Tumblr media
You could feel nerves and anger bubbling under your skin as you walked up the long driveway of Malfoy Manor. You had seen mansions in muggle London, but this didn’t compare to anything you’d seen before.
Even though you knew that your dad was serious about marrying Narcissa Malfoy for quite some time, having to actually move in with them was not what you expected for the holidays.  Though you spent most of your life with your mother in muggle London with little to no knowledge of the wizarding world or your own powers, you had since learned quickly of the Malfoy’s infamous stance of blood purity.
Your father was a man of few words, much less about his love life - but he had assured you that Narcissa had let go of her disdain for half-bloods after Lucius was killed in Azkaban. Still, the closer you stepped toward the Manor, the more nervous you grew. You were still learning about what it meant to be a witch, and now, dragging your trunk and a broom you didn’t know how to ride toward your new home, you had no choice but to work it out. Fast.
Before you even stepped up to the obnoxiously lavish mansion, the door swung open and a beautiful woman with brown and platinum hair walked out - the train of her dress following behind her. She walked elegantly past you without so much as a second glance, and kissed your father hello. You knew they had been together long before you moved out of your Mother’s house - but to only get to meet her for the first time when moving in with her made your blood boil. Neither had ever thought to involve you until they got engaged - and never gave you a choice in the matter.
Through gritted teeth and a fake smile that pained you to wear, you cleared her throat, hoping either of them would acknowledge you.
“Hello dear, Your dad’s told me so much about you” Narcissa touched your shoulder, sending a shiver down your spine. Though you knew your new step-mother had changed her ways, the thought of her disapproval in having a half blood in her home made your stomach sink. All you could muster was a soft “Mhm”, instantly regretting drawing attention to yourself.
“Let’s get you two inside and settled in then”, Narcissa suggested summoning the house elf to collect the luggage without introducing him. Though the woman tried to sound welcoming, It was obvious she still had little regard for the house elf who served her. Some things don’t change, you thought, rolling your eyes.
Stepping onto the marble floors of the castle felt surreal. The air felt cooler inside than out, and it didn’t feel like a home that people lived in - rather an obscenely expensive hotel. If you didn’t already feel like an outsider, knowing little about being a witch in a home for ex-death eaters, the sheer size and class of the home certainly did the job.
You followed your Father, who seemed too focussed on his wife-to-be to notice you there, into a large living room. Though the couches looked too expensive to sit on, Narcissa urged you to do so, and sat down on the other. You swallowed the lump in her throat, taking in a shaky breath before attempting to break the ice.
“Your home is…beautiful,” You bit the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from showing your disgust in their obvious wealth.
“This is your home too now, Love. Make yourself at home” She smiled. “I’ll have Draco show you around, and-”
You cut her off nervously, “Who’s Draco?”
Narcissa shot your father a confused look before responding, “God, your father has kept you in the dark about a lot hasn’t he?”
You couldn’t help but scoff at her words
“Draco is my only son. He’s around your age. I’m sure he’ll be home soon”, She explained. Suddenly, it clicked. In the short amount of time that You had between being told about your father’s relationship, and having to move away with him, you had read about Draco. Heir of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy and youngest death eater to serve Lord Voldemort in the war. How could you have forgotten?
You looked at your dad with narrowed eyes, silently cursing him for keeping so much from you. It wasn’t enough that you were never told you were a witch until it was too late to start at Hogwarts - but now you had to move in with one of the most infamous families of the wizarding world with almost zero preparation. You started to fidget with her fingers, feeling your temperature rise with anxiety - but before you could respond, a loud bang pierced your ears from the fireplace, as a tall,  platinum-blonde boy walked out of the bright green smoke.
He dusted off his perfectly tailored black suit, scanning the room before his hollow grey eyes landed on you.
His face was pale and his hair as white as the streaks in his mothers’, but he looked far less welcoming and kind. His brows furrowed down and bore a look of pure disgust straight through you. As much as you had anticipated the Malfoy’s being less than hospitable to your half blood self, his face said it all. You wanted the perfect marble floor to open up and swallow you whole, or follow that green smoke in the fireplace to anywhere but the manor.
“So is this the filthy mudblood your boyfriend dragged in?” He spat at his mother, as if you weren’t even there. Great - not only did he know who you were, but he knew you would never be one of them.
“Draco don’t be rude” Narcissa corrected, looking embarrassed but not entirely surprised. “You know that pureblood rubbish is gone with your father. She will be your step sister soon enough and I expect you to treat her like the family she is”
Draco’s face flashed with something at the mention of his late father, but cooled to an emotionless mask before you could place what it was. You stared at your feet nervously tapping, avoiding the eyes on you. Your father stood rubbing Narcissa’s back, not even bothering to defend you.
“Now, I’ve sent her luggage upstairs so, Draco, show your sister around the manor and to her new room” Narcissa ordered, before flashing another smile toward you.
You awkwardly stood up, finally looking back up at the tall blonde. He sneered at you and rolled his eyes before turning toward the long corridor.
“Come on then Mudblood. I don’t have all night,” he scoffed. Though he was in front of you, he didn’t move until you walked up beside him. You tried to keep up with his long strides down the hallway pointing at different rooms off each side.
“This is the dining hall. We eat here for each meal. If you’re late, you don’t eat,” He warned.
He pointed out a few more lavishly decorated rooms, including a large study lined with bookshelves before coming to a halt at the bottom of a spiral staircase. You stopped beside him and he finally turned to look at you, letting his gaze drop from your eyes, down to your bare legs. You suddenly felt very underdressed, in a short skirt and a T-shirt of your favourite muggle band. For the first time since he fell through the fireplace, He looked at you with something other than disgust. His eyes swam with something you couldn’t quite place, and you finally took in his looming height and angular face. Just as your mind started to wonder, watching the way his tall slender frame leaned on the hand rail, his harsh voice snapped you out again.
“After you then,” he gestured toward the steep stairs and stepped back. You started climbing the stairs, awkwardly holding the back of your skirt against your thighs as you felt his eyes burning you from behind. Hurrying up the many, many stairs to the second floor of the manor, you could hear him right behind you and your cheeks started to burn, knowing he would be eye level with your ass. Something deep in your mind liked the idea of him enjoying the view after being so rude, but you brushed it off as you reached the second floor. There was another hallway with several doorways, all closed with gold door knobs. Likely solid gold, you mentally scoffed.
Draco passed you and pointed to the first door.
“There’s my…There’s our bathroom,” he pushed it open and your mouth dropped at the sheer size of it. Crystal bath and windows from floor to ceiling. He kept walking to the next door but didn’t open it.
“This is my room. Don’t come in. Don’t even fucking knock,” he scoffed. Your cheeks started to burn in embarrassment again. It was bad enough that you had to be here, but to be so unwelcome made tears prick your eyes.
“And this is your room, I guess,” he pushed open the door next to his. He turned to finally look at you and noticed your eyes welling up. “Awh what’s wrong, mudblood?” He asked mockingly. “Wanna go home? If I had it my way, you would,” he spat, turning on his heel toward the staircase.
“One more thing,” he said, not facing you. “Don’t wear that tiny skirt again unless you want trouble”.

𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐫... as Draco Malfoy hurried through the hallways, distancing himself as far away from the Dungeons as he could. However, he needed to step up his pace if he wanted Professor Snape to lose him among the plethora of students squandering the corridors. The wooshing of his cape and the fast approach of his footsteps still sounded too close to Draco for his comfort.
“Stop at once!” Snape’s voice bellowed through the corridor, making students around him look up in fright, afraid he might have it out for one of them. Draco sprinted up the stairs, stumbling into some second years as he stopped for a split second to take in his surroundings— more students, but not enough to blend in with. His eyes scanned the hallway and then fell on one of the storage closet doors. It was ajar. Without thinking he rushed inside, trying his best to let the heavy dark wooden door fall silently shut. He breathed through his nose, trying to regain his breathing quietly, and heard students mumble and jump away as Professor Snape’s voice neared.
Draco was close to letting out a yell of surprise when the wooden door opened and fell shut in its hinges with a loud clang, making him jump aside into the shadows of the closet as someone bumped into him. But when he looked up, he didn’t find Professor Snape staring down at him. Instead, he had to lower his eyes a couple of centimetres before they met those of a girl.
“Bloody hell, do you-” His cuss was cut short by the hiss of the girl in front of him, staring at the door in the dark of the closet.
“Shut it-” Almost as quickly, the girl shoved his wand back down, stopping him from casting Lumos and quite possibly betraying her hiding space. The two waited, in the dark, unaware of who the other actually was. The girl’s ear was tightly pressed against the door, eager to find out if the coast was clear. Getting impatient, Draco shoved her aside, wanting to listen for himself.
“Why-”
The girl shushed him again and softly slapped against his hand which was starting to put too much weight on the door, making it creak in protest. Somewhere in the distance, they couldhear the students disperse after the grande bell in the Clock Tower roared through the school three times.
Draco sighed in relief, knowing Snape must have left in order to make it to his class, and so he cast Lumos to find the door handle in the dark. He clumsily and somewhat harshly shoved the girl aside once more,
“Out of my way.” Once his wand lit up the closet, he could finally see who he had been in hiding with, and his jaw slacked and his ears turned red when he realised he never meant to be so rude to the girl in front of him.
Y/N stared back at him, eyes full of shock and terror at the realisation of who she had been sharing the cramped closet with, and she didn't even register the soft and mumbled apology that Draco muttered under his breath until she saw his lips move. Embarrassed by looking at his lips, her eyes immediately shot up to his, but the nerves and blush that coated her cheeks immediately after that made her realise how big of a mistake that decision had been.
“I- um… I… sure, of course.” She stammered, moving past him to give him the room, growing even more embarrassed as she stepped on his feet, making the sixth-year Slytherin hiss in pain.
“I’m so sorry! Merlin, I-”
“It’s fine,” Draco mumbled quickly, but not nearly as harshly as he would have treated anyone else.
Draco cleared his throat, masking his own nerves, and rattled the doorknob, simultaneously pushing his whole weight against the heavy door. It didn't budge, not even a millimetre.
“What the-”
“Alohomora.” Y/N flicked her wand quickly, wanting to help the boy out and not make more of a fool of herself. Only the door didn't open after the basic spell.
Surprised, Draco looked back at her for a split second before turning back to the door to try it himself.
“Alohomora.” Nothing. He repeated himself a couple of times, through gritted teeth, before finally shoving his wand back in his robe.
“What did you do to it before you walked in?”
Taken back by the accusation and the annoyed furrow of Draco’s brows, the girl felt too accused to realise her initial fright, “Me? I didn’t do anything.” She rattled the doorknob once more, not liking the accusing tone the Slytherin used, “You were here before me.”
Draco sniffed in disdain and punched the door, “Is that why you came here, to lock me up with you?” The moment he said it and saw the look on Y/N’s face, he wished he hadn’t. His anger had taken over once more. It wasn’t a rare occurrence as of late. The task the Dark Lord had given him weighed heavily on him, and it was even worse that he could tell no one. He had to lie, even if he knew that Dumbledore was probably well aware of everything going on. If that all wasn’t worse enough, Snape had been breathing down his neck ever since the first day of school. He needed to do this himself, and he sure as hell didn’t need any help.
He noticed Y/N’s silence and saw the girl with her arms crossed, in an attempt to hug herself to comfort while staring down at the tiled floor. This was his doing, his actions had caused her to shut herself out. He didn’t know the girl on a personal level, but had shared classes with her for years and had often caught himself staring at her. Never had he ever seen her this uncomfortable. He hated himself for being the reason behind it.
“Sorry.” He said curtly, for the first time in years apologising to someone other than his father. The girl merely shrugged in reply, as a way to shake it off, but Draco could see how bad it made her feel.
“I shouldn’t have said that.”
“It’s fine, Draco.” She finally said, his name rolling off her tongue like silk.
He tried to keep the most distance he could in the cramped closet, to not make her even more uncomfortable. Only he failed to realise that her silence and unease weren't because of his comments, but because of his presence. You see, in some other reality where Y/N wasn’t as shy as she was, she would have loved being trapped in a closet with the boy she’s had the biggest crush on ever since first seeing him. Perhaps she would even make use of it. But in this reality, the only thing she wanted to happen was for the floor to swallow her whole. She tried her best to hide the blush on her cheeks by focusing on the ground. She would never act on her crush on the Malfoy boy. She'd always been intimidated by him, for his status, wealth and friends created some sort of distance between him and everyone else at Hogwarts. Not to mention, Draco Malfoy made it all too clear how much he loathed Muggleborns on a day-to-day basis. She was too different from him in every way, he would never like someone like her, let alone her. She cowered away at that realisation.
Y/N had admired the boy from afar for years, cheeks turning scarlet whenever he so much as glanced her way. She had made sure to be discreet about it, and was almost certain that the boy had no clue. Pansy and the others had though, oh they had, and they made it painfully clear as well. They made fun of her whenever she walked by. Draco never joined their jesting or laughter, probably too busy to be wanting to pay her attention anyway. But Y/N couldn’t help but pay attention to the silver haired boy each and every opportunity she got. Hence why it had become clear that he was changing. He could stare off into the distance for the duration of a whole class, he seemed to shut himself out from his friends and no longer made it his duty to pester anyone different from him. He had turned more skittish, more anxious. Unfortunately she would never find out why, nor dare to ask. For now, she would have to keep it at secret glances, even if they weren’t so secret to Draco.
Draco put a finger to his mouth when footsteps approached, and a shadow was seen to stand in the light below the creak of the door. The pair grew quiet, until the footstep disappeared again.
Relieved, Draco turned to lean against the cold wall, staring at the girl in front of him and shamelessly taking in every detail that was available to him in this little light. The girl was beautiful, but that wasn’t something he hadn't been aware of already.  However, he had never been up close to her before, so he took his time taking her in. Another blush crept on Y/N’s cheeks when the boy shamelessly stared at her, checking her out.
He tilted his head in curiosity, “So why are you hiding here?”
Y/N swallowed, realising she wouldn’t be able to come up with a believable lie without stuttering or stumbling over her words, “I um… They were messing with me.” Draco tilted his head the other side, wanting her to elaborate, “They tried to throw a few hexes at me so I ran.” The burning of her cheeks didn't disappear when she revealed how she had run like a coward and had done so for the past six years.
“Who?” He quipped.
Y/N bit her lip, contemplating wether to come clean or not. But who was she kidding? The whole school knew of Pansy’s disdain against her.
“Pansy and her friends.”
Realising that Pansy’s friends were also Draco’s, she tried the doorknob again, “I’m sorry, I can go. No, I should go. I’ll find another spot. I don’t want you to get into trouble because of me.”
Draco listened to her rambles and the ghost of a smirk appeared on his face. He wasn’t enjoying her anxiety, no, he found it adorable how she wanted to flee from him so bad when all she had done for the past six years was probably wish for a moment like this.
“I don’t think it will open. We’ve tried already, remember?” He teased, then saw it didn’t do anything to calm her down. “Relax- It’s fine.” He assured.
Y/N let out a relieved breath, “Right, good. Because this is my usual spot.” She surprised herself by the joke that so effortlessly rolled of her lips, “So if anything, it should be you having to scurry away.”
Amused, Draco raised an eyebrow, and then he laughed, impressed by her quick wit. Either Y/N was growing confident, or she was still too shocked to be in a closet with him to think of anything she was saying.
“I didn’t mean to frighten you, by the way.” His voice now close to a whisper, he pushed himself off the wall. Once again, he found himself needing to apologise, “Sorry if I did. I was frustrated.” He knew it was a shitty excuse, but noticed the girl’s shoulders relaxing.
Then for a third time, he opened his mouth to apologise, “I’m sorry they’ve been treating you that way.”
Y/N’s eyes snapped up to his, surprised at the sudden statement in which he did not back his friends, for all that she knew, for the first time ever.
“I don’t think you’re ugly, daft or boring, by the way. You’re quite the marvellous witch.”
“I thought Mudbloods can’t be witches.” The challenging reply had left her mouth before she could stop it, but she was surprised to see the crooked grin on his face, instead of an annoyed scowl like the one that he would usually sport.
He wagged a finger and nodded his head, “Keeping me on my toes, I see. Good.” He stared at her again with that unbridled sense of confidence and pride, and Y/N found herself wanting to slap it off his perfectly sculpted Grecian face.
“Better than all those fools who just nod at everything I say and don’t have an opinion of their own.”
“I think they want to agree with what you have to say because you can be quite intimidating, did you know?” Y/N slid down the wall and landed on a wooden crate.
He stared at her, letting her words land in his head before following her example and sitting down.
“Perhaps.” He pursed his lips, “That still gives you more guts than any of them. Didn’t know you had it in you.” The backhanded compliment didn't fly over her head, if anything, it made her incredibly aware of the situation again.
She swallowed, and with a small voice, she muttered, “You don’t know me at all.”
Draco let out a big breath, one that served as a reply of its own. Too bad he didn’t have the luxury to befriend whoever he wanted. No, they had to be of status, wealthy or pureblood. Otherwise, his family’s name would be tainted and they would be shunned. He had always believed his parents when they had told him how things were supposed to be. But ever since he had caught Y/N staring at him, he had started to notice her, too. What he had also noticed? How his views and opinions slowly started to fade and change. He often hated the universe for making her a Mudblood or being born to a family of no importance. If only things could have been different, who knows, maybe he could have pursued her. If only his family hadn't been tied so closely to the Dark Lord, maybe he could've gotten away with doing whatever he wanted to do. Then again, if he failed to succeed in killing Dumbledore, the Dark Lord would have his head, so maybe he should just take the plunge.
Her words hung in the air and the silence that followed was only interrupted by the second banging of the Clock, signalling that everyone had to be in their classrooms now. The girl in front of him let out a frustrated groan at the realisation she would have to miss her Herbology exam now that she was still stuck.
“What?”
“I’ll miss my Herbology exam.”
Draco sniffed his nose, thinking there were worse things to miss out on.
“Okay- you might think of it as unimportant and stupid, seeing as with one little wag of his finger, your father will have changed all your grades, but I actually have to work hard for my grades.”
Draco’s head whipped hear way, but he stayed quiet. Had anyone else talked to him this way, he would have lost it. But he could only stare at the girl, stunned. He realised that she saw him just like everyone else— like a spoiled and entitled brat.
Y/N kept still, realising her mistake when she saw the conflict and pain in the boy’s eyes.
After a few seconds, Draco opened his mouth, “It’s not like that at all, if you must know. My father would actually have my head if I only had bad grades. But I can’t blame you for not knowing that, we don’t know each other, remember?” He spoke slowly, immediately balling his fists afterwards to conceal the anger still left in him, the anger he definitely did not want to throw at her again.
Draco stood back up to throw his fists against the door instead, in hopes that someone would hear him.
“Hey! Let me out or you will hear from my father!” His lips sneered and Y/N was caught off guard by how quickly his demeanour could change. Just now, when he had been talking to her, he had turned so silent and soft, almost understanding, something she had never seen him do before. She had brought that side out of him, but now he was back to being that same brash Malfoy boy that everyone knew— and hated.
Y/N sighed and threw her head in her hands, making Draco look at her. Of course, this was pure torture for the girl, to be trapped in a closet with him. And after all that his words had ruined in the mere span of five minutes, who could blame her?
“Can’t stand the thought of being anywhere near me? Do you want to get out of this closet so badly? I can't get out of it, or I would've. If only just to ease your nerves.” He teased, testing the waters, then realised why the girl next to him grinned softly.
“Oi, you know I didn’t mean it that way.”
“Do you find the closet comfortable then?”
“Only this one, with this company.” He said it with a laugh as a smirk slipped past his lips, surprising even himself.
Y/N’s face flushed a bright red once more and this time Draco found his stomach tickling after witnessing it. He stared at her face again, long, then right into her eyes. He felt himself smiling once more. He cleared his throat, not wanting to dive in deeper, for now.
“So, um, Herbology then, yes?”
“What about it?”
“Is that your favourite subject?”
Y/N sat back once more and looked at him only to see the boy was being genuine, trying to make some smalltalk. She grinned.
“One of my favourites, yes. Although it’s hard to pick a favourite when you’re a student at a Wizarding School and didn’t grow up with it all. I want to indulge as much as I can.”
Draco nodded, realising the girl was hinting at her Muggleborn status.
“So what’s the muggle world like?” He asked after thinking hard and long of a question, finding himself ridiculous for being so nervous about her reaction, “How much does it really differ from ours?”
He knew he had asked the right question when he saw her face light up with glee, “Well, for starters, we don’t use apparition or the floo network, so travelling takes longer. When we have to get something, we can’t use Accio and-”
He smiled at her, truly smiled, as he listened to her passionately talk about her life back home. He gave himself a small pat of victory for getting the girl from looking at the ground to looking into his eyes, to making her feel comfortable enough to share something so personal.
He answered the questions she asked in return and found himself enjoying her company immensely. The conversation flowed naturally, but it came to an abrupt stop when the door suddenly opened swiftly.
Professor Snape stood before them, but the two didn't realise until their eyes finally adjusted to the sudden harsh light. They were filled in horror when they saw their Professor looking down at them, taking them in, glaring into their eyes uncomfortably long. Snape looked between the two, then into the closet, and it doesn’t take a fool to see what assumption he was making. He lifted an eyebrow, once again taking the two squeezed-together teenagers in. Unsure whether to speak up about it, he sneered his lip in abhorrence, gave it another few seconds to ponder over, and then decided to skip the awkward conversation,
“Next time don’t run away when I call you or I’ll leave you there locked for eternity, Malfoy.” He spoke slowly, then quickly paraded away.
The two walked out of the closet, weirded out by the sudden encounter, then turned to each other,
“I hope you won’t get into too much trouble with Sprout,” Draco offered a kind smile, which the girl returned,
“And you with Snape… with whatever it is you did."
Draco nodded, the ghost of a smile playing at his lips.
“You’re not so bad as they all make you out to be, but I already had a hunch,” Y/N spoke as she adjusted her hair, now aware they’re both in daylight again and not in the dark where she had been able to hide away in the shadows. But Draco didn't care. He took her in once more, and nodded his head pleasingly.
“I’ll see you around.” The girl smiled softly, then turned to walk away until Draco stopped her,
“Same place, same time, next week?”
He joked, realising that having Y/N as company hadn’t been so bad. To be quite frank, he was already looking forward to seeing her again.

