❣️ I'm gonna have to list Cherry Magic and Cooking Crush again just because they filled me with so much serotonin lol. Truly beautiful productions, so carefully written, so well executed and with so much wholesomeness and so many green flags lol. I had the best time watching them and the fact that 2 OG pairs had comeback shows back to back gave me so much nostalgia lol, especially since the genre is reminiscent of their old shows. It's been a blissful and therapeutic few months and I'm extremely sad that it's over 😩🥺🫶🏻 A+ content from everyone involved. 12/10 for both.

👎🏻 It has been a year lmao a lot of things happened this month, the Pawin situation makes me sad, we don't know what actually happened but the whole thing is messed up either way. James dropping out of LUAT came as a surprise as well, I'm not a NetJames fan but if they really had a falling out like the rumors say then that's sad. Singto coming back to gmm has been a nice surprise amongst the scandals lol but other than that I hope things go uphill after this 🥺

❗️ Actor Singto Prachaya has returned to GMMTV as an artist. He previously left the company in 2021 to work as a freelance actor & producer after being under contract for nearly 5 years. It is unknown whether he will be part of any projects of the 2024 lineup.

❗️ The Thai BL Playboyy is getting a second season.

❗️ The upcoming Korean series High School Return of a Gangster announced the removal of the original BL plot. The show will air as a censored version, focusing on the friendship between the male leads.

❗️ Actors Charles Tu (HIStory 4) and Michael Chang (My Tooth Your Love) were confirmed to star in the upcoming BL First Note of Love. The series tells the story of a musician who is struggling with stage fright and one of his fans. An air date has not been announced.

❗️ Actor Non Ratchanon will no longer partake in the upcoming BL Live in Love. In an official statement, the production company stated that the decision was made due to disagreements between his agency and the one representing his co-star Hearth Chindanai. A recast for his role has yet to be announced.

❗️ GMMTV actor Win Pawin was accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, who made public allegations with photo evidence of her wounds. As a result GMMTV released a statement announcing the suspension of Pawin from all further work activities until legal investigations are complete. This lead to him making a public statement saying he is withdrawing from the upcoming BL We Are. He was cast as one of the 8 protagonists and was paired with his former partner Marc Pahun. GMMTV released a followup statement today, announcing Pawin's character would be recast to newbie Poon Mitpakdee.

❗️ Actor James Supamongkon announced his withdrawal from the upcoming Domundi BL Love Upon a Time. He released a statement on Twitter, saying he wants to expand his career and focus on other projects as an artist apart from acting. The company stated that Net and the others will stay part of the cast and that a new partner for Net will be cast shortly. This caused a big uproar amongst the fans who have been waiting for the series since it was announced over a year ago. Whether James' dropping out has anything to do with a dispute between him and Net is not confirmed.

this is a response to @anarcho-yorpism's tag for me in this post. i'm not directly rbing bc that post is long and it has a lot going on in the notes.

anyway please note all of my responses here are my own, and not representative of Staff or tumblr. i am not T&S and have zero power to make any moderation decisions here.

with that disclaimer:

Predstrogen received a message from Tumblr saying she was banned for "sexual content". If she was not, why was she told this, why were her transition photos removed, and why has she still not been told the actual reason? (I understand not making it public, but it is your policy to tell the user) If she was, what was this sexual content, if not her transition timeline?

i can't really directly answer this for few reasons. firstly, i feel that staff shouldn't talk about her anymore bc i feel this continued controversy will only attract more harassment for her on other platforms.

secondly, as a low-level staffer talking about moderation decisions can get me, y'know, fired. i'd prefer not to do that.

also just like... i want to avoid getting into a narrative of "well she did bad things so she deserves it" or whatever. idc if she broke the rules or not, she didn't deserve what happened.

i know this isn't terribly satisfying to hear, but i'd like to be honest about why i'm not saying more at least.

If you can't answerblegal questions, ignore this question: The NYCLU settlement agreed that Tumblr would fix its moderation so it targeted transfem users less. Why has there been no comment on the settlement and actions taken since? There could genuinely be a large legal case against Tumblr after this, and I love this site and don't want that to happen. Also, wasn't it illegal under GDPR to release her usernames?

i'm not able to answer legal questions. i don't know the exact text of the agreement, but it mostly boiled down to some training and stuff from my personal experience there.

however not as a staffer but as NYC trans human: i would not put a ton of faith in the NYCCHR. they have some noble goals but they are a chronically underfunded city agency that in practice does very little to curb real-world violence against marginalized people. i tried to use them myself when my landlord was kicking me out right after i had surgery and they didn't even get back to me until months after everything resolved. nobody i know in the community out here has been helped by them off the top of my head.

i have sincere doubts in relying on the state to help people here.

