Paps realizes that the human is very intent on trying to beat the Gauntlet Of Deadly Terror, as they keep on repeating it. Paps keeps pulling them out once their HP becomes dangerously low, prompting Player/Frisk to load up a SAVE file until they’re satisfied.

Papyrus is glad that the human is being kept interested by this, but is also a bit concerned, wondering if he’s gotten himself stuck in a new loop.

Or this makes no sense at all idk it’s 2 am lmaoo just a thought.

THIS TIME I HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT I'M DOING

Underground, around between the Ruins and Snowdin

"How boring". Flowey looked at the human killing Toriel. Those timelines were kind of repetitive. Always doing more or less the same things: killing a certain monster instead of another, interacting in a certain way or in a different order... Most of the things kept repeating, as if the human didn't have any idea of what to do, but kept playing just because they were able to. Flowey followed the human as they got out of the ruins. Man, couldn't they just let them the control over the world? Even they seemed bored. Then he noticed someone in the woods. They were looking at the human, following them. The flower got near the person and... Papyrus?!? What is he doing here? Why is he following the human? He is supposed to be at his centry station! As he got near, he noticed the skeleton's expression. It was worried, a little bit scared, but also tired. When the human met a random monster and killed them, Papyrus did nothing but stare. If the human stole or broke something, he just sighed. The only moments where he got out of the woods and spoke to the human were when the trama asked it. What was happening?? Flowey decided to investigate. After the color tiles puzzle, he got near his friend and tapped him on the boot to catch his attention. The tall skeleton noticed him and half smiled. "O-oh, hello Flowey". Just a 'hello'? "What is happening?" The flower started. "I noticed you're following thus human everywhere with a very worried expression. Are you ok?". Papyrus sat down while the human walked around Snowdin. "Yes, I'm ok. Don't worry about me" he said. Flowey looked at his friend. That expression... He already saw it. On another face, but it was the same. Is the expression of someone that knows something that never wanted to know. His eyes widened. "You know about the resets, don't you?". Papyrus seemed like he wasn't expecting a question like this. "You... You know too?" He asked. "The flower rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, i remember too. When did you started remembering the timelines?" The skeleton's smile got a bit smaller. "Honestly I lost track of time. It seems like a thousand years and at the same time just a few days. It's... Confusing". Flowey then asked: "why are you following the human?". Papyrus got up as the human started heading towards Waterfall, and explained while walking a few meters behind them: "to try to understand his next moves and how the timeline will go. For now they never killed anyone in Snowdin, but I saw a trail of dust from the Ruins when they got out of there. I have my suspicions, but I can't be sure for now. They could be trying to reach an ending where Undyne became the queen, as it could be Mettaton or Alphys. Maybe the dog" he added in the end. Flowey looked at him surprised. "But... You know that for most of those endings you-" "I have to die. Yes, I'm aware of it. But everything will reset, so... It doesn't change much anymore". Flowey stopped as Papyrus got on his spot in the middle of the fog. This... Wasn't something he was expecting. Not only the fact that he remembers about the resets, but the fact that he was ok with dying. Even him finds it annoying at least. The flower tried to imagine the moment his friend figured out what was happening. Such a naive and energetic guy, he must have had a very bad crisis. He looked at the human killing Papyrus. It seemed like he was right. For a second, flowey thought he felt something similar to sadness while looking at him dusting away. Oh well. Now he just had to wait for the next reset.

I recently found a very cool alternative universe called "Existencial Crisis" where Papyrus remembers the resets, and I couldn't help but thinking about "what Flowey thought when he discovered this thing?". I didn't found a canonical answer, so I kinda created one. THIS IS NOT CANONICAL, I'M NOT PRETENDING TO OWN THIS UNIVERSE, IT BELONGS TO @havockingboo !!!

Okay so hear me because this might have been done before. An undertale au school au where the humans, the sould as well as any child monsters are school staff while any adult monsters are students

The Staff

The Annoying Dog- The superintendent 

 Frisk- the beloved principal

Chara- the vice principal with no patiences for trouble makers

Asriel- the school secretary, the teacher in charge of the gardening club, and on demand substitute.