Soft flurries of snow are falling from the winter sky, dancing in the wind and landing delicately on the ground outside of the Malfoy’s apartment on Christmas morning. Draco wakes up gradually, the feeling of your fingers combing through his hair lulls him out of his slumber, and he turns his head towards you, grey eyes still droopy and a lazy smile pulling at his lips.
You giggle, leaning down to plant a tender kiss on his lips before you pull away, still stroking his silky locks and brushing them away from his face. “Merry Christmas, handsome.”
Draco gives a content sigh, nuzzling into your embrace for a moment longer, and begins to pepper kisses up the expanse of your arm until he arrives at your cheek and whispers against the rosy skin, “Merry Christmas, my love.”
Your smile is beaming, and the moment you share together, snuggled between the bedsheets and wrapped up in each other’s early morning affections, is light and warm and everything Christmas morning is supposed to be.
Draco gets up first, rolling out of bed and shuffling around the room as he shrugs on a clean button-up. He looks over to you — his wife — who is still laying in bed, and sends a cheeky wink when he catches you watching him get dressed.
“Want me to wake him up?” He asks, still doing up the buttons on his shirt while giving you a knowing look.
Immediately, you groan, bringing your hands to your face, and fall back into the plush pillows behind you. “Yes please,” you mumble from behind your hands and peek between your fingers to see Draco laughing and walking over to your side of the bed before he leans down and presses another kiss to your head. You bring your hands down and cross them in front of your chest, staring at your husband with a pout on your lips. “He never makes a fuss with you, I don’t get it.”
Draco only laughs harder, pulling away with a smug grin on his face, and makes his way to the door. “I can’t help that he likes me better,” he says from the doorway with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He receives a whine in response, and he sends you one last smile before he leaves the room and walks down the hall in sock-clad feet.
He’s quiet as he approaches the nursery, opening the door slowly, and padders over to the crib. He ducks his head under the mobile and is met with the sight of his sleepy little baby, blond hair askew at the top of his head and a tiny thumb sucked into his mouth. Draco wants to take a second to admire him, let him sleep peacefully for a little while longer; but it’s Christmas Day and there are presents underneath the tree, and he just can’t wait to spoil his favourite boy.
He brings his hand down, fingers gingerly brushing against the fabric of the infant’s pyjamas and tickling his tummy. A gurgle escapes from the back of his son’s throat before he wakes up, eyes fluttering open and little mouth parting to release his first cry of the day.
But then he sees Draco, baby blue eyes meeting sterling silver, and instead of crying, he lets out a happy squeal, kicking his feet under his blanket, and flashes his daddy a very gummy smile.
“Hey Scorp,” Draco grins down at him, scooping him up in the air and holding him out at arm’s length.
Drool is already beginning to collect at Scorpius’s mouth as he continues to babble nonsense, and Draco takes the time to look him over, finally noticing the attire you had chosen to dress him in the previous night. “What in Salazar’s name was she thinking,” he grumbles, already walking towards the changing table with the baby still in his arms.
“Da!” Scorpius squirms in his hold, reaching out and making grabbing motions with his fists in an attempt to snuggle up against his father, but before he even gets close, Draco has him lying down on the table, a set of more appropriate jammies in his hand.
When he finishes changing the baby, he holds him up again, admiring his work, and then Scorpius is at it again, closing and reopening his fists and calling out to his father. “Dada! Dada!”
And it warms Draco’s heart really, how much Scorpius loves him. He wants to shower him in all of the love he never knew when he was a child, the love that only his wife, his soulmate could show him existed. Draco smiles warmly down at the babe once more, giving in to his insistent requests, and cradles his body against his chest, tucking his little blond head into his neck.
Walking out of the nursery is easy, Scorpius is quiet and content in his daddy’s embrace, and Draco holds him tightly as he makes his way to the family room where the fireplace is roaring, the Christmas lights are twinkling, and the crystal ornament shining in glittering letters of ‘baby’s first Christmas’ is hanging from the tree.
“What is he wearing?” You walk into the room, brows furrowed and holding two mugs of marshmallow hot chocolate in your hands as you take in your sleepy son, little arms and little legs all bundled up in a dark green onesie.
Draco cranes his neck to look down at Scorpius, and when he’s met with a very happy baby smiling back at him, he leans down to press little kisses to the crown of his head before he looks back at you and answers, simply, “Pyjamas.”
You scoff, bending down to put the mugs on the table, and come back up, eyes narrowed sceptically and hands resting on your hips. “What happened to the ones I dressed him in last night?”
“The red and gold ones?” Draco waves you off. “They were ghastly, surely you didn’t think I was going to let our son frolic around on Christmas morning dressed as a bloody Gryffindor.”
“They weren’t Gryffindor related! They were festive!” You squeak, and Scorpius has taken to teething on the collar of Draco’s shirt.
“Well, these are festive too,“ he gestures to the green cotton onesie. “And if you ask me, I think the green suits him more anyways.”
Scorpius makes a sound of agreement, humming around the fabric in his mouth, and your expression softens as you walk over to your little family, cupping your husband’s cheek and stroking his skin softly. “You’re very lucky I love you.” And then you’re pulling the baby out of Draco’s grasp, shushing him soothingly when he makes a wail of protest.
“I know my sweet boy, I know,” you cradle him just as Draco had been doing before, “It’s still early for you, I know, but it’s your first Christmas, and mummy and daddy have so many presents for you.”
There’s a pout resting on Draco’s lips as he watches you take the baby, and he chases after you, trailing behind like a lost puppy as you head toward the tree. “I hope you don’t plan on hogging him all day,” he plops down on the floor, right amongst the sea of gifts, “He’s my son too, you kn—“
You plant yourself right in his lap, snuggling into his chest and bouncing Scorpius in your arms. He goes soft immediately, his own arms snaking around your waist and peering over your shoulder to look at your little bundle of joy, giggling and squealing with delight. You lean back, angling your head to look up at him, “Better?” You ask.
He nods, agreeing, “Better,” and gives you a kiss on the cheek.
It isn’t even an hour later when wrapping paper is littering the floor, new toys are flooding the room, and a bright green dragon, plush and bigger than Scorpius’ little body is clutched between his chubby hands.
You’ve left the room, gone to fetch “just a little surprise” for Draco, who is currently lying on the floor, squeezing and tickling his son’s little clothed feet. When you come back in, you’re holding a small, lidded box, all wrapped up in a sparkling fennel bow. He takes it from you curiously, one of his fine brows arched as he looks back and forth between the small parcel in his hand and the woman standing across from him.
“I thought we said no gifts…?”
Bouncing on the balls of your feet, you bring clasped hands up to your mouth to hide your excitement. “I know,” you say gently, “but this one didn’t cost a thing.”
And under any other circumstance, he’s sure he wouldn’t open it, too filled with pride to accept a present from his wife when he himself is empty-handed. But as you stare at him expectantly, eyes shining brighter than the star at the top of the tree, he realizes he doesn’t feel guilt at all. All he feels is love.
Shooting you one last glance to which you nod her head encouragingly, he begins to pull at the ribbon, unravelling the bow completely before he moves on to the lid of the box. He’s not really sure what he’s expecting, but when his eyes make contact with the white stick sitting atop the plush tissue paper, he all but freezes into place because two pink lines are staring at Draco Malfoy right in his perfectly sculpted face.
There’s a pregnant pause, and though it's cliche, no other word could describe it so perfectly. Draco’s mouth is parted with awe when he looks up and there are already tears in your eyes as you kneel to the floor in front of him, Scorpius pulled into your lap, and a bashful grin stretching across your cheeks.
“You’re pregnant?” It comes out choked, his bottom lip wobbling ever so slightly.
After transferring Scorpius to one arm and using the other to brush Draco’s unruly bangs from his face, you laugh happily. “Yeah, baby,” you breathe, tucking his blond strands behind his ear. “I’m pregnant.”
There’s a storm outside and yet Draco is sure he’s never felt warmer.
He sits on the floor, his son in his arms, and the promise of a lifetime with the love of his life resting in his palm. He is quite literally holding his world in his hands, and it occurs to him, then and there, that it truly is exceptionally lovely being Draco Malfoy.

Popular/ A Draco Malfoy x reader one-shot
Tumblr media
House: Gryffindor or slytherin
Blood: half or pure
Warning:tw? I guess, reader if kind of in a depressive state?
Wc: 700+ give or take 🤷‍♀️
=============================
{3rd person pov}
Y/n L/n. Y/n is one of the most popular girls at Hogwarts. She has goddess-like looks, shes kind, smart, anything a guy could possibly want. A lot of boys got their eye on her but she has an eye for one blond boy in particular. Draco Malfoy is his name. The slytherin prince, Y/n was crowned the princess of her house in fact (gryffindor or slytherin)
Everyone wanted to be Y/n. They never knew what went on behind every smile, every laugh. They knew nothing about her life. If her eyes could show her soul people would be surprised.
~~~~~~
Y/n was walking down to divination, the class she dreaded the most.
Although hearing all the different possibilities and ways you're going to die was a little much for her.
She'd been thinking about dropping the class since she thought it was a bunch of crap anyway.
But it was a reason to get things off her mind. A reason to get al the things going on in her head out for awhile.
~~~~~~
After all the classes Y/n went to the library to do some studying.
And maybe grab a book or two.
After studying for a little bit, she decided to grab a book on simple spells and charms.
But of course it was out of her reach.
"Need help darling," a male voice had said
"W-what?"
He had pressed his chest on her back reaching over her to grab the book on spells and charms.
If she wasn't a blushing mess right now, she didn't know what would make her blush.
"Was this the book darling?" Draco had questioned
"Uhm- y-yes it is. Thank you Draco." Y/n said smiling a bit
"No problem Y/n." He returned the smile and walked off somewhere.
~~~~~~~
Y/n was at dinner and oddly enough the mail was late. It usually came around lunch.
She was sitting next to one of her only best friends. She was one of the only people who actually knew what was going on in y/ns life. They did live next to each other after all.
"Mail came in extremely late today." Valerie stated (yes I gave her a name so just go with it(: )
"Yeah it did." Y/n replied
She awaited for her owl, for something to come.
The owl dropped a few letters, one being a howler.
"I have to go valerie" y/n said grabbing her stuff, taking the letter with her to black lake.
~~~~~~
Once Y/n had gotten there she opened the howler speedily.
It was from her father.. uh oh Y/n thought. Mentally preparing for the worst.
"Y/n! M/n! L/n! Your grades should be way higher than this! I expected better of you! You are such a disgrace to the family name! I raised you better than this! And I told you to stop being friends with that girl valerie! Didnt I! She is a bad influence to you! Look at what she has done! Look at your grades! You are a pathetic excuse for a daughter."
Y/n had slumped down by a tree and watched as the letter ripe itself up.
She sighed bringing her knees up to her chest and hugging them.
She cried and cried and cried. She only wanted her father to be proud of her, sure she was rich and her life seemed perfect, but she lacked love. Her mother had left. But Y/n understood why now.
She had continued to cry until she had heard something behind her.
She quickly wiped her eyes and her cheeks and tried her best to stop weeping. But she couldnt really.
"H-hello? Is anyone t-there?" She asked standing up slightly
Out from behind the shadows came a boy with platinum blond hair. Draco.
"Are you okay Y/n?" He asked concern in his voice
"I uhm- heard the letter"
She said nothing, instead she went up to him and started hugging him tightly.
He was taken aback by this but he didnt complain. Getting hugged by his crush, he couldn't be happier.
Y/n had started crying again.
"I tried so hard d-draco a-and he's s-still not h-happy with m-me" Y/n weeped
"Hey hey it's okay darling, shhh stop crying"
"B-but I just w-want-" she was cut off by Draco's lips on hers
She was taken aback but she kissed back
"It's okay darling, he may just see a pathetic girl, but I see perfection, a ray of sunshine, I think that you're perfect just the way you are, you're smart, you're a literally goddess and if anyone thinks otherwise they are clearly out of their minds"
"Thank you Draco" Y/n said smiling slightly

♡ love risk ; draco malfoy
— you’d be surprised girl, soon they’ll mean nothing to you..
♪: in another time by sade 🌸
‧˚₊•┈┈┈┈୨୧┈┈┈┈•‧₊˚⊹
“Do you think you’re funny?” He asked her, tearing her love letter into paper snow.
“..No. I’m being serious. I love you, Draco.”
“Where did you even get the courage to ask me? Who even allowed you to think you’d be able to catch feelings for me, once?”
“I thought you liked me..” She replied, regret swarming the aura around them. “I sent you this note because I was relieved to tell you all of my feelings.”
“What a foolish assumption to make, you stupid girl.” He spat, while fiddling around with the chip of paper, scribbled with smudged ink. “I’d be looked at as a joke.”
She stood in front of him, body stunned with his heartbreaking words. She could feel the thumping of her heart turn into shards of pain, that became broken at the sound of an internal cry. She looked at him with a solemn expression, the memories of her and him only flooding her thoughts, the pain it caused her feeling like a violent beating. A punishment that the girl had dared to risk, and that she deserved for pursuing such a boy.
Her tears slid down her reddened cheeks as she brought her eyes to the stone cold floor, her own words echoing throughout the empty corridor even in faint whispers.
“Why are you saying this to me?..”
“Because I know it would get you to leave me alone.”
“Did you really enjoy the time we spent together? The time that you chose to be with me? Or did you lie?”
The boy could only look to the side, unable to face her. He felt himself conduct a large swallow, overwhelmed at how much time he had contributed to their friendship, remorse engulfing his soul.
“No. Not now.”
“Not now?” She asked him.
“I regret every moment with you.”
Her replies became slow, her emotion becoming more dazed by each word he said, and each cold look he presented her.
“What’s happened to you, Draco?”
“Don’t call me that, I’ve always hated it.”
“Is there a reason why you’re being so cruel, I know you were always a prick, but could you possibly have some decency, even here? Is it impossible for you, to be considerate, once?”
He edged closer to her, rage painted across his once conflicted face, towering over the girl. He hissed through his gritted teeth, which had once gave her a sweet smile, the one she had always daydreamed about when not beside him, when missing him.
“You are insane,” He said, his eyes widening with the more anger firing in his mind. “You must be an idiot, saying that to me with such bravery, with such a brash look on your face.”
“I may be an idiot! In fact, I’ve been a total idiot!” She says, wiping the stream away from her face. “The amount of time I’ve spent with you, gone to waste, because of my reckless decisions to send you that stupid letter. The letter that never meant anything to you. The letter that you just ripped.”
“I’m glad to know we are on mutual terms, then!” He glared at her cowered figure, her lips trembling with the suffering of her speech. The boy brought a cold palm to his face, covering his agonised expression, knowing that the girl he saw before him held a weight in his frigid heart, but that he had to do this to prevent her becoming involved in his dangerous acts. If he’d hurt her enough, she would avoid him, and be safe from him. Safe from the problems he causes.
“There must be a reason… for this..” She clenched her skirt, eager for a glimmer of hope, to retrieve him from the clasps of his decision. “I don’t care who you are, or what you do, or what happens to me when I’m with you, I love you, with my heart, my body, my soul. I go weak when I’m near you, I feel like my throat closes and I can’t speak. The feeling of just being a mere distance from you is electrifying. It’s all too much to put into words. I don’t want to frustrate you, but everytime I look at you my words spill. I can’t go on without you.”
“Soon, your tears about me won’t leave a trace.” His voice softened, but still laced with frustration and apprehension. “I can’t be with you. For reasons that I must not explain, or I’d be in deep trouble and I’d be messing with the strings of my fate, and yours… which is something I don’t want to bear responsibility for.”
“I don’t care who you are.”
“But I care about who I am.” He took hold of her distressed hand, shaking from his previous words. “And I don’t want you to be hurt. I was being so harsh, as I hoped you would cut me out of your life forever. So you’d run and find someone else to be happy with. You are an idiot for trusting me, believing in me. I am a much different person you see, and I know it would cause you too much pain that a girl like you could handle.”
“If you were by my side, I could handle anything. Just don’t try to push me away.”
His figure stepped closer to hers, leaning to level his face with hers, softly grazing his lips onto the ones before him. He held her cheek with his cold palm, his thumb brushing her wet face, while his other hand gripped her trembling one tighter. The kiss lasted for ages, but felt like only seconds of passion.
“I’m sorry.” He said, pulling away from her softly, admiring the unfortunate smile forming onto her lips. The smile that he needed, and the one that motivated him to stay, forever. He knows that he was making a severe mistake, one that could have cost him his life, but if it were to save hers, it was a risk he was willing to take.

thank you for reading this — i’m not too much of an experienced writer, so i’m sorry if this sounds weird on any parts. i felt very inspired by the song ‘in another time’ by sade, it provoked some feelings into me to write some angst. the story itself isnt based off of the song too much, since i did want to add a little bit of redemption for draco lol, but tell me if you like it!
also there were some accidental mistakes with what person view i was writing in, i want to clarify this is third person and i decided to change it halfway through, ive tried to spot as many mistakes as i can so hopefully theyre all fixed!

