a/n:  I’ve had this baby marinating in my drafts since January, when I was going through my bi-annual Twilight Renaissance. I was actually in the middle of writing a RE2R Leon Kennedy fic today and decided to put on a twilight playlist, and then I just knew I had to finish this one. It’s my first *published* non-RDR fic heehee (I have so much in my drafts, it’s insane). Anyways, enjoy (pardners)!

It’s that dreadful time of year again.
The sun is making its curtain call as students from the nearby elementary school trip over themselves running home. Little girls and boys have sticky remnants of lunch peeking from the corners of their mouths and the grass is still slick from morning showers. But dusk is impatient in February, and its eagerness is encouraged in a town hidden beneath perpetual overcast nine months out of the year.
The school children ran past her window minutes ago when the sky had been painted brilliant indigo. Now, when she looks up the only thing left to see is her own dark reflection and the warm orange glow from a candle on the sill. Its tall flame stutters, collapsing and rising with the damp breeze.
A page turns, disrupting the otherwise quiet room. The only other noise that can be heard is a soft pitter of water dripping onto the floorboards from a coat hanging off the closet door.
She reaches for a mug sitting on the corner of her nightstand and promptly sets it back down upon finding it empty. It returns to its spot atop crumpled receipts and library hold slips belonging to the growing stack of books accumulating dust at her bedside. These books tower over the permanent nightstand residents: lazily discarded beaded necklaces, a sample bottle of floral perfume from Christmas, two little ceramic bunnies purchased from an antique mall in Port Angeles last summer, car keys, and drugstore chapstick. It might be worth convincing her to let go of some of these post-object permanence discoveries, but that is a matter for another time.
In a desperate attempt to comprehend the words she’s reading, she rolls onto her back and extends her arms straight in the air so the book hovers a foot from her face—a change of perspective to freshen the mind.
It does not help.
No matter how much she shifts or squints, the antiquated prose remains stubbornly uninviting. She can’t fathom why anyone would willingly subject themselves to something so archaic and convoluted and furthermore, recommend it as one of their favorite novels.
With a huff, she adjusts the headphones at her ears, hoping the music will clear her mind. But despite her best efforts, the book slowly drifts closer to her chest and her eyelids grow heavier as the music lulls her into a dreamless sleep.
When she wakes to cold fingers grazing her jaw it’s impossible to tell whether she’d fallen asleep or if she just blinked. The weight of the headphones gently disappears as they’re pulled off and set down on the nightstand. She grumbles incoherently and stretches out her legs, not unlike a cat after a long, difficult day of lounging around. Her eyes begrudgingly flutter open and immediately find him only inches away. He’s watching her, peering down with a twinkle in his amber-colored eyes.
“Edward…” she whispers.
“Dracula,” he says, eyebrows raised as he makes the observation. “I thought you didn’t like Gothics.”
She reaches a finger into the book on her chest and folds the page over before tossing it carelessly into the sea of knitted and quilted blankets at the foot of the bed. With the haze of sleep still clouding her eyes, she smiles sheepishly up at him.
“I’m trying.”
He chuckles lightly and brings his hand to her hair again, brushing stray strands off her forehead and tucking them behind her ears before leaning down to place a chaste kiss above her eyes. Though his lips are soft, the icy touch of his skin sends a shiver down her spine. He’s always cold; a result of his anemia, he says. However, the downpour that's dampened his hair and clothes to his skin has chilled him even more so.
In an effort to sit up, she raises herself onto her elbows and catches a glimpse of the bright red digital numbers on her bedside clock.
“You’re late, you know,” she chides, watching him settle uncomfortably at the head of the bed. He sinks down among the pillows, their plushness contrasting humorously with the stiffness of his demeanor. He reaches behind his back and tugs free a stuffed rabbit lodged between him and the headboard, then sets it down softly beside himself.
“I had to make a quick stop. I hope you can forgive me,” he says in a hushed voice, so as not to make too much noise in the resting house. His eyes flit towards the nightstand and she follows them to see a new item sitting amongst the disorder. A tall styrofoam cup with steam rising thinly from the lid. Coffee.
The mug she just finished sits right beside it. She’d considered brewing more but that was before being rendered unconscious by Bram Stoker nearly an hour ago. Her heart swells at his thoughtfulness, but a more pressing question comes to mind before she can voice her gratitude.
“How did you even climb up here with that?” She asks, reaching for the cup with both hands.
“I’m very…agile.” There’s a look in his eyes that tells her there’s more to it, but she chooses to ignore it for now with a shake of her head.
The taste is immediately harsh, significantly more bitter than how she makes it herself. Any trace of a smile dissipates and is replaced with a pronounced look of disgust.
“Good God, Edward,” she exclaims. “Decaf? What did I ever do to you?”
He laughs and takes it from her hands, leaving her still reeling from the unexpected taste. “As much as I love staying up with you, you need sleep,” he says, a hint of sternness in his voice. “You didn’t get any last night and you don’t hide it well.”
He says the last part sweetly, tilting his head to the side and following her motions with his eyes, watching her pick up the stuffed rabbit by its cotton paw.
“Don’t hide it well?” She repeats, the indignation in her voice contrasting with the softness of the toy as she raises it high into the air and brings it down against his chest with a soft thud. “Well maybe I wouldn’t have to hide anything if you—weren’t—keeping—me—up—all—night!”
With every word, the rabbit hits his forearms poorly attempting to shield himself from the blows. Edward grins as she attacks him, the soft toy barely making a sound against his arms. He watches as her hair falls across her face in the midst of the unrelenting attack, the warm glow of the candle casting a soft halo around her.
But then, his amusement fades as he sees the exhaustion in her eyes.
He gently takes the rabbit from her and sets it aside before grabbing her arm mid-swing and pulling her into his chest. She sighs heavily and surrenders, relaxing against him. "I’m sorry," he whispers, his lips brushing against her hair. “I’ll let you rest tonight.”
Despite his tender words, a residual half-baked frustration lingers inside her. “How did you manage to stay awake in class?” she mumbles into his sweater, the words muffled. “I mean, you didn’t get any sleep either.”
He chuckles, as if privy to some inside joke.
“Well, someone had to take your notes for you,” he says, his fingers trailing through her hair in a soothing motion. “And besides, you looked so peaceful drooling away.”
She looks up at him, a hint of a drowsy smile playing at the corners of her lips. “I did not drool,” she insists.
He grins down at her, his eyes alight with fondness. “Of course not.”
She groans and buries her head into his chest, to which he responds by encircling his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.
“I’m never falling asleep in front of you again,” she grumbles.
His chest rumbles beneath her cheek as he laughs. “Alright, angel.”
He shifts his hand from the crown of her head to the curve of her back, tracing languid circles over the fabric of her t-shirt as the room fills with a comfortable silence. The rain outside grows heavier, tapping against the glass with a more insistent force. Her body is warm against his and he can feel the steady thumping of her heartbeat as if it's his own. A few minutes slip by, and he senses her breathing even out and deepen. Without disturbing her, he reaches for a nearby blanket and drapes it over her, then turns his gaze to the candle on the windowsill.
“Sweet dreams,” he whispers, as the dwindling flame fades out of focus.
This is his favorite part of the day.
Vague arrays of soft, muted hues and shapes swirl around in his vision, overtaking the warm surroundings of her bedroom. They morph into recognizable figures after some time, and he can hear them speaking when he focuses. For the most part, they sound as if he’s underwater and they’re conversing on the shore. But every now and then, a clear phrase emerges.
Suddenly, the floating shapes assimilate into a figure resembling him and he realizes what this dream is. It’s a recurring one he’s particularly fond of. He settles in and pulls her closer as the scene ebbs between reality and distortions of the unconscious mind.
He can’t remember how he used to pass the night hours before he met her. Books, records, films--looking back, they feel hollow compared to nights spent like this. Part of him hopes he’ll never know what it's like to want for this. But these dreams, and her thoughts in the waking hours, assure him he won’t ever have to find out.

I Like Your Mind - Edward Cullen x female reader
Tumblr media
Summary: As soon as you meet Edward, you're both drawn to each other with an intensity you never expected
Words: 2.2k
Warnings: None
Y/N’s POV
I step into the Cullen house, my heart racing in my chest, and my mind filled with a mixture of fear and fascination. Bella has brought me here, introducing me to the family of her new boyfriend - Jasper Hale - and I can hardly believe where I find myself. I know their secret, the one they’ve been hiding from the world, the fact they’re vampires. And I know Edward can read minds which makes the whole situation even more daunting. But, as Bella races off to find Jasper, I’m left alone I the living room, taking in the stunning surroundings.
The Cullens’ house is unlike any place I’ve ever seen. The air is heavy with an unspoken history, and everything within is both timeless and modern. A grand piano rests against one wall, a dark mahogany masterpiece, and the soft notes of a melody linger in the air, a testament to the musical talents of the family. On the opposite wall, a massive bookshelf houses an impressive collection of novels and ancient texts. Their spines form a spectrum of human knowledge, artfully arranged.
My gaze drifts to the floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the room, offering a breathtaking view of the dense, ancient forest that surrounds the house. The trees stand tall and proud, their branches intertwined like guardians, protecting the Cullens from prying eyes. The afternoon sun filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows that dance across the polished wooden floors.
As my eyes linger on the tranquil forest, my imagination takes flight. I envision myself running through the woods, feeling the cool, damp earth beneath my feet. The leaves would crunch softly with each step, and the intoxicating scent of pine and damp earth would fill my senses. My heart would race, and a rush of adrenaline would surge through me as I lose myself in the untamed beauty of the wilderness. But, what captivates me the most is the idea of running through the forest in the rain. The thought of raindrops falling like liquid diamonds from the heavens, pelting the leaves and creating a gentle, rhythmic melody, sends a shiver of delight down my spine. In my daydream, I am drenched, my clothes clinging to my skin as I twirl and leap through the woods, liberated and carefree.
The rain washes away all my worries and fears, leaving only the exhilaration of the moment. It's as if the world, with all its complexities and complications, has melted away, leaving only the simplicity and purity of the rain-soaked forest. It's a feeling of utter peace, a sense of being one with nature and the world, a sensation I've longed to experience again.
Lost in the serenity of my daydream, I sense a subtle presence to my right. The hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, and a strange but not unwelcome shiver runs down my spine. Slowly, I turn my head to see one of the Cullen brothers standing there, a striking figure with sharp, chiseled features. He exudes an air of quiet strength and confidence, and I can't help but admire his physical appearance.
As I take in his feature, I quickly realise that this isn’t Jasper, as Bella would undoubtedly be with him if he were here. Besides, Jasper is known for his blond hair, which contrasts with the dark brunette locks of the Cullen brother beside me. His eyes, however, remain a shimmering gold, and their intensity is captivating.
Going over Bella’s description, I recall that she mentioned Emmett to be big and buff. Emmett is tall and muscular. He has dark curly hair and dimpled cheeks. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is light-hearted and carefree. This man in front of me is almost quite the opposite with perfect and angular high cheekbones, strong jawline, a straight nose, and full lips causing my heart to quicken with a sudden realisation. In a hushed voice, I tentatively ask, “Edward?”
The name hangs in the air between us, my uncertainty evident in the way I speak his name. The Cullen brother gives a small nod, his eyes holding a hint of amusement and there’s a small smile on his pretty lips as he says, “Hello.” His voice is a velvet whisper that sends a shiver down my spine. My cheeks heat up in response, and I can’t help but feel flustered by his presence. Turning my face away from him, I gaze out at the enchanting forest, using the breathtaking view to regain my composure.
But just as I start to calm my racing heart, I sense his movement. Edward is moving closer, somewhat hesitantly as if he’s scared to do so but he moves so close I can feel the coolness of his chest against my back. The physical proximity is both thrilling and nerve-wracking, and I can’t help but wonder what his intention are as I continue to look out at the tranquil forest.
The peaceful silence in the room is broken by Edward’s soft voice, barely above a whisper, “I like your mind,” he admits, his words sending a rush of warmth through me, “It’s quiet.”
His words wash over me like a gentle caress, and I can’t deny the intrigue of his interest in my mind. It’s a compliment I could never have anticipated, coming from a vampire who can hear the thoughts of others. The intimacy of this moment is palpable, and I can sense the internal struggle within him, as if he’s torn between his desire to touch me and the realisation that we’ve only just met.
Despite my rational thoughts screaming at me to maintain my distance, I surrender to the magnetic pull of Edward Cullen. My back leans into his cool, sculpted chest, and the sensation of his icy hands on my hips sends a shiver of anticipation coursing through me. It's as if the enchantment of the Cullen house, the breathtaking view of the forest, and Edward's irresistible presence have combined to create a spell that I am unable, and unwilling, to break.
Closing my eyes, I allow myself to become completely enveloped in everything Edward. I’m hyperaware of how he feels behind me, the firmness of his chest pressed against my back, the subtle rise and fall of his breath against my neck as if it’s a force of habit for him despite vampires lack of need to breathe. His scent, a delicate blend of lilac, honey and sunshine, fills my senses and intoxicates me, wrapping me in a warm, inviting embrace.
The moment feels intensely romantic, the air electric with the unspoken connection between us. I know that Edward can read my thoughts and perceive my view of him, and in this vulnerable instant, I choose not to resist. I grant him access tot he unfiltered depths of my desire, allowing him to see and feel the passion that simmers beneath the surface.
The tension in the room crackles, the rain outside intensifying as if mirroring the fervour building within us. It's a clandestine dance of two souls drawn together by an unexplainable force. In this silent, electrifying embrace, I become an open book for Edward, my thoughts and desires laid bare, and I can only wonder what he'll make of the desires that race through my mind like wildfire
With a slow and deliberate movement, Edward turns me to face him, his eyes open and unguarded. They flicker with a hint of vulnerability, as if he, too, is uncertain of the depth of this connection. His gaze drops to my lips, and I can feel the warmth of his breath on my skin as he hovers close. His fingers twirl my hair around them, an intimate gesture that feels like an attempt to memorise every part of me that he can reach. The air crackles with anticipation as I hold my breath, my heart pounding in my chest, The world outside seems to fade away, leaving only the two of us in this electrifying moment.
