“Come on sniffles, let’s get you into bed.” You purred as you unlocked the door to your apartment, holding the door open for Lizzie to enter first, “here, let me help you with that.”
You said as you took Lizzie's jacket and hung it up on one of the nearby hooks and she murmured a hoarse "thank you” in response. It was safe to say that your night had unfolded a little differently than expected. It was initially planned that you and Lizzie would enjoy a nice dinner at a neighbourhood restaurant and visit a few bars before turning in for the night. Overall, it was supposed to be a pretty enjoyable evening. The only less than enjoyable aspect was that it appeared Lizzie was getting sick. She'd tried desperately to sit through the meal, not wanting your plans to be ruined, but it was difficult to keep her secret when she was sniffling practically every other second and her 'discreet' trips to the bathroom to go and blow her nose weren't very discreet at all.
“I'm sorry that we had to come home early.” Lizzie mumbled as you guided her inside and down the hall, to the bedroom. Her cheeks are flushed with the fever which is clearly running through her.
“No, no, don’t you worry about that sweetheart,” you said reassuringly as you ran your hand down her back, biting your lip nervously seeing the shiver it sent through her, “you don’t need to apologise for anything, you aren’t feeling well and that’s okay. A long night out wouldn’t be good for you sweetie, at least this way we can cuddle up and I can take care of you a little bit.”
You heard Lizzie give a quiet sigh of relief as she sat down onto the bed, running a finger down the around her nose as she blinks back tears of relief and gratitude, “I love you so much right now, I really appreciate you giving up your night to take care of me.”
“Sweetie, I'm not ‘giving up my night’, I want to be here to take care of you, all I care about is making you feel better, and I can do that by showering you with lots of love while you rest in bed, then so be it. I want to be right here with you.”
Lizzie's heart skips a beat. Despite her current physical predicament, she could feel her face and ears darken with a blush. That was the sweetest thing she'd heard all year. This was all a shock, but not an unpleasant one. She hadn't ever felt so taken care of before and that warm feeling of comfort only increased when you reached down into her drawers and pulled out her favourite pair of soft pyjamas.
As you finished helping her change, you made sure Lizzie is snuggly wrapped up before climbing into bed beside her, reaching out so you could run your hand through her hair, gently massaging her scalp in the way you knew she liked.
"That so feels amazing… but could you maybe cuddle me?" Her now slightly husky voice asked, her eyes looking deep into your own as you settle down beneath the covers.
“Of course I can.”

Burning up burnout
Pairings: Elizabeth Olsen X Daughter! Reader, Elizabeth Olsen X Sick! Reader
Summary: The biggest part of showing your mom that you’re responsible, is knowing when to stop and rest.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Being Elizabeth Olsen’s daughter is fun. I mean, it’s normal. You were a normal teenager, you went to school, had friends and were a good daughter. You hadn’t demonstrated any interest in acting yet. But your mom wouldn’t pressure you to it. She knew that being in the spotlight since a young age could affect your mental health. Lizzie was supportive of you and just wanted her little girl to be happy. And you just wanted her to be proud of you.
Turning off your alarm, you sighed. You went to sleep earlier yesterday, trying to sleep of a massive headache, but as you woke up you realized that you were feeling worse. Your head and body hurt, your throat was scratchy and you felt so cold. But you didn’t have time to be sick now. There were a billion of assignments that you needed to get done while also preparing for your finals. You also knew that your mom’s schedule was packed, and you didn’t wanted to disturb her job by being sick.
After getting dressed slowly, you went downstairs to have some breakfast with Lizzie. She always loved to have some mother-daughter time before the both of you started your routines.
“Good morning sweetie!” Lizzie called out for you, putting both of your plates on the table.
“Good morning mom.” You answered, trying to sound energetic.
“Did you sleep well?” She asked as you sat down beside her.
Before you could answer, the itchy feeling in your sinuses grew stronger. Prompting you to lean away from her to catch a series of sneezes in your elbow.
“Hhup’tshhiew! Hh’iishiew!”
“Bless you bubs.” She chuckled.
You both finished eating and went to grab your things before leaving. As you were zipping your backpack, your nose decided to make itself known again.
“Hh'ishiew! Hheh'tktoo! Hh-HuhS’CHIEW!” You sniffled slightly afterwards.
“Bless you, are you ok Y/N?” Your mom asked, her brows furrowed together.
“I’m fine mom!” You said, smiling at her.
“Don’t forget to take a hoodie, I don’t want you getting a cold.” She said, walking over to her room to get her car keys.
“Okay!” You answered, running over to your room to grab one of your hoodies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car ride to school was silent, usually, you’d love to chat with your mom, but today, your headache would not let you think straight, so you just leaned over the window and closed your eyes.
Lizzie glanced at you worriedly. Maybe you were just tired? She decided to let you relax for now, but she would definitely keep an eye on you.
“Sweetie, we’re here.” Lizzie announced as the car reached your school.
You barely had time to wake up properly when you felt the annoying tickle in your nose.
"Hh..heh'eetshew! Hh-heh’kitshee! whew! sorry about that!! love you mom bye!” You said quickly, not giving Lizzie any space to question about your sneezes.
“Bye baby…” She said as she watched you stifle three more sneezes while entering your school.
Sighing to herself, she followed her way to set. Afterall, you would always call her if you weren’t feeling well, right?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wrong. When your last class finally ended, you were feverish and had a huge headache from stifling several sneezes throughout the day. You couldn’t wait to finally go to your mom’s trailer and rest for a bit.
There was a slight problem. If your mom saw the state you were in, she would put you to bed rest and you wouldn’t be able to finish your assignments. On top of that, she would also leave work to take care of you, and you knew that she was going to have a busy week. You didn’t wanted to be a burden.
So, instead of going to set to wait for Lizzie on her trailer, you decided to head straight home, sending her a message so she wouldn’t get worried about you for not showing up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I’ll give you a dollar for your thoughts.” Scarlett said, noticing the way that her friend was quieter than usual. They were both on the common room, waiting to be called for the next scene.
“It’s nothing.” Lizzie sighed.
“It’s obviously not nothing, i’m not going to push you about it, but I want you to remember that I’m always here for you.” The older woman said, giving a reassuring squeeze on Elizabeth’s hand.
“I’m worried about Y/N, she was a little different this morning and she just texted me saying that she went straight home.” Your mom said, nervously.
“Do you think she’s upset?”
“Not at all, I think she’s getting sick…” Lizzie admitted.
“Did she complained to you about not feeling good?” Scarlett asked.
“No, but she didn’t sound or looked good. She’s so stubborn and won’t rest unless I force her too.”
“Hm, just like someone I know.” Scar said, bumping her shoulder lightly on Lizzie’s
They both giggled for a moment before Scarlett spoke up:
“You know what? we can try and get our scenes done a bit more quickly so you can check on Y/N.”
“Would you help me with this?” Lizzie asked, smiling hopefully at her castmate.
“Of course!! I love Y/N like my own kid! now let’s try and talk to our director.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“HhheH'tcHIEW!..Hh'ehttschoo!” You sneezed down on a tissue that you managed to quickly pull from the box.
You were halfway through your assignments. But the words on your laptop were blurry, your head was throbbing, and you couldn’t take a deep breath without hearing your lungs crackling.
Honestly, you really wanted to ask for your mom’s help. To feel her warm hug, to hear her soothing voice lulling you to sleep. But no. That would be admitting defeat. That would be selfish. You had to push through it.
Bringing you out of your thoughts, your mom entered your house, hanging her coat next to the door.
“Y/N? I’m home!!” She called out to you.
“Over here!” You called back, using your best “i’m-not-sick” voice.
Walking over to you, she didn’t expect to see you like this. There were several tissues around the table, all of your textbooks, your laptop and your notebooks, she almost couldn’t see you in the middle of that chaos.
“Hehae'ktieew! HHh’kktoo! Ugh ‘scuse me, how was work?” You asked.
“It was okay honey, are you okay?” She asked putting her hand on your forehead.
In your hazy state, you couldn’t escape from it.
“I’m just tired, thats all.”
“Your forehead is abit too warm for my liking, let me take your temperature please.” Lizzie said, walking to the kitchen to get the thermometer.
“No mom, please! I barely feel bad!” You managed to say before entering a painful sounding coughing fit.
“Sweetie, don’t lie to me, sometimes you forget that I made your brain inside my belly.” She said, brushing her hand through your hair. “May I take your temperature now?”
You nodded and she placed the thermometer in your mouth. The device beeped a few moments later and gave her the verdict. “39.1, that means bed rest for you young lady.”
“But mom! I’m just trying to get all this work done! I have no time to rest.” You said, tears filling your eyes as you spoke.
“Y/N, baby, I know you’re a tough girl, I’m really proud of you. But I’m just heartbroken by how sick you got, I want to take care of you.” She said, kissing your temples. “Now let’s get settled.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a nice shower, a cup of tea and a dose of NyQuill, you were finally laying in bed with your mother. She was mindlessly scrolling through her phone while you were trying to sleep besides her.
“Heh’xxt! Hih'hnnxgt! Hhxxxnt! H’tsssh! Hu’xxxnt!” You stifled a series of sneezes, prompting your mom to glance at you.
“Bless you sweetheart! you shouldn’t stifle…” Lizzie said while rubbing your back.
“I’m sorry…” You answered with a small voice.
“No baby, don’t apologize, I just don’t want your headache to get worse.”
“Not that, I’m sorry for being sick.” You said, looking at her with glassy eyes.
“Y/N, you don’t ever need to apologize for being sick. I’m your mom and you’re the most important person for me. I’m sorry you’re not feeling good, but I’ll be here with you the whole time.” Your mom reassured you.
“Can you just hold me?” You asked.
“Of course baby.” She said, snuggling closer to you. “For as long as you want me to.”