Monster Kid- Substitute gym teachers 

Ralsei- One of the guidance counselors and home economics teacher

Susie-  Crossing guard

Kris- Former Principal now janitor

Berdly-  Math, Science, and Reading teacher, also the teacher in charge of the anime and gaming club 

Noelle- The Music teacher

Clover- The Truancy officer

Kanako- The Art teacher

Mooch (IDK if Mooch is a child or not)- Security guard

Cody also known as Gab (Green soul)- Part of the lunchroom staff

Batty also known as Percival (Purple soul)- History teacher 

Flo (Name taken from @s0ckh3adstudios) (Blue soul) - is the dance teacher. Is the least enthusiastic member of the staff

Lex End- The no nonsense head of the hall monitor. Favorite subject is history

Neverdead- Was bullied, but a talk from Kai was enough to get them to stand up for themselves and rat the bully out. Favorite subject was science. Is not related to Undyne in anyway

Mic- One of the top jocks in the school only behind Undyne. Will go to bat for anyone

Coach or Bufford- Because of his helpful nature gained the nickname coach and given that he is Julian’s assistant coach it makes sense

Anansi- The eight armed book worm, and shares Mr. Berdlys passion for books. Tried to start a book club, but only got one petition from Gerson. Is not related to Muffet in anyway

Oren and Staug- The “trouble” making duo who hang out with Sans to pull pranks.

Yellow

Chujin- The third smartest kid in school and Ceroba’s boyfriend, got kicked out of the anime club twice when he tried to petition Ben 10 be listed as an anime. Got sick and hasn’t returned to school yet

Ceroba- Chujin’s girlfriend and his biggest hype man. Is a cheerleader and was “coerced” by Kanako to join the anime club

Starlo- Apart of the hall monitor with Ed, Morray, and Ace also member of the gardening club. Some say he joined the club due to Dalv but that’s only a rumor

Marlet- The most energetic student next to Papyrus. Favorite subject is art as Kanako allows her to build things with wood. She also a member of the hall monitors, but once was caught by Starlo doing something bad and had to serve detention 

Dalv- A member of the gardening club and a rather skilled pianist.

Base Undertale

Asgore- A big old softie and the founding member of the gardening club. In a fit of rage once punched Chujin for destroying some of flowers

Sans- The smartest kid in school, brilliant but lazy. Put all his energy into pranking and especially pranking Vice principal Chara

Mettaton- The most popular kid in school, the guy everyone (except Chujin) wants to be friends with and beloved by all staff including Chara. Did an absolute solid for Alphys

Alphys- The second smartest kid in school and member of the anime club. Her and Chujin did similar science projects, but hers ended up winning because  Asgore was judging

Undyne- The all star jock of the school and second member of the anime club. Has broken all the schools records, then broke em again. After Lex stepped down as head of the hall monitors Undyne stood up

Papyrus- The energetic brother of Sans. Is banned from economic along with Undyne for unfair reasons. Tried to become a hall monitor, but was rejected for being to nice. Has gotten A+++ in all classes

Toriel- Broke up with Asgore and is dating Sans. Is a student teacher with Ralsei in home ec.

Brainstorming scenarios for the au which of course means a lot of out of context moments that may or may not happen in the au hehe

People have asked for more art and info on the AU, and I will deliver all in due time! For now, I’ve got this little snippet very early on after Gaster’s disappearance.

Sans isn’t… entirely comfortable around his newfound brother just yet. He didn’t know he existed, much less that he would meet him this way. But it’s easier to just… call him his brother and keep things quiet.

Papyrus on the other hand is extremely confused. He’s woken up in a strange and unfamiliar place with these odd people, and he can’t really remember what happened before that. He assumes he must have been in a sort of stasis in the labs, it’s how his brother Sans was made, wasn’t it?

How each skelebros were when they were teens?

13: Imma be honest this one threw me for a bit of a loop. 

SansHe was a weird amalgamation of a  band Geek and the class clown. One of those teenagers who would practise their instrument all the time, make it to all the band rehearsals and also be a huge disturbance to any class while somehow never getting below an A on tests. He’s trombone basically never left his side and he would pull it out to play whenever he got a chance.

PapyrusHe was a nice jock. Participating in all sporting events and helping anyone who he thought needed it. He liked exercising and found team sports a good way to make friends and work out. Of course not many monster underground wanted to be on sports team but that didn’t stop Papyrus from being the only member and crushing it. Sans of course played at all his games.  

RedJust a lot of pent up rage. He would yell at anything and everything and always seemed to be mad at something. A lot of this was because of the new hormones and sexual frustration he would experience. This is probably when he stopped cleaning his room and even started locking the door. He didn’t want his little brother to walk into anything unsightly now did he, plus it was to much of an effort to wash his sheets every night.

EdgeThis is where he really got into looking after his appearance. Mettaton had just become a thing and he’d scoff at the robots attempt at ‘beauty’ he knew he could look better than that pathetic excuse of a ‘star’. Basically his teenage years are when he began to spend hours in the bathroom in the morning getting ready for the day ahead of him.