Edward’s gaze remains locked on mine, a silent promise of the depths of emotions and desire that lie beneath the surface. In the hushed room, our shared anticipation and vulnerability create an electric tension that’s impossible to ignore. His lips are tantalisingly close, and I can feel the coolness of his breath as he hovers near. It’s as if he’s about to kiss me, his intentions clear in the smouldering depths of his golden eyes. But he hesitates, his voice barely a whisper as he mumbles something about not being able to stop once he starts, a confession laden with both longing and restraint.
Unable to resist any longer, I tangle my fingers in his tousled hair, an intimate gesture that communicates my desire and intent. With a gentle, yet urgent push, I guide his face the rest of the way down until his lips finally meet mine.
As our lips meet in a hesitant and guarded kiss, a complex swirl of emotions and desires floods the space between us. Edward, despite his initial restraint, can’t help but respond to the fiery connection we share. His lips, cool and soft, brush against mine with a caution born of a lifetime of self-control. The kiss begins with a tentative exploration, as if he’s testing the boundaries of this newfound intimacy.
The initial hesitancy slowly gives way to a growing intensity, and I can sense his need for more. His grip on me tightens ever so slightly, fingers digging into my hips, a delicate balance between desire and restraint. His response is careful, as if he’s constantly aware of his vampire strength, wary of causing any harm to me. The kiss deepens, his passion building, and the chemistry between us becomes an irresistible force that pushes us further into uncharted territory.
With a slow and deliberate movement, he begins to walk me backwards, his lips never leaving mine, until my back makes contact with the cool glass of the windows, drawing a gasp from me. It has Edward smiling softly, golden eyes a little glazed as if in a trance of disbelief this is happening before his cold nose bumps my neck, making my pulse jump. I should be scared by how close he is to my jugular but I don’t feel any fear or anything, especially when Edward places a soft kiss on my jugular, a silent acknowledgement of the temptation that throbs beneath my skin. His lips are cold, but their touch is gentle, sending shivers of desire coursing through me.
My hands tangle back in his soft locks, guiding his lips back to mine, their coldness a stark contrast to the burning passion that courses between us. In that moment, I am both vulnerable and empowered, willingly allowing myself to be drawn further into this intoxicating dance of desire.
Each kiss makes me feel more alive, more connected to a world I never knew existed. The world outside may be drenched in rain, but in this electrifying embrace, a different kind of storm rages, a tempest of emotions and desires that we can’t control. His lips, cool and velvety soft, meet mine over and over again in a symphony of fire and ice, a fusion of elements that ignite a burning desire deep within me.
His body presses against mine, a solid and unyielding presence that leaves me feeling both vulnerable and empowered. The contrast between his cool skin and the heat of my own sets my senses ablaze. As we deepen our connection, the room seems to spin around us, and I lose myself in the feeling of everything Edward.
The room is charged with our passion, and I can feel it deep in my core. Every kiss is like a secret, a stolen moment in a world that is entirely our own. We lose track of time and space, our lips locked in an intimate dance that only intensifies the fever that has drawn us together in the first place.
But then, like a bolt of lightning in our own private storm, I hear Bella’s joyful squeal. Edward pulling away from me, and I let my face fall into the warmth of his chest, overwhelmed by embarrassment. As I hide from the world, I can feel the soft rumble of amused laughter in Edward’s chest, a sound that both soothes and electrifies me in equal measure.
“Fuck yeah!” Bells shrieks with joy and I flip her off over Edward’s shoulder as he wraps his arms around me, stifling a laugh as he can probably hear all of my silent insults and embarrassed thoughts thrown Bella’s way.
“It’s okay.” He murmurs, fingers carding through my hair and I just hum, letting my eyes flutter closed in contentment. I don’t care how quick this is happening, all I know is I need Edward and no-one else so I’ll live with the embarrassment if it means I can have Edward.
“You have me.”

10 things Edward Cullen loves about you
edward c. x fem!reader wanings: none! just edward being a simp and a lots of fluff, like a lot of
Tumblr media
To be clear, Edward loves every. single. part. of. you. In his eyes you are just perfect. There is nothing on you, that he wouldn't find perfect or beautiful. But he somehow sorted it out and wrote down what he loves most about you. Even though he loves everything about you.
Your height - it may sounds weird bur please let me explain. He loves your height because you are much shorter then him, no matter how tall you are you are still smaller then him. So whenever he hugs you, he can rest his chin on your head and he feels like he's protecting you.
Your laugh - especially if he's the one who made you laugh. It's like music to his ears and he can listen to it forever. So sometimes he starts tickle you out of nowhere just to hear you laugh. And he always laugh with you.
Your smile - he just love when you smile at him. Like when you wake up and look at him with messy hair, sleepy eyes and beautiful smile full of love. Or when he says something flirty and you scoff and then smile. Or when he picks you up in his volvo and you say 'hi' with the biggest and brightest smile, he can't help but smile too.
Your voice - it's music to his ears same as your laugh. You can talk about anything and he will still listen with hearts in his eyes. You can talk about how your day went or how much you love this and that, he really doesn't care he just wanna hear your voice. But his favourite thing to listen is when you talk about how much you love him.
Your body - he loves how your body looks and it reacts when he touches you. He is cold but not uncomfortably cold yk, like refreshing cold. So when he softly traces his fingers on your body and you shiver a bit, oh god he just loves it! He likes every part of your body.
Your face -he just finds your face incredibly beautiful. Every single time when he looks at you he just wanna kiss you all over your face. The beauty you hold is something magical to him, something he didn't believe existed, yet here you are with the most beautiful face in the whole world.
Your eyes - he can get lost in them for hours. He cannot get enough of the way how your eyes sparkle when you look at something you like. And he never miss the way they sparkle and get bigger when you look at him, how much love they hold when you look at him. And he looks at you the same way like you, maybe with more love;)
Your scent - it's like a drug to him. I mean it, whenever he smells your scent, he cannot think about anything else then you. You are his blood singer which means he loves the scent of your blood as well and it's like a drug to him same as your human scent. So he loves when he can just wrap his arms around you and bury his face into your neck so he can smell you.
Your touch - it doesn't matter where are you touching him, just touch him. Your touch is as addictive as your scent. Even small touches like holding pinkies. But he is over the moon when you play with his hair. It's so relaxing to him and if he could he would fall asleep. He may start 'purring' but don't mention it, because he will deny it.
Your soul - your beautiful kind soul. He's happy that you accepted him because he was really insecure, because imagining you leaving him or worst being scared of him when he told you he was a vampire was devastating. But you didn't, you stayed with him and you love him unconditionally as he loves you. He considers himself very VERY lucky to have you as his soulmate.

Edward Cullen having a crush on you :
*
- The moment you cross that damn classroom door, Edward felt a incredible pull toward you.
- The rapidity of it would be ridiculous. But we all know our melodramatic vampire, he loves to make things complicated.
- He would be in a huge denial. Absolutly disregard any possible feeling for you.
- Edward would actually be scared, 'cause he thinks what he feels for you was plain bloodlust.
- So obviously, he distances himself from you even before your first official interaction.
- You didn't know how to react to this, wondering what you did wrong but tried your best to not let it get to you.
- You two were almost forced together by fate, since you have to work on a history project together.
- His incredible knowledge of history surprised you and intrigued, asking him all the questions you might had and always receiving an answer.
- Edward actually really enjoy your curiousity and got more and more eager to answer you.
- Still, you don’t instantly get closer from that. But slowly, he warms up to you.
- You spend more time together, especially in the library.
- His family doesn't quite understand why he hangs around you. And if you asked him at that moment, he wouldn't know either.
- What he does know is that it's getting harder and harder for him to stay away from you.
- Your presence, the way you smile when he explains something to you, the movements of your hands when you turn the pages of your new book.
- The way your eyes met his...
- Edward made a huge effort to never focus on your mind and read it but sometimes he wanted to know what you were thinking.
- He'd spent a lot of nights laying on his bed and staring at the ceiling, replaying your conversations and moments spent with you, a smile grazing his lips unconsciously.
- Alice will get tired of his rambling about you but especially of his denial.
- Edward just couldn't bring himself to admit it, but the crush was there. And he was falling hard.
- As you grow closer, he becomes quite protective of you, as one could expect.
- When you hang out of Forks he is clued to your side, only leaving once he brings you back to your doorstep.
- Edward would be smiling and laughing way more often around you than with anybody else.
- Your whole relationship is really soft and slow but the feelings are there, and raising to the top.
- He would be showing signs of courting. Like, sometimes, out of nowhere he would come by to your house, to drive you to school and a tiny hand-picked bouquet flower will be waiting for you.
- Lifting your bag or books for you, holding the door open, glaring other 'suitors' away...
- "Let me get that for you..." He'd say and grab the book of the top of the shelf you couldn't reach, trapping you against his body.
- You would be constantly on his mind, almost driving him to madness. You managed to settle yourself in his head, but he would be a damn fool if he ever try to erase you.
- Now, everyday when he went off to school, he would arrive with a dumb little lovestruck smile on his face.
- But days aren't enough anymore and he regurlaly come through your window at night and observe you sleep peacefuly.
- He sometimes even clean up your room for you. And it's alway a nice surprise to find a tidy room, despite the fact it was certainly how you remembered it looked like when you went off to sleep.
- However, I don't think he would really act on his crush right away, but eventually... heh...
- No, it's better if you at least do the first step, just to reassure him.
- If you're too shy to explecitly confess your attraction toward him, don't worry you can be subtle, he notices the small details.
- When he notices your attraction, he isn't surprised by it (he is ecstatic don't get me wrong) but rather of his feelings for you.
- Edward would be in shock and need some time away from you, to clear his head.
- But like during the months since he met you, you kept coming back to him. He missed your shy warm fingers grazing against his, your oh so sweet scent, your words and smiles...
- You two had build such strong bound, you trusted him so much and so did he. He wanted to be truthful.
- To do so, Edward guides you through the woods, holding your hand in need be and brushing off leaves from your hair.
- He softly pushed you inside the beautiful clearing that laid in front of you, as he stayed put in the outlooks of the forest.
- So many doubts came whirlwinding in front of him but that caring smile you offered him, to invite him in... God, how could he saw no to you ?
- The vampire felt a deep rumbling in his chest as he took step forward, exposing his darkest self and feelings to you.
- "Don't crush my heart..." He muttered, knowing you wouldn't hear him, but all he needed know, was for you to see him.

"On foot
I had to cross the solar system
before I found the first thread of my red dress.
I sense myself already.
Somewhere in space hangs my heart,
shaking in the void, from it stream sparks
into other intemperate hearts."
--Edith Södergran, 'On Foot I Had to Cross the Solar System'
On one unfortunate night when you were seven, a drunk driver hit your parents car. Your mother on the passenger side died instantly, your father later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. You were injured severely, but the doctors managed to keep you alive... At the cost of your voice. Chunks of glass tore through and stabbed your neck; the damage to your larynx was the worst, the second was nerve damage. You could speak in a very harsh, almost whisper-like, voice but it caused an intense amount of pain. You were upset. You hated that driver for what they took from you.
Your aunt and uncle took you in, and were able to help you adjust as you grew. They learned and taught you sign language, they helped you cope with the loss of your parents as best they could, and were always supportive. Despite their work lives keeping them away, they always tried their best to give you attention when they had the free time.
You found ways to enjoy life again, particularly in the stars. They were almost comforting to you when you were alone, looking out your bedroom window. You weren't sure why you have such an affinity for space and what it holds. Maybe because your father brought you out at night to point out all the constellations and their stories. Those moments with him started your interest. And now, you believed your parents were amongst the many stars in the vast universe.
You grew content with not having a voice. You adapted and overcame the curveball life sent your way. You just wished the pain wasn't constantly lingering.
---
It was the day you started going to your new highschool in Forks. It wasn't ideal transferring to a different school, but your uncle's job called for it. He was a firefighter and he was offered a sizable pay increase and rank promotion to fire captain if he took up the position for the Forks station. Your aunt, a nurse, was able to transfer to Forks hospital. They discussed the idea of moving with you of course, and you not wanting to hinder your uncle's promotion or damper his excitement, you supported the move from California to Washington.
You could already tell this rinky dink school wouldn't have anyone that understands ASL and the school said they are still looking to hire someone to be an interpreter of sorts, so you were mentally preparing yourself for the mess you may be entering. At least you transferred only three weeks into the new school year, that would make any school work you needed to catch up on relatively easy. It also helped it was your senior year as well.
As soon as you got out of your car, all of the heads of the student body snapped in your direction. You guess they've never seen a new kid before. You make your journey towards the building, hoping that no one would bother to talk to you. You already saw a teen walk up to you, he had straight black hair and a toothy grin.
"Hi, I'm Eric. You're the new kid." He seemed friendly.
You offer a little wave and sign, hoping he would get the inclination you could not speak.
"Shit... I don't know sign except..." He gave you the sign sorry before pointing to his ears and back to you. You shook your head and tapped your throat. "Oh! You can't speak." You nodded. "Sorry about all the confusion. Welcome to Forks High, home of the Spartans. I'm pretty much the eyes and ears."
You simply nod along when necessary and smiled as he gave you the very quick run down of most of the immediate gossip of school, which was centered around you, the new kid. He seemed like a nice guy but glancing at the clock you passed by in the hall you knew it was close to your first class.
"And don't get me started on the Cul-What?" You interrupted him as you held out your schedule to him, pointing to your first class. "Oh yeah, guess class is starting soon. Lets see... you're in 103 for English with Mr. Baker which is..." He glanced up. "Right down the hall. I have History right next door."
You smile at his help and follow him through the sea of students.