Draco Malfoy is in love, and he hates it. He hates it with every bone in his body, every ligament and nerve and neuron that conspired to make him fall in love with his best friend. There is no chance that this little crush could possibly go anywhere, not with the two of them being who they are the way they are, but still. Draco’s heart persists, and he’s lost on her. It’s terrible.
In a perfect world, this never would have happened. Draco knows full well that there’s only a specific list of people that he could possibly marry, and that this list has most likely been drawn up by his parents when they were a little too nervous and full of envy towards the wealthiest wizarding families that don’t yet include Malfoys.
They’d have to be rich, certainly, his future spouse. Smart, cunning, a Slytherin. If they found somebody that checked all the boxes but was a Ravenclaw, they might unhappily let it slide, so long as Draco provided them with proof that it would work out.
He’s known this all along, that in the end he’ll likely never have any say over the person he’ll spend the rest of his life bound to in eternal contract. That may be why he fell for Y/N, actually, the last shred of rebellion left in him trying to act out before finally being shut down. Still, some part of him has always wondered if he might manage to get out of it somehow.
After all, surely his parents were able to do it, too. Sometimes, Draco wonders how that worked out, if they’ve ever loved each other at all or if they were yet another match drawn up by yet another generation of parents. How far does this go back, this endless tide of formality? All they have is pure blood and old magic, nothing more and nothing less. It is one neverending monotony.
He doesn’t think that was entirely the case with his parents, though. They still talk to each other like they don’t want to ever be without their counterpart, like they’ve never been a chore, not to each other. Perhaps they loved each other and found a way to bend the system long enough to get married. Besides, before his mother was a Malfoy she was Narcissa Black, and she always cherished that little headstrong spark that told her to get what she wanted, no questions asked.
So, looking at Y/N, Draco thinks that he might even have a chance. All he has to do is make it count. Then again, the problem with his crush on Y/N is that it was born of misfortune, and he knows it. Draco loves Y/N like Icarus loved the sun, how a curious finger loves an open flame. There is no world in which he’ll be able to have her, not without burning himself to ashes, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t want to try anyway. His future has already been prophesied and written out in stone, but Draco will attempt to fight it anyway. Such is the fate of men.
The worst part of it is how close they are, how close they will always be. The worst part of falling for your best friend is that you can’t escape it, no matter how hard you try. Wherever Draco goes, he is confronted with Y/N smiling over some joke, Y/N walking with him to class, Y/N in every corner and tower of this place. He can’t go a moment without seeing her, so how is he supposed to last a lifetime?
She’s across the table from him now, both of them sequestered at the Slytherin section of the Great Hall. Draco has friends on either side of him, but even they aren’t enough to bolster him. Nothing in this world can keep him secure from the feeling that he will be like this forever: always separated by something, a table, a family, anything.
For all intents and purposes, though, she’s right there, right out of reach. Draco knows every piece of her like a puzzle, but he can’t seem to figure out how to make a picture in which they’re both together. He knows how her eyes shine when she laughs, the furrow in her brow whenever she studies. The scent of her perfume teases him now, making it impossible to think about anything else. It’s sweet and sharp, blood curled like roses around a dagger.
Draco’s fingers itch at his sides to do something, anything, but he can’t find physical relief. If he could, he would reach out and take hold of Y/N’s heart now, maybe find a way to make it beat in tune with his, but he can’t. Instead he grabs an apple from a nearby serving tray. It’s green, and reminds him of the shine of the summer sun on Y/N’s tie. For months now, he’s had to hold himself back from fixing the cloth strip even when it’s crooked, because the call to keep his hands lingering on her would be too much for him to handle.
The apple cracks beneath his teeth in a crisp sound, drenching his teeth in sweet sour. The fruit is good for something, perhaps, because it stoppers up his despair when Pansy starts asking about the boy she saw Y/N with recently. Y/N claims that she’s stuck on some boy on the Quidditch team, and Draco looks away hurriedly so she won’t see the flash of pain in his eyes and he won’t see how she glances at him again and again when she says it. The sweet juice of the fruit almost covers up the bile rising in his throat. Almost.
One week later, Draco finds himself in one of many courtyards on the Hogwarts grounds. This one is home to a few twisting apple trees, brought here by some wizard long since dead. This one bears green fruit, similar to the one he’d had the other day. Draco isn’t particularly hungry, but the sweet scent rolling off of the tree in waves caught his attention as he was passing by.
It reminds him of Y/N’s perfume. Walking here underneath the branches, he can practically feel the sweet air pressing against him like a second skin, enveloping him in the sensation that for right now, he is not alone. If he closes his eyes, he can pretend that he is not alone.
It isn’t enough, though, this dream. None of Draco’s dreams ever are. He opens his eyes and stares resolutely at the gnarled tree, the branches as thick as his arm that stretch up to the sky. Aren’t we all reaching for something we can’t have? Even trees, wretched guardians with their centuries of life, still search the sky for the chance that they, too, might touch it someday.
Draco’s nails cut into the skin of an apple as he pulls it from the tree. He stares at it, nestled in his palm like poor Yorick, before biting into it anyway. This one is more sour than the others, it almost burns his tongue with its sharp tang. Draco eats it as he walks, occasionally tossing it in the air just so he can feel it return to him again. There will never be an end to this emptiness, will there? As long as he lives (or as short), he will never find himself complete.
Draco’s affinity for green apples only grows over the next few weeks. He can’t explain it, nor does he truly need an explanation. He didn’t think anyone really noticed, either, until one day he rounds a corner of the school on a break between classes and finds Y/N walking towards him, green apple in hand.
She raises it in acknowledgement, easily drifting to his side as if he’d been her end goal all along. “Figured I’d join you on the trend. These are pretty good, actually.”
Draco feels so surprised that she’s noticed this miniscule change in his behavior that he almost doesn’t know what to say. “What?”
She flashes him a grin, quick as a sparrow. “I saw you eating green apples specifically,” she says, “Although I didn’t get it at first, I do now. These are delicious.”
Draco blinks at her, confused. “Thanks, I think. Were you specifically waiting to find me before you started eating it?”
He gestures at the unbitten surface of the apple, and Y/N laughs. “Well, I figured having the actual prop in my hand would explain the conversation topic. Also, I wanted an excuse to talk to you.”
Draco frowns. “You’ve never needed an excuse before.”
Y/N sighs. “That was before. I don’t know why, but you’ve started acting differently. Figured if I could get you to talk about something as insignificant as green apples, you might stick around for longer than a couple minutes.”
Draco winces. He didn’t think he was being that obvious, but really, it’s been hard to look Y/N in the eyes every day knowing full well that he’d gladly spend the rest of his life with her if she even gave him a fraction of her time. Seeing as she’d never feel the same way, well, what’s the point in all of this?
“Guess I’ve been distracted. I’ve got a lot of things going on right now, as you well know.”
Draco kind of hates himself as soon as he says it. He sounds like his father’s son right now, some sort of arrogant, brash boy who pretends he doesn’t need anyone to cover up the fact that he needs them far too much. His own self-fulfilling prophecy is coming true; Draco is already the son that his parents think he’ll be. The only problem is that Y/N has always been too good for a Malfoy boy, which is why he’s done his best to hide this side of himself.
Y/N arches a brow, as able as ever to see straight through him. “Our most recent round of exams ended last week, so I’d say that you aren’t that busy. Look, you’ve always been honest with me. Can you just tell me if you don’t want to spend time with me anymore? It’ll make this easier for both of us.”
Draco’s breath catches in his throat. How does he tell her that he wants nothing of the sort, that he’s been cutting himself off so he doesn’t encroach on her own freedom? If Draco was half as selfish as Y/N thinks he is, he would have never left. He never would allow himself to live in a world without her, even for a minute.
His pride, however, doesn’t allow him to say a word of that. Draco despises that of himself, that even in this critical moment he still cares about what the nameless masses will think of him, but it’s the truth, and it will never go away.
“I do want to spend time with you,” he manages, “Just like everyone else. I didn’t realize that you felt that way.”
Y/N’s laugh is a little too jaded to be real. “I wouldn’t know that from seeing you. Draco, we have been friends since our first year. Can you at least stop lying to me? I think you owe me that much.”
Draco stares at her, tries to come up with a suitable excuse that won’t completely butcher his heart, and fails. His final boundaries are caving, just as he feared they always would. Draco assumed he would be able to hide his feelings forever, but it makes sense that the one person he would end up telling would be Y/N herself. He has never been able to keep walls up between the two of them, not even in his heart.
At last, he raises his chin in one last attempt at a protective shield, and tells her the truth. “I love you,” he says as simply as he can, “I love you, and it scares me that you don’t feel the same. Too much time getting what I want, I suppose, I don’t know what to do now that I can’t have it anymore.”
He disguises the words behind a self-deprecating sort of smile, the same smile his father wears when politicking with the best. He is a politician’s son, a duplicitous prodigy, and he will never be able to escape the Malfoy legacy.
Y/N is deadly silent, and to spare himself further pain, Draco turns and starts to leave. He doesn’t get very far, though, before Y/N calls out after him.
“Who said anything about you not getting what you want?”
Draco freezes in place, not daring to even turn around. Y/N walks slowly up to him, until she’s standing in front of him once more.
“I know how I feel,” she admits, “and it’s far more than I should. I like you too, Draco, if you’ll have me. Just stop trying to be a martyr about it all, okay?”
Draco stares at her, mind reeling, and then the stormy skies clear long enough for him to smile. “I’ll do my best.”
Y/N smiles too, and at last, Draco knows that he will be alright. Perhaps fate finds itself capable of skipping a generation on occasion. Draco has just found love regardless of status, and it means everything to him. As it turns out, breaking a prophecy only requires a loophole of suitable force, and he has discovered it in loving Y/N. Nothing could bring him more happiness.

“We can start over. I’ll do anything, everything can be perfect. Just please don’t leave me.” they pleaded, following the blonde through the dungeons. He frowned, not making eye contact and heading up the stairs, making his way to the grand hall. “Draco, please!” they continued, grabbing his arm as he pulled his arm away. “Go away, Y/n. I told you; we’re done.” he said through gritted teeth, ignoring the voice screaming at him in his head and his gut and heart dropping. He didn’t want to let them go, they were the only thing he found comfort in, but he couldn’t lead them to harm. They were a pureblood Slytherin like him, but their parents were the complete opposite to his. Even though the pair of them were unbelievably alike, their parents could not be more different. He couldn’t risk his parents bringing them or their family into what he was forced into, the dark lords plan.
“Y/n, come on.” Blaze said, putting a hand on their shoulder and bringing them into the grand hall, glaring at Draco. He turned away, heading up the stairs and waiting by the wardrobe for the signal he was told to look for. Blaise pulled Y/n into his side, consoling them. “You need to eat, and then we can go back to the common room. I’ll get him to talk to you, I promise.” he assured, smiling sadly and wiping their tears away. Y/n grabbed the smallest slice of toast and ate it, too lost in their thoughts whilst everyone else around them had conversations of their own, occasionally glancing at them to make sure they were okay. Once they were finished, he helped them up, Y/n locking their arm with his and walking back. Blaise muttered the password, letting Y/n walk in first who collapsed onto the sofa, their head in their hands. At that moment, Draco walked in, hiding something behind his back and heading into his dorm room.
“Are you going to talk to her then?” Blaise asked, walking in after him and quietly pushing the door shut. “There’s nothing to talk about.” he bluntly answered, not changing his mind. Blaise groaned before shaking his head and walking to the door. “They deserve to know at least why.” he suggested, walking out and giving Y/n a hug. Draco sat on his bed, debating it for five minutes before heading downstairs. Blaise looked at him and got up, looking at him. “You have ten minutes, Y/n if you need me, call me.” he instructed, going into the room next door to give them privacy. “I’m sorry, Y/n.” he admitted, sitting on the sofa opposite them. “But why? There was nothing wrong with us, and I love you. I don’t want to let you go.” they said, looking up at him, their eyes watering and pain in their eyes. “I’m not worthy of you, and I never will be. You’re too good for me.” he confessed, pausing and debated on telling them the truth or not. “Look, there’s stuff going home, and I can’t risk you getting involved.” he finished, y/n shaking their head. “I don’t care, I love you and it doesn’t matter as long as I get to be with you.” they pleaded, Draco now shaking his head and getting up, turning his back.
“I’m sorry Y/n, this is goodbye.”

