After an uncharacteristic bout of Los Angeles rain, and in between overcommitted dog walkers and incessant air traffic, I got to spend an afternoon with Elizabeth Woolf in Will Rogers park. We chatted about our mutual theatrical histories and our favorite female vocalists, and eventually she sat down to play a favorite Lianne La Havas tune. Amidst the chaos of planning upcoming shows and releases, you'd never see it as Elizabeth slips into another world when she sings. I'd say that's kinda wonderful, wouldn't you?