“Y/N!” She rushed over to my bedside and took my hand gingerly, bringing it up to her face and pressing it to her cheek. “What happened?”
“Some … asshole hit me.” The look of worry in her eyes made me wonder how badly I really looked. “I’m fine.”
“You’re not ‘fine’ - you got hit by a car!”
I flinched at her voice and she took notice, her gaze softening and her body attempting to relax.
“I’m sorry, it’s just …” I heard her sniffle and I looked up into her eyes, surprised to see them glossy with unshed tears. “This could’ve ended so much worse.”
“I know,” I squeezed her hand and she smiled slightly. “But, really, I’m okay. Just shaken up.”
“I’d like to give that asshole a piece of my mind.” Her attention began to shift and I squeezed her hand again.
“Hey, stay with me, Liz. The last thing we need is you going to jail for assault.”
She returned her attention to me and sighed, nodding in agreement. She grabbed the chair next to the bed and pulled it up beside me, sitting as close as she possibly could all the while still holding my hand.
“Nothing is even broken. I’m just bruised up.”
“And you’ve got one hell of a cut on your head.”
“Do I?” I reached up with my free hand and she took hold of it, shaking her head.
“Don’t touch it. It’s covered. The doctor told me about it when I came in.”
“Oh.” I sighed, looking down at our entwined hands. “Is my head okay?”
“Your thick noggin is fine.” She chuckled softly. “You’re gonna have a nasty headache if you don’t already.”
“I don’t feel much of anything if I’m being honest.”
“It’s adrenaline. But, once it wears off …”
“Yeah, I know; a one way ticket to painsville.”
She nodded slightly, her fingers rubbing circles on the back of my hand.
“The doctor said you should stay with someone while you’re healing.”
I opened my mouth to speak, but she gave me a look of taking no bullshit and my jaw snapped shut.
“I want you to stay with me for a while.”
“I can take care of myself.” I mumbled.
“I know that, but I want to take care of you. Just until the doctor says you’re better.”
“But, there’s nothing wrong with me.” I tried to sit up and was hit with dizzying nausea, which Lizzie took notice of right away. “Okay, maybe there is.”
“Lay back down.” She pushed me down gently and I laid down without complaint, sighing in defeat. “It’ll only be for a few days. A week tops.”
I looked up at her, knowing I wasn’t going to win this no matter how hard I fought. How bad could it be staying with my best friend for a week? My best friend that I was in love with.
“Okay.” I finally gave in.
She smiled, a lone tear sliding down her cheek from the corner of her eye.
“Don’t cry.” I whispered, feeling very helpless at the moment.
“I’m not crying.” She said, sniffling softly.
“Yeah, and I’m not in a hospital bed.” I tried to joke and she let out a tearful laugh, a few more strays slipping past her eyelashes. “I’m sorry.”
“I know,” she brushed her tears away and tried to smile. “You’re just being you, it’s okay. I’m glad you’re still feeling like yourself.”
“For now.”
“For now.” She agreed. “Let’s see what tomorrow brings.”
“Kill me.” I groaned as I lay in Lizzie’s bed, my whole body in the worst pain I’ve ever experienced.
“Yeah, I saw that coming.” She said as she entered the room with a glass of water and a bottle of pills.
She shook the bottle and I covered my ears, the noise too loud for my aching brain.
“Sorry. Here, take two.”
“Tylenol? Nothing stronger?”
“You don’t need anything stronger. You’re just being dramatic.”
“I was hit by a car.” I reminded her.
“Honey,” she placed the glass down and sat next to me on the bed. “I know you were hit by a car, but the doctor said two Tylenol every four to six hours. And we’re going to follow the doctor's orders.”
I grumbled under my breath and stuck out my hand. She tipped the bottle into my palm and let two fall out, closing and placing it next to the glass of water on the nightstand. I huffed as I took the glass, popping the pills in my mouth and washing it down with the water.
“Trust me,” she said as she sat next to me, brushing my hair out of my face gently so as to not disturb the cut on my head. “I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure you feel better.”
“Thanks, Lizzie.” I said softly, sadly tracing imaginary patterns in the bedsheet.
“Don’t look so glum. In a few days you’ll be able to do things normally and then you’ll be going home.”
“Yeah.” I couldn’t hide my disappointment. As much as I hadn’t wanted to become a burden on her, I enjoyed staying with her.
“You wanna watch something?”
I shook my head and she sighed, taking my hand. I pulled her hand into my lap and played with her fingers, letting my mind wander as she sat and kept me company.
“We don’t have to do anything.” She said softly and I looked up at her. “We can just hang out.”
“Yeah.” I gave her a crooked smile. “I’d like that.”
After the doctor had given me the okay to go back to my normal activities, I helped Lizzie out around the house, wanting to pull my weight. She refused at first, but I insisted, and finally she let me do the dishes and help out with dinner.
My head was much better, and the aching in my body was nearly gone. I just wanted things to go back to normal. At the same time, living a cutesy, domestic life with Lizzie was everything I dreamed it could be, and there was a selfish part of me that didn’t want this to end.
The longer I stayed with her, the more things changed around her house. I noticed that some flowers she had in the dining room were now sitting out on the balcony, the light in the hall was no longer put on, and the old, scratchy blanket was taken from my side of the couch and replaced with a soft, comfy one.
My side of the couch. I liked the sound of that. But, why had things been changing? These little things were almost unnoticeable, but I noticed because those things used to bother me before. I never would’ve said anything to Lizzie, but she seemed to pick up on my discomfort and acted on it. I couldn’t lie and say my heart didn’t swell with love for her at the thought.
“Hey, Lizzie?”
“Hm?” She hummed softly, her fingers lazily tangled in my hair.
“What happened to those flowers you had on the table?” I played dumb.
“I put them outside.”
“Why?”
“I noticed you didn’t like the smell. You’re very sensitive to smell, you know.”
I blinked a few times, trying to process what she said.
“And why don’t you use the light in the hallway any more?”
“It hurts your eyes.” She said as she played with my tousled locks.
“And -”
“Y/N.” She interrupted me, gently lifting my chin so I would look up at her. “You’re here with me, so I’m making your stay as comfortable as possible. I’m gonna change the lightbulb in the hallway so it’s not so harsh.”
“You don’t have to do that.” I mumbled softly and she smiled down at me.
“Of course I do. I want you to be happy here.”
“Thank you.” I snuggled closer to her and she pressed a kiss to the uninjured portion of my forehead.
“Of course. I love you.”
My heart stopped at her words and it was obvious she had realized what she said a little too late. You could cut the silence between us with a knife.
“Y/N …” she started and I spoke without thinking.
“I love you too.”
“Yeah?” She asked softly and I nodded, inching closer to her.
“Yeah.”
She leaned forward and brushed her lips against mine, gently at first, before growing bolder and letting her tongue clash with my own.
Oh, god, how I dreamt of this moment. She tasted like strawberries and vanilla and I couldn’t get enough of her. She pressed me into the couch and I let her take control of me, knowing for a fact that she wouldn’t do anything to hurt me.
“Is this okay?” She asked as her fingers played with the waistband of my pants. “We can wait if you’re not ready.”
“I’ve been ready since I met you. I’ve always been in love with you.”
She smiled down at me and I raised my hips towards her, letting her pull down my pants and panties in one fell swoop. She giggled against my lips as our tongues and teeth clumsily clashed, our eager kisses becoming sloppy as her hands explored my body.
“We’ll have to take it easy.” She whispered, a mischievous look in her eye. “Which means you’re going to lay back,” she bit her lip and smiled. “And enjoy yourself.”
I blinked at her, a smile creeping across my features as she slid down my body, pressing wet, open mouthed kisses to my belly as she made her way between my legs.
“You’re so pretty.” She whispered softly, her fingers parting my soaked folds so she could see every inch of me.
“Lizzie,” I whined, covering my face with my arm. “Stop it.”
“No,” she kissed me and I nearly saw stars. “You’re perfect.”
I removed my arm from my face and looked down at her, her golden locks splayed across my lower abdomen, her emerald eyes looking up at me from under her eyelashes as she sucked my clit into her eager mouth.
A slew of obscenities fell from my lips as her tongue slipped delicately inside of me, touching me in ways I never dreamed possible.
“Lizzie,” I moaned, running my fingers through her hair as she ate me out. “Oh, fuck, yeah, right there, Lizzie. Fuck.”
She brought her free hand up to meet mine, lacing our fingers together as her strong tongue continued to lap at my wetness. My hips raised towards her as the coil in my belly tightened, my legs beginning to shake as my orgasm quickly approached.
I let out a whimper, a soft sound, before crying out her name breathlessly, cumming all over her mouth and chin. She didn’t let a drop go to waste, her tongue licking and lips sucking as she cleaned up the mess I made.
“When you feel better,” she breathed, smiling up at me. “We can do so much more.”