Forever
Draco Malfoy x Reader
Summary: when draco betrays you and your friends, your relationship ends. after the war you show him the wonders of the muggle world, and attempt to find your way back to each other.
Word Count: ~2k
Requested: Yes! By Anon
A/N: enjoy friends.
Tumblr media
It’d always been the four of you, Hermione, Y/N, Ron, and Harry. The Golden Quartet, that’s what the rest of your house had nicknamed you after your first year at Hogwarts.
You all got along really well with each other, aside from a few squabbles here and there. The only serious fight your group had ever gotten in was over your boyfriend. Draco Malfoy. It hadn’t gone over well when you first told Harry you were dating his rival, but they grew to accept it, or, at least, tolerate it. Especially when they saw how happy you were the whole summer after your fourth year. Now it was your fifth year, and your group was starting to feel the pressure to protect your school from Voldemort’s growing army.
Which is why Hermione had come up with the idea to start Dumbledore’s army. Harry would lead it, and you would oversee recruiting students you felt would be a good fit, and even more importantly, be able to keep it a secret. It went well for a while, until Umbridge burst through the wall with the Inquisitorial Squad, and your boyfriend, who was gripping Cho Chang’s shoulder. The smirk on his face faded when he saw that you were also standing in the room.
When you finally escape Umbridge’s office, you find him waiting in the hall for you. You attempt to walk right past where he’s leaning against the column. He rushes to follow you. “Y/N, wait up!”
“You’re infuriating.” You barely stop moving to tell him off, “How could you do something like that?”
“I didn’t know it was your secret meeting!”
“But you knew Harry was involved! And Hermione, and Ron… why would you think I wouldn’t be there too?” You hiss at him, grabbing his arm to pull him a little further from the group. “Gods Draco, don’t you understand how serious this is becoming?” His face doesn’t change, and if he did know anything from his family, he didn’t show it. You sigh, exasperated. “Maybe this isn’t working anymore.”
“What are you talking about?” He holds your elbow, a scowl forming on his lips.
“I mean-“ You remove your arm from his hold. “I can’t trust you anymore. And I think staying with you would put everyone else I care about at risk.” You pause. “And I don’t think I’m willing to do that.” You wrap your arms around yourself and look down, missing Draco’s heart breaking in front of you. You bring your eyes back to him when you hear him sniff, but his face has hardened.
“If that’s what you want. I’m not going to stop you.” He says monotonously. “Better get back to Umbridge. Lots of punishing to do.” He sneers, walking past you.
You successfully avoided each other for the rest of the school year, aside from you almost being killed by his father, which you doubted he knew about. It hurt, and you had some regrets about it, especially once you returned for your 6th year. Draco had changed, you knew he had, and you knew why too. Though Hermione and Ron thought he was wrong for thinking so, you knew Harry was right. Draco had to have been a death eater now. You kept an eye on him from afar, still trying to help him in any ways you could think of, without him ever knowing. The only time you got close was after he ended up in the infirmary thanks to Harry. After that, you stopped seeing him around the castle. The next time you saw him was when he was helping your quartet escape the dungeons of his home, the next, at the Battle for Hogwarts.
And then after that, in your muggle home, with the rest of your family, Snape, and the Malfoys.
“They’re what?” You stared at your parents, completely dumbfounded by the news they had just shared. The Malfoys, coming to stay at your house. “We have more than enough room, Y/N, and they need a place to hide out. Where better than in a muggle safehouse?” Snape had been arranging guests in and out of your house for months since the war, making sure the last death eaters couldn’t hurt anyone else. And now, that included your ex-boyfriend and his notoriously judgmental parents, who, last you checked, had never approved of your relationship. Oh, and one of them had tried to murder you. Great.
It made you anxious to see him again. It’d only been a few months since you’d seen him walk to his parents’ sides, and that sight had pained your heart so badly you snuck away for a few minutes to catch your breath. When you returned, he was gone, and all hell had broken loose. You hadn’t spoken more than two words to each other, literally, since your breakup.
It was an awkward reunion, but it was cordial. It was strange to see them ‘reformed’ and you weren’t sure if you could actually trust them, but a part of you would always trust Draco. His parents weren’t outright snobby, you figured they appreciated the safety, but you kept your distance. Draco kept his distance also, at least for the first few days.
You had a bathrobe on and freshly wet hair when you walked out of the bathroom on the second floor and crashed right into Draco. You would’ve easily slipped and fallen on your ass if he hadn’t of caught you before you could. When you notice how close you are to each other, you clear your throat and you both step back. An awkward moment of silence passes, and then you give him a shy smile, gesturing to the bathroom, “All yours!” and scurry away.
You share awkward smiles when you see each other after that, even exchanging in small talk occasionally. It was getting harder for you to ignore each other living in the same house, especially at dinner. You and Draco seemed to be on the same schedule, and often found each other in the kitchen.
One evening, you walked in on him attempting to work the air fryer. You stand leaning against the wall just watching him, amused, until he sighs in frustration and turns around.
“How long have you been standing there?” You push off the wall and smirk.
“Long enough to see you be beat by a kitchen appliance.” You cross the kitchen and stand next to him, pushing his hands off the control panel that he had starting fiddling with again.
“How are you supposed to know the temperature of the item?” He’s grumbling again. You glance at what’s inside and press a single button, starting the preset, then look at him with another smirk. As you turn around to lean back against the counter, the fryer starts up.
He looks dumbfounded for a single second, until you both realize simultaneously how close you are to each other. Thighs almost touching, you attempt to ease the tension.
“…easy” You mutter. That gets him to crack a smile. After a beat, he hesitantly brings his hand up to cradle your face.
“I’ve missed you, Y/N.” You lean into his palm, and in a surge of confidence, you put a hand on his side a pull him so he’s standing in front of you, and closer.
“I’ve missed you too.” You’re both whispering, you can’t help it. The moment feels almost sacred.
You tilt your head, the hesitation evident in both of your movements as you move toward his lips. When they finally meet, you feel like you’d been missing a piece of your heart in the years since you’d last kissed. The beeping of the air fryer causes you to jump away from him startled.
“Um…I’ll leave you to it!”
You try to move past him, but he grabs your arm, cocking an eyebrow.
“Are you seriously trying to leave after that?”
You start to protest but he interrupts you- “Stay.” It’s a simple request, but it changes the course of your entire life.
You sigh into the phone a week later. “I don’t know ‘Mione, it’s been years yes, but he just seems… lighter. Does that make sense? Like he doesn’t have the weight of the world on his shoulders.”
“Thanks to us.” You scoff from your position on your bed, laying on your back with your head hanging off the side, the telephone cord twirled around your fingers. “Just a joke! But in all seriousness, I don’t see what’s stopping you. I mean it’s been what- 2-3 years since you dated? You’re both immensely different people.”
You let out another sigh and bite your lip, conveniently leaving out the part where you had already kissed. “You’re right. It’d be different now, wouldn’t it?”
“Of course! You’ve both grown up a lot and-“ You pull the phone from your ear and sit up, still faintly hearing Hermione continue, but focusing on the quiet knocks coming from the other side of your door. “Y/N?”
“Come in!” Draco peeks his head into the room before pushing the door open fully and then closing it behind him. “I gotta go, ‘Mione, say hi to Ronald!”
“Wait what? Is that him? Did he seriously just walk in-“ You slam the phone down to end the call and then turn to Draco.
“Hey.” You smile at him.
“Hey.” He sits down next to you on the bed. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt…whatever you were doing.” He vaguely gestures to the phone. “Oh! No, I was just talking to Hermione. It’s no interruption.”
“Ah right. All the amazing muggle inventions.” You roll your eyes playfully. “Come on, you’ve got to admit it’s pretty cool. Don’t have to wait for an owl, and you can hear each other’s voices.”
“Yeah, yeah.” He shifts from his place. “You know I think this world is growing on my parents. I think they like being in a place where no one knows who we are.” He gives you a small smile. “I’ve liked being here too.”
You jab his side playfully, “Could that have something to do with our kitchen kiss?” You tease.
He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you to his chest, acting like he’s going to wrestle you down.
“Maybe…” You look at him as your laughter fades.
“I haven’t seen you like this in a while.” You admit, almost regretting it when the air shifts serious. But then he’s smiling softly, keeping his arms around you.
“That’s because I’ve been missing the source of my happiness.” Your heart soars. “I meant what I said then. I’ve missed you, everything about you, and it almost killed me to be without you.”
He takes a deep breath. You shift so you’re sitting up again, and take his hands in yours, rubbing the back of his hands comfortingly.
“I was in a really dark place.” He meets your gaze, eyes watering. “It felt completely hopeless.” He squeezes your hands.
“And then you four saved us all. And I never thanked you for that. I don’t know who I would be if it wasn’t for you. Truly.” Tears are falling from your eyes as you listen to him, and you don’t hesitate to kiss him again.
He cups your face, and you can feel every emotion behind this kiss. Neither of you say a single word, but all the pain from the last few years, your breakup, the war, and the promise of happiness in the future, is understood.
“I love you Y/N, and I want to keep loving you for the rest of my life.” He rests his forehead against yours, his hands still cupping your face. You hold them there, and despite the tears running down both of your faces, you smile, and nod.
“Forever.”

**************⚜️************* First perspective:
“Mother.. Do I really have to do this?” I asked my mother who was busy wearing her jewels.
“Yes. How many times do I have to tell you? You and Draco are getting married. There’s no buts and that’s all final.” My mom stood up from her chair and rested a hand my shoulder.
“You and him match. You’re both gonna bring such beautiful children. Be thankful me and your father convinced the Malfoys.” She whispered, me having shivers down my spine.
She then walked away and left me with thoughts.
Yeah. Me and Draco were enemies ever since the beginning. Ever since we were 11! We only knew each other because our parents would visit each other every week. Yet, I still remember how we met!

*FLASHBACK*
I was just going to my living room to return something my mom told until I see a blonde haired boy casting a spell on a certain item.. MY MUM’S SPECIAL PLATE?!
I immediately placed the item I’ve been holding and ran over to the boy.
“Hey! Stop it! Please! That’s my mum’s special plate! Please stop using your wand!” I yelled, trying to remove the wand off the blonde haired boy’s hand.
“It’s me who’s gonna decide wether I do or not. So, I’ll not give it back, thank you!” He smirked, removing the charm off the plate then it fell, breaking.
“NO!” I yelled, looking at the scattered pieces of the plate.
“Oops.” He sarcastically said.
“You’re gonna pay for this! Erm.. BLONDE HAIRED BOY!” I screamed at him.
“DON’T CALL ME THAT, FILTHY PURE- BLOOD! I AM DRACO, DRACO MALFOY! AND YOU’RE FILTHY LITTLE Y/N.” He yelled back.
“I AM NOT FILTHY-“ before I could even finish my sentence, I heard a woman gasping in shock.
“Y/N Y/LN! WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN HAVE YOU DONE?! YOU BROKE MY SPECIAL PLATE ABD YOU COULD’VE HURT DRACO!” I turned to look at my mom, who was furious.
“Mom! But it wasn’t even-“ my mom cut me off by dragging me, leaving the room and only seeing Draco smirking evil like before I did.

*END OF FLASHBACK*
I just sighed. Why Draco? Why not anyone else? I’m just too confused right now.
As I was just staring at the ceiling, someone came in. And at my surprise, it was Draco.
“Don’t even think about it, Y/LN. I’m only here to check if you’re not planning to cancel our so called “marriage.” It’s the only way to make my parents proud at me. So, I’ve got my eye on you.” He said, with a stern voice, giving me a glare then left, slamming the door.
I just rolled my eyes. He is so annoying! But… It’s the only way to make his parents proud? At him? What does he mean by that? No no no no! Y/N! Don’t think about him now. It’s worthless! Plus, the wedding’s tomorrow. I don’t think I’ll ever survive this hectic world!
While I was thinking, there was a knock on the door.
“Who is it?” I yelled.
“It’s me, Miss Y/LN. Your house elf.” The speech was quite muffled but I heard it.
“Come in I guess.” I said as they open the door, with a white dress which I suppose was my wedding dress.
“Oh..” I only looked at it but the house elf started to talk.
“Your mother ordered me to tell you to wear it and check if it suits you. If not, I shall escort you to your mother’s wedding gown room.” The house elf told.
“Okay. You may leave now.” I grabbed the dress and they leave, closing the door.
I sighed, looking at the dress again. It’s not gonna catch Draco’s eyes anyways. Well. Unless if it’s someone who he has a crush on.
I removed what I was wearing then wore the dress. I removed my hair tie then my hair swiftly went out of it. I went over to the mirror, looking at myself. You might think I was happy but, I had a frown plastered all over my face.
I took the crown which I was supposed to wear for the wedding and wore the necklace.
“Pfft. This is so useless.” I started removing all the accessories and wore my nightgown.
I went out of my room, informing the house elf about my dress and they just nodded. I then left to go to my living room but, as soon as I was about to enter inside, there was a slight open space on the door, only leaving me to see Draco talking to someone.
“Why do I have to marry her? Why can’t it be Astoria? She’s better than this filthy rubbish.” He said.
“Draco! Don’t talk bad about your fiancé! Be thankful you’re getting married. It took time for me to get married to your father!” A woman’s voice responded. I guess it was his mother.
“Well! You married someone you love so why can’t I marry someone I love? Astoria? Why can’t it be her?” He said, I feel tears rolling down my face but I just wiped it anyway.
“Draco.. Astoria has a blood curse. It’ll be risky when you two will have a kid. She’ll die anytime but for Y/N? You can have so much children as you want. You should continue to bloodline! They’re rich, they’re all Slytherins and, they’re pure-bloods!” She stood up from her chair, Draco sighing.
“Fine. I’m only doing this because… You know what! Never mind.. Sorry, mother.” He stood up as well, about to go out of the door but I immediately left and hid behind one of the walls.
“My baby boy has grown so well.” Narcissa kissed his cheek, Draco being still and idle.
I decided not to watch more since my eyes were starting to get blurry due to tiredness. I ran to my room and turned off all the lights, only leaving me with the moonlight.
As I was about to get myself ready to sleep and get comfortable in my bed, a repeated knock was heard on the door.
“Please! I’m about to go to slee-“ I got cut off by Draco rushing inside.
“My mother ordered me to invite you to my room. She says “it’s nice if you’d two sleep together so when you both are married, you’ll get used to it.” But, when we do, I do not want any single touch from you. And, I want you to be in a long distance. My bed is big so don’t worry about leaving tons of space.” He says, fixing his sleeve, not even giving me eye contact.
“Oh don’t worry. I don’t even wanna be close to you! I’m only marrying you because our parents arranged it.” I said, grabbing my pillow.
“You talk so much! This is the first reason why I hate you.” He said, opening the door and closing it before I even tried to get out.
“Ever heard of a word called gentleman?!” I yelled, opening the door for myself and closing it after I went outside.
“Perhaps I’m not one when it comes to you.” He muttered. I just rolled my eyes.
He took out his wand and apparated us to his room which, I expected, was big.
“You sleep on the left and I sleep on the right. Keep what I just said on your mind. Understand?” He raised a brow.
“Yeah whatever.” I just flipped my hair and went to the left side of the bed, giving him too much space.
I then felt the bed shake which meant he’s on the bed as well. I decided to turn my right, only ending up staring directly into his eyes in a far distance.
“What did I say?” He asked.
“You never said I could never turn to my sides.” I said, annoyed and decided to turn back to my left.

