This year's costume is Poison herself!

I admit to doing this as a bit of a rush job (panicked a little because a few of my Snazaroo paint pots are MIA) but here is what I used for everything:

I got a rush of blood to the head earlier and fucked around with makeup for a bit. I was leaving the house, so it had to be on the human woman disguise end of the spectrum.

I think it doesn't look awful, especially considering it's been like a year since I last tried to do anything with eyeshadow at all. I discovered very late into the game that I didn't have eyeliner handy, so I had to put on some mascara as I ran out the door and hope for the best.

I'm so shortsighted without glasses that I literally cannot see when I do any kind of eye look, so trusting the process takes on a big role here, lol. Luckily though between the chunky framed glasses and the hooded eyelids, I can get away with a lot of mistakes and clumsy application that I would have a harder time getting around otherwise.

In terms of the rest of what's going on, I think I needed either more blush with this or a less heavy hand with the bronzer, because my cheek kinda just looks bruised in the photo to me. But like I did this whole thing in half an hour, with only the mirror from my eyeshadow palette and the terrible artificial lighting in my room, so I'm gonna cut myself some slack here.

#I think I used all trixie cosmetics and e.l.f. stuff except for a mabelline mascara?#oh wait the highlight was from somewhere else #fenty?#if that's the one rhianna started #I broke out the new eyelash curler I got recently though #and it worked great #this was the only time I've ever curled my eyelashes successfully #and the only time I didn't punch my eyelids in the attempt #I think my old eyelash curler was a bad shape for my face or something?

Hi guys,

I have been reading all your lovely comments about what products I should try new and a few people mentioned trying out e.l.f Cosmetics products. I was looking for any excuse to go shopping so I headed straight to Boots to see what products looked fun to try out.

Straight away I was drawn to their Glitter Melt Liquid Eyeshadows (£6.00) , I love using the R.E.M Beauty ones so I was looking for a drugstore dupe and honestly I think I found the best one. E.L.F. has 5 colours in this collection, I decided to pick up the rose gold shade called Flirty Birdy.

I honestly adore this shade because it seems to work flawlessly with whatever colour I use as my base. Anytime I add this glitter to a matte eye look, it just transforms the look into a glittery disco vibe and I am here for it! I heard everyone raving about these glitters for a while and honestly I don't know why I didn't try them sooner, they are insanely pigmented, affordable and they have a great shade range.