Empyrean’s Advent: Day 6
Prompt: “Should I pick up some tissues on the way home?”

‿︵‿︵୨˚̣̣̣͙୧ - - ୨˚̣̣̣͙୧‿︵‿‿︵‿︵୨˚̣̣̣͙୧ - - ୨˚̣̣̣͙୧‿︵︵
You loved driving. It was one of the many things that brought you comfort, something about how the world flew by as you processed any thoughts whilst listening to music at any desirable volume brought you such enjoyment.
Especially when you were driving back home to see Lizzie, that was possibly one of your all time favourite feelings, you just couldn’t get enough of the warm excitement and anticipation it brought you.
You loved your job, however being an actor, it often meant working at less then desirable times of the year and filming the week leading up to Christmas was certainly less then ideal. Luckily you for you would be home the day of Christmas Eve, you’d even sweet talked you’ve director into letting you leave early that morning.So as you drove home at 8AM, the last thing you expected was a phone call from Lizzie.
“Goodmorning my love.” You pressed the small button on your steering wheel to answer and spoke in your usual cheery tone, “How’d you sleep baby?”
What came next was a symphony of sniffles and afew muffled sobs, “Hi baby.” Through the speakers cane the almost unrecognisable voice of your wife, her voice distorted by thick blatant congestion.
“Jesus Lizzie!” You exclaimed, the quality of her voice began to worry you, “Are you okay? You sound terrible.”
You heard the sound of Lizzie trying desperately to muffle of several sneezes on the other end of the line before she spoke, her voice was weaker this time, “How long till you get home?”
Looking down, you glanced at your GPS to check, “Just a couple of hours baby, I’ll be there soon.” You replied, trying your best to sound assuring but the following sound of wet sniffling only caused you to worry more, “Whats wrong sweetie?”
The following sounds of sobs made your heart break into pieces and you knew Lizzie had tears flowing down her cheeks, “Im really sick Y/N and everythings all woozy.” She began , the pace of her breathing rapidly increasing, “And tomorrows Christmas which means that if Im sick everythings going to be ruined and you’ve been working all week so you need to relax and you wont be able to do that and- and-“
“No.” You cut her off from her feverish rambles, the stern tone of your voice shocking her, “Baby, I need you to take some big deep breaths for me okay?”
You took big exaggerated inhales and exhales as you waited for Lizzie to do the same and eventually her cries grew quieter and quieter, “Good job sweetie, now listen here okay? Theres some NyQuil in the bathroom cupboard I think, can you get it for me sweetie?”
You sighed, she really did sound awful. Lizzie hardly got sick but when she did, it usually hit her pretty hard and you hated the fact that you weren’t there to be able to hold and comfort her, and judging by the sound of her voice alone it was obvious she’d been feeling ill long since before this morning.
The sound of shuffling echoed down the phone as you waited patiently, “I have it.” She eventually spoke before breaking off into a cough.
“Okay good, can you take some for me? I’ll be home as soon as I can, the medicine is gonna help you fall back asleep okay?
Lizzie sniffled, she set the phone down on the counter to pour herself a doze of the liquid. “I took it.” She answered a moment later, chasing the medicine down with some water.
“Good girl, now go and yourself back into bed, you’re in no condition to be up. I’ll be there for when you wake up.” You replied before asking, “Should I pick up some tissues on the way home too?”
Your wife mumbled something inaudible in response and you took it for meaning ‘yes’, you listened closely hearing the sounds of her climbing back into bed.
“You gonna be okay?”
“I’ll be okay, you’ll be here when I wake up?”
“Yes baby, I’ll be waiting for you when you wake up.”

Hey! Could you do one with Lizzie where we’re at a premiere or something and there’s flowers and it’s setting off her allergies?
Budding Review
Hey hey hey! This has been in my inbox for SOOOO long, sorry it took this long to do! Also I got like 6 new requests over the last day or so, so anything new may take a litte long to come out since I wanna get my older requests done first :D (also ignore the how bad the title is…. I was trying to make it flower related :p )
Summary: You and Lizzie are at the premiere for her latest movie, everythings fine until something starts to bother her nose.
Wordcount:850
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
“Wow these are beautiful, thank you!” Lizzie exclaimed with a bright beaming smile, as she was handed a beautiful bouquet of daisies by one of the hosts.
Yourself and Lizzie were currently attending a premiere for Liz’s next movie, she had a plus one so of course she had brought you along. You’d been to many premieres in your relationship with Lizzie however none had been as extravagant as this. There was a huge red carpet running through the centre leading into the screening room. The venue was packed with guests and celebrities, all anxious to see the much-hyped movie.
“You excited?” You nudged her lightly, taking her hand, as both of you waved your goodbyes to waiting crowd and made your way inside the screening room. The film wasn’t due to start for another 10 minutes but you wanted time to get yourselves settled.
“Yeah, hopefully everybody else enjoys it.” Lizzie chipped back. You were still holding her hand as you sat down but after afew seconds you felt her suddenly pull away, “Hh..H’iiishiew!”
Lizzie ducked her head into her hand as she sneezed, politely excusing herself afterwards. You were just about to bless her when she had to frantically duck her head into her elbow to catch another sneeze which seemed to have snuck up on her.
“You feeling okay?” You frowned, reaching over to cup her cheek, however your worry settled feeling no unusual heat coming from her.
“I feel fine.” She spoke quietly as more people began to fill the surrounding seats, “My nose is just itching like crazy.” As if to exaggerate her point Lizzie’s nose began to twitch again, “Hiii’tshshh! Hhhih…H’iiihsshiew!”
Lizzie blushed as a mumble of blessings came from those around you. You reached out to retake her hand. he smiled as she felt you begin to trace small circles with your thumb along her skin.
It wasn’t long before the movie began. The screening room grew silent and everybody fixed their attention on the big screen. The opening scenes were great, you couldn’t believe the talent of Lizzie and her co-stars.
Everything was fine for about 30 minutes when something out of the corner of your eye caught your attention. Lizzie was scrubbing at her nose, trying desperately to be discreet about it, you also noticed how her chest was rising and falling rather rapidly.
“Liz?” You whispered, not wanting to draw any unwanted attention, “You alright?”
“I-“ Lizzie wasn’t able to get another word out before she was sent forward from the force of stifling her oncoming sneezes, “HHh'GNXxT!..H’Tssh'GHTT! Hh..H’Ngh'KXT!”
“Poor sweetie, bless you.” You sighed, keeping your voice low, “Whats making you sneeze so much, huh?”
Then you saw it. The bouquet of daises sitting on her lap. It was in that moment a faint memory resurfaced itself in your mind. Lizzie had previously told you that she was allergic to certain types of flowers and as she bent forward stifling another painful sounding sneeze into near silence you came to the conclusion that it was definitely the bouquet which was setting her off.
“I think these flowers are bothering your nose sweetheart.” You hushed, carefully moving the flowers off her lap, trying to avoid crinkling the paper they were wrapped in. You laid them on the floor infront of you, trying to edge them away from her.
Lizzie sniffed, feeling her nose begin to run, “Thanks. Sorry, I should’ve realised earlier” Lizzie sighed as she rubbed her temples, trying to fight off her oncoming headache.
Throughout the rest of the premiere, Lizzie was forced to stifle each painful sneeze, never able to gain any actual relief. By the time the movie had ended, she was exhausted. As light flooded the room you saw that her eyes had grown slightly puffy and her nose was visibly irritated.
It was obvious all she wanted to do right now was go home. But she had an important gathering to attend with the critics to review their view and opinions of the movie. Plus, there was a company after-party too. It was almost a guarantee that both of you wouldn’t be home by midnight. You heard Lizzie sigh, she must’ve realised it too.
“God I’m so stuffed up right now.” She spoke through a congested voice as the room began to grow loud with chatter, “Hh...He’hhtshoo! Ugh, Sorry.”
“Aw darling, bless you. I’m pretty sure I have some allergy medicine in the car.” You cooed, wanting to somehow comfort your poor allergenic wife, “You go and get ready for your meeting sweetie, I’ll be waiting for you when you’re out.”
You kissed her goodbye as you both set off in different directions. It didn’t take long for you to reach the car and luckily there was a small packet of hayfever relief tablets in the glove compartment, there were also afew small travel sized tissue packs so you grabbed one of those for her too. All you had to do now was wait for Lizzie to be finished in her meeting to give her the tablets. Maybe the night wouldn’t actually be so bad afterall...

