Re the Doctor talking about destroying half the universe. Was the Flux never undone? Did I misremember it as being undone? Like it just happened. Half the universe poof, gone forever.

SPEAKING of destroying half the universe. Was the destruction of half the universe in the 4th Doctor episode, Logopolis, ever undone either? Cause if Nyssa's home planet stayed destroyed, then I dont think it was.

Doctor Who Theory: Tennant isn't the 14th Doctor. The change is a result of The Celestial Toymaker (NPH's character) messing with him. This is a reference to a scrapped storyline from the regeneration of the First Doctor, where originally the Toymaker was the one responsible for the change.

The real 14th Doctor is trapped inside the Doctor's mind (we can see him there in the promo).

the thing is I don't want Donna's ending to be "fixed", sure its sad, its fucking heartbreaking, but thats what makes it good, if it gets fixed all the weight gets taken out of it. sure in the moment it'll be good, but if its fixed will you really be able to go back and watch journey's end in the same way, knowing it'll all get reversed eventually

#i say this as someone who has a strong belief in season 6b #because it means jamie and zoe get their memories back #but theres a difference is it doesn't happen in the show (beyond 2's later appearances not remotely fitting with his original run)#when i watch the war games #in that moment 6b isn't real #the memory wipe is permanant #i also have no problem with the 50th saving gallifrey #because war and 10 don't get to remember #series 1 to 4 still work #the doctors guilt still works #because gallifrey is still gone for them #but the tragedy in donna's exit is that she will never get to remember #if her memory comes back it just doesn't work #she forgets her travels for the next ten years #is substantively different to those memories being completely gone #doctor who #dw spoiler #donna noble
