!!!! The makeup you had in the pics right after the haircut is AMAZING can you post a tutorial or what products you used??
LOL yeah my go-to eye products right now are
★e.l.f Bite Size Palette in ‘Truffles’
★Urban Decay Shadow Stick in ‘Roach’
★Urban Decay Eyeliner in ‘Whiskey’
★Mac Paint Pot in ‘Boujie’ and ‘Princess Cut’
★A Natasha Denona single I got with my Sephora points that’s….. idk the shade name but it’s a shimmery gold glitter!!!
★Too-Faced Mascara ‘Better than Sex’ (this one is meh in my opinion but I use the travel size so it probably just got clumpy faster lol)
that’s it :P I just sorta smudge all the shit around too. I miss the way I used to do my makeup in like 2020 but that shit was SO dependent on the type of pencil eyeliner I was using at the time AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS LOL….. It was so dark and rich and creamy…. blended amazing while also being long lasting and incredibly pigmented…… I haven’t found a liner for my waterline like that since 🥲 either it’s too waxy and doesn’t bled or it blends but I blink it off in like 20 minutes or it isn’t a ‘true’ black and is too soft and less striking LIKE THERES NO WINNING

E.l.f Cosmetics' 2024 Super Bowl commercial and why it does work for digital media
Tumblr media
"Judge Beauty," e.l.f. Cosmetics' 2024 Super Bowl commercial, is ideally suited for digital success for multiple reasons. First of all, it makes use of well-known figures from pop culture, such as Meghan Trainor and Judge Judy, to draw in a large audience and their corresponding fan bases. With the help of this tactic, the advertisement will be shareable on multiple social media sites, such as TikTok, where user-generated content with celebrity endorsements frequently does well.
The theme of the advertisement, which promotes reasonably priced beauty products, is in line with current consumer trends, especially with younger audiences who are becoming more value- and price-conscious. On social media sites like TikTok, where conversations about easily accessible cosmetics are prevalent, this message strikes a powerful chord. e.l.f. Cosmetics stands out in the beauty industry because their calculated price increases have been matched by discernible improvements in product quality. The value they provide in terms of product performance and innovation has grown dramatically, even though their prices may have gone up a little.
In addition, the advertisement's shareability is increased by the presence of well-known faces from programs like "Suits" and "RuPaul's Drag Race". The content will likely be shared by fans of these shows within their own networks, expanding its audience even more. The humorous and captivating plot of the advertisement also makes it a great choice for sharing brief excerpts or highlights on social media sites like Instagram Stories or TikTok. The e.l.f. advertisement is ideally suited for digital consumption because these platforms are built on bite-sized content that can grab users' attention fast.
In addition to making the advertisement funnier, the allusion to Judge Judy's famous remark, "Beauty fades... dumb is FOREVER," supports e.l.f.'s emphasis on making wise decisions over appearance. It's a clever but perceptive comment that appeals to buyers who value knowledge and reason when making decisions about what to buy.
Furthermore, the advertisement gains a degree of relatability and authenticity from its subtly humorous jab at specific celebrities who might value appearances over content. Positioning itself as a brand that prioritizes substance over superficiality, e.l.f. aligns itself with Judge Judy's no-nonsense approach.
All things considered, e.l.f.'s Super Bowl commercial masterfully blends humor, sincerity, and a powerful message about the changing definition of beauty. It demonstrates the brand's capacity to establish a more meaningful connection with customers while hammering home the idea that affordability and quality can coexist.

Q1 Empties & Declutters
let's see what has left my possession. most is skincare because duh I use that like twice a day everyday. we start with my proud empties and lead into the shame that is my declutters
e.l.f. Cosmetics Jelly Pop Luscious Lip Mask - this smelled so heavily like artificial watermelon flavoring? Felt like I was smearing melted candy on my lips. It was a fine lip mask though. I don't like my products to have any scent at all so even if I was given the chance to repurchase, I wouldn't. Pretty sure it's discontinued anyways.
innisfree Dewy Glow Jelly Cream - It's a gel moisturizer. A while ago I had some samples from innisfree and I hated pretty much every moisturizer since it was just too rich for my oily skin but this is good, doesn't take like six hours to dry down like some of their other products.
