The decision to make Feyd a gollum was it for me. I cared about no other character in the franchise and was looking forward to all the fandom hype, but they had to change things from the original for literally no reason at all and make the boy a psycho. I’ll drop a feydpaul multi chapter at the end of this year and will be gone from this fandom for good. Tired of being disappointed.
This year for fandom5k I decided to offer a few things I might not otherwise write (sometimes there are fandoms I’d like to try but I want someone else to give me ideas for them), and one of those fandoms was Dune, the 2021 movie. So! Yes! This is what I spent most of May writing and am quite happy with how it turned out. Paul/Duncan, 6k, definitely not safe for work.
when they said in Dune that they needed spice for space travel i thought it was used as some sort of fuel but no apparently it's just because your pilot needs to be hight out of his mind to be able to safely navigate big ships into space
A thing that sticking with me about Dune Part2 [SPOILERS] once Paul takes the waters of life, he stops being the protagonist. The film isn’t from his POV anymore, we don’t see his visions, the camera rarely meets him at eye level. He’s not a character anymore, but a force people must navigate.