BlueHe was very energetic, like way more than what he is now. He wasn’t entirely sure how to deal with the new hormones so he outsourced the energy, mainly into cleaning. The skeletons house has never looked so clean before. This is the time were he learnt all the little tips and tricks of cleaning and basically the root of his clean freak tendencies.

OrangeHe’s still just a super chill guy. Like he hasn’t changed much since when he was a teenager. He liked sleeping and smoking, even the town bullies enjoyed his company. He probably started smoking when he was a teenager before stopping because Blue asked. He picked it back up again when the resets started.

BerryWay more bratty and demanding than he is now if you can believe it. He wasn’t afraid to punish (brutally attack) people  either if they didn’t go along with whatever it is he said. And the tantrum, god damn where they loud. Syrup was the only person who could calm him down when he got that way and even then he would probably just let his brother throw the tantrum. Berry was and always has been a spoilt brat.

SyrupWas quiet, like you think he’s quiet now he basically wouldn’t speak to anyone, half of snowdin was convinced he was mute. Of course he was also a lot more reckless when it came to killings. He didn’t really care if he was caught or not, he just did it to feel something. If you did hear his voice back then, you were either his brother or won’t be a problem in the next hour.

BONUS

Axe and CrooksThese two are the home ec, kids. Always in the kitchen cooking something up before handing out the goods to the other teenagers around town. There’s nothing really odd about them besides the fact that they insist on bringing “meat from home” to use in the kitchen.

The au no one asked for

Undertale highschool au where everyone is a student or teacher. Just some headcannons.

Mettaton: President of the drama club and school bully, but no one really minds. He slams you against the locker and instead of blocking you with his arm it’s his leg. Will shake you down for lunch money but he’s pretty polite about it. “Now darling let's make this easy, you give me your lunch money and I won’t have to destroy that pretty little face of yours.” He’d still be friends with Alphys who’s this science weeb and clearly a target for bullying but he never does. Alphys is the one who helped him practice his lines when he was first getting into drama. Mettaton is in every play.

Papyrus: Member of the drama club, home ec, and wannabe royal guard. He’s got a natural flair for the dramatics and Mettaton needs more of that raw talent. His favorite class is home ec but he makes some kind of pasta every time even if the assignment was to make a dessert. He made a dessert pasta, the teacher didn’t even know those existed. Wants the join the Royal Guards hockey team but Undyne won’t let him.

Undyne: Captain of the Royal Guards and member of the anime club, music.. Knows Papyrus would be pretty good at hockey but won’t let him join in fear of everyone of his bones breaking. Encourages everyone to do their best in her own really aggressive way.

Sans: Goalie for the Royal Guards, student teacher, is in music class. Sans is somehow in all the classes at once, even the ones that happen at the same time. He never does homework. He’s usually awake for science and music class, as well as lunch because “lunch period is also a class.” Always roots on his brother. He never shows up for practice so Undyne is always threatening to kick him off, but he’s the best goalie they’ve had in years.

Muffett: Home ec and accounting. She’s in charge of every single bake sale and fundraiser that involves baked goods. Refuses to haggle prices lower. She actually haggles up when you try.

Toriel: Teaches a really specific class about snails. She’s in a portable. Asgore could be the principle and whenever he tries to correct her about how to do things “in his school” she just yells out her window “IM NOT IN YOUR SCHOOL” and slams it shut.

Napstablook: stagecraft and music class. Like the weird kid who never talks to anyone. He also works on the sound mixes for all MTT’s plays. Not on speaking with terms with MTT until Frisk fixes it.

Monster kid: Middle schooler. Is in Toriel’s snail class. Is in most of the same classes as Frisk. Probably follows undyne to all her classes. Carries her books.

Burgerpants: stagecraft and MTT’s Personal errand boy. Smokes pot behind the school. He’s in stagecraft because he thought it would get him in more productions, now he’s just Mettaton’s errand boy. He ends up being tree #2 most of the time. Not even #1. If he’s lucky.

Nicecream Guy: Accounting and yearbook. Runs the year book with Catty and Bratty. Makes nice comments about people.

Catty & Bratty: Year book. They give Mettaton his own page. Mettaton, basically has multiple pages cause he’s heavily featured on the drama club page.

W.D. Gaster: Science teacher??? A science teacher who’s never there and is instead replaced by like ten rotating subs. The one time he comes in he blows up the chem lab. Sans and Alphys are 2 of the rotating subs as student teachers. Except those days you don’t do science. Sans either teaches something so advance no one gets it, or spends the entire time making science puns. You watch Ghibli movies with Alphys. But in dubs because “you get the emotion the director was going for.” Alphys is too nervous to actually teach.