You wave Eric goodbye and enter classroom 103. You felt eyes of everyone land on you, but none more eye-catching or captivating as the gold pair near the back of the classroom. His gaze was intense, eyes wide, as he stared at you. You held his gaze. You weren't sure what to think at the moment but before anything could come to mind, an older gentleman walked in and stole your attention. You assumed correctly this was Mr. Baker.
---
Edward was the first to arrive for his first period class. He was always punctual, but there was a difference now. He no longer had Bella in tow.
It was a mutual end to their quick relationship. While her blood did appeal to him greatly, the fastness of their relationship hurt them both emotionally at the end. It was purely fascination of each others beings that they mistake as something else. While it did hurt, Edward could admit to himself he wasn't distraught over it. They remained friends and he was content with that.
Slowly, other students began filling the classroom as the clock ticked on. Everyone filling seats they usually sat in despite there being no assigned seating. No one ever sat next to him, often feeling intimidated by his status as a Cullen. The vampire paid them no mind, occupying his attention to watching the typical Forks rain traverse down the window he always sat by. He tuned out everyone's thoughts the best he could, letting his usual melancholy about his nature linger in his mind.
Edward perked up when he heard an fast-beating heart breakthrough his attempts of zoning out. Shifting his focus to the doorway his eyes latched on to the new student.
You.
It didn't take reading thoughts to feel the buzz of a new student arriving in the small school.
He felt... strange. Much like with Bella, your scent invaded his senses and made him thirsty, yet, that wasn't what caught his immediate attention.
It was the eyes. Something about them captivated Edward. He wasn't sure what about them had him staring at you, who now stared back at him. The vampire attempted to discern your thoughts and he caught an inkling of curiosity starting to bleed out before the teacher took your attention away.  His stayed on you, and didn't pay him any mind or had any idea he wad, and focused his enhanced hearing on the conversation.
"Hello, new student?" The teacher greeted and softly spoke your name. The auburn haired male watched as the you nodded.
Edward's curiosity peaked when he finally heard their thoughts, clear as the days outside of Forks.
"Yes, that's me. Do you know sign?" He heard their thoughts as he watched their hands easily relay in sign language. I'm expecting a no they internally sighed.
"Oh shoot I wasn't told..." A worried look passed on the teachers face as his sentence trailed off. Edward can hear his thoughts complain that the school failed to inform him about the new student outside their name and grade. A look of exasperation briefly flashed on your face.
Who would of fucking thought Forks High, a small-ass school, would not inform their teachers. Fantastic. Wonderful. I love it. It was a pointed statement that had Edward both mildly shocked at the language and pretty amused. I wonder how much others outside of Eric will put up with me here.
Edward sighed. He knew he shouldn't involve himself with another human but he couldn't help it. Whatever captivated him and the resignation you mentally expressed already had moved him. He got up from his spot and quickly moved to the front of the classroom.
"Apologies, I don't mean to cut in but I know sign."
---
You blink at the golden-eyed student he approached you and the teacher. You felt a grateful smile tug on your lips as you faced him. Immediately, you felt some appreciation and felt good about being wrong on your previous assumption.
"Thank you, Edward." Mr. Baker smiled in relief. Edward gave the teacher a small, tight lipped smile at him and faced you. The teacher introduced you to him. "And this is Edward Cullen."
"I'm sorry for any inconvenience." Edward spoke as you signed, his voice soft and velvety. Observing his face, you watched as his brows furrow at your statement, which became almost a second nature for you due to the way your previous school treated you. You often faced irritated glances or your existence ignored entirely outside the feo close friends you accumulated.
"Please relay to them-" Mr. Baker spoke but you immediately shook your head and held up a hand.
"I am neither deaf or hard of hearing, sir. I just can't speak." Edward translated for you again. "I look forward to class with you both." A smile appeared on his face again.
"You too. And you aren't being an inconvenience at all. It's the fault of the school, really." Mr. Baker offered a kind smile. Edward left the two of you, as if knew he wouldn't be needed again. "Take a seat wherever you want, I don't do assigned seating unless it becomes an issue." Mr. Baker gave you a kind smile and gestured for you to pick out a seat, while he moved to the classroom computer. You take a glance around, only seeing three spots open.
Your eyes landed on the one next to Edward, causing you to perk up. Though, you hesitated, his small smile and the single, subtle nod assured you it was fine to sit by him. Holding your backpack strap a little tighter, you move between desks to join him.
---
Edward watched as you sat next to him. You offered him a quick smile before you started pulling out your notebook and your small pencil case. You didn't look over at him as you stared up at the board, waiting for class to start.
The vampire was curious and while he knew it was an invasion of privacy, he couldn't help but try and focus in on more of your thoughts. Except he was met with...
What? His brows furrowed. Edward felt overwhelmed for a moment, his sense felt almost deprived as he tried peering in your mind again.
Edward suddenly saw what he perceived as a galaxy. Stars, planets, moons, a sun... it was vast and it was breathtaking. It wasn't something he never saw before, this detailed, in a humans mind. He was able to view this scene for just a few fleeting moments until he suddenly felt warm energy push against his mind.
The vampire blinked. His presence was back in classroom 103. He glanced toward you. Paying close attention, he didn't see anything that indicated you were in any way aware of what just occured. He heard the teacher swear under his breath as he attempted to get the projector working, and used this moment to speak with you.
Softly, he called your name, bringing your attention to him.
"How are you liking Forks?" Edward recognized he was a bit awkward, but you gave no inclination that you minded or judged him.
"It's wet. But I don't mind it. The scenery is nice." You signed and it was as if the cosmos that warded him from your thoughts was lifted. Hearing your thoughts again after being blocked out by the cosmos left him perplexed and curious.
"Forks does have its charm in scenery." He chuckled. "But I assume that isn't why you moved?"
"No, but it definitely is a bonus." You smiled. "My uncle got a promotion so we moved up from California."
"What does he do?"
"He is now the fire captain here."
Edward had a kind smile and offered a small congratulations to him. He then spoke again, "What does your class schedule look like?"
You reached into your zip up hoodie pocket and pull out a folded piece of paper. Unfolding it, you slid it to his desk. His golden eyes scanned the paper and he felt some sort of happiness that your schedules almost align completely. The only class difference was your last two classes, which would have you taking gym and history without him.
"Looks like we will be seeing each other a lot. We have almost all the same classes."
That's a relief. Edward suppressed a smile at your thoughts. I hope we can be at least friendly with one another.
"Since we have most of our classes together, would you like to be friends?" He asked. He could already hear Rosalie scolding him for getting involved with another human, but he didn't particularly care what she would think.
You were another anomaly to his, otherwise, stationary life. He has no plans to try and initiate a quick romantic relationship again. He simply was curious to the stars that lingered behind your eyes.
---
It was nearing lunchtime. You glanced out the window of your math class while the teacher closed out her lesson and began explaining what the homework was going to be. You were very grateful for Edward sticking by you in each course. He was able to help you talk to your teachers, answer and ask questions, and made Forks high a little more welcoming.
You had met two of his siblings in that time frame, Emmett and Alice, who were both a delight. Alice already expressed how much she was excited to finally get to know you, which you assumed she was wanting to meet the new kid, and Emmett offered to watch your back in gym with the biggest grin you've seen on a persons face. It also warmed your heart to find they also knew sign too.
The initial worry of being a forever outsider like before began melting away. So far things have been pleasant unlike your last experience.
As you mind wandered off to old school memories of bullies and loneliness, you were still unaware of Edward trying to discern your thoughts again. You missed the look of confusion and frustration on his face. Although, you did manage to hear him make a noise that sounded like frustration, which snapped your attention on him.
"Everything okay?" You ask him. He glanced up at the teacher who was now facing the board writing the homework down.
"Just... wanting class to be over." Edward gave you a tight lipped smile. "Mrs. Johnsons' classes are usually a bore."
You nodded with a smile and silent chuckle.
The class bell rang, signaling an end, and practically everyone ran out for lunch. You eyed the crowd trying to leave and shrug your shoulders. You scribbled down the equations Mrs. Johnson assigned before putting your class materials away and preemptively pulled out your brown bag lunch.
You glanced to Edward while you both stood up. You weren't sure if you should continue sticking by his side until it was time for your last two periods or find your own corner to decompress. Perhaps giving him a break from-
"Are you ready?" His soft voice cut through your thoughts. You blink, pausing for a moment, before nodding.
"Lead the way." You smiled, though you were sure it came off as nervous. There will be so many people...
"Would you like to sit with my family and I, or would you like to go somewhere quiet?" You looked at him a bit shocked, were you that easy to read? You could see the twitch of his lip like he was going to respond but he kept quiet.
"Somewhere quiet, just for today."
"Follow me then."
---
Rosalie sighed as she leaned against the table, waiting for her siblings to join her and Emmett for lunch. She then looked to her partner and leaned against him, who laughed and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Her golden eyes followed Bella's form with a glare as she sat down with her friends.
"Come on, babe. Her and Edward have no hard feelings." Emmett spoke in a quiet tone.
"It's still a danger to us." She grumbled.
"Nope! She still becomes a vampire like us." Alice suddenly sat down with a bright smile.  Jasper was quick to sit down next to her.
"Even after what happened with the Volturi and James?" Emmett asked.
"Yep. While the course of her and Edward's relationship definitely changed, she still becomes a part of our clan."
"Great." Rosalie rolled her eyes and then glanced around at the table. "Speaking of Edward, where is he?"
"Probably off with the new kid." Emmett smirked. "They seem pretty nice. Edward's been helping them since they can't speak."
"Another human?" She looked to her partner then to Alice. "Did you..."
"Have a vision of them? Yes. The day before Edward and Bella parted their romantic relationship, I had a vision of them coming to Forks. And then after meeting them, I saw them and Edward, looking pretty close." She smiled and giggled.
"Great, another human who is going to choose to be a vampire." Rose scoffed.
"Rosalie-" Alice's usually bright expression drops. Everyone at the Cullen table looked at her with worry as it appeared her eyes glaze over. Jasper immediately gripped her hand under the table as he could feel a wave of sadness wash over from her.
"Darling?" Jasper whispered.
Alice blinked rapidly. She looked to the others with a worried expression. "I... I didn't see the specifics but... It wasn't their choice."
It was silent between them. Rosalie's eyes were wide, Emmett clenched his fist under the table, Jasper tried his best to calm everyone, and Alice simply blinked and tried looking to the future again.
She could see you, crying and writhing as the venom from a bite on your arm took hold, blood all over you. Edward and Carlisle were right by your side, speaking. But she couldn't hear what they were saying.
All she heard was a high pitched ring.
And then the vision flashes a blinding white and she swears she could feel intense heat against her face.
She was back at the table again with her family. It was the same vision as before. Never had she seen such a bright light, heard such a noise, or felt anything like that from a vision.
"We have to talk to Carlisle."

Edward Cullen's Mate
Edward Cullen/ Afab!Reader
cw: SMUT 18+ MDNI, oral f receiving, unprotected p in v sex, edward breaks the headboard hehe, and edward is completely enamored with you.
(I need to get this out of my system, been thinking about him a lot recently...)
this was supposed to be a short drabble but i just couldn't shut up
Tumblr media
reader pov.
Being with edward has been nothing but a beautiful and slightly chaotic ride. With finding out he wasn't human instead was a hundred something year old vampire along with the rest of his family. And then as your relationship grew as did the romance between you too, and that grew tenfold when the magnetic pull you felt for one another was because you were mates.
Fated to be together, equals, crafted for one another, you both completing one another and that never felt truer than now.
Body underneath his stony one, feverishly chilly lips leave a scorching trail of kisses from your neck to your bare chest. edward inhales your scent, and scent that didn't have him craving your blood like he was supposed to instead it calmed and aroused his body in a tantalizing mix. His eyes flick up to yours, pupils nearly completely dilated leaving behind a dark amber ring at the edge of his iris. Love and lust in his gaze has your body warming, and you knew that your gaze mimicked his.
"So beautiful. I'll never get enough of you my love." his word are spoken with nothing but truth. Leaving your shared gaze he continues his journey down your torso, soft hands caressing your hips squeezing the plump flesh before leading down your thighs to the backs of your knees. Mouth leaving behind love-bites upon your skin, each one sending jolts of heat straight to your core, evidence of your arousal staining the insides of your thighs.
Going lower with each kiss pulling your legs apart allowing him to sink further down, mouth right above where you need him most. A blush covers your cheeks and the tops of your breast, "Edward- you don't have to do that."
His gaze snaps up to you, and the sight of his head between your thighs with the full intention to bring you pleasure has you holding back a shiver. "I want to, God you have no idea how long I've wanted to do this. Can I ?" Why would you ever deny that? Nodding your head edward goes back to staring at your weeping cunt.
Hands tighten their grip on you before he's pushing them further apart and up, completely baring you to him. You watch as his mouth descends until you feel his tongue lick up from the bottom to your clit. softly wrapping the bud with his lips gently sucking on the bud, sending a shockwave of pleasure through you. A moan falls from your slightly swollen lips, seeing your obvious satisfaction edward continues his ministrations. Swirling his tongue a sucking in your clit, body lighting up in euphoria as a ball of pleasure settles into the pit of your stomach. Shaky breaths leave you as your gaze stays locked onto edward’s head, vision blurring around the edges as your mind begins to wholly submit to him.
Then his mouth is leaving your clit all too soon, but you don't have to wonder for long where he's going next. His tongue delves straight into your cunt, mouth covering the bottom half of you. Your eyes widen before rolling back into your head at the mind-numbing sensation of his tongue massaging your walls, pushing in and out of you. Then one of his hands is leaving your thighs and begins to swirl your forgotten clit between his fingers.
