Lacey Lane is a reporter in Seattle, and she is very aware that the supernatural exists. Fearless and resourceful, and more curious than cautious, she good at getting herself into trouble, and getter herself out...most times. Every now and then, she gets in over her head, good thing she's dating the local warden.
Lacey Lane is an NPC in the Dresden Files RPG I play in. She's the girlfriend of my character, Jefferson Tesla: Warden of the White Council.

I love my players
So I was GMing my monthly DFRPG game and this happens:
Our game is set right before Summer Knight. We've just finshed a major story arc and I wanted to run a third season Episode 0 to get a feel for how people felt after the drastic changes that happened in our last session. I'd only lightly preped so I had to wing a monster based on my players description. This is pretty normal for Fate. Plus once you get over the learning curve as a GM it makes the system a lot more fun to run.
The set up: the parent's of The Morrigan's Eyes, For Now(TMEFN) are in the burn unit at Presby in PGH. Their house caught fire in a highly suspect manner shortly before pc's were going visit. As they walk to a waiting room I have them roll alertness then ask the person with the highest score to tell me what they saw. So now I have an official looking lady doctor with no shadow. My thoughts went to some kind of powerful emotional vampire so I flipped open Our World to Lord Wraith's entry and reskined it on the fly.
The Practicing Angel(PA) managed to detect my new shadowless monster was up to no good. She botched her roll to do the "accidental" bump into the monster. This is where another of the fun mechanics in Fate comes into play. Instead of failing she chose to succeed at a cost. The creature realized PA was on to her and as a reaction triecd to drain the PA in a suprise round before the group could react. Instead of lust I picked mental exaustion as the emotion the creature fed on
Luckily The PA has high mental fortitude and only took stress. Now comes the rolls for initiative. At the top of the order is TMEFN, who decides she absolutly had it. In the process of finding a loophole out of her bargain with the Morrigan she'd discovered she'd been set up big time by someone other than her boss replace her centuries old wizard predecessor. Possibly since TMEFN was four. And someone yoinked her soul out of her body and held it hostage to get an unspecified favor from her boss. All of this happenec in the last 72 hours in game time.
THEFN suprises all of us at the table lands a fantastic social atack with presence. TMEFN goes into full emisary of power mode complete with change of hair color and the apperance of a blood red Medieval gown. Marching up to the creature she shouted "That's it, I've had it! You stop that right this instant!"
The thing is the creature dose. It filled it's moderate consequence with This is Above My Pay Grade and conceded the fight. Upon interagation we learn the creature is an anonymously hired paid assasin who is pissed off that she was unknowingly sent after the family of an Emissary of power. Mostly because the fee is several orders of magnitude higher and failure to disclose puts her client in breach of contract. It told us You may call me "Kira" then became a shadow and disapeared to go hunt down and eat her former client.
After the creature I made up on the fly dissapeared, another of my players, Modern Professional Celtic Hero(MPCH), makes a great Lore roll to identify this thing. Now I have no more of a clue what this thing is than MPCH's player does. So I flip the question back to him. After a moment of thought he comes up with this "Let's see it eas accedentaly created or summoned by an active fandom forum on the internet. Um, it's sort of the opisit of a dream eater. It eats your conciousness while you're awake. Lets call it a Lucidityphage."
At this moment we realized we just created an in-game creepy pasta assasin that came to life. Probably from the SCP. Also now i need to dust off my rusty writer skills and actualy give this creature a srory so I can stat it out properly.

This is a custom GM Screen I made for the Dresden Files Accelerated RPG I've been lucky enough to play in. It was made as a gift for the GM who has been kind enough to run this great adventure for us. The screen features the Two PCs, my Warden Jefferson Tesla, and my friend's Amazon, Cassiopeia Silverstring.

