Usually I had no trouble falling into a meditative peace and letting my subconscious work over my problems while I cleared my mind. But tonight, something bothered me. Something about Betancore’s demeanour was off, and it gnawed at the back of my mind. The look on his face…
Something haunted him, and he was trying very hard to hide it.
Eisenhorn has a series of epiphanies, some of them even true, and Betancore throws a rager.
Starting a one man crusade to give Eisenhorn a shred of happiness, starting with writing this fic

Send me a character + a number from 1-10!
I hope this is okay! Colors were a bit funky, but hey, it's the point of these challenges after all lol. Tbh, I kinda enjoy drawing grumpy older men. The shadows on such faces can be fun to do!

Got a hip tendonitis today, seriously thinking about buying a cane. Or making a pair of fucking servos and cosplaying Eisenhorn on daily basis.

I started Xenos sometime last week. I've been enjoying it, a bit more action-ey than I expected to be honest. That might have been because when I played Dark Heresy, it was a lot more undercover investigation and less shooty James Bond but that might have been my GM. Except that time that I almost got eaten by orks but that's another story.
Anyway, reading it so far felt a lot like an action flick. Not in a bad way, just very shootey and Eisenhorn is not subtle.
Distrubingly enough, the two servitors in his crew are named which freaks me out.
There are Drones - which I am assuming is a leftover from a different era. I can't remember drones outside of Tau space existing in modern 40k (or 30k).
Lastly, considering the protagonist, I thought there would be more God-Emperor references. Sure, pops up here and there but nearly as much I would have thought.
Also, the troopers acconpanying him are all going to die.