sick reader and elizabeth on christmas using the prompts “I told you to wear a coat.” and “How about we grab a blanket, snuggle and watch some cheesy Christmas movies?”
I Told You So
Hello hello, well my first attempt at the drabble was lost due to my inability to press ‘save’. So it got rewritten, I think I like this version better though :) Enjoy
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
A familiar click of the lock was all that signalled your arrival home. Hearing this Lizzie came rushing from her office to the main door, gasping as she saw the puddle of water forming on the floor around your sodden feet.
“Oh honey.” She sighed, pulling the wet hoodie over your head. She let it fall on the ground before wrapping the warm woollen cardigan, which she had been wearing, around your shoulders, “I told you to wear a coat.”
That was true. Two days prior, you were about to leave for your final few days of filming before you would be officially on break. Lizzie had finished all her scenes afew days before so it wouldn’t be long before you would be able to spend a long cozy Christmas with her, not having to worry about work.
Just before you left, Lizzie had reminded you to take a coat but you had shrugged it off, insisting that a hoodie would suffice. Well, unfortunately for you, shortly after arriving on set, the once clear weather had taken a sudden change for the worst, a downpour of cold rain lashed down upon you. It didn’t help that your character wore thin clothes plus the fact that most of your scenes had to be shot outside but still, filming took priority, it was your job after all.
Now Lizzie knew you would come down with something. She had heard it in your voice after you’d called her on the first night, plus you always did after getting stuck in such horrendous weather. Which is why when you stood shivering just inside of the door, eyes tired and glassy accompanied by a nose red, she knew you were in for a rough few days.
Deep down you knew it too, which is why you didn’t put up a fight when Lizzie wrapped a comforting arm around your waist and waked you over the sofa, sitting down first before sliding you into her lap.
“Am I allowed to say, I told you so?” She joked lightheartedly, trying to brighten your mood as you sunk into her warmth.
“No, you are not.” You whined but still you were unable to hide the hint of a smile which danced across your lips, “I missed you.”
“I missed you too Y/N.” She pulled you closer, not even flinching nor caring when you stifled two sneezes against her shoulder, to be honest, you’d tried to turn away from her but the tight hold she had on you made it hard to manoeuvre yourself quickly.
Words began to spill out of you mouth as you tried to put together an apology. But Lizzie only brought a finger to your lips, sliding you off her lap and onto the sofa as she got up.
“You don’t need to apologise, you’re sick, you cant help it. I am gonna get you some tissues though.” She said, bending down to give you a long, soft reassuring kiss before saying, “And when I get back, how about we grab a blanket, snuggle and watch some cheesy Christmas movies?”
Lizzie scooted out of the room, you weren’t sure that she’d even be able to hear you with but you still couldn’t help but smile and mumble, “That would be amazing.”

Premiere Problems
This is just a little drabble I thought of after watching the premiere of MoM. Enjoy ;)
Lets not mention the amount of spelling/grammar errors in this. I haven’t checked this at all :p
(Btw Im still doing requests so keep sending those in!) ((ALSO my DM’s are working again!))
Summary: You and Lizzie are at the premiere of your new movie but it seems that somebody seems to be feeling a little less then well.
Wordcount:819
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
“Ready sweetie?” Lizzie asked you as she took your hand in her own, smiling brightly with excitement.
“Ready.” You replied, trying your best to match her energy.
You are lizzie were currently at the world premiere for the new movie which you both starred in. It had taken a lot of hard work to get this movie ready but it was going to be well worth the effort. The world seemed to count down the days leading up to the premiere, everybody anxiously waiting for the official release.
There was a slight problem though. That morning you had woken up with a sore throat and a slight runny nose. Lizzie had quickly caught on to your slight discomfort but you brushed off her concerns, blaming your symptoms on “allergies” despite the fact it was that it was almost December. You continued to assure you her were fine throughout the day as you stifled numerous sniffles and sneezes. But you did admit it was becoming increasingly harder and harder to pass of your symptoms as allergies as the ache behind your eyes increased as the hours draped by.
Quickly scrubbing at your nose with your spare hand, you had successfully managed to stave off another small tickle. It was then that both you and Lizzie were given the cue to go out and make your way down the red carpet.
There was a loud cheer of voices as the pair of you stepped out onto the carpet. It took your eyes a moment to adjust to the hundreds of flashing cameras and lights. The enthusiastic roaring of the crowd was giving you an adrenaline boost, but the bright light from all of the cameras seemed to have irritated your senses, the small tickle from earlier returning with a fiery vengeance. Luckily you had just enough time to duck your head into your elbow before sneezing twice.
“Hh.huh-tsoo! Hh-h’tichiew! Whew, excuse me!”
Lizzie turned to look at you, placing a soft kiss on your cheek as she murmured, “Bless you beautiful, allergies still acting up?” She asked, a hint of worry present in her tone.
“I’ll be okay, we just need to- Hh.. hHeh’ESCHIEW!” You weren’t given much warning as you sneezed a third time, rather loudly too. You felt your face burn red as blushed, hearing the rippled of ‘bless you’s’ come from the surrounding media.
You felt the soft pull of Liz’s hand and you followed her as she lead you behind one of the huge posters, blocking you from the public view.
“Your not okay, are you?” She asked rhetorically, “You only sneeze like that when-“ The realisation hit her and she instantly raised her palm to your forehead, gasping slightly as she felt the clamminess beneath it, “Oh darling.” She mumbled as you leant into her soothing touch.
“The press is going to have a field day with this…” You muttered, unable to mask the tiredness in your voice, sighing as you moved your head away from your girlfriend to muffle a damp cough into your upper-arm.
Lizzie took a deep breath. As much as she wanted to help you, there wasn’t much she could do at the moment. The premiere was due to last all night, plus there was no chance that you’d get home before midnight. Whenever you got sick it you always seemed to grow worst as the day progressed as if today was anything to go by, she knew that you’d start feeling a lot worst as the hours went by. All she longed to do was to go home and take care of you, showering you in love and attention.
“Hi’tshhhh!” Your stifled sneeze seemed to interrupt Lizzie’s racing mind as she blessed you.
“You shouldn’t hold them in like that. Its not good for you.” She chided lightly. Lizzie’s concern was evident as she glanced you over, her worries multiplying as she saw your glassed-over eyes and the redness which was beginning to show around your nose. “Im sorry that you have to do this.” She mumbled, cupping your warm face in her hand.
You repeated the intimate moment back to her, “Don’t apologise, we both deserve to enjoy ourselves, lets just make the most of it.” You punctuated your sentence with a slight sniffle as you took her hand and the pair of you prepared to step back out onto the carpet.
Lizzie was about to walk out when she felt you pull her back slightly. She was confused for a moment but realised why when she saw the way your eyelashes were fluttering combined with the hitching of your breath.
“Heh-h’tschiew! Huh’tschoo! Hh’ttschoo!”
She made a quiet sympathetic noise and kissed your cheek as she whispered a soft,“Bless you, bless you.”
“Thanks.” You flashed her a weary smile before clearing your throat and confidently retaking her hand, “Ready?” You asked, kissing her hand as it interlocked with yours.
“Ready.”