Dear, Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream - I'm going to miss this. I had the tube version which I think(?) had more product than the jar. It did what it said it would, it was hydrating and soothed any irritation in my skin. Pretty pricey though so maybe I would buy it again when it goes on sale.
VUE DE PULANG Frozen Cream - I really like this! I stick it in the freezer for a few hours but you could use it at room temperature. If frozen, it's kind of like scooping shaved ice and it melts into the skin. Nice chilling sensation that lingers a bit. It feels hydrating and dries down even if you slathered on a thick layer. My second tub actually, might opt for a third, might not. Probably not because I get bored with products easily and like switching things up.
Jin Jung Sung Soothing Moisture Skin Essence - It's a thick liquid in a nice glass bottle, I don't refrigerate it but it feels nice and cool nonetheless. Makes my skin feel nice and soft. Might repurchase or use again if my mom has a spare stashed somewhere
e.l.f. Cosmetics Holy Hydration! Daily Moisturizer Mini - What's the difference between this and the face cream? Other than texture? Fuck if I know. This has a noticeable fragrance which I hate with a burning passion, it smells like how Airheads Candy Bites (Original Fruit, Watermelon) taste which,,,, might be a hyper specific reference but my brother got gifted a box of them and I've been chipping away at it. It's fine. Not the candy, that's good, I'm talking about the moisturizer. Will I buy the full size? No, not unless there's a fragrance free version, it's on sale, and I need a new moisturizer ASAP.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Pure Skin Moisturizer Mini - Huh. I don't know what I expected but it wasn't this that's for sure. How did I even get a moisturizer to be streaky? You need to really rub this in to get it to not look like you dipped your face in paint. Also sometimes it stings when my skin's extra irritated. Anyways this feels like nothing on the skin and leaves me matte which I guess could be a good day cream situation. I don't think I'm going to go out of my way to get this but it's ight. Maybe I just need to stop being so fucking aggressive with my hands who knows
AOA Cherry Blossom Lip Oil (Avocado/Cherry) - Scent isn't overwhelming (it's there but like. Only a little though) and it applies just fine. The flocked applicator you usually see with lip products seems like an odd choice since it do be soaking up product but to be fair a lot of other lip oils are packaged with that kind of brush. I don't know if I just go through lip oils quickly or if there really isn't much product inside (probably both) but this really didn't take long at all. I like using an oil as a base before putting on balms/creams because my lips really are that crusty as to need this many products slathered on. Maybe a repurchase, maybe I'll try other lip oils. Can't beat $1.88 though.
Florence By Mills Hit Snooze Lip Mask - Fuck no. The texture was fun, felt like jello kinda, no noticeable scent or anything but it dried my lips out and putting on a thicker layer just made it worse. Wish this worked for me since it's a pretty good amount and again, it's fun to touch but I can't be bothered with lip products that don't immediately improve my lips. This was in one of those holiday gift sets with a tinted lip balm I also hate lol live and learn.
Florence By Mills Oh Whale! Lip Balm (Candy Cane) - I don't have beef with the lip balm portion, I just don't like the color. It's a bright bright hot pinky red that I think looks bad on me and also doesn't vibe with my preference for darker, grunge lips.
The Creme Shop Permanent Popsicle Lip Juice Stain (Eternally Grapeful) - Yeah no I couldn't handle the grape scent. Call me weak I Do Not Care. Once you open this bad boy up it hits you like a truck. I described the smell as artificial grape candy but now that I think about it that would imply it's at least a bit sweet. This is cough syrup. I will miss this color but also it's nothing revolutionary, I can find a purple elsewhere. Probably in my collection already too. This hasn't soured by opinion on The Creme Shop entirely (just the lip products) so I'll keep an eye out for anything else from this brand.