Your breathing is uneven breast rising and falling as you try to catch your breath. Heart racing as your body becomes so pliant and warm under his devotion. Your moans and cries of his name bounce around the room, hands going to his soft hair to tangle themselves within them, hoping to keep yourself grounded. The knot within your belly only tightens with each moment that passes. Your mind lagging behind as it gets lost within this pleasure, you realize a little late that edwards tongue has left you but his cool fingers have entered and taken the spot where his tongue once was. Curling up sweetly rubbing into your g-spot, a near-cry of pleasure leaves you at this.
The ball of pleasure that had settled within your core tightened and then you where cumming, as your cunt milked his fingers as they continued to abuse your g-spot. With your high fizzling out of you, thighs shaking with the intensity of your orgasm. Your eyes open looking down to see edward leaning his head against the one thigh he still had a grip on, fingers still buried within you and a smirk of satisfaction upon his face.
"You look so gorgeous when you cum." giving the inside of your thigh a sweet kiss before he starts to sit up, wrapping your legs around his waste. Face rising up to yours, his mouth comes down giving you a kiss that leaves you breathless. "Do you want to keep going?"
"Yes-yes, please." no shame, your words are full of need and edwards smirk brightens. "Of course my love, I am at your whim."
Reaching down taking edward by surprise, you grip his hardness, a groan leaves him at your soft hold. Lining him with your cunt you let him slowly sink into you. Your head falls further into the pillow as edward grits his teeth hoping to keep himself in control.
He stretches you out just perfectly, filling you up with no space left and your walls wrap so beautifully around him, so warm and wet and oh so welcoming to his cock. You were both made for one another as you slot together- bodies entwined with one another. "Move, Edward please." as your words leave you, he is obeying.
With near flawless movements he starts a slow yet deep pace, bottoming out to the hilt. Each thrust has you keening in utter ecstasy body lit aflame. But his pace begins to pick up speed as your cunt continues to push him to his limits by squeezing him, and with every pull out of you, your walls are trying to suck him back in. God he never knew he could feel like this, so wholly enraptured, this was his new drug and Edward knew that he would never want to part from it.
Your thighs tighten around his waist, arms leaving the bedsheets to latch onto his back. Nails digging into his stony muscle, as your head buries into his neck where his scent is strongest. Your sounds of pleasure are right by his ear, the most beautiful song he's ever heard. His arms leave your waist in favor of the headboard, harshly gripping onto the mahogany. Edward moans along with you as he tilts his pelvis down and up, kissing your g-spot with the tip of his cock. And with his pelvis hitting your clit with every thrust back into your cunt.
Your arousal leaks out staining the fronts of his thighs along with the sheets beneath you, your heady scent filling the space around you two. Edward feels the head board snap then crumble within his grasp and not a moment after that does he feel your cunt quiver as you cum, walls milking him as a gush of your arousal stains his thighs. An unfiltered moan falls from edward, completely in shock at this sensation pace becoming frenzied as he pistons into you with the sole intention to cum within your cunt. Your head has fallen back into the pillow body buzzing in overstimulation as your third orgasm nears.
"Edward-please, please, I need it." words broken up by moans as you barely get them out. Edward's body hunches over yours, hands coming down from the shattered headboard to the sheets beside your head before quickly wrapping around your body. Pulling your chest against his, a hand against the small of your back the other at the base of your head.
His body trying to get as close to you as possible, trying to bury himself within you. Cock bullying your overstimulated and weeping cunt that continues to welcome him in with every thrust, pace now rougher and faster. Each time his cock bottoms out reaching the end of you your moans are punched out of you, mind having turned to mush. Your ears are hypnotized by the heady squelching sound of your cunt along with edwards moans of pure pleasure.
Edward feels the painfully tight knot of pleasure in his pelvis snap, cock swelling as he empties himself within you, eyes closing from the heavy orgasm. That orgasm grows tenfold with you cumming again, walls milking his cock in an attempt to ring him completely dry. Slowing down his thrusts as you both come down from your highs, coming to a stop as you are both left in the aftershocks of your orgasms. Gently bringing you back down to the bedsheets, turning to the side with you still within his embrace. feeling your racing heart against his chest.
Ever so softly he begins to place chaste kisses upon your skin along with 'I love you's, soon your body is lulled into unconsciousness, as edward continues to give his worship to your body. As you rest he lays protecting and watching over you and with every moment that passes does he fall more and more in love with you.
His mate, made just for him.

“stay away” edward crawled backwards on your bed, looking at you nervously.
you crawled toward him, “i want to be with you” he shook his head “im dangerous. i’ll hurt you.” he spat, not wanting to hear of it.
“but i don’t care, i love you edward.” you inched closer to him.
“i read minds.” he got up quickly from your bed, knocking over a few items on your vanity. he scattered around trying to avoid you.
you pursed your lips in before shrugging. “i know” “i don’t sleep” “i know” “i don’t breathe” “i’m aware”
“i eat humans.”
you get off your bed and walk over to him as he leans against a wall tensely. you stand on your tip toes and hold his cheek in your hand, his gaze softening. his body physically relaxes and almost purrs at your touch.
“i know.” you whisper, kissing his jaw
“no.” he grabbed your hand. "i won't allow it." you pouted your bottom lip out slightly. “but.. but what about what i want?” you mumbled, batting your eyelashes.
“dammit, sweetie, you-“ he groaned, throwing your hand down and rubbing his temples. “it’s too much.” he backs up a bit.
you take tiny steps towards him and bite your lip gently. you look up at his gorgeous face and blink slowly. “please.”
he scoffs helplessly and shakes his head, closing his eyes. "don'tt.. don't do that." you raise an eyebrow innocently. "do what, eds?"
he growls lowly, "that thing you always do. i can't handle it." he sighs and grabs your delicate hand, pulling you closer as he kisses your knuckles. you look up at him and smile sweetly.
"i just.. want to love you."

~~~
Bass boomed around you, filling your chest with a dull thrum at every beat. The lights above you pulsated with different colors. Your arms felt sticky with a mix of sweat and whatever had spilled on the bar earlier in the night. The small glass pinched between your fingers held a pink liquid that you didn’t remember the name of, but it tasted like sweet berries and nothing like alcohol. That might have been why you had drunk three or four in the last hour without a second thought.
The sound of garbled speech hit your ears, and you turned in bewilderment to Jessica, standing beside you with a large grin. “What?!” You had to scream to be heard over the music.
“I said!” she started, grabbing your glass out of your hand. “I think you’ve had enough.”
A childish pout formed on your lips as you reached for the glass, but no matter how many times you thought you had grabbed it, you must have missed it by an inch. “Please! I paid for that!”
“Actually, a guy paid for it before getting shot down so hard I thought he might cry.”
“I’m taken, but that doesn’t mean I won’t accept a free drink.”
Jessica tried to stifle her giggle to remain stern but failed. “Okay, I’m just as guilty. But seriously.” She regained her disciplined facade as she put the drink back down on the bar and hooked her arm with yours. “I think it’s time to get some bad food and call it a night.”
You hadn’t realized how drunk you were until the mention of food made your stomach do a backflip, and you shook your head adamantly. “Maybe we just go home.”
“Yeah, I think that’s for the best. Let’s go get Ange and blow this place.”
You followed closely on Jessica’s very high heels, making sure to keep a hold of her. The staggering amount of people you had to walk through hadn’t fazed you before, but now that your head was spinning, it felt like walking through a fun house.
When you reached Angela, your head was swimming so much that you couldn’t concentrate on what your two friends were saying to each other. You only registered Angela’s relief at the prospect of leaving, and then you were all bee-lining it to the exit.
Once you got outside, the cool air quelled the nausea that started crawling up your throat. Angela and Jessica helped you into the passenger seat, and it was obvious to them how awful you were feeling. Jessica got in the back seat behind you and put her hands on your shoulders.
When Angela started the car, she quickly glanced in your direction. “Are you feeling alright?”
You silently shook your head, groaning a bit when the motion caused your nausea to come back. A rustling noise came from the backseat before Jessica handed you a plastic bag.
“Always prepared,” Angela quipped with a sheepish smile.
You leaned your head back against the headrest as the car started moving. “Thank god for that.”
Angela dropped Jessica off first, considering her house was the closest of the two. However, when she started turning around in the driveway, you realized that you shouldn’t go back to your house like this. You were sure that your house would be in an uproar if you arrived home close to being blackout drunk, and in the spur of the moment, you made an alternative decision.
“Ange,” you started, still hesitant about the choice. “Do you mind driving me to Edward’s place?”
She stopped mid-turn, raising an eyebrow at you. “Are you sure? I don’t know…”
“I don’t want to go home like this.” Seeing she was still not convinced, you added, “And I know he wouldn’t do anything. I’ll even call him to make sure it’s alright.”
She took some time to contemplate before she relented and nodded. You pulled out your phone and called Edward, already having him on your speed dial. It only rang once before he picked up.
“Is something wrong?” His voice seemed erratic, and you could only imagine what was running through his head. You had never once called him at this hour of the night.
“No,” you assured him, “I just wanted to know if it was alright if Ange drove me to your house. We were…out. I don’t want to go home.”
The silence signaled that he had the whole situation figured out. It wouldn’t be hard, considering your slurred speech. His lack of response started to create dread within you. Was he upset? How could he be upset with you for having fun?
“Do you need me to get anything for you? How are you feeling?” But he wasn’t upset. His voice was tender and soft as he asked.
You let out a small sigh of relief. “No, you don’t need to get anything. I’ll feel better when I see you. Ange is driving me there now.”
“I’ll meet you both at the end of the driveway and drive you the rest of the way.”
“That’s probably for the best.” You were about to hang up before you tacked on, “Thank you for this. I love you.”
He let out a light-hearted chuckle on the other end. “Anytime. I love you too.”
Your head felt airy when you hung up your phone, holding it to your chest with a dopey grin. The car started moving again, slowly inching towards the road.
Finally, Angela spoke up. “I’m taking it I can drive you over there?”
“Yeah, he’ll meet us at the end of the driveway. Oh, take a left here.”
Angela heeded your directions, and you couldn’t miss the smile on her face. “I’m glad you have him. You practically light up just by talking to him on the phone.”
You sheepishly put your hands up to obscure your face. You were sure you still looked like someone in an ad for a dating app with how wide your grin was. It wasn’t anything that could be helped, though. Edward always had that effect on you.
You continued to give directions (the best you could, considering how drunk you were), and after only a few wrong turns, you managed to pull up to the Cullens’ driveway, where Edward’s silver Volvo sat waiting for you like a carriage. He wasted no time coming to your door and helping you out into the cold night, thanking Angela profusely.
“Just make sure she’s sober enough for our brunch tomorrow, or Jessica will kill me,” Angela pleaded through her open window.
You gave her a weak thumbs up with the arm that wasn’t clutching Edward’s middle for dear life. With that, she seemed assured enough to drive back onto the road and into the night.
Lowering yourself into the Volvo, you looked at Edward with a smile, “You’re my knight in shining armor.”
“I would give that honor to Angela since she got you here safely, but I’ll settle for being your prince,” he answered cheekily. He kissed the tip of your nose as he leaned over to buckle your seatbelt.
You snorted and swatted him on the shoulder. “Don’t get too far ahead of yourself. You’re making me want to take back all the nice things I was going to say about you.”
“I could drive you home inste–”
“No! Nope, you’re absolutely the best anyone could ask for. Just get in here and drive so I can sleep.”
He laughed and got into the driver’s side of the car. The short ride back up to the Cullens’ house was long enough that you started to nod off, so when the car stopped, you didn’t even want to get up.
Edward opened the door for you, and he effortlessly scooped you into his arms when he saw your drowsiness. “You’re acting like a cranky child. You know that, right?”
“Mmm,” you muttered, hiding your face in the crook of his neck. “Don’t care.”
“I don’t even want to imagine your headache tomorrow morning.”
At this point, his amused words fell on mostly deaf ears as you fell deeper asleep in his arms. You didn’t even register how fast he had you into bed, with mere seconds passing before you were safely tucked away under the covers.
He was just about to leave to get you a glass of water when you clutched his shirt sleeve. “Don’t go.”
“I won’t be long. I promise.”
“You better,” you mumbled, reluctantly letting go. It was always interesting that he would let you hold him still, and he didn’t just break free from your grasp. He could do it easily enough no matter how hard you held on, but nevertheless, he would always stay until you let go.
Edward was only gone for the time it took you to blink, and he was back in the room, setting down the glass of water and a bottle of over-the-counter pain medication on the nightstand beside you. “I always keep my promises.”
“Yeah, just shut up and cuddle.” You pulled your arms out from under the comforter to make grabby hands at him. You were sure you looked ridiculous, but you couldn’t be bothered at that moment. Honestly, it was a miracle you were still awake and coherent.
He didn’t protest or say anything else, aside from laughing a bit, and crawled into the bed beside you. He made sure to lay above the comforter in the hopes that it would keep him from making you too cold throughout the night. You draped your arm over his middle and latched onto him before immediately falling asleep.
And he was right. Your headache the following day was truly awful. It had to have been the headache from hell because you could hear everything as soon as you woke up. And all that noise hurt worse than anything you’d felt in a long time.
He noticed as soon as you stirred in your sleep, noting the scrunched up expression on your face. “What’s wrong, love?”
“Headache,” you rasped out. You didn’t realize how dry your mouth was until you tried to talk. Before you could ask, Edward handed you the glass of water he had prepared the night before. The cool liquid soothed your throat instantly. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. And here, take some of these.” He gently laid two pills into your hand. “Those should help with the headache.”
You quickly took them, grimacing once they were down. “I don’t think I want to get out of bed at all.” You reached across him to set the glass back on the nightstand before deciding that you’d like to stay like that, so you laid across him lazily. “Everything hurts.”
“Too much alcohol will do that,” he teased, rubbing your temples with his cold fingers. The relief was instant, and he had a self-satisfied smirk on his face after your hum of approval. “You do remember that you have brunch with Angela and Jessica?”
You groaned and turned over onto your back, turning your face towards him. “I don’t want to go. Jessica’s the one that dragged me out last night.”