Hey could you do ❄️,🤧&🎄with sick Lizzie
❄️ Sickie getting chills
🔇Sickie is losing their voice
🎄Sick on Christmas
Thanks for the request! Here you go :)
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
Another damp set of sniffles came from your fiancée who was cuddling into your side. She was wearing one of your oversized hoodies, her face flushed and her nose painted with a sickly redness.
By some rotten luck Lizzie had woken up that snowy morning with a horrible cold settling in her sinus's. The original plan was to wake up, open presents them travel down to your in-laws for a family Christmas dinner. However, with Lizzie being sick the pair of you decided it would be better to stay in instead. After an apologetic phone call, yourself and Lizzie grabbed a blanket and huddled on the sofa.
You felt Lizzies body wrack against you as another set of chills ran through her body. Poor baby. You held her tight as she nestled into you, desperate for your warmth. Her body shifted in positions and you heard the small stuffy hitching of her breath.
“Hi’hischiew! Hih'ishu!”
“Bless you sweetie.” You cooed only to be cut off by Lizzie weakly holding up a hand, indicating she had something to say.
“I-I’m not.. Hih.. Finis- Hheh-hitssschiew! Hhetchiew!” Lizzie sniffled frantically against the sleeve of the borrowed hoodie.
“Oh, bless you! Honey I’m gonna get you some tissues.” You went to move when you felt Lizzie move further into you.
“Dod't go... Id's cold.” She whined, congestion slurring her words.
“Are you feeling worse? You sound even stuffier then earlier.” You sighed sympathetically, gently massaging her scalp through her fever-soaked hair.
“I’ll be fide.” Lizzie tried to assure you, closing her eyes as she rested against you.
“I know you’ll be fine sweetheart. It just sucks that you're feeling so sick. Can I get you anything?” You kindly offered.
Lizzie sniffled thickly for a moment, cleared her throat and quietly whispered, “I just need you to lay with me.”
You smiled down at her, “Fine by me sweetheart.”

Summary: You and Lizzie are meant to be going out on a date but when one of you feels less then great, your plans change.
Wordcount:1,751
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
Being an actor was tough. The long hours and endless reading were just a factor of the job. You loved it though. However, dating was always a struggle, yet you and Lizzie seemed to make it look effortless. Behind the scenes, however, everything wasn't always so smooth.
Both yourself and Lizzie had been wanting to go on a date for months now but neither one of you was able to get time off work at the same time due to your clashing schedules and this could lead to some heated conversations. However, by some miracle, you received a text from your managers saying that you would both be able to take the upcoming Friday off together. Finally. This was just what you needed.
You and Lizzie spent that night planning what you would be doing for your date, after some thinking, the pair of you agreed that you would go to the fancy Italian restaurant that you knew Lizzie loved and then afterwards you would take the short walk to the cocktail bar where you had both first originally met.
The week leading up to your date, you were finding it hard to mask your excitement, as each day passed. When you got home that Thursday night you noticed that Lizzie seemed more tired than usual.
"You ok sweetheart?" You asked, sitting down next to her on your sofa, pulling a small blanket over the two of you.
"Yeah, work was just a little rough today. The propmaster is an asshole." Lizzie replied, cuddling into your side.
You rolled your eyes at the mention of the propmaster. He had been making comments about Lizzie ever since she started working on the production. "Sorry, that happened sweetie, at least we have our date tomorrow." You smiled, looking forward to it.
"I can't wait," She smiled up at you for a moment before she quickly turned her head and stifled a sneeze towards her shoulder, "H'kxxnt!"
She giggled slightly afterwards so you didn't think anything of her sneeze as you blessed her and offered, "Maybe we should head to bed early?"
"That sounds nice actually." You were sure you heard her sniffle
slightly but pushed the thought away as you led her to the bedroom.
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
You woke up that morning to the sun shining through your window, painting the room in a fresh orange haze. Feeling the bed empty beside you, you called out to your girlfriend.
"Liz?"
No answer. Huh, maybe she was in the kitchen? You slowly pulled yourself out of bed and made your way toward the kitchen. The house was strangely silent, the only sound was that of the birds singing to themselves outside.
When you made it to the kitchen you were slightly taken aback when you saw it was empty. You were about to pull out your phone to call your girlfriend when you noticed a small plate filled with various pastries and a note on top of the countertop. Picking up the note, you read it aloud.
I'm sorry Y/N. My manager rang and he needs me to come in for a few hours, I'll be home in time for our date. I promise. Love Lizzie. PS, I left you some croissants for your breakfast. She signed her note with a smiley face. Despite her kind gesture you couldn't help but feel slightly disheartened at the thought of sitting alone at home all day, but you understood that her work was important so you hastily made yourself a cup of coffee, grabbed a croissant and settled yourself on the sofa, ready for a day of Netflix.
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
You hadn't realised you fell asleep until the rattle of your front door pulled you from your slumber. Checking your phone, the small digital time read; 17:35. You heard the small clatter of boots against your wooden floor as Lizzie quietly walked into the living room. You tried to keep your face natural as you saw her appearance. Lizzies' makeup was smeared around her watery eyes, her face drained of colour except for a small redness on her cheeks.
"Hey." Her hoarse voice broke the silence as you rushed over to her, taking the bags from her hands.
"Oh my god. Lizzie what's wrong? What happened sweetheart, come here." You led her to the sofa as you put her bags down.
"Work was horrible." She started before quickly bringing her wrist to her nose, sneezing a harsh triple against it, "HhH'eh'tktoo! Hh'eh'cHIEW!.Hh.Hhah'HhCHIEW!"
Oh. You realised immediately why she seemed so fatigued. She was sick. Lizzie only ever sneezed more than twice when she was sick. You would have to deal with this carefully though, there was no way you were taking her out tonight in her condition but there was no way she'd just give in. Watching your words, you hesitantly spoke,
"Bless you sweetie... So, what happened at work then?" You massaged her shoulders gently as she began to tell her story.
When she had finally finished recounting her day, you understood why she looked so tired. The guys working on set design had teamed with her propmaster to pull a rather horrible prank on Lizzie, humiliating her in front of the whole crew. Not only that, filming had gone terribly too. People constantly forgetting their lines and missing their cues would annoy anybody but after hours of this, it becomes infuriating.
"That asshole," You muttered angrily, "You should report him Liz, what he did was cruel!"
Lizzie shook her head slightly, "Its fine, I just wanna forget about it," She glanced up at the clock on the wall, "Do we need to start getting read.. rea-..Hehh..HknnxT!" Lizzies sentence was interrupted as she half-stifled against her wrist, sniffling afterwards.
"Bless you. Lizzie, sweetheart, do you really think it's a good idea to go out, wouldn't you rather stay inside just for tonight?" You asked cautiously, reaching over for the tissue box next to you and placing it on the coffee table in front of you. You knew she would be needing them soon enough; Lizzie’s colds always seem to come on fast and hit her hard. Your thoughts went back to her sniffling the previous night and it finally clicked that it was then when she was getting sick and you had just failed to notice it. Just then Lizzie shifted positions and stared at you.
She gave you a strange look and replied to your earlier question. "What? Why?" She raised her elbow and tried to muffle her cough.
You sighed; this wasn't going to be easy. Her stubbornness could be so irritating sometimes, you were about to make your next argument when the sound of Lizzies breath hitching cut you off.
“H'eh'kichiew!..Hheh..Hehttshoo!..Hhhehtktoo!"
You waited for Lizzie to finish before blessing her, she grabbed a tissue from the box and blew her nose. When she was done you finally said, "Sweetie, you're sick. We can go on a date another time." You reached over to feel her forehead but she abruptly pulled away from you and stood up just before you were able to make contact with her.
"Look. I'm not sick, okay? Just drop it. We've been waiting ages to go out and we finally have the chance to-" She broke off into a fit of rather nasty coughing, resulting in you jumping up to hold her steady, rubbing circles on her back whilst you did so.
It was only a few seconds before she finally soothed but it felt like hours to you, the sound of her harsh coughing breaking your heart. She sounded terrible and it hurt to see her like this. You instructed her to sit back down, not taking no for an answer before quickly going to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.
You handed it to her as you sat back down next to her. "Lizzie, you can't do this. You're going to make yourself really ill if you carry on pushing yourself. Our date night can wait, your health is more important and I want to look after you," You held her hands in your own, keeping eye contact with her. "Please just let me look after you?"
Lizzie sighed; she couldn't fight it any longer. The fatigue she was feeling was almost unbearable. She leant against you and finally gave in, "I guess I do feel kinda bad."

You felt Lizzie cuddle into you before murmuring, “I'm sorry I got sick at the worst time possible.”
You gently ran your fingers through her hair and kissed her temple, “It's not your fault. We’ve both been swarmed with work; it was bound to happen soon. You could do with taking some medicine though if you already feel this bad.”
As you stood up from the sofa, you were about to go and search your cabinets for any form of medicine that you owned, you looked back to the sofa, hearing Lizzie's tired voice calling out to you, “Wait! Don’t go...It’s cold without you”
That did it. You felt a prickle of tears in your eyes as Lizzies words sunk in. All she wanted was to be held close and you promised to come straight back after getting what you needed. Luckily you managed to find a small packet of ‘Cold and Flu’ medicine, this would have to do. Before making your way back to the living room, you quickly ran up to your bedroom and grabbed a set of her fluffy pyjamas along with the duvet from your bed.
You carefully draped the duvet over her and placed her pyjamas on the floor beside the sofa. You reattempted to place your hand back on her forehead, luckily this time she let you and you felt the slight heat radiating from her, “You're warm.” You noted out loud, clicking your tongue.
“Really? I’ve been freezing all day.” Came her confused reply as she cocooned herself within the blanket, only moving over to make room for you.
You placed the medicine next to the tissues and sank into the sofa to hold her close. You weren't going to let anything hurt her, Lizzie was yours. "I know sweetheart. It’ll be your fever making you feel funny." You sympathised, "How about we get changed into something comfy and have a snuggly movie night on the sofa? You have to promise to let me take care of you though.” You kissed her head as she considered your proposition and cuddled further into you.
"You know what, that sounds amazing.”