Euphoric Sun Winter Mochi Lip Gloss (Rice Ball) - I really tried to make this work but why am I in 2023 choosing to suffer with products that don't work for me? Like with The Creme Shop's lip tint, it's gotta go.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Retro Paradise Dream On Lip Gloss (Strawberry Daquiri) - My BH Cosmetics gloss in a similar shade is going unused because I want to tough it out with this.... the applicator sucks idk why I was adamant about keeping it this long
e.l.f. Cosmetics Cookies 'N Dreams Lip Gloss (Brain Freeze) - I can't handle the cookie scent. Too heavy for me. I have other clear glosses that don't have any smell
e.l.f. Cosmetics Mint Melt (Mint Sparkle) - Same reason as the one for Brain Freeze, it's a really pretty shimmer but it is also scented. More chemically but still overwhelmingly sweet? It's weird.
BH Cosmetics Mrs. Bella Lip Gleam (Golden Peach) - Just not a fan of corals or metallic finishes
Pony Effect Galaxy Lip Gloss (#Cosmo) - See above.
Profusion Cosmetics Lip Dazzlers (Daring) - I don't need another sparkly pinky nude gloss nor do I need a bullet lipstick in a pretty common color with a fragile little cap just waiting to be broken. Sure I don't have this color technically, but I have other lipsticks I can mix. Not to mention I've never been in a situation where I ever thought of this over my other lip products.
NYX Professional Makeup Liquid Suede (Alien) - It uh started to smell weird so I think I'm going to have to switch to the Euphoric Sun black tint. A little thin and patchy in the expected areas anyways so maybe it's for the best. But also maybe I'll pick up the black in their Lip Lingerie XXL formula.
Focallure All in One / 5 in 1 Multi-Use Concealer Palette (#01) - My mom was looking to try color correcting so I passed this along to her. Hopefully since they're not pure correcting shades it's more forgiving to a beginner. It was just waiting to be used so probably a better idea to give it a new home where it could be used year round. Crazy how my mom's been wearing makeup for decades yet I have to teach her a lot of basic concepts and techniques. Also is it really a new home if I still live with my parents so it's technically just in the other room?
Coastal Scents Original 88 Color Palette - Too many colors. My pea brain couldn't keep up. Choice fatigue is real. I have blues I already like, neutrals are a dime a dozen, I have the pinks and purples I'll use, I don't like oranges, I like deeper reds, I don't wear green or yellow enough to warrant keeping this for that alone... there's just no reason for me to have this. Sure there's colors that I don't have but if I don't have them already that's probably a sign I'm never going to start wearing them.
UCANBE Precise Definer Liquid Eyeliner (Brown) - This fell apart on me lol the cartridge sticks to the cap and not the barrel component. I very rarely use brown liquid liner, and even if I did, my mom has backups on the AOA Artista Fine Tip Liquid Liner I'm sure she's willing to part with.
NYX Professional Makeup White Liquid Liner - I've decided I'm above really long skinny brushes, both in makeup and in art. Also I haven't felt the need to draw on any lip highlights since I got it. I like pressing and rubbing my lips together, that's not going to survive it. I have face paint as a last resort.
Ulta Beauty Full Coverage Liquid Concealer (Light Warm) - This just got too old and started separating on my skin(???) so it had to go. Probably not going to repurchase since I think I found my favorite liquid concealer already (The Saem) not to mention I have a couple of e.l.f. ones to go through but maybe when those are gone I'll revisit it.
Qibest Multitasking Cosmetic Stick (#03 Contour Stick) - I really did like this but my mom wanted to try contouring and her skintone is lighter than mine so I thought this would fit her better. I have the AOA one to fall back on and it has a pointed edge so I don't have to awkwardly angle a stick or try to load up a brush and paint it on my face anymore.

How I do a smoky eye look:
This is the steps I use for a basic, 3 color smoky eye look. You don’t have to follow the steps to a T. This is just how I do it. Also, feel free to experiment with other colors as you wish. The goal is to use a darker color than the last. Everyone does it differently and makeup is all about experimentation until you find something you like. So have at it!