“I don’t think it’s fair to blame her for how drunk you got.”
You frowned but conceded, “No…it’s not. But I still don’t want to go.”
“Angela was adamant about me getting you to that brunch.” When he still hadn’t convinced you, he added, “I can drive you there.”
“In the Volvo?”
“Yes, in the Volvo.”
You playfully pretended to think about it. “Hmm…so you’re telling me I get to spend extra time with you and show up in an expensive car? I don’t know…”
“Come on,” he chuckled, picking you up as he escaped from the warm confines of the bed. You giggled as his cold hands held your waist, and he set you down in front of the dresser that had some of your clothes in it. “Get dressed, so I don’t have those two angry with me.”
You laughed even harder at that statement. “You’re afraid of Angela and Jessica? You?”
“Yes,” he answered with finality. “They’re intimidating.”
You both were now laughing before Edward finally calmed down enough to leave the room, allowing you to change. You opened a drawer of the dresser, your drawer, and picked out the outfit you wanted to wear for the day. Your whole body still felt like you’d gotten hit by a truck, but you couldn’t wipe the smile off your face. Even when you overdid it, Edward was always right there by your side. Through thick or thin, he was there. How had you gotten so lucky?
The honk of the Volvo’s honk snapped you out of your daze, and you looked out the window to see Edward leaning against the car. When he saw you through the window, he motioned towards the car as though it were a carriage. You rolled your eyes and made your way downstairs, endlessly happy. Edward truly was your prince, although getting you to admit it to him would take a bit more work.
God, all I wanted him to do was make me his slut. His whore. His anything, so long as I became his.
Funny. The human mind created something out of nothing, astonishing to Edward as he heard them come to life with a capriciousness. Words were processed and controlled, even halfway through a sentence. Thoughts were left unaltered. He could almost hear the synapses setting themselves on fire, catching this person in a fiery embarrassment when a second thought erupted.
Fuck, I shouldn't be thinking that. Isn't he, like, a super-senior?
The voice echoed in his head, and Edward let out a low chuckle at the slip of profanity. Normally, he wouldn't have caught wind of this, as Edward had years of experience choosing what to tune out and acknowledge as nothing but someone else's business. If he so pleased, he could listen to them, but it was like standing in a stadium full of people: it was a choice to either single someone out or let it all mesh together. But the thought was so direct—so passionate—that he had no choice but to be subjected to the unspoken words.
He presented himself calmly, standing perfectly upright. There was a small quirk of his lips moving upward as he spoke, "Don't worry, it's mutual."
"What?" You asked, yet even to stand from the routine call of the bell. Edward surmised that your question was simply a way of playing dumb, as your voice unspokenly echoed something different. Stay calm, he doesn't know, does he?
"What?" You asked, yet even to stand from the routine call of the bell. Edward surmised that your question was simply a way of playing dumb, as your voice unspokenly echoed something different. Stay calm, he doesn't know, does he?
Everyone passed in droves around the two of you, paying no mind to the conversation taking place.
"I think I feel the same way," he admitted.
Really, me?
"Really? How did you know?"
He's so perfect, even here. Even now. I must have a fever—there's no way this is real.
"I figured it out a few moments ago," he bluffed, "you stare at me like you're in a trance."
Fuck. Edward didn't break eye contact with you, making the crinkle under his eyes from smiling easily visible to you. He couldn't believe he made you feel like this.
"You think you feel the same way?" This must be a joke.
"I'm just not sure," Edward paused for only a moment to search for the best way to describe his point, "if us doing anything together is a good idea."
Is he closeted?
You stood, finally getting to his level, "I won't tell anyone, if that's what you're worried about."
You started slipping a backpack strap over your should, ready to start walking with the remaining crowd of people in the cafeteria to your next class. Unfortunately, you didn't share the class with Edward, so he would have to wait to continue this until later.
"Oh, by all odds, I would never have an issue with that. I'm referring to the fact that I might like things that you wouldn't be too keen on trying." People were freaks back then; historical recorders simply chose to omit those details. Edward was more than happy to try something taboo. "So, that's definitely not an issue."
You planned to say something else—what exactly that was, you weren't sure. Did he have a cell phone? Would he feel comfortable giving you his e-mail? What was he even trying to get with this conversation? You formulated a whole list of questions, unsure of where to start, but by the time you thought of the first one to ask, he was gone. He must have vanished into the crowd, you assumed.
Taking the long way to the class, dreading physics as it was arguably the worst subject you performed in, something came at you with a force and speed that was impossible. Well, you might have been wrong about that, but the pace at which your surroundings changed wasn't normal. That you knew. What you couldn't have known was who—or what—drug you to the bathroom faster than the speed of sound.
What the fuck was that?
Edward heard the panic in your thoughts, your blood rushing faster as the adrenaline kicked itself up, and attempted to sound reassuring, "It's just me."
"Jesus, you could have asked to meet up," you protested.
He held you close, ushering your back into the porcelain sink. The smell of your blood paled in comparison to some of the others he caught wind of, but he couldn't deny that it smelled delectable, regardless.
His words were soft, "Do you want this? I need to know before anything else."
You held a hand to his stone-like chest, staring into his dark eyes, "Yes, it's all I need."
Silently and hastily, without a single breath taken, he kissed you. He feared physical touch, running from it for decades, but in the end, it would never matter. His urges told him to kill you now, but time would kill you later. In the meager minutes away from you, he deliberated between two ideas: an intensely idiotic and risky move with a great payoff or a life of not knowing. Sometimes, hearing the things coming from other people's heads made it go to his own, and he caved. He took the risk, and let himself exist outside of hiding. He would have preferred to hold it forever, but you would have to resurface for air at some point so he pulled away.
"I do need something from you first. . ." He dragged, fearing to finish the sentence. How would you react? There was time to think about it later, near the time when he would ask for forgiveness. Maybe that would be in one hundred years or tomorrow, depending on how this moment went. And, in one swift dive, sharp teeth and cold lips met the warm skin of your neck.
He could feel you tense at the action, easing into it until you realized that he had bitten down until blood was drawn from two holes in the side of your carotid. Your mind held no words, but Edward felt something ruminating on the outer edges of your thoughts—a creeping feeling of actually enjoying it. You thought about shoving him away and running out of the bathroom, but he could catch up to you. He could kill you with nothing but his bare hands if he wanted; his speed was enough to prove it. There was a strange sensation of your blood flowing elsewhere beside your neck. You placed a hand on the cool sink behind you for support, helping him feast on you.
The thin layer punctured, blood spewed from the aorta and, with nowhere else to go, pooled in Edward's mouth. He swallowed the stream, taking strong gulps at first until he weaned himself down to small sips. He pulled away with an ichoric kiss comprised of saliva and blood to the wound, inking the area with red as if it were a craven lip stain.
"You taste perfect," he mumbled. As always, he wanted to drain you of everything you had. Your blood tasted complex, and he wanted to keep it as a thing to be served over every meal—preferably all while your heart still pumped.
A stream of red coursed out of your neck after the initial, along with a benign sting from his piercing. The lack of which acted as an etherizing pain-killer. The pain was there but only reminded you that you simply had to exist so as to be below Edward.
Skin tickling with warmth, he had never felt more dead in his life. He seemed to be reminiscing of a time long ago, eyes golden and lost.
After a moment, his eyes fell on you, and he started to feel unsettled as he set into his more human qualities. His compassion returned, tearing off his shirt and balling it up. His cold fingers brushed your neck as he placed the cloth on your cuts. "Here—for the blood."
Edward was impossibly near you, the sweet scent of lilac and honey wafting toward you now that he was shirtless. You only saw them for a moment, but his impeccable white teeth were a violent red as if he pulled a tooth out with no pain, only letting the blood pool and spill out. His chin, messy and incarnadine with your blood.
"What was all that for?" Your voice was weak and pitiful. You didn't think of anything that would suggest you were mad, solely curious.
In response, he undid the buckle of his belt and everything about his jeans. The sounds created a symphony of anticipation inside you, heart beating faster at the thought of seeing him. He didn't fully remove them, not wanting to tear his hand away from your source of bleeding, so he awkwardly shuffled his pants and boxers down to his thighs. Out sprung his cock, thick and reaching. It was the real monster here, searching for something to pierce.
You needed something else to think about for a moment, to combobulate yourself from that fact. "Does it—do I taste good?"
His thumb grazed from your jaw to your lips. "Open."
You listened, and he pursed his lips, tilting your head back with the hold on your chin and on your neck. A wad of saliva slipped past—red and glistening in the harsh lighting overhead. It landed directly in your mouth, and it tasted awful—bitter and metallic plaguing your taste buds. His saliva was worse than medical styptic. You jerked from Edward's touch and turned to the sink, ready to spit it out and rinse the horrid taste out of your mouth until Edward stopped you.
"Swallow."
Knowing what he could do, you listened to him again. His perceptive hearing picked up on your obedience as the softest swallow fell on his ears. You turned back to face him only to see a smirk on his face, "Good boy."
His hearing picked up on something else, too: the sound of where your blood gushed and circulated. Every place it reached, he knew of and was happy to know the steely rush to your crotch at his acts.
“Let’s see how good you listen,” he teased, baring his fangs in a confident simper to show the capability of his power. His hands fell on your bottoms, undoing them but going only that far. "You can touch yourself, but I want to see how long you can resist the temptation."
"Okay," you agreed, painfully disrespecting yourself by refusing the opportunity. A God stood before you, lean and chiseled, someone who exceeded more than words could describe. Even your thoughts couldn't capture it all, how perfect he looked—even bloody—and how his smooth voice cooed in your ear.
Edward, his cock still hanging out with impatience, lifted it with one hand while the other cautiously peeled the stained cloth from your skin and tossed it into the bowl of the sink behind you. The blood clotted and the stream stopped. His voice echoed a soft, "Turn around."
His hand dug between your skin and the fabric of your clothes, pushing down your bottoms. Cold fingertips circled your entrance, toying with the nerves by lightly tracing the ring of it over and over again. Edward promised himself that he would take you home and take things slower the next time. For now, he settled on using some of his spit on his dick, lathering himself in a mix of gushy blood and welled-up salivation.
His entrance was quick, just like his many other acts, but it did not go unnoticed. His size was invading, reaching and stretching into places it didn't belong. From his view, your hold looked filled by his wide girth, and he only hoped that he was long enough for it to feel good on your end.
His soft, golden eyes reflected in the mirror. He tried to gauge a reaction from you, his senses so high that he had trouble discerning your thoughts for a moment. After a few hip swings, lowering himself from the sensation of feeling slick warmth heating a fraction of him up, he could finally hear the thoughts swirling in your head.
Fuck, he feels so good! So painful. . .
He leaned into you, his gaunt chest pressing into you. He turned his head to your ear and uttered, "I want to hear it—out loud. You know what I mean."
You lulled your head back into him as he caused your whole body to shake with each thrust, "I need more of you, Edward. Fuck, I need it all."
His neck craned down, and his head followed, catching a whiff of the dried blood on your neck and placing a kiss on it, "Of course."
Deeper he went, slamming his hips further into you with a heightened desire. His full weight rested on you as a result but swiftly repositioned his hands onto the sink, covering yours. The smack of dead skin to flourishing skin echoed in the small enclosure. Edward was stiff, slipping up that he had to feign some sort of human reaction for a moment. He stopped forcing himself to breathe or blink, focused only on making your heart quicken and hearing that sweet red nectar rush through you like a high tide.
"Degrade me," you spat out. "Call me every name you got."
"You're a harlot—a whore, my slut," he growled. He sounded genuine. "Everything under the bright moon is mine, including you."
That did it for both of you. Edward kept his hips firmly pressed against your ass, the pressure causing the porcelain sink to start cracking under your hands. His cock flooded your insides with sticky white come, and you felt the crotch of your pants dampen as a mound of pressure released itself.
"Technically, you listened, but I was hoping to leave school early and head to my house."
"We can still go, if you want?" You offered while picking up the bloodied shirt from the sink and rinsing out the stains if left on the sides of the bowl.
"I think we have a project to work on—it might take a few days," he slyly suggested.
(Y/N) had always been the new girl. It seemed like every few years, her life took her to a different place, a different town. And now, she found herself in the small, rainy town of Forks. She had moved there with her family, seeking a fresh start after yet another series of changes.
Her first day at Forks High School was both exciting and nerve-wracking. She was determined to make a good impression, but her own insecurities lingered in the back of her mind. As she walked through the halls, she couldn't help but feel out of place, surrounded by unfamiliar faces.
"Stay confident, (Y/N)," she whispered to herself.
Despite her internal pep talk, those nagging thoughts persisted. She felt too skinny, her clothes hung on her slender frame, and she couldn't shake the feeling that she needed to lose weight. It was a constant battle against her own self-doubt.
Her first real challenge came in science class. She found herself paired with a strikingly handsome boy with unruly bronze hair and piercing eyes—Edward Cullen. As they settled into their seats, (Y/N)'s mind raced with unkind thoughts about herself, thoughts she would never dare say aloud.
“I'm too fat," she thought. "I should eat less. I need to look better in this dress. Why can't I be like the other girls?"
Unbeknownst to her, Edward had a secret. He had the ability to hear the thoughts of those around him, and her self-deprecating thoughts echoed loudly in his mind. He frowned, concerned by the harshness of her internal dialogue.
Before (Y/N) could dwell further on her negative thoughts, Edward leaned in and spoke softly, "You know, you look really nice in that dress."
Her thoughts came to a screeching halt, and her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. It was as if he had plucked her innermost thoughts from her mind. "Uh, thank you," she stammered, caught off guard by his compliment.
Edward smiled warmly, trying to put her at ease.