"Alright. Cut. Take 5 while we set up the next scene, I want makeup touch-ups done on everyone in the next shot please!" The voice of your director dismissed you from the current scene as people began rushing around to set up everything for the next.
"Lizzie?" You tilted your head in surprise at the sight of your wife leaning up against some equipment behind the main camera. On any normal day you wouldn't have thought anything of it. But she'd woken up sick this morning with little to no voice left, and it'd taken you almost half an hour to convince her to go back to bed and take the day off. Yet here she was. Standing just off set... in her pyjamas. “Honey you’re supposed to be in bed. What are you doing here?”
She only shivered in response and goosebumps ran up her exposed arms as she pulled them round herself. “Oh, come here sweetheart,” You shook your head, taking off the jumper you’d been wearing and pulled it over her pink pyjama shirt. It was slightly baggy but on her, but it was better than that thin fabric that seemed to be doing little to keep her warm, “That better?”
She nodded before clearing her throat, "I missed you," Lizzie whispered hoarsely, her voice barely audible. "And I wanted to see your scenes. You always watch mine.” She sniffled before muffling a cough against the collar of her borrowed jumper, making you raise an eyebrow slightly knowing you had to wear that later.
You cupped her flushed face in your hands, giving her a gentle kiss on the forehead. "You're the sweetest really, you are, but I don't want you getting any sicker. Your voice sounds awful darling. So how about this? You stay right here, I'll finish up this next scene and then I’ll walk you back to our trailer and get you settled back down, okay? How does that sound?”  Lizzie gave a weak smile, appreciating the warmth of your jumper and the concern in your eyes. "Okay," she agreed in a raspy whisper, her hand finding yours as you began to lead her over towards where one of the runners had plugged a small portable heater into an extension cord.
“You just concentrate on getting warm, okay?” You murmured, kissing her hand, “I’ve gotta sort out my makeup. The scene’s only short but if you really don’t feel well, just head back without me. I’ll catch you up.”
With that you turned to quickly run over to makeup to get touched up before making it back down in front of the camera. The scene went well. Everyone had delivered their lines well and you’d only needed to do a couple to retakes to get the perfect shot.
As the director called for a wrap on the scene, you wasted no time in heading back over to where you had left Lizzie. She looked a little more tired now but at least the heater had been doing its job and had kept her warm as she watched.
“Alright, you, we had an agreement, didn’t we?” You smiled, knowing it was time for her to go back to bed. Your wife pouted but nodded in agreement and with a bit of effort, you helped her to her feet, wrapping your arm around her for support as you walked back to your trailer
"You're a terrible patient," You teased once you’d gotten inside, still holding her hand as you led her back to bed, a bundle of blankets that she more than willingly climbed back into.
Lizzie grinned weakly as you leant down to press a soft kiss to her warm cheek once she’d gotten settled, "But still the best wife, right?"
"Absolutely.” You chucked as you pulled the blanket up to her chin, “Now rest, my love and I'll be back as soon as I can."

“It’s so busy.” A small voice groaned from the crook of your neck before she sniffled thickly, rubbing the edge of her nose against her wrist.
Lizzie's soft whimper sent a shiver down your spine as you stood off to the side of the busy room. The flashing lights, the drumming of footsteps, and the buzz of excitement from the crowd were almost overwhelming. Comic-Con usually such a fun event, but it was becoming painfully clear that Lizzie's untimely bug had thrown a wrench into your plans.
You wrapped your arm around her shoulders, trying to offer some comfort amidst the chaos. "I know, sweetheart. I'm sorry this had to happen now." Your voice was laced with concern as you felt her body shiver against yours. She looked stunning in her elegant gown, but her pale complexion and watery eyes told a different story.
A soft, sounding sneeze suddenly escaped Lizzie, drawing attention from a nearby group of photographers. She blushed, hiding her face in the crook of your neck. "I'm sorry," she sniffled thickly, rubbing the edge of her nose against her wrist.
You reassured her with a gentle smile, placing a kiss on her forehead. "Don't worry, love. It's not your fault.” She continued to lean on you for support, her body feeling unusually heavy as the two of you navigated through the sea of people.
Before long the two of you had made to the designated meet up spot, and you could already see several of your co-stars chatting amongst themselves. You were all due to appear on a panel to answer some fan questions and talk about your upcoming show but from the way your wife was coughing beside you, you weren’t so sure that was going to happen.
She had a persistent, raspy cough that punctuated her sentences, and her nose was becoming increasingly red and irritated from all the tissue use. As you approached your co-stars, their faces displayed a mix of concern and sympathy.
The director of the series immediately noticed Lizzie's distress. "Hey you two!" he called out as he jogged over towards the two of you, his brows furrowing in worry. "You okay over there Lizzie?"
She tried to put on a brave face, but her coughing fit gave her away. "I'm trying to be," she replied weakly, “I don’t think its working though.”
The director exchanged a concerned look with your co-stars before turning back to Lizzie. "Listen, we can't have you on the panel like this. It's not fair to you, and it's not fair to the fans. Your health comes first."
Lizzie nodded, her voice barely above a whisper as she said, "I know, but I don't want to let anyone down. People are expecting to see us all.”
One of your co-stars, a close friend of both you and Lizzie, stepped forward. "Hey, don't worry about it. We'll handle the panel, and you just focus on getting better."
Lizzie managed a weak smile, touched by their support. "Thank you, guys. I'm so sorry about this."
As your co-stars began to discuss how to rearrange the panel without Lizzie, you guided her to a quieter area away from the crowd. You could tell she was disappointed, but you also knew that pushing herself in her current condition would only make things worse, so you took her hand in your own and began to journey back up to your hotel room.
Before long the two of you made it back to the safety of you room and you watched as your wife flopped onto the bed, instantly crawling in and pulling the blanket around herself. You smiled and cupped her face in your hands and looked into her tired eyes. "You look so tired love." You sighed, taking off the shoes she’d neglected to remove.
She leaned into your touch, her eyes welling up with tears. "I just hate that I'm ruining this, you love these events.”
You brushed away a tear from her cheek with your thumb. "You're not ruining anything. And you’re right, I do love these events, but I love you more. Meaning you take priority here, over everything."
Lizzie chuckled weakly, “You’re too sweet.”
You leaned in and kissed her forehead, then her nose, which was now redder than ever. "I love you, Lizzie, even when you're sick in the most inconvenient places."