A lot of transfem users don't like vague language like "prioritize", especially given point 2 and Matt's statement that improving moderation was not on the agenda. I understand you can't reveal company secrets in an already risky post, but we would like to see the specific actions taken after this, given a lot of broken trust by what @\photomatt has said. Are any of the trans women banned recently for "sexual content" going to have their accounts restored?

i don't know. i'm pushing internally for at least a review of everyone suspended to see if the less egregious stuff can be reversed. but like i said, i don't have a ton of power as i'm not in charge of anything.

and yeah, "prioritize" is vague corpo-speak. i know some stuff is shifting internally and what we said does match what is happening inside. but also... i've been disappointed before.

i can say i'm tentatively optimistic. people are responding seriously, and being asked our opinions for once is pretty nice. but also, systemic stuff is hard. i trust in my fellow workers and i'll continue to fight until i can't anymore.

so... yeah. i genuinely wish i can be more informative here, but what we wrote (and i want to emphasize we here, it was not just me by any stretch!!) is what we can say in an official capacity.

i'm just frustrated, tired, angry, depressed... and also weirdly hopeful?

It’s been 3 days since you last saw Sam, not because he was on a mission or fighting a giant purple-thumb looking alien but because you couldn’t bring yourself to let him see you the way you are right now.

Things had been tough since you graduated college, you had your degree, you’d done everything your parents had asked of you, but you’d never really done anything that you wanted. Your parents didn’t seem to care what you did now, you’d gotten your degree, you’d moved to the city, you’d got away. They’d “done their job” they told you, but what were you meant to do now.

That’s what has been on your mind the last few months and all the stress has finally caught up with you. You weren’t leaving the house, you were hardly eating, you hadn’t seen your friends in weeks. Then there was Sam, you’d been pretending to be okay around him, and it was killing you. You couldn’t do it anymore so you’d been avoiding him, first not going to his apartment, then cancelling plans, and now avoiding his text messages. It only made you feel worse but you couldn’t let him see you this way. He’d probably break up with me.

You had bags under your eyes from the 2 hours of sleep you were getting each night, your eyes were red and irritated by the countless tears that had fallen from them. You hadn’t showered since you last saw Sam and that was only because he surprised you with a picnic in the park.

You’d tried to enjoy that day but all you wanted was to lay in bed and cry, to forget about everything else. But more than anything you wanted Sam, wanted him to hold you, to tell you everything would work out, but that couldn’t happen. You couldn’t have him realise what a mess you were, you couldn’t risk him leaving you.

So that’s how you ended up here, curled up into a ball in the dark on your sofa, crying quietly into your blanket and ignoring the feeling of a slight buzz from your phone beside you. You didn’t know who it was and quite frankly at this point you didn’t care. It had been like this since you woke up, you have no idea how long it’s been, and you had no intention of finding out. That would make you feel worse, knowing you’d wasted another day. You had no intention of moving at all, and that didn’t change when you heard a knock at your door. Just leave it, they’ll go away soon. But they didn’t, they kept knocking and knocking, until Sam’s voice came through the hard wood. His warm and gentle voice being the only thing breaking your almost comatose state.

“Y/N? I know you’re in there, please I just need to see that you are okay. Please?” You felt your heart break as his voice cracked with his last word.

You freeze at first, not knowing what to do. If you didn’t answer you were 90% sure he would kick your door down. So you did the only thing you could do and walked slowly towards the door, cracking it open slightly, not even removing the chain.

His head fly’s up from the spot he was staring at on the ground when he hears your door creak open.

“Hi Sam.”

“Y/N,” He goes to push the door open only to be met with the resistance of the chain. “Can you open the door properly? Please?”

You don’t really want to let him into your depressive bubble but at the same time you wanted him, his warmth against your skin, the smell of his cologne that always made you feel safe. So you nod slightly and remove the chain.

He immediately steps in and pulls you towards him. Your head finds its usual spot against his chest and his warmth seeps into you which instantly makes you feel a little bit lighter.