Another entry in the Faces of Seattle series. NPCs from the Dresden Files RPG I'm a player in.
From Left to Right:
Ephiny: A Golden Hind of Apollo, she offered Jefferson aid when she had no need to, healing him form a crippling injury. Two two are drawn to each other, unaware that they were nearly lovers in an alternate timeline. Only time will tell if they have a future together in this reality. Ephiny works as a park ranger at the local Deer Preserve, and specializes in veterinary medicine. Like all Golden Hinds, she can change between human and deer form. She is extremely long lived, and extremely strong. She's a healer at heart, but more then willing to throw down for those she cares about.
Jenifer (Jen) Willow: When Jefferson started consolidating the council's resources in Seattle and began focusing more heavily on his duties as a warden, he hired tow minor talents to run his occult/magic store for him. Jen is one of the two hi hired. He is also teaching her alchemy. She his loyal and almost fearless when it comes to standing by those she cares about. She is also an undergrad in Social Sciences.
Elizabeth Pern: A Clerk of the White Council, whom, until recently has been working alone. Jefferson brought her on to his team when he chose to consolidate the council's resources in Seattle. Liz is not a fighter by any means. She is by nature an very she and nervous person, who has a very hard time speaking her mind. At eh same time, she desperately wants to help those living under the Doom reform, so they can move on with their lives.
Matthew (Matt) Drake: The other minor talent Jefferson fired to mind the shop. Like his long time friend, Jen, he is also an undergrad in Social Science. Matt is a little more cautious than Jen and a bit more level headed. He tends to be the voice of reason in most situations. Like Jen, Matt is steadfast when it comes to his friends.
Max Gordon: A Werewolf and the liaison between Jefferson and the Paranetters. Max is brave, but foolhardy. He's not the brightest bulb in the box, but he is loyal to an fault. A skater, and in his mind at least, the ultimate lady's man. While Jefferson has never actually seen Max successfully pick up women, he is apparently Xia's Ex (Xia has also joined the team as Jefferson's backup on the field, See Faces of Seattle 2).
Amanda Irene Tesla: Jefferson's little sister, long thought dead. Amanda's death was actually staged by Reginald Jones (See Villains of Seattle), and raised in secret. While Jefferson was being groomed by Jones to be a Hulk-like weapon to use against the Council's enemies, Amanda was raised as his "daughter" one of many stolen children raised to be Jone's personal assassins. She has a cult mentality, and if she remembers her brother it doesn't show. The last time the siblings met, Amanda wanted to kill Jefferson, believing he was "broken" and a threat to her "father".
Felix Richtor: Jefferson's teach in the White Council. Felix was a long time friend of Jones, but claims he never knew about Jones' plans or about what he had done to the Tesla Family. An old school warden through and through, Felix's methods are harsher then Jefferson's. Felix lost his arm during the war with the Red Court, and only recently woke up from a coma he last battle with the Red's left him in. No longer a Warden, he works for his old student, trying to protect the people of Seattle.

More Friendly NPCs from the Dresden Files RPG.
From Left to right:
Becky- A lycanthrope in her 40s who owns the local Supernatural bar; Mistletoe. She tends to "mother" the local community and is liked by all. She is very much like a mother to the local Warden; Jefferson Tesla
Pip- A Changeling mechanic. She is good friends with both Cassiopeia and Jefferson. She has a lot practice wizard proofing things, and runs her garage/bowling alley; Spare Parts.
Xia- A young practitioner who turned to necromancy after being passed over repeatedly by everyone around her. Jefferson encountered her and saw the good in her, choosing to help her instead of killing her. He talked of council out of execution. She has been a strong ally of Jefferson ever since.
Merrillie Tusaint- A French wizard hiding from the council and a close friend to both Cassiopeia and Siren. She never misses an Marlins game.
Beamer- A local Pixie who has befriended Jefferson.
Lulu- Becky's niece, and a good friend to Jefferson. The two of them almost connected once... who knows what the future holds. Lulu is a trucker and no stranger to a knife fight. Like Becky she is also a Lycanthrope.

Jefferson Tesla has been through a lot. He's been beaten, stabbed, shot, clubbed, burned, clawed, shashed, chewed on, frozen, and tortured. More recently he was banished to the heart of Winter and held against his will, and subjected to brutal training. Needless to say, he's not the person he was when he left.
This is the redesign for my character in the Dresden Files RPG.

The last of my Faces of Seattle series, featuring the NPCs of the Dresden Files game I'm playing in. I end this series with the Villains of Seattle.
From left to right:
Mr Roll: An Ex-boxer, who made his fortune by investing in real estate... and by getting involved in the supernatural. Looking to make himself the Marcone of Seattle, Roll managed to earn a favor from Mother Winter. He uses that influence to manipulate Winter without actually cashing in the favor.
Celeste Skavis: The highest ranking member of the White Court in Seattle. She makes a habit of interfering with both heroes, as well as doing her best to make the life of Melanie Raith as miserable as possible.
Durcell: A Duke of the Summer Court, he has been called the snake in Titania's garden. Corrupt and vicious, he has a bone to pick with both Jefferson and Cassiopeia.
Uras: An Amazone from a rival tribe to that of Cassiopeia, and the lover of Durcell.
Reg Jones: Once a Warden of the White Council, Jones lost the title and was made a Warlock when Jefferson exposed his treachery. Jones was the one who, years ago, abducted Jefferson's sister, Amanda, and altered Jefferson's memories to make him believe she was killed by a ghoul sent by the Red Court. Jones, and his mysterious allies, had intended to build Jefferson's rage and use him like a magical Hulk against the council's enemies.
Warden Caritos: Originally sent to study under Jefferson in the ways of the Wardens, the two started to go down the path of friendship, before it all went to hell. Caritos was far too comfortable with "acceptable losses" and the two eventually came to blows. The fight ended with Caritos running Jefferson through with a spear, nearly killing him. The council separated the two, but it's only a matter of time before they cross paths again.
Mr Smith: Smith's real name is unknown. He is the mysterious leader of an anti supernatural group called White Star. White Star has been responsible for the murders of supernatural beings, including changelings and minor talents across the country. He and Jefferson have crossed paths twice now. The first time, Smith survived Jefferson's attack, the second time Jefferson survived his. Who knows how thier next meeting will go.