As the rain battered loudly against the windows, you knew something was wrong. Lizzie had been quiet all evening, barely touching her dinner and avoiding eye contact with you for the whole of your meal despite you trying to engage her in conversation whilst simultaneously trying to figure out what was wrong - because something definitely was.
Then you made your mistake. It was one snide comment. Something so trivial. Any other day she would’ve smirked and thrown back a witty come back right back towards you…but not this time.
Instead she suddenly stood up, “No, absolutely not. Fuck this.” She hissed, her eyes burning daggers into you as she accidentally over her glass before marching straight towards out of the kitchen and towards the entrance to your home. Without another word, she flung open the main door and stormed out into the pouring rain outside, not bothering to stop and grab her coat before slamming the door closed behind her with a heavy thud.
“What the f-“ A loud crack of thunder had interrupted your curse as the bright flash of lightning briefly illuminated the dark sky outside before the already heavy rain began to violently beat down against the windows.
You found yourself cursing again, this time for another reason. Lizzie can’t be outside in that weather. There were a million reasons but most of all, it just wasn’t safe, especially not when you’d had severe weather warnings all week long. Without a second thought, you rushed to grab your coat and car keys before hurrying outside to go find your wife.
The heavy rain on the windshield of your car obscures your vision despite the window wipers going at full speed. You could barely see two foot in front of you, and you’d lost count of just how many times you’ve had to quickly slam your foot onto the break to prevent an accident.
Half an hour had passed since your wife had stormed out of the house, and despite your best efforts, you were no closer to finding her than you were when you'd first started.
Your concern had now grown to the point of being almost frantic, and despite your best efforts to blink them away, salty tears had begun to steadily stream down your cheeks.
Where in the heck was she?
Deciding you'd have better luck on foot, you pull your car off to the side of the road before climbing out. You were almost immediately soaked by the torrential downpour, and your mind instantly drifts back to Lizzie. She'd been out in the rain a lot longer than you had, so you could only imagine what state she'd be in when you find her.
Almost like God himself had heard your silent prayer, the familiar green of the hoodie she had put on this morning catches your eye from a few hundred years away. Her small figure seemed to be slumped defeatedly beneath a tree, and you blindly grab her coat from the passenger seat before quickly making your way over to her.
"Oh honey," you murmur once you get close enough. She was absolutely soaked to the bone; clothing saturated, hair plastered to either side of her face and her bottom lip visibly trembling.
Lizzie looks up at you, eyes shiny with what you could only assume were unshed tears. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't..."  She trails off, seemingly insure on what she could say to make the situation better, and you shook your head dismissively as you crouched down and place the thick coat over her shoulders.
She seemed to instinctively curl into the warmth, allowing you reach forward and brush a soaked strand of hair out of her face.
"Let's go home, okay?" You murmured as you trailed the pad of your thumb over the wet skin, and Lizzie could only nod.
You stood up and hold out your hand for her to take. Lizzie seemed to hesitate for a moment before placing her small hand in yours, and you gently tugged her up to her feet. She leant heavily against you as you begin to walk back to the car, and you wrap an arm around her waist to steady her, not wanting her to slip on the muddy grass.
The journey back to your house is silent, the only sounds being the seemingly endless supply of raindrops hitting against the windshield along with the soft sniffles coming from your wife in the passenger seat. You're not entirely sure what had caused her to react so strongly earlier, but you know that you need to give her the space and time she needs to work through it. The last thing you wanted to do was to make things worse.
As you pull into your driveway, you turn off the car's engine and sit in silence for a few moments. Lizzie is still leaning against you the window, and you can see her still trembling slightly.
"Come on," you say softly, giving her a gentle nudge so she’d look up and realise that you were home, "Let's get inside and dry off. This weather’s nasty."
Lizzie nodded wordlessly, and you both make your way inside the house. As soon as you're through the door, you headed straight to the bathroom, where you start running a warm bath for her.
"Here," you said, passing Lizzie a towel. "Get out of those wet clothes, and I'll bring you something dry to wear."
Lizzie nodded again, taking the towel from you and disappearing into the bathroom. You could hear the sound of running water as you headed to the bedroom to find some dry clothes for her.
When you return to the bathroom, Lizzie is already in the bath, the warm water enveloping her. She looks up as you enter, and for a moment, you both just stare at each other.
"I'm sorry," Lizzie said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know what came over me."
"It's okay," you reply, sitting down on the edge of the bath. As you sat beside her, you couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt for your snide remark earlier. You had no idea what was going on with her, and you should have been more supportive instead of adding to her stress.
But you also couldn’t have known how she was feeling due to the fact she’d refused to talk to you, so you knew neither one of you were solely to blame.
“What happened?” You ask, making your voice as unaccusing as possible.
Lizzie sighs as she lays her head against the back of the tub. “It was nothing. Not really. I was just having a bad day. A build up of lots of things, you know?” She tentatively flickers her eyes over at you, and you find yourself nodding in understanding. You reach out and grab her hand that had been resting on the side on the tub, allowing her fingers to tangle with her own.
“I’m sorry if my comment made it worse. I didn’t mean to do that.” You apologise, and Lizzie nods appreciatively as she sits up. When she holds out her other hand, you lean closer and allow her to cup your cheek. She trails the pad of her thumb over the skin before lightly tugging you forward, and you couldn’t help but smile when she places her lips against your own.
You allowed it to linger for a little while before pulling away, the corners of your lips quirked up into an endearing grin. “You’re cute. Want me to wash your hair?”
Lizzie lets out a content sigh as she nods her head, and you watch as she skinks back into the water to wet her hair before reaching for the shampoo. A comfortable silence falls upon you as you work on washing her hair, your finger tips grazing soothingly over her scalp. Lizzie hums contently at the action, and you couldn’t help but smile at the sound as you press a chaste kiss to her forehead before grabbing the shower head.
Soon, you were both tucked up in bed, Lizzie’s smaller frame curled up against your own. You could feel her soft breath hitting your neck as she slowly succumbs to sleep. Although today had been rough, you were glad to end it like this. Tucked up in bed with your favourite person in the whole entire world.
You’d slept well that night and had woken up with Lizzie still curled into up into you – that was always a lovely thing to wake up too and it had started your morning perfectly As you slowly opened up your eyes fully, you noticed that the bedroom was being dimly lit by the soft glow of the morning sun peeking through the blinds, the previous night’s storm having blown over leaving behind a calm, blue sky in its place. Your gaze then travelled over down to your Lizzie again as she lay curled up, buried deep under the covers. She was adorable... But it was as you were admiring how cute she looked in that moment when you noticed how she was breathing heavier than usual, her chest rising and falling in an uneven rhythm.
Concerned, you gently placed your hand on her forehead and immediately felt the heat radiating from her skin, unfortunately it seemed the action had stirred her a little as she groaned groggily as she began to slowly wake up.
You didn’t even have time to voice your concerns before Lizzie’s head was suddenly ducking forward into your chest with two sudden sneezes, “EiiTSHHHu! Hhih- Hih-! HiiTSHHIEW!”
“Goodness, that’s a new way of saying goodmorning,” You chuckled, pretending not to notice Lizzie rubbing her nose against your shirt – in her defence, the poor woman was barely awake, her eyes were still shut slightly as she tried to wake up properly. She was really the cutest person in the world and even the fact that she'd just sneezed on you and rubbed it all over you didn't change that. “Bless you, by the way.”
Lizzie let out a soft groan as she shifted slightly, trying to get comfortable again. You could tell that she was feeling miserable, her body shivering slightly despite the warmth of the blankets. She groaned again and snuggled deeper into your embrace, desperate for some warmth. “Thanks,” she muttered hoarsely, her voice thick with a noticeable congestion before she broke off to turn away and cough weakly against her arm, grimacing a little afterwards at the pain in her chest.
"Baby..." Lizzie sniffled as she turned back towards you and buried her face back against your chest. "I don't feel very well." She croaked, her voice awfully sounding scratchy and hoarse.
You nodded knowingly as you began to comb your fingers through her slightly tangled hair. “Yeah, the sneezes kind of gave that away,” you teased lightly, and Lizzie gave you an unimpressed look as she brung her hand up to rub at her itchy nose.
“Sorry baby,” you murmured apologetically, leaning down to press a kiss against her rather warm forehead. “Are you up some some food? I don’t really want to give you any medicine on an empty stomach.”
Before Lizzie could even begin to answer you, her breath hitched and she was stifling another sneeze into your chest, “Hitshhiew!” She let out a quiet groan knowing she was in for a long day.
“Bless you honey.” You pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. “I’ll go get you some fruit or something, okay?”
Lizzie nodded with wet sniffle, and you made a mental note to also grab her a box of tissues as you climbed out of bed and shrug on a hoodie.
The cold hit you the second your feet hit the tiled floor on the bottom of the staircase, and you shivered slightly as you head through to the kitchen. After turning on the light and washing your hands, you made quick work of preparing Lizzie some warm oatmeal, topping it with strawberries and blueberries.
Placing the bowl on a tray along with some cough medicine, Tylenol, a bottle of water and a box of tissues, you made your way back upstairs and nudged the bedroom open with your hip. Lizzie was just as you’d left her, and you couldn’t help but smile at the sight as you set the tray down onto the nightstand.
“I brought you oatmeal.” You greeted her with a soft smile as you climbed back into bed and held open your arms.
Lizzie sniffles softly as she curls up against your side, “Yummy.” She murmured, voice sounding full of congestion.
You pouted softly at the sound as you reached for the oatmeal, scooping out a small spoonful and blowing on it to make sure it wasn’t too hot before holding it to her lips. She accepted it with a soft hum or content, and it told you that whatever illness she had hadn’t yet taken away her ability to taste.
“Good?” You asked, preparing another spoonful, and Lizzie nodded her head as her lips once again part. She slowly but surely made her way through half of the bowl before lightly pushing it away, and you accepted her silent implication and placed it back down.
“Alright my love, time for some medicine.”
Lizzie whinged a little, but that only made her cough harshly into her fist, “Okay fine.” She mumbled quietly after she’d finished coughing.
“Good girl, let’s open this up for you.” You smiled, running your hand through her hair then down onto her back before grabbing the bottle of cough medicine and pouring out the appropriate dose.
“Drink this for me sweetheart.” You encouraged her lightly, handing her the small cup which she brought to her lips.
Once she had swallowed the last of the medicine, you took the cup from her and smiled down at the small redhead. "Good job baby, that soothe help your cough a bit. Can you tell me how you feel though, like symptom-wise?”
She nodded, taking a second to grab a tissue to wipe against her runny nose before she began speaking, “My head feels achy and it feels really stuffy in my sinuses. My throat’s sore too and I’m keep feeling like I’m getting chills.”
“Awh, baby,” you pouted sympathetically as she described how she felt, “I think you’ve just caught yourself a head-cold. You do feel warm though, do you feel feverish?”
Lizzie sighed and seemed to think for a moment before quietly mumbling, “A little…”
Placing a tender kiss down to her forehead only confirmed her words, “Poor thing, you definitely feel a like you’re running a temperature. How about I go get a cool cloth for your head? I think we may actually have some of those fever reducing patches somewhere, the ones that go on your head.”
Lizzie sniffles softly, “That’d be nice, thank you.” She murmurs with a smile, and you return it before climbing out of bed with the intention of fetching her a fever reducing patch. After a few minutes of looking, you find them in the medicine cabinet along with all the other medications, and after grabbing one out of the box, you make your way back into the bedroom.
“Here you are baby.” You murmur, gently placing it onto her forehead. You even press a soft kiss against the top of it for good measure.
“Thank you.” Lizzie murmurs sleepily as her heavy lids close, and you give her cheek a tender touch before climbing into bed next to her. She almost instinctively curls into your side, and you wrap your arms around her before allowing your own eyes to slip closed too.
〘✧✧✧〙
Apparently falling asleep next to her and allowing her to breathe all over you wasn’t a good move on your part.
Because when you finally came to a few hours later, there was a familiar stuffiness growing in your head. Lizzie was still snoozing away against you, her breathing slightly hoarse, and you couldn’t help but smile at the sight. That smile however, was soon wiped from your face when you feel your nose begin to itch.
“Huh’htschoo!”
Oh no...