“Thank god.” Sam sighs in relief as he wraps his arms around you, bringing his left hand up to the back of your head to cup it slightly. “I thought something had happened to you when you didn’t answer your phone all day, I was so worried about you baby.”

All day? You had no clue that much time had passed, and now you were angry at yourself for worrying Sam, he doesn’t deserve all this. He deserves someone better.

You start to feel your eyes burning as more tears threaten their escape. “I’m sorry Sammy.”

“Hey, none of that, okay? You wanna tell me what’s going on?”

Sam had kind of guessed what was happening, sure he mostly had experience working with Vets with PTSD, but he definitely knew the tell tale signs of depression. So when you started to pull away, and started acting not quite like yourself he had made sure to clear his schedule as much as he could to be there for you.

“I.. I don’t really know.”

“That’s okay baby. Can I stay with you for a bit?”

You shake your head against his chest and start to pull away from him as it hits you how you look, how your apartment looks. Panic starts to overtake every other emotion already running though you. “Oh my god. The mess and I haven’t even- I look so gross and I didn’t-“

Sam cuts you off before you can spiral more. “Hey, take a breath. It’s okay.”

“It’s not okay, nothing is okay anymore.” He guides you to the sofa gently and sits beside you, slightly turning himself in your direction.

“Try and breathe for me, okay? In and out. Copy me.” You try to listen and copy his breathing. “That’s it, good girl. You're doing such a good job baby.”

“I don’t know what to do anymore.”

“What do you mean?” He replies, with a hint of confusion.

You shake your head before continuing. “No, I don’t want to burden you Sam. You can leave if you want to, I’d understand.” You were so sure he’d leave, there was no way he could want to stay with you now. Right? Deep down you knew your brain was lying to you but you didn’t have it in you to fight what it was so easily telling you.

“Baby,” He looks at you with pure concern and love in his eyes. “I’m not going anywhere, you can tell me what’s wrong, you can tell me anything.”

You look down and start to play with your sleeves before you answer him. “It’s not what you’re made for, you don’t deserve to have to pick up all the pieces everytime I fall apart. You deserve someone who’s happy, and I…” You pause to try and figure out how to say what you are feeling. “I think I forgot how to be happy.” It comes out as an almost whisper, in fear of it chasing him away.

Sam’s heart breaks hearing how you are feeling, he’s never felt this much love for someone or something before and wants nothing more than for you to be okay. He needs you to know how much you mean to him.

“Y/N, look at me?” You shakily bring your eyes back up to him. “That’s exactly what I was made for, you’re everything to me and I want to help you in any way that I can. Who was there when I beat myself up for Karli’s death? You. Who picked me back up again when I worked myself too hard? You did. So please, let me help you. Let me in. I will be here to pick up every little piece of you for as long as you will have me.”

The tears had managed to find an escape route now, and were freely rolling down your cheeks. You knew Sam loved you, he’d told you every chance he got and you hated that your brain could convince you otherwise.

“I love you Sam.” He brings his lips to your forehead and places a gentle kiss.

“And I love you too, so much, and whenever you’re ready to talk, I’m here to listen, okay?”

“Okay..” You weren’t ready to talk yet, you just wanted him. “Could you just hold me for now?”

“Of course, anything you want.”

He lays back on the sofa and brings you into his lap. Your head finds its place in his chest again, seeking his warmth. Things were silent for a few moments, each of you soaking up the feeling of being close with one another, until your stomach rumbling broke the silence.

“Baby?” he asks gently but concerned.

“Hmm?” You know where this is going but you try to play innocent.

“Have you eaten anything today?” You shake your head in embarrassment that you hadn’t managed to do that.

“Want me to order something in?” You nod against him. “The usual?”

“‘Mhmm. Can you get some of the-“

“Chocolate dumplings.” You say together which makes you both laugh, your first real laugh in a while and it feels nice.

“How could I not?” Sam says as he playfully rolls his eyes. “But until there’s a knock at the door I’m not letting go of you.” He squeezes you extra tight to show you he’s not kidding.

WHAT WILL THIS TRANSIT BRING IN YOUR LIFE?

PILE 1

For some of you, I see that there might be some hard times in your family life. For some of you you might have to leave your home and go somewhere else and start a new journey. It's like a disaster for you. You are leaving your shelter and comfort zone or that shelter is now leaving you.

