Okay, so to the point! 🫡

Headcanons: elumax comes out as a throuple to:

Joyce & hopper

Hopper was just...confused when he heard them. You can imagine his confused grimace as he looks at kids and then at Joyce for help

but she just smacks him on the arm, and smiles sweetly at kids, "let's maybe hear out you first, huh?"

and so elumax talks, and explains

Joyce sometimes nods, sometimes raises her eyebrows in curiosity

Hopper is less...excited.

he says that he's worried that Max & Lucas won't love El as much as they love each other, and he doesn't want to see her get hurt

(El rolls her eyes)

Max & Lucas explain as calmly as they can, that this is not how it works

and Max says something like "you have to sometimes feel pain in relationships" or some crap she heard from Steve

it works, tho! Because Joyce giggles and looks at Hopper at once melting his sour expression

"they're right" she says in soft voice and at that Hopper nods

he still isn't that sure that these two won't hurt his little girl

but as he sees as El looks at two of them... He can't lie to himself, she loves them

and so, he decided that (with Joyce help and patience) he's willing to give Max and Lucas a chance

(Hopper knows that his little girl would date them even without his blessing, but he refuses to think about it)

so in the end, they have a family talk, but all in all Joyce & Hopper don't mind

"we did fight monsters from another dimension. Three-way relationship isn't that out of ordinary for us, yes?"

they hug!! Family hug! Bug bear hug! lots of love and understanding!

Erica

I kid you not, her reaction was "duh? Finally." which made Lucas want to smack her with pillow

but honestly, she saw through their bullshit since forever

maybe she didn't know the term "polyamory" but she did know that these three dorks love each other

I mean, one time she went to Lucas room to take something from him per usual, and she saw him, Max and El cuddling on his bed! Cuddling!

so yeah, it was pretty obvious to her

and honestly, she was teasing him about having two girlfriends since at least month

(her brother is stupid, but she loves him)

Max seeing Erica's reaction just laughs loudly, which prompts El to giggle and Lucas to smile

Erica seeing that rolls her eyes, because, come on? not in front of her dolls!

Lucas' sister pats him on the arm as she says "you have my blessing, kids. They will be good for you. And YOU will be good for them or you know what I'll do. Bye"

with that it was over, Erica left the room

but honestly, it was so refreshing to see this kind of reaction from someone

it made them happy!

Istg I've only been in this fandom for a week

"Shit," she muttered while running to check on dinner. All the kids were going to be staying over to eat, something about Mirkwood being close by and comradery. Honestly, Joyce didn't think she even wanted to know what they were doing. When she turned around she noticed Hop was scowling down at his coffee and Mike and WIll were nowhere to be seen, presumably back in his room with the others. "You know," she started, leaning against the counter and causing him to jump at being interrupted from his brooding. "You are going to have to let this go at some point." "Nope," he scoffed like this was a realistic goal. "I will hate that little weasel for as long as he continues to sink his little weasely claws into our children." She resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "He is corrupting our children, Joyce! Why else would Will be all moony-eyed over him?" He stared at her and she realized he actually wanted a response to that.

Just some good ole fashioned Byers-hopper family fluff, crack, and emotions

A post-season 3 au where El has powers, Hopper didn't "die", and everyone is having a normal life post-Starcourt. Mostly.

Hopper accidentally becomes the biggest ally in Hawkins out of hatred for Mike Wheeler. El wants to date Max? Perfect, Mike is terrified of Max. El wants to date Max and Lucas? Even better, more people to keep Mike away. Will comes out to Joyce and Hop? Hopper is immediately studying up on gay culture and flagging so he can find him a Hop ApprovedTM boyfriend. He sees that nice boy Gareth cuff his jeans one time and starts inviting him to family dinner. Mike seems annoyed that Steve is spending more time with Munson? A pamphlet titled “Accepting your Bisexuality” finds its way into Steve’s jacket pocket. Hopper has never seen Mike as furious as the day Steve and Munson arrive at dinner holding hands. It’s a good day. Hopper isn’t sure how Nancy dating the Buckley girl will annoy Mike, but he’s willing to give it a shot.

No Upside Down steddie AU where Steve gradually meets the members of Hellfire (-Eddie) in and out of school and they all come to befriending him really fast because “Steve Harrington is actually a good dude”

But Eddie fucking hates it.

And this only spurs Hellfire on because they think him getting mad over Steve Harrington is fucking hilarious.

Jeff who takes a foods class in third period and Steve does to and then the teacher pairs them for a baking project and Jeff gets to go to Casa Harrington. And he realizes rather quickly that Steve really likes baking and cooking and actually knows what he’s doing and that he’s not just taking the class for an easy A.