1)     Start with a matte concealer. You can use an eyeshadow primer if you have one…but it’s basically just a concealer with another name. Like…you don’t need to spend money on two products if they function the same. A matte concealer will ensure your product won’t smudge and makes for a smooth surface to blend on. It typically keeps it from creasing or fading as much as it usually would without it. A dewy finish concealer will require you to have to “set” the concealer (basically using a nude color eyeshadow/powder to make the concealer matte). Priming the eyelid with a concealer will also make your eyeshadow look last longer throughout the time you’re wearing it. Make sure to find a concealer that fits your face color (something you already should have). Apply this concealer to the lid and to your undereye. A small line works but make sure you use enough product to cover the area you’re applying eyeshadow on. You can blend in the concealer with a brush, your fingers, or a beauty blender. I go with a beauty blender because it lays the concealer on seamlessly. Some people then apply a nude color eyeshadow right after to create a more blendable surface but I tend to find it dulls my colors and makes it harder for me to blend if I do that. That step is optional and if you want to try it go for it!
Tumblr media
(*for reference I use the Almay Clear Complexion concealer)
Tumblr media
2)    With a small, fluffy brush, apply your base color to your eyelid. (Make sure your brush is clean. Run the brush over a paper towel until it’s clean before applying your base color) You can use a small fluffy brush (depicted with the black handle or something close to it) or, as a pro tip, your ring finger is one of the best applicators you have and it’s free. Supposedly, your ring finger is supposed to be the softest of your fingers….idk if that’s true but I use my ring finger to apply my base color. Fingers are good to apply the colors but not so good at blending colors in. Brushes help a little better with blending.  Apply this color to the whole lid, from the outer v (the part of the eyelid furthest from your nose) to the inner corner (the part of your eye closest to your nose), and then from as close to the lashline as you possibly can and up, stopping when you get to the crease (the fold of your eyelid; on some, it’s harder to find but if you squint and watch how your eye folds, you can find the crease). I first use my finger to cover the whole lid up to the crease than go in with the small fluffy brush to blend the base color from my crease into my skin above it. I try not to go all the way up to my eyebrow with the color (I’m not fond of the looks with eyeshadow all the way up to my eyebrows but to each their own). It should look like a one gradient blend that goes from your skin color to the base color. Make sure it’s a tad darker at the outer v (the part farthest from the nose at the end of the eyes) Do the same with the other eye.
(Picture of the difference in size of my eyeshadow brushes so you know what I mean when I say black handled brush vs white handles brush)
Tumblr media
(Pictured is the colors I use for reference. A very old Mary Kay and Ashley eye color and e.l.f. bite sized eyeshadow in Truffles)
Tumblr media
3)     Before I move on to my next color, I use the smallest brushes I have (either the white handle fluffy brush or an eyebrow brush or an eyeliner brush [the difference between an eyebrow brush and an eyeliner brush is the width of the brush as shown, but both work the same to add a little color to the lower lid]) to add a little bit of the base color to my lower eyelid, going as close to the lash line as I possibly can. This comes in handy later because I like to add a bit of color on my lower eyelid to create a well rounded eye look. I try to blend this color from the outer v to the inner corner (until my lower lash line’s tear duct: the small hole on the lashline) I found it hard to take a picture to show. It’s not a thick bold line but a small one. But I did make a reference to how low I make it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4)     Using the next color (something darker than the base color), dip the very tip of your ring finger or the smallest fluffy you brush you have, into the color and lightly tap on from the outer v inwards. This way, it should blend into the existing color on the eyes. I do this until I blended the color into 3/4ths of my eyelid. Staying below the crease if I can help it and making sure to have a smooth blend by pressing/tapping it lightly into the eye. Always start from the outer v inwards towards your nose. That way the ends where you start will be darker than the inside of the eyelid.