Her heart skipped a beat at his words, and for the first time that day, she felt a glimmer of self-acceptance. Maybe Forks wouldn't be so bad after all. As she exchanged a shy smile with Edward, she couldn't help but wonder if this small town held the promise of acceptance and maybe even a bit of happiness. (Y/N) decided to skip lunch that day, as she often did. Her nagging thoughts about her appearance still lingered, convincing her that skipping meals was the path to perfection.
She watched her classmates chatting and enjoying their lunches, while she sat alone at an empty table, lost in her own thoughts.
Just as she was about to convince herself that she wasn't hungry, a sudden voice interrupted her reverie. "Hey there, mind if we join you?" It was Alice Cullen, the petite and energetic classmate of hers, known for her vibrant personality and impeccable fashion sense.
(Y/N) blinked in surprise but quickly managed a polite smile. "Oh, not at all. Please, have a seat."
Alice and her adoptive siblings, Edward and Jasper, settled in, their lunch trays laden with an assortment of delicious-smelling food. (Y/N) couldn't help but feel a pang of hunger at the sight and scent of it all, but she held firm to her belief that she needed to be skinny.
Alice, ever perceptive, noticed that (Y/N) had nothing on her tray. "Not hungry?" she asked, her golden eyes filled with curiosity.
(Y/N) hesitated for a moment before replying, "I ate a big breakfast, so I'm good."
Edward, who had been quietly observing the conversation, spoke up, his tone gentle. "Are you sure? You didn't grab much for lunch. Here, have half of my Caesar chicken wrap." He pushed the plate toward her, offering a generous slice.
(Y/N) hesitated again, torn between her desire to fit in and her fear of consuming too many calories. She politely declined, saying, "No, thank you. I'm really not hungry."
Edward persisted, a playful glint in his eyes. "Come on. It's just a little taste. I insist, especially since I didn't see you grab much for lunch."
Alice chimed in with a grin, "Lunch is the most important meal of the day, after all."
Edward rolled his eyes playfully. "That's breakfast dope.”
(Y/N) couldn't help but giggle at their playful bickering. Their warmth and kindness were breaking through the walls she had built around herself. Maybe, just maybe, she could allow herself to enjoy a meal without feeling guilty. She took the offered half of the chicken wrap, her heart feeling a little lighter as she joined the Cullen family for lunch.
A few weeks had passed since (Y/N) first met the Cullen siblings, and while their presence had begun to chip away at the walls she had built around herself, old habits die hard. She still found herself skipping meals occasionally, even as Edward and his siblings extended their kindness by sharing their lunches with her.
One fateful day, as (Y/N) grappled with her inner demons at home, she succumbed to the overwhelming weight of her thoughts. The familiar feelings of self-doubt and self-loathing washed over her, and in a moment of despair, she resorted to self-harm. It was a cry for help, a physical manifestation of the pain she had carried for so long.
The episode landed her in the hospital, where she lay in a sterile, unfamiliar room. The hours passed in a blur until Edward appeared at her bedside, his expression filled with concern rather than judgment.
He gently took her hand and asked, "Why, (Y/N)? Why did you do this to yourself?"
Tears welled up in her eyes as she struggled to find the words. "Ever since I was a child, my parents... they were always obsessed with my weight. I was a bit overweight when I hit the triple digits before I even turned ten. And I came close to 215 when I was thirteen. They forced me to work out, try every diet under the sun, and the starvation... it just became a part of my daily routine."
Edward's heart ached as he listened to her painful confession. He knew that her experiences had left deep scars, both physically and emotionally. "What you're doing to yourself isn't healthy, (Y/N)," he said softly. "You deserve better than this."
(Y/N) broke down into tears, the weight of her years of suffering finally overwhelming her. Edward didn't hesitate; he pulled her into a comforting embrace, offering her a safe haven in his arms.
"It's going to get better," he whispered soothingly. "You don't have to go through this alone anymore. You have me now."
Her sobs began to subside, and she looked up at Edward with watery eyes. His unwavering support and understanding were like a lifeline in the darkness she had been trapped in for so long.
"How?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
"Because," Edward replied, his golden eyes filled with sincerity, "we'll face this together. You're not alone, (Y/N). We'll heal your heart and body, one step at a time."
Edward Cullen///If I Stay Any Longer
Tumblr media
Anonymous request: Hiiiii Edward’s and your marriage was arranged so in school so you both acted to be in love but inside he ignores you which makes you upset but you do yours things to ignore but when Bella comes you befriend her in which she introduced to you to her best friend, Jacob a.k.a. You know him since Edward has told you about him so you ended spending time with him making Edward jealous and you both ended getting into a fight making you leave to go to Bella’s house you tell her everything when you go back to your house you find out that your pregnant
Warning: jealousy, angst and Edward being an idiot
Edward and you have been married to each for years and yet he still pretends that you don't exist. It hurts you but you pretend that it doesn't hurt you. your marriage to Edward was arranged. So at school and outside Edward and you pretend to love each other and be the lovely couple. but when you both are home he ignores you. but you do your things to ignored it so you don't get sad about it.
Edward and you passed a new girl who was asking questions about your family and when she saw Edward and you she asked Jessica about the two of you and Jessica told her she looked over at you and you smiled at her and she smiled back
“Why are you smiling at her Y/n?” Rosalie asked mad since she saw that new girl and you were smiling at each other
You shrug your shoulders “just trying to be nice.”
She shakes her head “just because she's new doesn't mean you need to be nice, she's a human.”
Edward grabbed your hand “Y/n Rosalie is right even though she's a human she can find a way to hurt us if she finds out we’re vampires so don't go near her or talk to her if she talks to you ignore her.”
You shake your head at them you don't know why they were being like that. The new girl looks nice and friendly. you decide that you were going to befriend her. it's not like your family would find out that you befriended her after they told you no.
You were sitting down and waiting for class to start when she walked in when she saw you she smiled and waved at you she sat next to you she was about to talk to you but she was interrupted by the teacher coming in
“Hi, my name is Y/n Cullen.” you whisper smiling
She whispered and smiled back, " Hey, my name is Bella Swan.”
You were on First Beach on La Push with Bella since she wanted to introduce you to her long time friend you kind of had a feeling of who it was when you saw who it was you panicked
You were about to walk off when Bella stopped you and told you to turn around since her friend was here when he saw you he panicked too but he hide it
“Jake met my best friend Y/n.” Bella introduces Jacob to you not knowing that you both know
Jacob nods to you "nice to meet you.”
You nodded back "nice to meet you too.”
"I'm sure you guys will be friends as well." Bella smiles as Jacob, and you shared a look
You know Jacob since Edward told you bad things about him, but really you don't know him personally you have only seen him like twice that's it since Edward doesn't want him near you or for you to be near him
Ever since Bella introduced you to Jacob, you've been hanging out with him in his pack they were fine hanging out with you after getting to know you better and you promised to them that you wouldn't bring Edward and family near them
“I had so much fun, thank you for letting me hang out with the pack and you.”
"Don't worry about it, we love having you over." Jacob hugs you
You hugged him back "see you guys tomorrow?”
He smiles “of course.”
You left not knowing that a person was listening to the conversation this whole time and that person saw Jacob and you hug
When you got inside Edward was sitting on the couch with arms crossed and an angry face “where have you been this whole time?”
You rolled your eyes "hanging out with a friend."
"Friend? you mean friends I know you've been hanging out with Bella, that wolf and his pack after we told you no." Edward fumed
“You've been spying on me?” You growled
"You left me no choice, you canceled on us lately. I thought something was wrong since you been leaving the house for no reason but I didn't expect you to be hanging out with them. You've canceled us for them, I can't believe that you would do this to us.” Edward argued
“Because they're not bad people, they're good, I told you guys that I wanted to hang out with Bella but I didn't know that she's friends with Jacob. When I saw him I was surprised.” You argued back
"When you saw him you should've walked away but instead you decided to stay and be friends with that wolf and his pack.” He crossed his arms
“The things that you told me about Jacob are not true, his pack and him are really nice, better than the things that you said about them.” You chided
“And I can't believe that you hugged him back you shouldn't have.” He fumed
“Maybe because at least he shows me love and affection.” You murmured
“So you prefer him over me?” He sniffled
You sighed, “Maybe I do.”
“If you do so, then go marry him.” He quickly walks up the stairs wiping his tears
You went to Bella's house and knocked on the door, waited for her to open the door
She opened the door and looked at you sadly “another fight with Edward?”
You nodded as you went inside”this time is a big one.”
She sat next to you on the couch “what was the fight for if you don’t mind me asking.”
“Because he didn’t want me to hang out with Jacob, with his pack and you also because he saw Jacob and I hugged.”
“That’s stupid he didn’t have the right to tell you what to do or what you shouldn’t do.” She tells you
“Right, I don’t know why he’s like that if he doesn’t show me love.” You tell her back sadly
“Can I ask you something”? She asked
“Of course.” You replied
“Why at school Edward and you are the lovely couple? but outside you both act like you don't exist to each other?” She inquired
“Because we pretend to love each other well, he pretends to love me I love him and our marriage was arranged.” You confess to her.
“Marriage? You're married? ” She raised an eyebrow in confusion
“Yeah everyone in my family is married, they got married out of love while mine was arranged.” You tried to not cry but you couldn’t help it
“Why was it arranged?” Bella comforts you
“In order to save my family, they were in danger, so for them to stop I had to marry Edward. I thought through the time he would learn to love me but nothing.” You wiped off your tears
"Why was your family in danger and how did marrying Edward stop it? ” Bella was curious, but so sad for you.
“Well.” You explained
Flashback
“Our daughter is not marrying Edward Cullen.” Your mother tells your father
“We don't have any choice if she does marry him there will be no war, but if she doesn't marry him the war will happen. ” He tells her scared of the safety for the family
“It's all your fault if you wouldn't have started a war with the Volturi this wouldn't be happening. ” She tells him with anger
“I know there's nothing we can do.” He tries to hug her but she pushed him away
“Listen here if something happens to my daughter or that family makes her suffer you will regret it.”
end of it
“Wow, I’m sorry that you went through that. If you think that you can’t handle it anymore, I’m leaving forks soon you're welcome to come with me.” She smiles
“Thank you Bella, it means a lot to me but I can’t leave them here.” You thanked her with a smile
“If you don’t want to see Edward, you can stay with me tonight we can go for your stuff.” She stood up since you nodded
“So what is your family and you? Jacob showed me what his pack and him are but you?” She asks as she walks with you
“We’re vampires.” You whispered to her
“Wow, that's interesting.” She grins and stops, waits for you to open the door
You opened the door for Bella and you as the two of you got to the living room you saw everyone sitting on the couch “did something happened?”
Alice stood up “Edward told us everything sweetie he’s right you shouldn’t be hanging out with them.”
“Seriously Alice, I expected everyone to react like this but not from you.” you growled
“See Alice told you that she prefers that wolf over me, over us.” Edward tells Alice angrily.
“I am so done with everything Edward, I'm done with your jealousy and that you don't have any love for me, why should we be together? it's better to end before I end up getting more hurt.” you confess, trying to hide your tears.
“What are you trying to say”? He knew what you were saying, but he wanted to hear it fall out of your mouth
“We need to get divorced as soon as possible.” You try to not weep but you can’t help it
"Please, Y/N, let's talk before you come up with a solution.” Edward tried to reach you but you took a step back
You shake your head “no more Edward, I'm done with your coldness I want to be happy if that means getting the divorce.”
“Y/N, I think Edward and you should talk.” Jasper said trying to help since Edward was hurting and you as well
You looked at him “Jasper, I said no enough Edward and I are getting the divorce nobody is going to change my mind.”
“Y/N you're welcome to stay with my dad and me for how many days you need. My dad wouldn't mind, he likes you.”
“Bella.” Emmett warns
“I’m going to get my stuff packed so I can leave with Bella.” You were about to go upstairs but you touched the loft since you felt dizzy
“Are you ok Y/n”? Edward asks looking at you concerned
“Yes, I just felt dizzy for a second but I’m okay.” You tried to stand up but you couldn’t “I don’t feel too good.” You said before losing consciousness in Edward arms
You woke up in Carlisle office you saw everyone with happy faces except for Bella who was worried about you, you try to get up but Edward gently pulled you down to the bed
“What’s going on?” You asked confused on why they’re smiling except for Bella
“You’re pregnant Y/n.” Carlisle replies happily
You looked at him shocked “Bella, does your offer still stand of leaving forks? If so, can I leave with you?”
Can I request Robert Pattinson x shy Boyfriend reader where Robert takes the readers virginity and lets the reader fuck his mouth and ass while praising the reader?
Requestlist
Robert Pattinson x Male Reader
warnings: this isn’t good smut. reader is 19, Robert his current age. Age gap. sad reader, kinda depressed reader? Angst ig. Shy soft dom reader. Bottom Robert. idk kinda ditched the request sorry. Girl idk what tense i wrote this in
A/n: Realised i hate writing smut.
A/n: Couldn’t think of anything further. 300 likes, 50 reblogs for a part 2.
———
“I’m home!” I heard Robert say, then a bang. You flinched, like you always do. The door was always so loud, for no reason. He just came back from filming his new movie, ‘the batman.’ He was away filming for about 4 months, not including the months during and before covid-19.
Hearing his voice, made me smile. I missed him, I missed his smile, I missed his hugs, i missed his everything. There was a difference in hearing his voice over the phone and in real life.
You felt this warmth inside you once you saw him walking in the living room, a warmth that had been gone for a long time. You tried to smile, but you hadn’t been feeling the happiest for awhile, your smile was weak. But you tried your best.
“Hey baby, are you okay?” He asked me, noticing my forced smile. I felt so weak, and happy at the same time. He rushed walked over to the big couch i was on, getting on his knees to hug me.
“Yes, i’m okay.” I lied to him, my voice was weak. As we pulled out of the hug, i grabbed his face. “please, never leave so unannounced like that ever again.” I tell him, as i feel my eyes tear up. Trying my best not to breakdown. My vision went blurry, and breathing became harder to control.
