I was just thinking that, if we do actually get amnesiac Jay, him eventually getting his memories back could be really interesting. Because obviously you’ve got all the great memories with his family and the people he loves, but at the same time just— the horrors. The guy has so much trauma piled up from over the years and I feel like that would be A Lot to have dumped on you all at once.

#like I get Ninjago is still a kids show so they probably wouldn’t lean into that angle much #or realistically they probably wouldn’t even acknowledge it at all #but I still think it’s a really interesting concept #like yeah of course you want the memories of your loved ones and all the good times back #but those also come with just so many traumatic ones #and we’ve seen before that Jay… doesn’t exactly have the best mental fortitude #when situations get really bad he’s pretty much always the first one to crack #like in hunted and crystalized #idk I just think it would be a cool angle to explore #ninjago dragons rising #dragons rising #Ninjago #ninjago jay #jay walker #dragons rising spoilers #dr spoilers #dragons rising leaks

While spellcasters can easily extract the magic contained within arcane crystals, forging said power into something less volatile requires a great deal of skill. Some artificers have managed such a feat, though, and have built weapons out of them. Magical blades are often far more effective than most non-enchanted metals.

Second sword for Swordtember! This time I got to mix holographic (as in hologram) and some iridiscent materials, such as titanium quartz and tarnished chalcopyrite. I’ve seen a lot of posts about Kai’s fear being hurting his family. And I certainly think it a very cool concept (even if I don’t personally agree with it).

However I want to add this to the ring:

Kai has only been corrupted by something once. And that was Chen’s staff.

He was not effected by dark matter

Not effected by the forbidden staff

And was not effected by the wolf masks (as far as I can tell)

It took literally having the same powers as GOD to corrupt him and guess what?

HE FOUGHT IT, HE DIDNT IMMEDIATELY TURN EVIL HE FOUGHT THE CORRUPTION ANYWAYS.

Kai is a character filled with so much love and compassion for other people that when compared to more generally “good” characters like Zane, he noticeably more resistant to corruption.

What I’m saying is that I think that in dr s2, if it’s revealed Kai is truly scared of fighting his family and hurting them, then it’s only fair if his arc wraps up with him proving once and for all that his love for his family will ALWAYS beat whatever evil desires he has.

I want his love for people to go beyond just him, I want his love for his family to rub off onto the forbidden five and slowly teach them how to be good, I want his love to be what gives the ninja hope when they feel like they lost everything, I want his love to be what makes Arin realizes that he is enough and he doesn’t need to be like ras.

I want his love to defeat all evil because that’s what dr is about, found family and love. And no one incorporates that better than Kai.
