Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs (Italian: Le spie vengono dal semifreddo, lit. "The spies who came in from the cool") is a 1966 Eurospy comedy film, made in Technicolor and directed by Mario Bava. Serving as a sequel to two unrelated films, Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine and Two Mafiosi Against Goldginger, the film stars Vincent Price, Fabian, Francesco Mulé, Laura Antonelli, and the Italian comic duo Franco and Ciccio.
Has anyone seen this? Is it so bad it's good, or just bad? It looks like Bikini Machine has achieved semi-cult status, so maybe I'll start with that.

A Bava film starring Vincent Price should have been a defining moment in 60s horror cinema but#Instead this proves to be a real low point in both men's careers. With the first Goldfoot film having been an unlikely hit in Italy#AIP shipped the sequel out there and to director Bava (under contract with them and none too keen to make the film). Price returned and#Fabian took the male lead role with popular Italian comedians Franco and Ciccio in support. The idea was to shoot enough material to end up#With 2 versions of the film; a Price heavy one for the US and one more focused on Franco and Ciccio for the Italians. So with mixed motives#A disinterested director and a lousy script perhaps this was always destined to be a dud. Still it's a shame; all the campy joy of the#First film is gone and replaced by a tired dead eyed pretence at farce. The Italians mug away but their style clashes badly with Price's#More sedate wry humour. A film which isn't sure exactly what it wants to be and thus becomes nothing much of anything. Besides racist.#Yeah there's also a pretty big dose of racism this time around as Goldfoot's henchpeople are Chinese and thus a source of offensive jokes#Also they weren't even credited which is just weird. They're significant characters with quite a lot of screen time. Odd.#Date night movie
