So. This is my Parent Trap AU. Harry takes on Teddy, Draco has Scorp, and for a short time they’re a family. Then they panic, Harry escapes to CA with Ted while Draco and Scorpius stay in London. The boys meet at Hogwarts, swap places, try to get their dads back together.

Featuring: t4t amiable exes Draco and Astoria, Luna as Chessy, disheveled Harry cooking Indian food, glamorous wedding dress designer Draco, pranks and shenanigans and body swaps, sweet anxious teenaged Teddy and Scorp, and more and more.

I tend to move slowly and I’m still near the beginning of the process, so if anyone is as caught by this concept as I am and wants to cheer-read or beta or bounce ideas, hmu! Here’s some weepy angst.

“Really, Harry? You picked her? She’s so…” Draco trails off, grimacing.

Harry meets Draco’s gaze, allows his own to fill with the loneliness, the longing, the betrayal and hope. He drags down every last wall he’s carefully plastered together over the years, in the absence of Draco. He lets the stone and mortar crumble until all that’s left is the old growth. Thriving still, and achingly raw as though it’s new.

“Draco. You didn’t want me.”

He watches Draco’s eyes change, fill, as the realisation sweeps over him. Watches him rock back on his heels, unsteady, and then forward again until he’s caught Harry’s elbows in his palms.

“You didn’t want… You didn’t want us, Draco.”

There’s also the matter of the really great sex (because what’s a marriage of convenience without a little fun, after all?) It's just a shame they’d always planned to break up after a year…

Brain worms for a fic I'll probably never actually write (based loosely on the typical premise of every one of my favourite web novels)

Reincarnation is pretty standard fare for wizard kind. Sure, there's no rhyme or reason to it outside of a couple of bloodlines who all tend to hop down the same filial thread, but for the most part it's a one time thing, and unremarkable at that.

You die. You come back. You don't remember, outside of the odd dream. That's just how it is.

Conscious reincarnation is far rarer. The only supposed, admitted conscious reincarnation anyone knows of is supposedly Albus Dumbledore, who is supposedly the reincarnation of Merlin himself, and all he's ever done with it is look smug and knowing and enjoyed the way those who buy into his bullshit fawn over every cryptic word that falls out of his mouth.

Before his death at eighteen years old, alone in a dark cave on the shores of the North Sea, Regulus Black was on his second reincarnation. He remembered every second of his past lives. He tried, desperately, to use all he'd learned to make better choices in his third go of things.

When he opens his eyes to his favourite cousin staring down at him, mournful but adoring, and calling him Draco, he figures things could be worse; and also that he's done with trying.

This time, he'll just live. He'll just be ordinary; just get on with his life, have friends, lean on Cissa the way he was never brave enough to the last go around, and never tell anyone who he was and what he learned before he died.

It's a great plan; until he's face to face with James Potter's son, and then his fucking brother is back in the picture, and the great fucking evil he gave his life to defeat is still around and trying to get the paltry remains of his family killed.

Maybe his next life he'll finally get to fucking relax.

I need more fanfics where Draco is in Azkaban and Hermione falls for him regardless. It’s always so sweet and enduring at first, then it gets hella passionate!! I’ve read Out of Mind by #galfoy and Until the Ink Runs Dry by @acciomjolnir recently (twice lol)! Anyone have recs for me? Draco on house arrest is good too, but it doesn’t have that same level of desperate yearning. Apple Pies and Other Amends by #toeatapeach was great!