*THE DAY OF THE WEDDING*
Three women helped decorate the rest of my dress. Well, they added a few sparkles and gems of course. Later that, they attached my veil.
“Miss. Y/LN! We won’t be able to call you that anymore since you’re marrying such a wealthy man. You’re extremely lucky!” One of them said. I just faked a chuckle.
“Haha! Totally..” I mumbled as I wore my crown and got my bouquet of flowers.
“Are you ready, Miss?” They asked, I just nodded.
“I was born ready.” I smiled then went out of the changing room, getting inside the carriage.
After a few minutes, we finally reached the place where I’ll get married. A luxurious one actually.
“My daughter!” My father yelled and slowly came to hug me.
“Hello, father.” I smiled at him.
“Good luck, Y\N. Now, go to your groom.” My mom said, giving me the look.
“Yes mother…” I just mumbled then started walking down the aisle.
As I was walking, I can see Draco staring at me. Not filled with love or shock. But instead, with disgust.
I just gulped. I didn’t really like this feeling where there are stares everywhere.
I finally reached the place where Draco was and I was on the opposite side of him. Him facing me and me facing him.
After a few minutes of speaking, this word finally came…
“Now. Will you, Draco Lucius Malfoy, take Y/N Y/LN as your lawfully wedded wife?”
Draco just stood in silence until he broke it.
“I… Do.” He says, kinda muttering it.
“And now. Will you, Y/N Y/LN take Draco Lucius Malfoy as your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I do.” I said, plainly.
“You may now kiss the bride.” The man said, Draco just glaring at me.
He then came closer to me, removing my veil off my face.
He then leaned in my ear to whisper something.
“This kiss means nothing.” He then grabbed my chin and kissed me.
I never really kissed anyone but, he stole it. Yeah it meant nothing but it meant something… Special? To me.
He then pulled out and cheers scattered all around the room.
“I announce you two, husband and wife” The man said as Draco lightly scoffed but covered it with a cough.
A few hours passed, we even danced together but he kept stepping on my feet all the time. Of course he did it on purpose.
“You know, you look ugly in that dress. It would’ve been Astoria in it but, look at what a mistake you are.” He said, me trying so hard not to tear up.
“I know. I’ll get out of this dress don’t worry..” I said, sighing. I actually had a plan. Well. I’ll probably seduce him as what my mom said, she does want a child after me getting married to him.
“Yeah. And then next you’ll get out of my life.” He then walked away.
“Yeah you’ll see..” I muttered.
⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
We both arrived at the Manor, him leading me to his room.
“Now, don’t ever think of messing up my room. And yes. It’s still consider as MY room.” He said, giving me another infamous glare of his.
“Why would I even think of that?” I asked, removing my crown and placing it down my luggage.
“Because you’re pathetic and filthy.” He sarcastically smiled then went to his bathroom. This was my final chance.
I took off my dress and I was left in my lingerie. I hope this’ll work but, I know what I’m doing is wrong. We are enemies but, I’m only doing this to continue the bloodline.
Later then, he left the bathroom, staring at me as he went out.
“Do you think I’m a joke?” He said, still staring at my half-naked body.
“Draco.. It’s just.. I can’t resist you hating me….” I said, slowly walking closer to him.
He scoffed then smirked.
“Oh well you’re not gonna get all horny all over me, darling. And, I’m too disappointed on calling you such special names that I could’ve called another person. Merlin, your body is disgusting.” He spatted out.
I felt tears rolling down my face but I just wiped it away.
“But Drac-“ I was cut off by him walking past me, slamming the door shut as he leaves.
“Well.. That was mission unaccomplished.” I whispered to myself.
I took my nightgown and wore it. I then took my hairbrush and started brushing my hair.
While I was doing so, I was adding my facial cream. After all my daily routine, I hopped on his bed. I’m getting kinda used to sleeping next to him but, I wanted even more than that.
I just shook my thoughts off and then drifted off to sleep.
⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
*A FEW WEEKS LATER*
“Draco.. Why can’t you stay for a bit long? I’m your wife!” I yelled, him just grunting.
“CAN YOU STOP WITH ALL THIS NONSENSE, Y/N? FOR GOD’S SAKE, PLEASE. STOP.” He yelled back.
“Alr…Alright.” I said, muttering as he leaves.
I was getting used to all the yelling so, it’s not a problem for me anyway. I know he “loves” me. And I “love” him too. But this hatred has to end.
He always went out. Leaving me all alone in the manor. Well maybe not that alone. His parents would visit and there’s house elves here anyway. But the good thing I liked about being alone is that I could distract myself from him. I’d do some dances and even paint my nails.
But right now, I feel like taking a shower so, I went to grab my towel and entered inside the bathroom, locking it and removing my clothes.
I stepped on the bathtub then started filling it up with water.
Once the water was all up, bubbles were formed, I laid my head on the wall.
I kept thinking of what it was like if Draco actually loves me. I know I hate him but, since we’re engaged, he should stop with his child-like actions.
I scrubbed soap all over my body then a few minuets later, I stood up to get my bath robe and hair towel.
I brushed my teeth then gargled some mouthwash.
“All clean.” I smiled at the mirror then went outside the bathroom.
Draco isn’t here which I expected so, I didn’t really mind.
I wore my clothes then started to dry my hair.
After doing all so, I grabbed a book and sat on the bean bag chair.
I was relaxed. No problem at all. Until a few hours later, Draco came back.
He was frustrated when he did so, I stood up to let my book down and ask about it.
“Draco.. What’s with the.. Face?” I asked, trying hard not to make him even more provoked.
“And what’s with the question? Thought we hated each other.” He pushed pass me and started removing his suit and tie, throwing them to the ground before entering the bathroom.
I stood up and ran to get his clothes. He always was this messy. The good thing is that we had house elves. Without them, I bet every girl will dislike him. Well. Except for me. So he must be thankful.
I went out to go inform one of the house elves to wash his clothes then after that, I entered inside his room again.
“Messy boy.” I muttered under my breath.
“What’d you say?” A voice suddenly said.
“MERLIN!” I yelled.
“And look how much of a coward you are. That’s another reason why I hate you.” He spatted out.
“Yeah definitely..” I grabbed a towel and started rubbing it on his hair.
“And who gives you the rights to do that?” He harshly got the towel from my hand and did it instead.
“Geez.. I was just trying to help..” I said, trying to look down at him.
“You’re no help at all you fucking imbecile.” He said, no regret at all.
I just looked away. He really is this rude.
I just glared at him then grabbed my pillow and an extra blanket.
“Where do you think you’re going?” He asked with a raised brow.
“I’m going to sleep on the couch outside. I thought you’d never ask.” I responded, plainly.
“I never wanted to anyway.” He said, pushing me outside his room.
I just stood in front of his entrance to his room in silence. I.. Tried SO hard to make him love me for the past few weeks.. I wanted to give up but it was for the sake of his and mine’s parents.
I went down to his living room, placing my pillow and covered myself with the blanket.
I stared at the celling. I was thinking of how’d he’d love me even if we hated each other in the past but, it’s worthless to do so.

*NARRATIVE PERSPECTIVE*
This kept on going on and on. Fights… Filthy words and accusing. Y/N kept trying her best to just feel loved by Draco. But whenever she does, she’d always fail. Every week.. Every month.. She tries her hardest best. But now it has been a year. She decided to give up and even sneak out of the manor to seek out for those who would be glad to help her go through her situation at the manor. Well, perhaps she has been meeting a certain person.
⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
I grabbed my coat and handbag. I had to meet up with Y/F today and, it has always been a secret. I mean, I already gave up with Draco since he’s been too harsh over the past year so, I’m used to whatever he says. He’d either go “Stupid” or “Filthy” and that he preferred a girl named Astoria Greengrass.
I wasn’t jealous of her but, I bet she made him better whenever he’s around her.
I shook my thoughts off with wearing my sunglasses then leaving the manor without a sound.
I ran… Ran… And ran until I reached my friend’s place. Well, I probably took the carriage as well since his place was in the muggle world. I forgot to get my wand and, it’s really understandable, right?
“Y/N! You came!” He said, smiling.
“Why’d you think I won’t? We’ve been friends for almost a year now! I’d never leave you behind.” I smiled back, blushing.
“So how’s your… Life there back at the manor? Any.. Changes?” He asked, fiddling his fingers.
“The casual answer.” I said, with no life at all.
“Understandable.” He stood up and grabbed my hand.
“You’ll get through it. I promise.” He smiled which made my heart beat even more faster.