5)     Using the small fluffy brush (the white handled size) use the same 2nd color, press into the eyeshadow, tap off a little excess and start from the outer v and blend a little of the darker color into your crease. Go slow or you make get some fall out. You’re just deepening the appearance of the crease. Follow along it and blend until it looks how you like. How far you blend that color into your crease totally depends on preference. I try to go for about….80% of the crease. Use a fluffy brush like the black handled one to blend it to look a little softer if it looks to harsh and darker than you want.
6)     With the second color, apply a little to the lower lid like you did in step 3. This time, stopping a little bit sooner than where you place the base color. For me, I stop about halfway between my outer v and the tear duct.
7)     Now it’s time for the very last color, which is the darkest of the colors you have. For me….that’s black which is very scary to use because if you mess up….it….kinda shows. Take the tiniest bit on the very tip of your finger/smallest brush and lightly press into the outer v, slowly and carefully blend just a bit towards the inner corner but stopping just before where you ended the last color with. I barely do 1/4th of my eyes with the darkest color. And again, just the smallest bit to the lower lid, like the width of the brush you’re using or just the one dab from the tip of your finger. The smallest ever so small bit to blend like you did for the lower lid and for the lid itself. Blend until it’s too your liking. Also use this darker color to deepen your crease but not to far like you did in step 5. Use the same method as you did in that step to place a little shadow in the crease.
8)     From this point, you can see if the gradient is to your liking or not. If it’s not, touch up by applying small bits of the first two colors, reserving the darkest color for when it’s really needed. And if you like it, you’re done!!! You can totally add a little bling by some glittery color on the innermost part of the lid or keep it how it is. I have some really creamy shimmery colors I use and I tend to add a little highlight to my inner corner. Before I add on the eyeliner and mascara.
But yeah! This is how I typically how I do my eyeshadow. This isn’t to say it’s the right way or the wrong way but it’s just a helpful aid tot hose who want it! If there’s a few parts that are unclear, don’t be afraid to shoot me a message and I can fix it!
Have fun with it and make it your own. Find colors and a combo of stuff you like and techniques that feel nice to use! Experiment and try it out and learn from error! That’s all that’s too it.
Hope it helps 😊

Natural Makeup Routine
Tumblr media
I think that soft glam/ Natural make-up is extremely sexy. Something about subtle makeup makes a women seem so alluring. I dont know of its the subtle contour or The wispy fluttery lashes or maybe even the lightly smoked eyeliner but I absolutely adore subtle makeup. I especially love to see other women wear Natural makeup , So Im going to share some of my secrets on how I achieve the Natural makeup!
No foundation
I don’t actually ever wear foundation but I just wanted to let you guys know that its best to skip the foundation. I moisturize , put on sunscreen and then put on primer even though im not going to be wearing any foundation. Primer helps to smooth and even out your complexion and also it minimizes pores. If your not comfortable with going completely bare face then you can opt for a thin layer of CC cream or BB cream.
The primer I like to use is Maybeline Instant Pore Eraser Primer. It usually costs (6.99 USD) I also really like NYX Honey Dew Me Up Primer (10.00 USD)
Concealer
I love concealer! Its the one makeup product I cannot live without. It makes me look alive instantly its pure magic✨. I like to keep two concealers one that is 1 shade lighter and another that is 2 shades lighter. For my Natural makeup I take my concealer that is one shade lighter and I put that concealer all over my eyelids and underneath my eye. I like to blend with a beauty blender but you could also use your fingers. Don’t forget to set with a translucent powder. Brown girls and black girls make sure to get a translucent powder that has a more yellow undertone.
Some of my favorite concealers to use is the Maybelline fit me concealer in 07. Costs about (6.00 USD) ( 1 shade lighter). ELF Cosmetics HD lifting concealer in light. It costs (4.00 USD) (2 shades lighter). Both concealers have a very light creamy formula they blend very well and they stay on all day.
Mascara
Light , fluffy , fluttery and wispy lashes Complement natural make up the best! when I’m Doing a more natural look I like to opt for a brown mascara I think that brown mascara gives you such a soft natural look thats perfect for this subtle makeup look. It’s important to choose a mascara that focuses more on lengthening and defining then volumizing and thickening. I also recommend getting a eyelash primer because this will help aid in the wispy eyelash look.