As Robert tried to speak, no words came out. His eyes started to tear up aswell, he was lost for words. Regret was the only emotion he showed, it was loud. His jaw sharpened, and he chocked on his own words.
“I-i’m sorry.” he said also trying his best not to breakdown.
- time skip (tell if you want me to make an angst fic)
We where now laying in bed, watching tv. I was laying on his bare chest, my hand on his stomach. I felt him kiss my head, giving small kisses. I moved my thumb up and down over his stomach, knowing that made him feel a certain type of way. “fuck I missed this.” He says under his breath thinking I didn’t hear him.
I wanted to continue, but I didn’t know what to do. I have never done anything like this. My heart beat start to go quicker, I heard his do the same.
“Do you want to do this?” He asked me, knowing i had never done anything like this before.
“Yes, I want to do this.”
“Okay baby.” He said as he made us switch positions, so where he was now laying on my abdomen. I was confused by this, thinking in my mind he was a top. He took off my joggers.
“Wait, ur not a top?” I asked him, confused.
“No i’m not, is that okay?” He said.
“Yes ofc, just tell me what to do?” I reassured him
“Okay, well there’s actually not so much to instruct. Just kinda go with what you think you’re supposed to do, ill tell you if you need to stop.” He tells me, with a weak but beautiful smile. I can feel my cheeks turn red.
“Okay, go ahead.” I say, giving him permission. He took this opportunity and took of my underwear. He takes it in his hand and slowly moving it up and down.
I slowly started to get harder. He started to build ip the pace, making small twisting movements now and then. It gave me this feeling, i had never felt like this before. It was hard to describe.
“Fuck, I didn’t know you were this big.” He praised me, making groaning noises. He leaned his head towards it and started to give it kisses. Then out of nowhere he wrapped his lips around it. He moved his tongue in circular motions, going slowly up and down
I moaned, at first it hurt a little. But soon after that turned into a good feeling. You wanted rob to go faster, but you were scared to do anything.
“Can i?” I asked while grabbing his hair. He nodded yes, so you went for it. Moving my hand faster. *bop* *bop* *bop* I’ve never felt anything like this before.
“Fuck, just like that.” I moaned. I was holding his had still, and fucking his mouth. Hearing muffled noises from him.
end.
Beast
Edward Cullen x fem!reader (18+)
Summary: Edward is just a beast when it comes to sex lol
WC: 1.6k
Warnings: jumps right into sex lol, no build up
A/N: Batman got me back on the Rob train, which led me back to Edward. I don’t write him often so he’s probably ooc here but it doesn’t matter, this is smut. (p.s. back muscles hhhhhgghg)
Tumblr media
His name stopped on the tip of your tongue. You called for him, instead, with little gasps and moans. He answered with a slow blink, his head dipping to capture your mouth with his.
 Two fingers rubbed your clit in circles at a less-than-forgiving pace. He’d started slow, but the lust in the air fogged his brain. It was all he could do to keep you trembling and thrusting your hips to deepen the pressure.
 Your lips parted in another moan, swallowed down by him as his tongue lapped at the roof of your mouth. You shivered and gripped his shirt tightly, nails raking through the material to scratch at his back.
 Edward broke the kiss, his breath fanning across your face. You locked eyes with him, your brows knitted and your mind all but begged him to kiss you again. And what could he do against your sweet, persuading look, than to give in without a fight.
 He trained his thumb on your clit, fingers soaked enough to slip into you. Your back arched as he curled his fingers, the pads of his fingers rubbing amazingly against your walls. You bucked your hips to meet the thrusts, moaning into his mouth.
 The speed he flexed his fingers into you left your mouth open completely, blissed out of your mind. He near vibrated thanks to the vampiric agility. It didn’t take too long for your walls to squeeze around his fingers after he added a third, and your lower half spasmed around him.
 His whole hand had soaked by the time you gently pushed him and asked for more. More of Edward, even after he swore to you to contain himself. He feared what he’d do to you on a normal day. Again, though, your sweet, soft, moans that begged for him, pulled at his heart. And the way you moaned his name, spread your legs a little wider, and tried to pull him closer? It pushed him over the edge.
 He made quick work of unbuckling his pants and pulling them down. Caution went out the window the moment you two decided chancing this was a good idea. He held his dick in his slicked hand, coating it in your juices as he pumped himself a few times.
 You raised your head off the pillows to look at it. You hadn’t given it too much attention, flopping back onto the pillow and wriggling your hips invitingly. Gold eyes locked onto yours and he inched himself toward your hole.
 The tip just kissed your entrance before he stilled. Edward’s brows drew together in worry. You cupped the back of his head, threading your fingers in his hair.
 “I trust you,” you muttered sweetly.
 It was enough to crumble his resolve. What little part of him thought this idea was bad, Edward pushed it aside to grab the back of your thigh and inch it further away. He nestled himself close and dropped his eyes to focus between you.
 He pushed into you slowly, allowing you time to adjust to his size while he fought to maintain his composure. All the way to the hilt, he swallowed hard. It was too good, too tight, and so much. Your walls flexed around him and he lurched over, bracing one hand by your head as he squeezed your thigh.
 “You’ll let me know if it’s too much.” He posed it as less of a question and more of a demand.
 You nodded, nonetheless, biting your lip. What little pain had drummed up from him pushing into you had eased away. Edward read your mind, focusing on the pain aspect of your thoughts. He let go of your thigh to toy with your clit once more, his thumb swiping up and down the sensitive bud.
 Your thighs threatened to close, stopped only from him sitting between them. Edward cracked a smile at the curses that flooded through your mind. You were at your wit's end and just wanted him to move. It melted the tension from his shoulders. He had still hesitated in fear of hurting you until now.
 His movements started slow, hips pulling away from yours. You felt every inch of him shift, stuck in a tremble as he continued to flick your clit. Until just the tip remained, he snapped his hips into you.
 You both sucked in harsh breaths. You, out of pleasure. Edward, out of shock and a dash of guilt. He meant to be slow, but couldn’t help himself. His stomach twisted in knots until your mind’s filthy thoughts stole his attention. Your hands rested on his shoulders and pulled him slightly. He obliged and brought his mouth to yours.
 You wrapped your legs around his hips and all but kicked your heel against his thigh like a horse.
 Edward couldn’t deny it any longer. From how you wrapped around him to the taste of your mouth, he fully relinquished himself to his urges.
 The inhuman pace he set nearly rammed you into the headboard if your legs weren’t wrapped around him. You pulled on his shirt, a moan lodged in your throat, caught in painful pleasure. Your mouth hung open, tossed your head back, and you arched yourself into him.
 Edward dropped his head to capture your lips with his again, relishing in the broken thoughts in your mind. He rendered you blank, thinking only of him, his cock, Edward, Edward…It stroked him the right way.
 He broke the kiss and your lips chased after his. As much as he wanted to give you what you wanted, he also wanted to watch your cute expressions. You dropped your head to the pillows and cried for him. He chuckled until in your fit you exposed your neck. You continued to tug him toward you, unaware of the way his throat bobbed as he swallowed thickly.
 He bucked into you faster to distract himself. Impossibly, you’d think, but Edward managed to. He’d have broken a sweat from how he concentrated solely where you joined together and not at your pretty neck, shiny with your sweat. Your head lulled further to the side and Edward took it upon himself to cup your head and set you right up.
 It didn’t help. You leaned into his touch, exposing the side of your neck again as you struggled to match his pace. Edward unconsciously leaned toward it. His lips parted, fangs dragging along his bottom lip. Your eyes locked onto the canines, but you didn’t care. As long as he never stopped.
 More. More. More.
 Your thoughts encouraged him. Messed with his own thinking. His gaze trained on your neck. The wild beating of your heart and choked moans called for him. You arched your back, exposing your breasts to him.
 He dipped his head to the exposed skin, hoping for a brief distraction. His tongue flattened and swiped along one perky bud. He met your gaze and you shivered. It did nothing to distract him. His teeth grazed against your breast, aching to sink into something.
 “Edward,” you moaned.
 You swallowed dryly and the simple shift of your neck had him latch his mouth over your pulse point. His mind fell away, teeth closer and closer to piercing your skin.
 Your voice raised in pitch. “I’m close.”
 He was too. Closer to breaking skin, to tasting you. He didn’t know if he could stop once it happened.
 “Edward.” You cried.
 His attention broke away to the way your cunt spasmed around him. He groaned, coming to his senses, and pulled away from your neck to connect his mouth to yours. All your heavy panting and sweet moans were swallowed eagerly.
 The fangs sank into your bottom lip.
 Blood filled both your mouths, licked and sucked up by Edward. He grabbed your face, lost in the taste of you. Your walls spasmed around him. His shirt began to tear at the seams from how long you’d tugged at it.
 His pace became animalistic. You moaned deeply into his mouth and pulled him closer.
 All too soon, the bed broke under you. It gave you both a jump and you broke the kiss, a line of red saliva between you two. You shook your head, dizzy and dazed, and pulled him back in.
 Edward sucked on your lip, his thrusts bruising your pelvis. It hurt so good.
 A pressure stirred in Edward. It climbed higher and higher, and his thrusts grew more erratic. You completely tore his shirt as his orgasm hit. He broke your kiss to lay his forehead against yours, lost in the hot liquid pushing out of him, filling you completely.
 You moaned in his face, nails scratching at his bare skin and earning a grunt from him. The warmth pooling in your cunt from him sent heat all over you. Your walls fluttered around him and another orgasm took over you.
 Once the ride of the high was over, Edward stilled on top of you. He blinked owlishly before he saw blood dribbling out the corner of your mouth. In an instant, he made to pull away, but your legs’ grip served to keep him in place.
 “You’re bleeding,” he said.
 You shook your head and wrapped your arms around his shoulders. “Relax. I’m fine.”
 Whether you were or not, he wouldn’t know. Your mind had gone completely blank, blissed out from the sex. You tugged on him again and he allowed himself to fall into you, his head nestled between your breasts.
 You lazily played with his hair, licking the pinpricks on your lip. He focused on the rise and fall of your chest.
 Briefly, you both realized the bed frame needed to be replaced.
 Later.
Series Masterlist
"Bright Star, while thou thy lonely way
Pursu'st in yon expanse of blue,
Thy gem-like form and steady ray
Attract the heedless peasant's view...
...And fancy whispers in mine ear,
That those who once were here beloved,
To friendship and affection dear,
Now from this fleeting scene removed,
Repose, bright star, in thy ethereal sphere."
-- William B. Tappan, "To the North Star"
You sigh as you look at several outfits you laid out on your bed. It was Saturday and you spent much of your time getting the last few things unpacked before tonight. The former captain, the firefighters, and the sheriff decided to throw a party at the station for your uncle. Being his immediate family, you had to attend. Your eyes lingered on an outfit that would look nice but would also be comfortable and casual.
As you started getting ready, you began recalling the week you had at your new school. Like Emmett promised, he looked out for you in gym. Apparently, some of the students thought it would be funny to try and target the new kid in the various games the teacher had the class do. Emmett stayed by your side, helping catch dodgeballs or watching your back for 'stray' balls from volleyball. He was easy to get along with. You appreciated that he was more laid back and seemed to always have a smile on his face.
You met Jasper in history. You sat next to him with Alice on his other side. He was tense and looked like he was in pain. You wanted to express concern for him, but recognized through your own experiences dealing with chronic pain from your accident that it can be annoying to have people ask if you're alright. So, you gave him a smile and as the week came on you two were friendly. Alice helped with that of course.
Alice was already treating you as if you both had known each other for years. It was overwhelming at first, but you found that her bright smile and eagerness to talk with you endearing. She has already offered to take out for a shopping and lunch day several times, which you may take her up on next weekend if she were to ask again. You appreciated her friendliness.
You met Rosalie during lunch and met her a second time by your locker; hers and Emmett's were next to yours. Edward had managed to convince you to sit with them the next day after your first. She absolutely, drop dead gorgeous and you couldn't help but stare. You remembered the tense glare she gave you when you sat with them and you almost wanted to bolt out of the cafeteria. Her face softened though when Emmett whispered something in her ear and place a quick peck on her cheek. Still, she almost kept her distance from you and made very minimal steps in engaging in conversation.
The Cullen children were nice. You would be a fool if you couldn't tell there was something amiss with them. They all had matching eyes gold eyes though you noticed by the end of Thursday a few of them had nearly pitch black eyes. There were also times when Alice would stare off to space or Edward would laugh under his breath at nothing. You remember one day you brushed your hand against Edward's as you both reached for his fallen pencil, and you noticed how cold his skin was.
But, despite the discrepancies you've picked up, you liked them. They actually sought to engage in conversation with you since they could under stand sign. Their eyes never lingered or blatantly stared at the raised scars on your neck, not even when you first met them.
That's not to say everyone else ignored you. You had some students talk to you with the help of Edward or any of the other Cullens that lingered around you, but, you could tell quite a few were hesitant in speaking with you. You could feel their curious eyes stay on your neck until yours met theirs. You were used to that from your old school, though at least most of the people here were polite.
There have been a few mean comments and some weird rumors spread about you already. Most of them revolved around you being with Edward for most of the school day. You only heard their directed comments towards you in the morning before first period, when you weren't with a Cullen. You paid it no attention. Some remarks hurt, but as long as they didn't outright say it to your face or harm you, you let their remarks roll off your back.
You applied finishing touches to your look for tonight's party as you concluded your recount of your week at Forks High. You looked in your full body mirror, smoothing our creases in the fabric before approving of what you picked out for yourself. You wondered how the party was going to go. Your uncle, Robert, and your aunt, Phoebe, were bound to go off and converse with others.
Were you to just follow them around or would you stay in a corner until the night was over?
You close your eyes and sigh deeply.
You heard your aunt call your name downstairs.
"It's almost time to go, honey!" She yelled. You open your eyes and give yourself one last glance over in the mirror. You put on a tense smile before leaving your room, heading downstairs.