*DRACO’S PERSPECTIVE*
I woke up with the curtains closed. It normally would be open but, I didn’t care anyway.
I looked at the side of my bed and, Y/N wasn’t there. She hasn’t been present for the past few days whenever I wake up but, why would I care? I mean.. I’d care when she doesn’t come back for one day but, I still wouldn’t care less.
I stood up and rubbed my eyes. I looked over to her side table and noticed her wand.
“So she decided to leave it here huh.” I whispered, taking it.
I remember duelling with her on our 2nd year. God she’d always loose and, I’d always fling her wand every time. This thought made me chuckle until I had the greatest idea.
I checked the history of her wand and, it recently was the apparition charm.
“This is odd..” I whispered to myself until I saw the location of the setting.
“A muggle place? How dare she-…” I suddenly noticed something. Has she been meeting up with someone who I don’t know? Well, I’ll figure that out now. I fixed myself by wearing my black suit and fixing my hair. I was ready to cast that charm and catch that runaway girl.
I casted the spell then it lead me to the muggle place. The place was small but, the windows were exposed. I saw her talking to a… MAN?!
Their conversation was really muffled so I couldn’t really hear something but.. SERIOUSLY?! A FUCKING MAN? OH THAT IS IT.
My blood boiled, only by seeing her with him. I’m honestly so MAD right now.
I swayed my way to the entrance of the door and barged into the house.
“MERLIN WHAT WAS THAT!” The man yelled, Y/N immediately screaming.
“Fuck you.” I said, sternly giving him a look then turned to Y/N who was filled with shock.
“Care to explain?!” I yelled, her being scared until the man decided to block my view of her.
“A husband shouldn’t yell to his own wife. If you were a real husband you would know about that.” He said, giving me a sharp glare.
“As if you are her husband to say that to me.” I pushed him and grabbed Y/N’s wrists tightly.
“You are coming with me, young lady.” I said through gritted teeth and apparated us back to the manor.
She let go of my hands and started yelling at me.
“LET GO OF ME, YOU MONSTER!” She yelled.
“I’M SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT TO YOU. WHO WOULD SNEAK OUT AND SOMETIMES NEVER COME BACK FOR ONE DAY!?” I yelled back.
“YOU DO THAT TOO!” She yelled again.
“BUT I COME BACK. UNLIKE YOUR PATHETIC SELF, WOULDN’T.” I yelled back.
“WHY DON’T YOU FILE FOR A DIVORCE THEN?! I TRIED SO FUCKING HARD TO MAKE YOU LOVE ME BUT YOU JUST MADE IT ALL IN A PILE OF SHIT!” She slammed the door shut when she left. I was just left speechless. I’d normally try to act high but.. Today was different..
I felt.. Sad.. Emotional and.. Broken. I finally realized that she actually loved me. But I just didn’t notice it.
“That’s it. I must bring her back.. What have I done to such an.. Angel?” I whispered to myself before tears rolled down my face.
“FUCK YOU DRACO! FUCK YOU!” I yelled, screaming at the mirror as I saw my reflection.
I kept whimpering. She’s supposed to be the one crying but, it was the opposite. I made her love someone else because of my repulsive attitude. I felt being useless to her now.
“I swear. Tomorrow, you’ll be mine.”
⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
*THE NEXT DAY*
I decided to not go out today so I could explain things to Y/N better. I must win her love back or else she’ll end up having a child with that man I’m currently having my anger at. I mean, he’s a pathetic muggle-born anyway. I’m much better than him.
I went to check on Y/N who, unusually was here, reading a book.
I grabbed the book from her hand as she sighs and glares at me.
“What do you need?!” She says, annoyed.
“Just.. Let me explain. The reason why I was so pissed off because of our relationship and marriage. Please..” I begged but she just rolled her eyes.
“I gave up, Draco. I gave you so much time to change but, it was all worthless. You’re not the one who I love anymore, Draco. I love someone else.” As soon as she said that, o felt my heart scatter in pieces.
“I gave you time to tell me how much you tried so now let me explain why I hated you so much!” I grabbed her hands but she just takes them off harshly.
“I’m done with this, Draco.” She stood up from her chair and walked away. I stood there, idle. Just idle. I was even more speechless as I was before.
“I’ve messed up.. Now, it’s time to clean my mess up. I really did get a taste of my own medicine. God, I should’ve thought of this before.” I ran out and tried to find where Y/N is but, there wasn’t a single sight of her in the manor. This must’ve meant she’s outside again. With that muggle boy.
“Just so you wait, my love. You’ll be loved by your husband soon. I swear..” I teared up.
⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
*NARRATIVE PERSPECTIVE*
Draco now tried his best to confess his love to Y/N but, she’d always ignore him. She wanted to give him one last chance but, she had her mind on her muggle friend instead. She loved him dearly but, Draco was heartbroken instead of not caring at all. Draco was arrogant and selfish to her but, Draco didn’t realize how much love he had for her inside his heart. His heart was just locked, broken and cold. He may had an interest to Astoria but he lost it after knowing you had feelings for him all along.
⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
I tried everyday. I tried giving flowers to her but then the next day, I saw it in the bin. I tried giving her golds and jewels but, it ended up being sold in a jewelry shop. I don’t know if I should give up right now but, since she’s inside my room right now, I had the chance to express and tell the truth to her now.
I’m in front of my entrance to my room anyway. But I sighed before entering.
She just stared at me. She looked like as if she isn’t a witch but instead, a ghost with no emotion.
I just came closer to her, sitting down next to her.
“I don’t even wanna hear it.” She turned away, grabbing ever nail polish before I snatched it away, grabbing her hand.
“DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM?! LET ME GO!” She tried to let go off my hands but, she failed this time.
“Y/N! Goddamn you! You never gave me the chance to explain! I tried my fucking best to make you fall for me again just like how you did but, I failed! Yeah I know I was wrong but, I never realized how much I loved you! You were the only one who was there whenever I was a bad mood when I come back here to the manor but, I’d always ignore your comfort. You tried to make me turned on but, I’d always prefer Astoria against you. You tried to make me happy but.. I’d rather be mad at you than being the one you expected. I just regret everything I did, my love. Please! Just accept my apology. I know I don’t deserve it but, ever since we were young, ever since we met, I knew we’d end up together because, we’re a match! I’m so so fucking sorry, Y/N. It’s okay, we can talk about the divorce papers later but, I willingly want you to punish me for whatever I’ve done..” I said that all out, holding my tears as I can as my grip on my hand softens and so as her eyes.
“You.. Loved me?” She asked, tears rolling down her cheeks.
“I did. And I still do.. I just couldn’t show it..” I said, letting go of her hands, about to leave until she grabbed me and kissed me.
My eyes widened as I kissed her back. I grabbed her waist to make the kiss rougher until we broke out for air.
“No divorce.. I’m just glad you explained and express your actual feelings towards me. I accept your apology..” She smiled which I chuckled at.
“I’m s much glad than you are.. I thought I’d loose you and you’ll end up with that muggle boy.” I laughed.
“I had feelings for him but, I lost them after hearing what you just said.” She smirked.
“Oh please. I had feelings for Astoria but I lost them too after knowing that you loved me.” I smirked 10x more wider than hers.
“Now.. As for your punishment.. I want you to…”

My Own Mudblood 2
CW: stepbro! Draco, somnophilia, noncon/dubcon, innocence/corruption, Inappropriate use of Legilimency, implied smut
Tumblr media
Draco’s words played over and over in your mind as you sat in your new bed. Was he threatening you or was it a challenge? You knew dinner would likely be served soon, but seeing him again before you had gathered your thoughts made you more anxious than you cared to admit. Instead, you lay your head down on the lavish pillow and slowly drifted off.
As dinner approached, Narcissa ordered Draco to fetch you to eat, which he begrudgingly obeyed. Storming up the stairs and pushing the door open without even a knock, he opened his mouth to order you down to eat, but stopped dead in his tracks. There you lay, showering in light from the setting sun streaming through the bay window. Your hair sprawled around your head like a halo and skirt bunched up at the top of your thighs. He wanted to wake you up with a rude remark, or leave you there without dinner but he couldn’t move. For a long moment, knowing no one would see his guard down, he took in your beauty - though he wouldn’t dare admit it to himself. He couldn’t help but to stare, wondering what you were dreaming about. Then his eyes trailed down your chest, softly rising and falling, to your naked thighs, and he felt a familiar throbbing against his tight dress pants. Without thinking, he stepped in, closing the door behind him and softly palming himself through his pants. He battled himself internally, trying to justify him touching himself to a mudblood, but his thoughts quickly fogged with pleasure.
Before he was able to talk himself out of it, he inched closer to you, groaning softly as he continued to palm himself. His eyes squeezed closed and he tried to slow his shaky breath, as to not wake you. He stood up against the edge of your bed and kept palming himself, letting himself het carried away, against his better judgement, but as he let out another quiet groan, you were suddenly pulled out of sleep. You let out a squeal, which came out as more of a tired squeak when you saw the tall boy standing beside your bed. He threw his hand over your mouth to quieten you, and you started to panic.
“Shhh. Don’t..Don’t yell.” he paused, trying to gather himself and pull his shirt over the bulge that had grown in his pants. “It’s dinner,” he continued, still breathing heavily. “Eat or don’t. I don’t care but it’s ready.”
You looked up at him dazed, his last words earlier coming back to you quickly. Remembering the way he warned you about your clothing, you became very aware of your skirt ridden up and pulled it back down to cover some of your thighs.
“I’ll, I’ll eat,” you stammered, wondering how long he had stood there before you woke up, and what,,,what was the noise that woke you? You tried to brush it off, sliding down the oversized bed away from him, and to your feet. He towered over you, and you couldn’t help feeling dwarfed by him. You could tell he was thinking about something as he stared at you, possibly holding something back, but his cool demeanour and stern face never gave anything away.
As you entered the large dining room of the manor, it took you a moment to take it all in. The table was large enough for 20 people, though it would only be the four of you eating. It felt strange, and rather lonely, after eating at a small table in your apartment with just your mother for so long. The house elf, who still had no name, floated large silver plates of food to the table, lit candles floating above it. Though it was all very beautiful, you still felt resentment toward your new “family” for their wealth, and for the values that Draco had made you all too aware of.
Narcissa urged you to sit, and to your disappointment, Draco sat directly across from you. You tapped your foot under the table, avoiding eye contact with him. As the four of you started to eat, Narcissa began trying to get to know you better than your father had told her about, only frustrating you more. You still didn’t trust that she had fully divorced her ideas of blood purity after the war, and entertaining the conversation now living with her made you all the more nervous.
“What do you know about the wizarding world, dear? Didn’t you ever get a letter from hogwarts?” she pressed. You balled your fists under the table, digging your nails into your palms as you thought of a calm answer.
“Well,” you breathed another shaky breath “Father had told me when I was young that I was special, when…things would happen without my meaning to, but my mother never allowed me to go to Hogwarts for her own reasons. I guess she was worried about me. I never really learned how to use my magic.” you finally looked up at her to gauge her reaction. Her mouth was pressed together into an awkward smile and you could tell what she was thinking is not what she would say. You felt a pang in your chest, thinking of the years and memories at Hogwarts you missed out on, and what your life would look like if you had been allowed to go.
“Father gave me some books when he decided to bring me..here,” you continued, “But I haven’t had a chance to read much of them yet.”
“Well dear, you certainly have missed out on quite a lot,” She replied after what felt like an eternity of silence. “Draco,” she started, looking over at him but he cut her off instantly.
“No. No don’t even try an-” he started..
“Son I don’t want to hear it,” She looked back at you, ignoring his look of protest. “I’ll have Draco start to tutor you. Try and get you…up to speed,” she said, without leaving any option to protest. Your Father, choosing this moment to finally acknowledge you, perked up.
“That sounds perfect! Be polite and thank them,” he pushed.
You gritted your teeth. Though you definitely could use the help, being tutored by the one person who seemed to hate you most felt like a trap. “Thank you Narcissa,” you said, half meaning it. She nodded toward her son beside her, and you finally looked up and him. His grey eyes pierced through yours and you felt like he was seeing straight through you.
“Th..Thank you, I guess,” you mumbled shyly. Though he angered you to near violence, you couldn’t help but feel meek, looking at him. He begrudgingly nodded, rolling his eyes, before they landed back on yours, holding for a moment longer than you expected.
“We’ll start tomorrow,” his velvet voice breaking the moment’s silence surprised you. Your mind raced, thinking about being taught, one on one by Draco Malfoy, and what that might involve. You knew he was a death eater in the recent past - and a very prolific one at that, and though it made you nervous, you weren’t scared. You were almost excited. You imagined him using his wand to cast spells you were yet to learn - his large, ring clad hand wrapping around his wand…then your own hand, or your throat. You caught yourself daydreaming and internally scolded yourself. What were you doing?
That’s Draco fucking Malfoy you yelled at yourself mentally. And he’s your goddamn step-brother! You shifted in your seat, both in embarrassment and arousal. You stole a quick glance up at him, and to your shock, for the first time since you had met him, he wasn’t brooding. His mouth was curled up on one side into an amused grin. You dropped your gaze back down to your plate. Could he know? You wondered. That’s ridiculous. How could he know?, you reasoned with yourself. You tried to focus on something; anything but the images your mind had flashed before you but you kept finding yourself back in those thoughts.
You had never slept with anyone, and for lack of better words, you knew you were quite inexperienced in that regard. Innocent even - But the thought of his long fingers in your mouth, or in your increasingly heating core made you squirm in your seat. The conversation your father and Narcissa were having sounded like a muffled blur in the background of your thoughts. You wondered what he would look like under his tailored black shirt - If he would have scars from the war, or if somehow, he had healed them away. Your cheeks burned at the thought, fingers fidgeting with the hem of your pleated skirt. Finally, dinner came to an end and you were able to excuse yourself. You rushed upstairs, still feeling an ache between your legs. You decided to unpack your trunk to distract yourself from the perverted thoughts. You pulled your clothes out one by one, putting them on hangers when you heard a low, raspy chuckle at the door. You swung around to find Draco leaning on the door frame with a smug look on his face.
“What?!” you snapped at him and he shook his head, still laughing
“You mudbloods make things so bloody difficult,” he chuckled before waving his wand casting a silent spell, and each item of clothing flew into the closet on hangers. Your eyes narrowed at him.
“I didn’t need your help, asshole,” you scowled, embarrassed more than you were angry.
“Fucking brat you are,” he stepped closer to you without wiping the smug look off his face. “I know you want my help. You need my help. You made that more than obvious at dinner,” he snickered. Though you didn’t want to believe he somehow read your mind earlier, the blood drained from your face and you stepped back.
“Don’t worry, mudblood - I’ll teach you about that too in our little lessons.” He was now inches from you, leaning down to your height, demeaningly. He smelled of peppermint and some sort of whiskey, and it was almost impossible to remain angry when you could feel his breath on your neck and his heady scent filled you. You did everything you could to fight the unwanted thoughts of your new step-brother from your mind, and though you didn’t want him to leave, you shoved his hard chest away tried to order him out. You pushed and pushed on his hard chest, but he didn’t move an inch. Your cheeks heated up, not wanting to give in to the thoughts creeping back at the touch.
“Poor weak thing. Use your manners and I’ll leave,” he cooed, condescendingly.
You gritted your teeth, not wanting to obey, but knowing it was the only way.
“Fine,” you huffed. “Please Draco, will you get out of my room,” you flashed a sarcastically sweet smile.
“Good girl,” he rumbled and walked out, leaving his intoxicating scent lingering in the room behind him.