CoverGirl Lash Blast Amplify Eyelash Primer costs (6.00 USD.) I love this primer it works perfectly. L’Oreal telescopic lengthening mascara in dark brown or black is my go to for this look. I only need about 2-3 coats.( Costs 7.00 USD) L’Oreal voluminous feline mascara is also a good option for this work this works perfectly by giving subtle lift to your lashes and lots of length in just 2 coats. ( Costs 8.00 USD)
Eyeliner
I personally don’t think that eyeliner is necessary for this look, but if you enjoy putting on eyeliner I would suggest using a brown eyeshadow as eyeliner. I think that brown liner looks good on every eye color and it gives that really subtle look that we are trying to achieve. You could also use a nude eyeliner in your water line. This makes the eyes appear bigger and more doll like!
Wet n Wild ColorIcon Kohl Eyeliner – Calling Your Buff (4.00 USD) is a perfect subtle nude and a staple in my makeup bag. It has a Smooth formula and is waterproof. Elf bite size shadows in Truffles has the perfect shade of brown eyeshadows that are perfect for a winged liner effect. (Costs 3.00 USD)
Brows
I dont do much to my brows because I am lucky enough to have “Nice” eyebrows. I would Suggest brushing your eyebrows and then putting some aloe vera gel on them. I think it’s important to remember that Length and fullness is more important then thick or thinness! If you want to fill in your eyebrows Just make sure to make them look full and make them look long meaning they should line up with the outer corner of your eye.
Blush And Highlight.
Blush just adds a little more life to our face. If you are a black girl or a brown girl I would suggest using either red or orange blush it looks so stunning on our skin! Pinks and Peach looks great on lighter and fairer skin tones. Put a little blush on the apples of your cheeks and over the bridge of your nose. For highlight I only put highlighter on my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose to give me a perfect subtle glow 💫 Since we are going for a soft look I suggest using A cream or liquid blush and a cream or liquid highlighter. Black and brown girls gold highlighter looks so stunning on us!
Lips
Now for lips I think it’s best to keep it simple. I usually go with a super shiny clear gloss because I just think it’s perfect! it’s not too much and it really ties the look together. Sometimes I’ll go for a more champagne colored gloss because I think that is always a suitable choice. You could always opt for a bold lip! Like A bright red or a fuchsia color , sometimes bold colors make our features stand out even more! I just personally prefer to go with gloss because it’s shiny, simple and makes my lips look really plump.
E.L.F Lip lacquer in Mauve , clear , Love Bite , Mauve Glitz all cost 3.00 USD and are perfect for a simple look. Also E.l.F pink champagne is a perfect option.
Set
Always set your make up! don’t ever leave your house without setting your make up! it is one of the most important step in make up application. I like to use E.L.F Cosmetics set and mist setting spray. It cost (5.00 USD) and works like a charm!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I hope I helped with giving you guys some guidance to achieving natural make up or natural glam. I just want to remind everyone that everyone has a different face and when you’re doing your make up you should do make up that fits and defines your face! your features! your bone structure and your eyes! It’s all about you! And don’t be afraid to experiment and try different things or mix different colors because you never know what the outcome Will be. Until next time and stay beautiful💖💖💖

A Photo Tour Of My Makeup Collection! (Part Three/Final)
Okay! Last part! XD
Tumblr media
E.L.F bite-sized eyeshadow palettes and blush/highlight duos! Again, I don’t buy from them anymore, these are from before I started boycotting.
Tumblr media
Lipliners! Two of those are the same ones. Got them in a mystery bag. I wanna buy more because they’re useful, IDK why I haven’t yet they’re like $4.
Tumblr media
General lip products I don’t wanna display. The lipbalm and the purple liquid lipstick are probably expired tbh. That red lipstick is all messed up from using it for my brother’s Joker makeup, and the white lipstick on the right there is just... not good. I only bought it to draw fangs on my lips for my own Halloween makeup though and it was like $2 so it’s okay.