"You look great." Phoebe smiled, bringing you into a tight hug. You look at her and gave her a thumbs up. She looked good too, her dress fitting her nicely and her makeup was minimal but still beautiful.
When you first started living with her and your uncle it was almost too much. Phoebe looked so much like your mother, her sister. It took a few months to not see your mother in her, but thankfully your brain, despite the trauma you experienced, started registering her as Phoebe. You two have been close since.
"You look good too. That dress is always a good choice." You sign, smiling at her.
"I'm glad you told me to hold onto it. I can't believe I considered getting rid of it when we packed." She laughed and did a small twirl.
You heard a wolf whistle and look over to the stairs at your uncle, who had a cheeky grin as he stared at his wife.
"You look stunning." He winked to your aunt. He then looked at you with a smile. "You look great too. I like what you did with your hair."
"Wow, you actually know how to dress up, Rob." You chuckle, teasing him. Robert was a big believer in comfort and practicality over looking nice so it was rare to see him in something stylish like this.
"Oh ha ha." He said dryly but kept a smile. He glanced down at his watch and his eyes widened. "Shoot, we got to get going. I don't want to be late to a party thrown for me."
---
There were a lot more people at the fire station than you were anticipating. You expected the crew and their families and the sheriff maybe, but this was a lot more than that. Forks is a small place, maybe this was a rare event here. Regardless, you were glad to see many welcome your uncle to Forks and to the station.
It had been about fifteen minutes since you and your family arrived. You had met all the other firefighters and their families; met Sheriff Charlie Swan and his daughter Bella, who you recognized from your history class; and met various of other Forks citizens who came to meet the new captain. A few familiar faces from school floated around at the station too, though you only met three that were children to the other firefighters.
You glance to the large clock on the wall and glanced to your uncle, who was with the former captain. They were getting ready to go to where a microphone was placed in the station for a welcoming speech in about 10 minutes. You were standing idly by you aunt as she conversed with a few of the wives of other firefighters. Even if you could comfortably speak, you wouldn't know what to even talk about with these women. Your aunt discussed her career as a nurse while the others talked about their jobs.
You heard your name being said behind you by an all too familiar voice. Your face brightened with a small smile when you saw Edward. Next to him was a man and woman you've never seen but could tell they were also Cullens by their golden eyes.
"I didn't expect you here." You walked up to him, then glanced at the two with him.
"My father is the chief physician in Forks so he was invited." Edward gestured to the blond man.
"Hello, I'm Carlise." He offered his hand.
"And I am Esme, Edward's mother." She also offered her hand. You shook both, noting how cold their skin was. "Alice is around here somewhere, probably talking with Bella."
"Nice to meet you both."
"It's nice to meet you too, Edward here has talked a lot about you." Esme grinned, a teasing look in her eyes. You saw Edward give her a embarrassed look which made you silently laugh.
"Ah, the man of the hour." Carlisle grinned and step forwards. You jump a little when you see your uncle's arm from your side. You didn't even hear him approach with your aunt in tow.
"You must be Dr. Cullen." Your uncle grinned. Immediately your aunt and uncle and Edward's parents fell into an easy conversation, leaving just you and Edward.
"Are you having fun?" The bronze haired male asked.
"It is nice. I've mostly been following them around." You gesture to your guardians. "I am curious about the refreshment table though, so I may head over there."
"Would you mind some company?" Edward tilted his head slightly, his lips upturned into a small smile. You give him a nod and start making your way over to the food, he followed close behind.
One thing you picked up is the Cullens drew attention no matter what. You can see people's eyes linger on you and Edward. You noticed their stares when you met his parents. And if you could find Alice, you were sure people's gazes would linger. You got used to it in school, but it seemed more awkward when it appeared many people outside of Forks High had their focus on them.
"Everything alright?" Edward's voice was soft as he spoke.
"Yep." You give him a tense smile as you reached the table, looking over the contents.
'I just wish people here didn't have staring problems. Who cares if they look good?' You thought as you grabbed a small plate and started picking up things you liked. You swore you heard Edward chuckle next to you. You look back to him and gesture to the spread as if you were asking if he was going to eat.
He held up a hand and shook his head. "We ate before we came here."
You nodded and quickly ate what you picked out.
Right as you finished your last bite, you heard tapping through the speaker. Looking over to where they set up a microphone you saw your uncle and the former captain of the station. You throw away your plate and keep your spot next to Edward.
"Thank you everyone for coming!" Theodore, the former captain, greeted. Everyone clapped and a few people let out loud 'whoops.' "We are here today to welcome Robert Kennard to the station, our new fire captain."
Your uncle waved and smiled.
"Forks welcomes you warmly, despite the constant cold weather." Many in the crowd softly chuckles at Theodore's words. "And I can speak for the crew in that everyone looks forward to working with you." The former captain steps back from the microphone, letting your uncle step up.
"Hello! Thank you guys for putting this on." He laughed and raised a glass of what you assumed was champagne. "I was concerned at first. When I got offered the position while I was still down in California, I was worried about moving my family up here... starting a new life. However, their support has been unwavering and here we are now."
You heard him call your aunt's name and your name. You froze.
You could see your aunt make her way up to him but you were hesitant. It wasn't that you didn't want to support him, but you weren't sure why a sudden rush of anxiety hit you. You take a step forward but pause.
"Are you alright?" Edward asked softly, his thick brows furrowed as he leaned forward, maintaining eye contact.
You purse your lips and give him a subtle shake of your head. You saw him look confused for a split moment before his facial expression went back to concerned.
"Would you like me to walk forward with you?" You nod at his suggested. He nodded slowly with a small smile and placed a hand between your shoulder blades. Gently, he pushed you forward and guided you to the front. His form stayed next to yours as you moved through the people to get to the front of the small crowd.
When you got close enough to your uncle, you felt Edward's hand leave your back as you kept walking forward. You glance back over your shoulder and saw him waiting at the front, his golden honey eyes never left your form. You flanked your uncle on his right while Phoebe stood at his left.
"To my lovely wife Phoebe, thank you for encouraging me to take this step in my career. Your support has me falling in love with you every second." He leaned in and kissed her cheek. People in the crowd aww'd. "And to you," He looked to you with a smile full of fondness. "Your support towards mine and your aunt's careers has been so appreciative. Raising you as if you were my own has been such a treasure, thank you." He then hugged you tightly before turning to the crowd. "Thank you guys for having us here."
The people attending clapped and cheered. You smiled at how warm the welcoming was, though that feeling of anxiety still lingered. The three of you stepped away from the microphone as the former captain came up to give a final few words. You glanced around for either Edward or Alice, but saw them both in conversation with Carlisle and Esme.
You take a deep breath and excuse yourself from your family. You weave through bodies and made your way outside. The cold air immediately nipped at your face as you wrapped your arms around yourself. You walk over and lean against your uncles pick-up truck.
You look up to the night sky and smile. It seems like the constant cloud cover pulled back enough for you to see the stars and moon. You felt giddy at just how bright the stars looked. You felt at ease now. You felt comforted under the night sky.
'Ah Polaris, my old friend.' You sigh contently when you found that bright star shining brightly in the inky black sky.
"Are you okay?" Edward's voice startled you. You jumped a bit and looked back at him with wide eyes, your heart felt like it was racing wildly in your chest. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
"No worries, I assumed nobody would come outside." You offer a friendly smile, keeping your eyes on him as you felt yourself begin to ease.
"Parties aren't... my thing." He joined you, leaning against the truck. "Carlisle asked me to come along."
"I'm not big on parties like this either. I like smaller get togethers."
There was a brief moment of silence before he spoke again, repeating his previous question. "Are you okay?"
You exhale, your breath visible in the air.  "Yes. Just felt overwhelmed and wanted space."
"Ah. I can leave then."
"You can stay. I know you after all."
---
Edward smiled sincerely when you told him he could stay. Even though Alice and Esme did point out you left out and made comments for him to follow you, he chose to join you on his own. He wanted a moment of peace away from the other humans... and he wanted to explore your mind more.
He tried peering into your thoughts again as a comfortable silence washed over the both of you. Ever since you sat next to him on your first day at Forks High, he attempt to discern your mind. He was still confused at the presence of such a detailed cosmos that lies in your thoughts and how it wasn't always there.
Edward noticed he could always hear your thoughts when you communicated with him or others. However, outside of that he never was sure if he would be hearing your voice or viewing that space. He picked up you weren't aware of this. Nothing you ever did or said gave him any reason to suspect you were purposely putting up this galaxy to block him out. He also kept track at how the galaxy would coincide with your emotions. When you were stressed about going up to your uncle earlier, he could almost feel heat against his mind. He could see how bright the sun residing in the middle had gotten until he was pushed out, which was another thing he noticed.
It was like the galaxy was trying to keep him at arms length from you; always forcing him away from peering too deep into your mind.
Edward shifted his eyes to looking at the sky like you were doing, but his focus was purely on your thoughts. He saw the familiar galaxy once again and this time, it was the most serene he has ever seen it. The sun at the center, still bright, was calm. He didn't feel heat pushing him out. He just saw stars, planets, and various colors around. It was peaceful. Compared to the many thoughts from the party goers back in the fire station, this was nice.
Edward felt welcomed in this vast cosmos.
The scene melted away rather than push him out, causing him to look at you. You were now staring at him with an unreadable gaze.
"Do you know any constellations?" You asked him. It didn't take reading your thoughts to know how excited you were at the prospect of discussing this with him.
"No, I don't." He lied. In the 1970s he spent some time studying the stars. "But I take it you do? Can you tell me?"
"Sure!" He could barely contain the large grin threatening to form on his face at how excited you were.
He could hear your thoughts in tandem as you signed. You would tell him the constellation name and then point it out in the sky. You'd lean close to him, your arm barely brushing against his, as the the other raised up to the sky. He'd subconsciously lean in as well, easily finding said constellation on his own but he let you help him 'find' it. You hadn't mentioned to him before how much you adored stars, but it came to no surprise to him after seeing what goes on in your mind.
Showing him constellations came to an end when neither could see more through the lingering clouds. That didn't stop you from pointing out the brightest star in the black sky.
"The North Star represents guidance and direction." You explained to him. "For hundreds of years, it provided guidance to anyone who needed it in many ways."
'It helped after the accident.' Edward heard from your thoughts. It had him curious and he tried delving more but all he saw was space and felt heat keeping him at bay.
"You must really like stars." He smiled gently.
"Yes, I've been drawn to them since I was young. My dad was into anything space related, so I guess that's were it came from." You smiled, though the vampire could see a certain sadness lingering in your eyes. He then saw you shiver and immediately started shrugging off the coat he wore. "Wait, you'll get cold, Edward."
"Don't worry about me. I will be fine." He spoke softly, his lips upturned. He placed the coat over your shoulders and you gingerly slip your arms into the sleeves.
Confusion briefly flashed on your face. 'I expected some warmth. Ah well, this is still nice.'
Edward had to contain his chuckle at the thought that slipped through.
"Do you still want to stay out here for a few more minutes?" He asked.
"Yes, just a few more minutes."
---
It was near midnight when Edward slowly opened your bedroom window. He felt some guilt as he waited for you to finally fall asleep, but his interest in your mind hand him wondering what he would see when you were unconscious. Would that galaxy appear to him when you were asleep, or would he have full access to your dreams?
He easily slipped into your room, leaving the window open. His eyes scanned around at the various posters you had placed on the walls and the decorations lying around. He saw one half unpacked box in the corner then shifted his gaze to you, tucked under your covers in a deep slumber. There were a few plushies in bed with you and he couldn't contain a small smile when he saw one on the floor. Carefully and silently, he walked over and crouched down. He picked up the stuffed cat and leaned over, setting it aside next to the others. He found himself back near the window and zeroed in on your mind.
He saw a grassy field and a woman sitting on a blanket. He heard high pitched giggles from who he assumed was you as you ran around. It was clear he was seeing your memories. You were running, squealing, and giggling in what Edward could make out as a park. You glanced behind yourself as you ran and could see a man chase after you. He could make out the similarities in his face with your current face. Suddenly, you tumbled and hit the ground with an 'oof.' Your father immediately helped you up and sat you on his knee.
"Aww, poor baby. Are you okay?" He cooed.
"Yeah! My leg hurts, but I'm fine!" You giggled. Your father held your leg and your focus was now on your bloody knee.
"Hmm, you must of snagged it on a rock. Lets get you back to momma, my little nova." You were lifted up and Edward watched through your memories as you were brought to your mother on a picnic blanket.
Suddenly, he thrown into a new memory. He suddenly felt dread in his being.
It was dark.
He could hear what sounded like a car blinker non-stop clicking. You groggily blink and Edward started making out that you were upside down. He heard gargling and pained noises come from you. Your eyes barely focused but he started making out you were upside down in a car at night. He can see bright lights from the front and shards of glass. Then he sees all the blood and what looked like a severed arm on the ground. It was attatched to a feminine hand with a gold band on the ring finger.
"Sweetie? Oh God..." He sounded in pain and like he was crying. Edward then heard your name from your father. "Nova please answer me. Fuck, please."
You responded, but it wasn't a word. It sounded like you tried to say daddy, but it came our jumbled and wet.
"Nova-!"
Suddenly, all Edward could hear was a high pitched noise. It was the same he heard when Alice replayed her vision to him. A blinding light filled the car.
Then, it was that same galaxy. However, it was turbulent. He could see planets shake and stars dim. A sun, larger than ever glowed brightly before an eruption from the Sun's atmosphere blasts out and hits hum with intense heat. He stumbles back as his vision is back in your room, right as you woke up gasping for air.
Without you catching him, he was out of your room and in the forest. His eyes were blown wide and if he had to breath, he knew the wind would of been knocked out of him at all he viewed. He felt the sting of venom-tears fill his eyes.
"Fuck..." He muttered and sat down on the forest floor. His fingers carded his hair before he clutched tuffs.