You belong with Me/ A Draco Malfoy x reader one-shot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
House: u choose
A/n: reference to Taylor Swifts, "You belong with me" song
You can send me requests that have to do with a song if you didn't know :)
=================
{3rd person pov}
You're on the phone with your girlfriend, she's upset
She's going off about something that you said
'Cause she doesn't get your humor like I do
Y/n was finishing up a drawing somewhere where she was away from people when she heard to people arguing.
"Draco! How could you say that to her!" Astoria hissed at her boyfriend Draco.
"Does it matter that much to you! Merlin" Draco groaned.
"Yes! I am your girlfriend last time I recalled!" She hissed again.
"Take a joke Astoria" Draco said walking away.
I'm in the room, it's a typical Tuesday night
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like
And she'll never know your story like I do
Draco and Y/n have been best friends since babies. They were raised together. But then Astoria came in the picture. Always complaining that her life is so hard, and that Draco's life is easy. She'll never know Draco's story like Y/n does. That's for sure.
Y/n was in her room listening to her type of music the complete opposite of whatever dear Astoria Greengrass had liked.
But she wears short skirts
I wear T-shirts
She's Cheer Captain, and I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time
Y/n was once again walking to class and there was Astoria, wearing her short short skirts. Y/n sighed looking down. All she was wearing was a baggy-ish t-shirt and some black leggings with her Y/h/c robes.
Y/n had always secretly wished that she was Astoria. She had always liked Draco until she came into the picture. She just wished that Draco would at least have taken some interest in her.
Astoria took Draco for granted that's a given. She treated him more like a house-elf instead of her boyfriend.
Y/n however always thought that if he was her boyfriend he wouldn't be treated like a house-elf. Never.
If you could see that I'm the one
Who understands you
Been here all along
So, why can't you see?
You belong with me
You belong with me
Astoria went back to her dorm and so did Y/n. She went to her bathroom and locked the door.
All she needed right now was a hot bath.
She sat there thinking. Why was he with her in the first place? She's a bloody git. Doesn't even understand him. Heck no one does, except me. Not even his own father for heavens sake.
Walk in the streets with you in your worn-out jeans
I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be
Laughing on a park bench thinking to myself
Hey, isn't this easy?
Y/n had decided to go up to the astronomy tower and maybe try and catch some peace there.
She saw Draco was already there sitting, admiring the moon and stars.
"Hey Draco." I said sitting down beside him.
"Oh hey Y/n, didnt think you'd be up here"
"I thought the same thing"
Soon they were telling jokes to each other and laughing at others antics in class.
And you've got a smile
That can light up this whole town
I haven't seen it in a while
Since she brought you down
You say you're fine, I know you better than that
Hey, what you doing with a girl like that?
It was one of the first times in ages that Y/n had seen Draco smile. His smile was adorable. Y/n found herself wishing to be the person to make him smile every day. That smile could light up Y/n's whole day.
Their laughter died down, and Y/n asked a question. "Sooo how are things with you and Astoria?"
"Oh- erm- fine" He coughed afterward.
Y/n always thought what he would be doing with a terrorizing git. Heck she thought Pansy Parkinson was better, and Pansy is a nightmare.
She wears high heels
I wear sneakers
She's Cheer Captain, and I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time
There she was again wearing her new heels. Y/n had felt like trash compared to her. Y/n just had on a pair of normal sneakers that costed no more than 30 dollars in the muggle world.
If you could see that I'm the one
Who understands you
Been here all along
So, why can't you see?
You belong with me
Standing by and waiting at your backdoor
All this time how could you not know, baby?
You belong with me
You belong with me
{Flashback}
It had been raining one night and Y/n had decided to go to Draco's.
When she got there she through little rocks and pebbles at his window.
Once he saw Y/n, he quickly came downstairs and let her in.
"What are you doing here Y/n!" Draco hissed, "c'mon let's get you dried up, dont want you to get sick now do we"
{End of flashback}
Oh, I remember you driving to my house
In the middle of the night
I'm the one who makes you laugh
When you know you're 'bout to cry
And I know your favorite songs
And you tell me 'bout your dreams
Think I know where you belong
Think I know it's with me
Can't you see that I'm the one
Who understands you?
Been here all along
So, why can't you see?
You belong with me
It had been official. Draco and Astoria had broken up only about a month ago. Y/n gave him his time. But she was secretly overjoyed. He had broken it off with her one night in common room saying that he was in love with someone else.
Standing by and waiting at your backdoor
All this time how could you not know, baby?
You belong with me
You belong with me
You belong with me
Have you ever thought just maybe
You belong with me?
You belong with me
Draco and Y/n were up at the astronomy tower once again.
"Y/n, you know why I broke it off with Astoria right?"
She hummed I response.
"Well- you see- that person I was, no am in love with is well- uhm- you Y/n." He stammered out.
"Really?" Y/n questioned.
"Really Y/n. You belong with me." Draco said.
"Forever and always?" Said Y/n.
"Forever and always."

“Remember y/n, no matter how lonely you feel, know that people will care for you even in the darkest of times”
I was born a half blood, someone who wasn’t exactly pure but neither a muggleborn. I attended Hogwarts like any other student, sorted into Gryffindor and made myself known to the golden trio. My father passed away last year and since then I still sometimes hear his voice in my head, “Sirius black”.
I heard the Slytherins speak ill of him usually believing he was still a criminal, ignoring them was the hard part since he was no longer with me.
Remus Lupin took me under his wing, he was my guardian for the time being. “Hurry up the both of you or we’ll be late” I saw a brown haired boy approach the girl with messy hair. “C’mon moine’ I’m already bloody tired” the red-haired boy complained. “Ron! how many times have I told you-“ I tuned out it, they started to fight which wasn’t my sort of interest. I jumped when I saw the boy’s features become more apparent “Mr potter!”.
I heard of the infamous harry potter through my father, James potter was my father’s friend. “Mr potter!” I ran up with a smile, harry looked rather confused. “Harry, oh merlin it’s good to see you” I hugged him while the boy stood still awkwardly “sorry harry, I came off too strong didn’t I ha-ha”.
“Who are you s-sorry” he stood silently “Harry you knew my father, Sirius black”. Harry was shocked “Holy cricket, Sirius had a daughter?!” Hermione questioned “Sirius had a wife?!” Ron spurted. “How come he never told us” harry looked rather confused “My mother was a muggle you see, he didn’t want to put her in danger unfortunately death eaters got to her before I turned 10”.
“He was usually protective of me although I do remember the times, he took me on bike rides” I smiled to myself. “Oh, then you’ve heard…” Hermione spoke softly “Yes but, my father was a good man and so that’s how I choose to remember him by”.
Harry looked down, I was always told by Remus that my best attribute was how kind I was, especially since I remind him of Sirius. “Harry, my father used to tell me, no matter how lonely you feel, know that people will care for you even in the darkest of times”. Harry’s eyes light up as he looks into mine “Mr potter, even if I can’t exactly bring my father back, he will always be in our hearts”.
I could tell the boy smiled; he didn’t see a girl but the incantation of his beloved god father. “Thanks y/n” harry smiled “Harry, your never alone, me and moine’ will always have your back” Ron patted Harry’s shoulder.
“So, it’s true then, that filthy blood traitor had a daughter” the trio turned to see a blonde boy smirk. His associates walked up with a smug look on their faces “You going to cry potter, you going to cry in your girlfriends filthy arms” Draco mocked. “Bugger off Malfoy!” Ron growled “No one asked you Weasley”. Hermione held Harry’s hand “Draco your come backs are getting rather old” she rolled her eyes “Shut up you filthy mud blood, you and Weasley are both a disgrace to this school”.
Draco’s eyes turned to me “and you, your father was nothing more than a foul scoundrel that betrayed his bloodline, father told me all about it”. Harry’s expressions had changed to anger “well Mr Malfoy if I must add, there is one thing my father had that you could never even have” my smile was turning into that of a cheeky grin. “Love, friendship and a family” I could see Draco’s cheeks become redder as he went into a fit of rage “I will show you! At least I have a family unlike you and potter”.
I pointed my wand at Draco before muttering “bufonem emittunt” a green light shot out. I could see his hand start to bubble and become greener “CROAK” I heard a noise emanate from his hand. His fingers started to transform into legs, his whole hand was transforming into a toad. “AHHH! Don’t just stand there do something!” Draco was freaking out “Toad! My hands a toad!” the trio were laughing while Harry smiled at my bravery.
“Now Mr Malfoy speak poorly of my father again and I’ll transform your head into dragon dung” I turned as Malfoy ran off to find a professor “Don’t worry the hex will only last for an hour”. However, the moment soon ended when I heard Professor Snape appear behind me, let me tell you that man was rather scary. “Miss y/n for your terrible prank 20 points from Gryffindor and a week of detention” the man was not amused and turned away with no hesitation. “My father also warned me about him but for you Mr potter I will protect you from that hideous weasel. Harry blushed, he could see Sirius standing in front of him, someone brave and yet reckless willing to save anyone from danger.
-----
Meanwhile Malfoy was in the nursery trying to get his hand fixed “Don’t worry Draco It’s not that bad, your still good looking” Pansy fawned. “Wait until my father hears of this, he’ll be furious” Draco sneered at the toad, “CROAK” the toad responded, “You be quiet!” he shouted in response to his hand. “Draco, me and Goyal ave’ ta go” Crab spoke in a deep voice “Fine, I’m still angry at the both of you for not defending me”. Pansy held Draco to the point he was nearly suffocating “Yeah how could you leave my Drakey poo alone and look he’s hurt”.
“Pansy get off me!” he tried to push her off “Don’t worry Draco I’ll get my revenge on her you’ll see”. Draco pondered for a moment; the girls eyes were rather fascinating for one he didn’t feel intimated neither disgusted. Draco remembered what her face looked like, curly hair and her face that could resemble Sirius, but what caught him off guard the most was her eyes. “Draco that girl is nothing but trouble, I’ll hex her harder” suddenly Draco looked up at pansy “Draco, Draco! Are you even listening, you were zoning out”. Draco huffed “Of course everything is alright pansy, that girl is, is, is” he couldn’t put words into his own mouth.
Her eyes,
Her beauty,
Her wits,
“Is beautiful” Draco softly muttered “Beautiful?!?” pansy scoffed “I mean hideous, get your mind out of the gutter as if I would ever go out with a blood traitors daughter. Pansy raised an eyebrow “alright Draco” she was starting to get suspicious.
-----
In the great hall, Harry sat next to me “so y/n, you going to try out for the quidditch team”. I shook my head “nah, I enjoy flying my broom around the castle not the field”. Hermione was busy studying was Ron was eating something “I think your bloody brilliant y/n” Hermione spoke up “yes well, clearly Miss y/n has been studying unlike you”. Harry was quite taken by y/n, everything about her reminded him of Sirius, everything he missed. “Hey y/n, there’s a tea house not far from here and I was wondering if you wanted to go with me” Harry asked.
“Sure, as long as I don’t have to wear a frilly dress” I smiled, remembering the yule ball was rather funny. Ron wore that hideous coat and harry was awful at dancing. Harry felt rather awkward “In truth I never thought Sirius would come back, however now I see you’re here with me, your brave y/n really brave” he leaned in. I looked rather confused as my cheeks burned bright red “H-harry wait”.
I turned away, “Mr potter forgive me, but I don’t believe now’s a good time” harry nodded “Sorry, your right”. I didn’t want him to think that I wasn’t interested it just felt as though he only saw me this way because of Sirius.
Behind the walls of the great hall two grey eyes stared at the two, “I’ll get you for this potter, y/n’s mine and she won’t save you and your filthy friends”.
Anyways that's all I have for now:

Sacred Space
pairing: mattheo riddle x reader
content: pure fluff, based on this ask
a/n: hope you like this lovey<33
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"for the love of merlin, how does anyone not know where she's gone off to?" mattheo was frustrated at this point he wanted to rip his hair off,he wanted to see you,hug you, hold you and never let you go specially not after today.
you on the other hand were nothing more than just a big cacoon forming a little ball just under your bed, your safe place hiding yourself with the sheets.
if someone wanted to take an example of what a bad day looks like then they very well could use the eventful day of y/n l/n.
she did what she always did after such days which was hiding in her sacred space and cutting everyone off but of course since you had just recently become mattheo's girlfriend he didn't know your routine.
you didn't know how to tell him, you were still shocked he was your boyfriend, that you could be that vocal about your feelings to someone.
it was a strange feeling, but the best one you had ever felt.
someone barged in your dorm and you knew from the harsh footsteps that it was your beloved.
"y/n if you're here please come out darling,just-" his voice broke and so did your heart out of guilt for not telling him anything.
"please" he begged once again and you decided to finally come out.
"mattheo" you said in a gasp just before sniffing, you didn't know it was possible that a person could walk so fast but he proved you wrong hugging you as if you were about to slip away and he was the holding on the last remnants he had of you.
"where were you?" he asked in a soft voice as to not startle you.
"I had a bad day" you replied just as softly.
"do you want to talk about it?" and you shaked your head no, hugging him tighter than before.
and there you were in your newly found sacred space and luckily it was the arms of your beloved.