And lastly... the Barely-Used Box.
I actually took it all out of the box because the box is messy lol.
Tumblr media
So those palettes in the middle, the Silver Glittery one and the one next to it? I got those in a mystery bag. And got that mystery bag... twice. So I have two of each of those. So that’s actually 4 palettes in the middle there.
The diamond shape is a palette, it smells like crayons so I don’t use it often. That NYX bright palette is actually the very first eyeshadow palette I ever bought! It’s good, I just have stuff I like better now.
That Wet ‘n Wild highlighter up in the right top corner? A lie. Makeup Youtube sung it’s praises, and I do not like it. I want to! I’m trying! But it is Not My Style.
The false lashes I just. Don’t like putting them on. I bought them for Halloween and haven’t worn them since because the struggle just isn’t worth it.
I like everything else though XD I just reach for it less often than I do my other stuff.
That’s my whole makeup collection! As of now. I... still have a lot of stuff I want to get. I KNOW IT’S A PROBLEM BUT I HAVE ADHD OKAY AND SPENDING MONEY AND HYPERFIXATIONS BOTH GIVE THE GOOD BRAIN CHEMICALS AND PLUS OWNING PRETTY COLORS
Anyway. Hope y’all enjoyed!

[ad_1] Welcome to Internet Famous, a monthly series in which we ask our Instagram followers to vote on a viral beauty product that's taken social media by storm. Then the beauty team will take the winning pick for a spin and share their reviews—pictures included. I hate to speak on everyone's behalf, but after the last few years, I can confidently say that we're all excited for our lips to see the light of day again. No more hiding behind masks every hour. No more smudged pouts. I'm ready to flex my punchy lips, and I'm starting with a lip stain. Lip stains are flexible. They can be subtle, bold, hydrating, and long-lasting. Throw in a glossy effect, and you're describing the one and only E.l.f. Cosmetics Glossy Lip Stain ($6).These bite-sized tubes have taken TikTok by storm, and I understand why. The formula is lightweight, non-drying, and adds a sheer wash of color with a hint of shine in one clean swipe. It's not as bold as a lipstick, but it packs more of a pigment punch than a standard lip balm. Trust me—I've tried it, and I made my co-workers come along for the ride. Keep scrolling to read everyone's take and see five different shades in action."I should start by saying that this color looked wildly different than I thought it was going to look. It was much lighter and pinker than I anticipated. That being said, I think that the formula is really great. I feel like the only way to describe my lips with this gloss-tint hybrid is 'juicy.' The tint stays on even after the gloss wears off, and it doesn't feel sticky or drying. I didn't love this color on me, and I'd probably opt for a different shade that I could wear every day, but my lips still looked amazing! For the price, I think this is a steal.""I rarely find myself opting for a red lip, but this particular shade felt so wearable. It feels buttery soft and glides on with ease, and it didn't leave any gloss strings during application. My lips feel super hydrated without feeling wet or untouchable. I will definitely be reaching for this lip stain on my nights out.""I'm honestly obsessed with this lip stain. The pinky-nude is totally my jam. It's a color I'd wear regularly, and I love how buildable it is. The formula is great, too. It goes on smoothly and doesn't dry out my lips. The overall vibe is subtle but cute. Even after the gloss fades, the color remains.""I love this lip gloss! I used to have reservations about glossy lip products in general, but there's something about this warm shade of red-brown that just looks so good with a little shine. It would look great for both everyday wear and a night out, and it complements darker skin tones really nicely. The formula isn't too drying, either. I will say it did take quite a few coats to reach my desired level of color, but that's really the only con here for me!""I'm already predicting that this will be a go-to for me this summer. It's really fun and a little spicy. You can really build the color, so you can make your lips darker or lighter depending on your mood."Next: TikTok Won't Shut Up About This Foundation, so We Covered Our Faces With It [ad_2] Source link
