I've never read Brother's War or anything else with Urza in it but I'm going to be honest I'm finding it harder to believe that he's actually as bad as people make him out to be. I keep seeing people in the MtG fandom taking three dimensional characters with deep flaws that have to actually be grappled with within the story and deciding they're stupid and suck instead actually interacting with the text. It also doesn't help that when said character is unpopular, the writers give up and turn them into a caricature of themselves so even the newer cannon stories are probably not accurate representation of the original character. I'm sorry but until I actually get my hands on a copy of the Brother's War I will assume that Urza isn't the evil mecha-hitler the fandom make him out to be