The shining sun glittered through your curtains, painting the room with a hazy morning glow. It was early, not early enough for the world to be beginning its day but early enough for the birds to be happily chirping just outside your window.
It took a moment for your eyes to adjust as you slowly woke up. To your delight, you felt a familiar hand come to massage your head. Rolling over, you smiled noticing that your wife was sat up in bed quietly scrolling on her phone.
Your wife gently rubbed your head as you sat up groggily. “Good morning, sweetheart.” She smiled at you playfully, “Sleep well?” Lizzie put her phone down gently and carefully tucked the thin white sheet right up underneath your chin. You could feel the soft touch of her hand as she gently kissed your nose.
“Hiiishhhuuu!”
You turned away to sneeze into the covers, and as you did so your wife laughed. She reached over and grabbed a tissue and held it out to you, "Here you go baby." She chuckled, and you looked up at her as she gently stroked her fingers over your head. "Bless you sweetheart, I guess that kiss tickled that cute little nose of yours."
If only that was the reason then things would be so much easier, but you knew better. You’d gone to bed with a headache yesterday and judging by the slight soreness settling at the back of your throat, it wasn’t too much of a reach to guess that you were coming down with something – especially not when you had to sneeze again only moments later.
“Goodness love, bless you! You okay?” Lizzie said, her tone laced with a hint of worry as she shuffled down to snuggle up to you.
You shrugged honestly, “I think maybe I’m getting sick, I don’t feel that good.”
“Awh poor love, I guess this means you’re staying in bed today? Lizzie asked sweetly, passing you another tissue when you sniffled against her.
“Mmmhp.” Your response was more a groan of agreement then a verbal answer but Lizzie knew what the answer would be anyway.
“I guess I better give you lots of cuddles for you to get better then?” Lizzie smiled sweetly whilst patting the side of her chest, indicating you to lay your head there, she knew you loved resting your head against her - it always felt like the softest, most nurturing place in the entire world and there truly was no where else you’d rather be.
“...Cuddles, kisses and I’ll maybe even make you some soup if you’re lucky.” She continued as you smiled.
“God you’re the best, y’know that?” You purred happily.
“Yep.”

You’d planned to spend your day off doing nothing but relaxing. Maybe take a long bath, watch some Netflix or catch up on some reading. There really was no limit. But it seemed the day had its own plans in store. It was just after twelve when you were lounging on the couch, scanning over the open book in your hand when you heard the recognisable click of your lock of your door as it swung open.
“Hello?” You called out while glancing over towards the door, curiosity filling your thoughts. You weren’t expecting anyone to stop by today.
To your surprise, it was Lizzie who turned the corner. She looked awful – hell, she felt it too. Her legs so weary with fatigue that the sheer weight of her body is the sole thing keeping her upright and there were distinct smudges of mascara beneath her eyes.
“Baby?” You looked over her with blatant concern, “You’re home early. Are you okay?”
Lizzie kicked off her heels with the most pitiful whimper her voice box can muster, sniffling wetly as she holds a very soaked tissue to her face, “They sent me home.”
“Oh, baby. Come here,” You drop my book and scrambled up to your feet, coming over to Lizzie and taking her in the largest hug you could. There are so many different ways to feel better, but what Lizzie needs right now is love, “You poor thing. What happened?”
Lizzie's shoulders sink as she surrenders to the support of my embrace. I can feel her forehead rest against my chin, her cheek pressed against the crook of my neck. Her skin is so warm, “I’m not feeling too hot, so my boss said I had to come home.“
“Oh sweetheart, I'm sorry you’re not feeling well,” you trailed off, bringing up your hand and pressing it to the side of her cheek, “You do feel hot to me though, are you running a fever or anything?”
“I don’t know,” Lizzie's voice is a mere murmur as she sinks further into your embrace. Her forehead presses deeper into the base of your collarbone. She couldn’t keep her voice from cracking. But you hold her closer, rubbing your thumb across her cheek as she pouted. The only downside of your close contact was that Lizzie barely had enough time to turn away from you when her nose began, instead she buried her nose in her thoroughly abused tissue.
“HEh’ktshoo! Heh'ttshoo!”
Her sneeze is the most pitiful noise you've ever heard. You're not sure if you should laugh or cry. Her sinuses are clearly beyond stuffed up and her head is throbbing, her ears hot and her throat sore. The skin of her face is flushed, and she looks like she hadn’t slept in weeks. It broke your heart. "Oh, honey," you say, squeezing her closer as you gently took the beat tissue from her grasp, “Let me throw that away for you baby, there's some fresh ones in our bedroom, I think. How about you go up and get changed into something comfy and I’ll follow you up with some tea?”
You felt so bad for her. She looked positively miserable and she deserved all the love and care you could give her—that and more. And as you watched her shuffle her way up the stairs towards your room, you couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for her.
Heading to the kitchen, you threw away her gross tissue and flicked on the kettle, tapping your foot as you waited for the water to boil. Once you'd prepared a piping mug of chamomile with honey, lemon, and a sprinkle of cinnamon, you set off toward the bedroom and quietly knocking at the door to announce your entrance.
The door creaks open slowly to reveal Lizzie lying on the mattress with her knees tucked up to her chest, face buried in arms wrapped around them, as if to comfort herself. She’s no longer wearing her work clothes. She's in nothing but a baggy T-shirt and worn-out, purple sweatpants. She has a miserable look to her that's hard to describe: at once, sad, and tired, and sick. But she was still somehow adorable.
You move forward and crouch beside the bed, offering the mug of tea to her and gently placing a hand on her lower back. "Your tea, sweetheart. It should help with your congestion."
In response to my act of altruism, Lizzie slowly, gingerly reaches for the mug. "Can I have a tissue, too?" she whispers with the gentleness of a dove. In the sunlight, her dark-circled eyes shimmer with the remnants of earlier tears, "You're the best..." The mug quivers in her hands and she takes a hesitant sip, but she soon relaxes, feeling a wave of relief wash over her as the hot liquid helps to soothe her raw throat.
You pressed a soft kiss to her forehead before disappearing into your ensuit bathroom remerging moments later with a box of tissues in your hand and you set the box in her lap with a smile.
“Thank you.” Lizzie sniffled as she reached forward to swipe a few from the box and she presses the soft tissue to her nose, but it’s still not enough to ward off the incessant itch in her nose, “Hi’hischiew! Hh..HHih'ishu! Heh- He’hhtshoo!” She paused to grab another few tissues, “Ugh, ‘scuse, I’m really sorry if I'm ruining your day off, I can't imagine this is how you planned to spend it.”
"Awh bless you, don't be absurd though honey," you shook your head as you came to sit beside her on the bed, "My day off isn't ruined at all. I'm glad that I can be here to take care of you.”
"You're too sweet. I really appreciate this..." Lizzie's eyelids become leaden, and she begins to yawn widely.
"Come here," You whispered, drawing her against your chest as she laid her head on your shoulder. And you let your hand come to run through her hair as you shuffled the two of you backwards before pulling up the duvet to cover you both, "What else can I do for you, my love?”
“I don't care what you talk about, can you just keep talking?” She sniffled as she nuzzled into your side, coughing thickly into her elbow before asking, “could you maybe read to me?”
“Of course, I could sweetie.” You smiled, kissing her forehead again, “Now, which book would you like.”