Brian (I’ve named him Brian, yes), meets Steve in Art class. Like Jeff, he thought Steve was taking it for an easy A but when seats are changed and they sit together he realizes that, no, Steve’s actually kind of good at drawing (particularly scenery). They get to talking about one of Steve’s sketches and the rest is history.

Gareth doesn’t officially meet Steve until later, but he does see him out with the kids at the arcade. Gareth works at the arcade and there’s this particular group of kids that just irks him— turns out they’re Steve’s gaggle. He watches in begrudging amusement while Steve rounds them up like a pro.

Then Gareth officially meets him after Hellfire one day. It’s fucking windy and he’s just leaving to school to go home when the papers and sheets he was holding are fucking torn from his hands. Steve grabs the papers— there after some kind of sports practice— and makes sure Gareth has them secured in his bad before leaving with a dorky finger-waggle wave.

And Eddie just downright refuses.

And then the school year ends and Steve graduates. And he’s convinced he doesn’t have to see Steve again.

Until, of course, Mike Dustin and Lucas join.

Jeff, Gareth, and Brian are all ecstatic to share their own run-ins of Steve Harrington to the three boys who so clearly idolize him. Gareth happily recalls how Steve “tamed” them in the arcade every time he came in.

Eddie sits in brooding silence.

And then Lucas joins the basketball team. And sure— Jeff’s on the volleyball team— but basketball jocks are so much worse than volleyball jocks.

Mike and Dustin, however thrown out of orbit they were at first, seem to settle in eventually and learn to plan around it. They think that anything that makes Lucas happy is a good thing (even if it did take a bit of a talk with Will for them to realize).

But Eddie? Eddie can’t stand it.

Which is why he refuses to move the date for the final campaign.

But Eddie doesn’t even get to introduce Vecna before Steve Harrington himself is all but breaking down the fucking door.

Eddie has this whole argument in his head that quickly dwindles when he sees the pure anger in Steve’s eyes (and also because Steve is really fucking pretty holy shit).

Steve tells Dustin Mike and Erica to pack up and get to the game before he drags them and you know what?

They listen.

Including hard ass Erica Sinclair.

And then idk Steve and Eddie get into a whole fight about.

But Steve makes it very clear that he doesn’t appreciate Eddie making Lucas feel like he can’t be happy doing DnD and basketball because that poor boy deserves nice things dammit.

And Eddie sleeps on it over the weekend before hunting Lucas down first thing Monday morning to apologize.

Lucas forgive Eddie (against Eddie’s protest because let the man grovel) but makes Eddie also apologize to Steve.

Which Eddie does by showing up to the Harrington Estate.

Eddie apologizes and they get high together and the rest is history.

I have this hc were Steve Harrington has Steve days and has Stevie days. Where he assumes everyone has days where they feel more masculine and days where they feel more feminine.

He makes a casual comment about it once to Robin and they start doing research. Robin ropes in Vickie then ropes in Eddie. Steve ropes in Nancy who ropes in Jonathan who ropes in Argyle.

It never bothered Steve that the kids call him mom. Or that El and Max call it girls night even though Steve will also be joining them. Or that Nancy and Robin love putting subtle make up on him. Or that Eddie calls him princess. Or that Erica braids his hair. Or that Argyle uses she/her pronouns sometimes when referring to Steve. Or that Vickie buys him dainty jewelry.

When Steve heard that coloring could be therapeutic, he went out and bought a bunch of coloring books along with crayons. When the party came over and he told them it was a coloring party, they complained at first. Steve had them lay on their stomachs so they could color, leaving a large open space for everyone to lay down in the living room. Everyone got their own coloring books and crayons. He played soft rock music while they colored and pretty soon, everyone began to relax. They were enjoying themselves, talking softly and giggling.

Will, El, and Max were giggling with their heads together. Dustin was quiet for once, concentrating on his coloring. Steve noticed that he had his tongue sticking out like Eddie sometimes does. He smiled fondly at Dustin. Mike was leaning over Eddie's shoulder to see what he was doing. Lucas and Erica were actually laughing together for once. Nancy and Jonathan were coloring with Argyle snoozing in between them. For Argyle, it was naptime. Steve grinned and went back to coloring in his shared coloring book with Robin. Hop and Joyce had actually come over to see when they heard from Will what Steve had been planning.

"This was a really good idea, Steve," Joyce said happily. "They look so. . ."

"Peaceful," Hop said, grinning as he watched their daughter and sons.

"They look like kids," Joyce said softly.

"Steve!" Mike yelled. "Eddie keeps drawing dicks!"

Eddie cackled menacingly as Steve sighed.

"Mike, don't be a tattle tail! He can do whatever he wants to. That's the whole point," Steve said.

"Yeah, but why are they covered in moles?" Mike asked.

Steve looked at Eddie, who smiled coyly at him. On the other hand. . .maybe this had been a bad idea.
