but then i did the math (by which i mean i used a calculator on a website) anyway long story short Rudi wears a FUCKING H-CUP. like ok. they're just casually carrying around weapons of spinal destruction.