Something that was your foundation will get destroyed. In a way you wanted to leave your comfort zone, but it might happen in an extreme way.

Doesn't have to be family only, it could be you have been in a place that you are very attached with and now you gotta leave.

There are sudden changes that might make you feel lonely and shaken up. You weren't expecting these times.

For some of you, your family might have been forcing you into a direction where you didn't wanna go. So you are standing up for yourself even if it's scary.

There are periods where you will go through emotional outburst and other times through anger. You might have been suppressing all these emotions a lot.

This will make you start someone you had wanted because your comfort zone was stopping you. It's like someone snatched away the thing you had been holding onto or that thing that has been holding on to you.

You will start something that aligns with you now that it has been removed. It will take risk, courage and ambition to start over, which you have the potential, you know it. When? Depends when you wanna start.

This doesn't have to do with money per say, but your creative talents. It will bring you a lot of success. Just take action and don't be boggled down by what might happen. Use your potential and talents, it will bring you growth and purpose in life.

I see being pretty hesitant to new relationships after this, or you might have problems in relationships a lot. More related with your emotions..

You'll be moving on with life with your head, not the heart. Also if you would be doing something in the creative field, don't do something in the limelight. Not as much. Do something that goes behind the scenes only

PILE 2

For a lot of you, I think a lot of you are cutting off some friends in your social circle.

You are entering a phase where you would be wanting or even spending more time by yourself, alone.

Many of you might be taking a break from social media because it has been giving you a lot of stress. Many of you might be deleting social media accounts too.

For most of you, I see a lot of pain and heartbreak and disappointment coming from your social circle.

Maybe you felt the need to fit in, or be liked by your followers or in your social circle.

You had been overextending yourself and struggling to say no to people. Maybe it's your friends, or an online community.

Maybe you have an online platform that has been asking more and more from you and you gotta maintain boundaries with them.

Maybe you earn through social media Or social media plays a big part in your business or your source of income.

Even if it's not, it has been stressing you out a lot. It's a fast life and you might find yourself comparing your life to other people with perfect lives.

You might have assumed responsibility for things that weren't serving you well. There might be a people pleasing tendency in some of you that you over did stuff for people but you felt the energy wasn't reciprocated or appreciated.

So this is what this new moon is bringing. You might walk away from superficial things and will focus on your inner world. You don't need to try hard to be liked. The right will come by someday.

PILE 3

Some event or someone might have really gotten your confidence and enthusiasm high lately.

For some of you, you might have found something that really gives you confidence and a boost, and people around are willing to support it or might even help you outbthis path or route.

You might be disappointed and sad with the lack of support you are getting, maybe in the past.

Share these things with others honestly. You will receive help you didn't get before.

It could be that you might have been really supportive and generous to people, and you are now getting that energy back.

You may feel like you are all alone in your journey, but not now. There is a transition happening, and things look better in the future.

You might be traveling soon. For a lot of you, this is related to an educational pursuit. You need to have a plan that requires sacrifice and time.

Also it will take time to manifest, not in like 2-3 months but more, likely by the end of this year or next year.

Throughout this time, gather all the resources and use your skills to guarantee that your goals really happen. You have the potential. Once the plan is set, stick to it. Don't just be monkey minded and keep jumping from one idea to another.

Be reasonable with your goals. Many of you need to hear this. A lot of you have big dreams but not the prerequisites to achieve them, at least not yet.

Also communicate clearly with others, allow your emotions to be felt and empathize with others too if you want to reach a conclusion.

As I said, you goals will take time, so you might get bored here and there, but consistent.

Some of you might work in a group project, so that's why I said before, communicate clearly, and have clarity about the goal.

Most of the cards are related to planning and achieving the goal in this pile. Apply the message to your career.

PILE 4

I see a beautiful future ahead for this pile.

This pile is more likely to be for people ending their 20s and later. I see many of you have been family planning and the best part is I see your wishes coming true.

If it's about money, then yes, you are financially reaching a position where you business might rich it's success, or the start of reaching stability in cash inflows.

I see you guys will be creating and making a lasting foundation. It could be having kids or making a long term commitment with your partner.

Or that you will reach a really high good and respectable position in your career. I see you a leader now looking at the empire you built after years of hard work and struggle.

Some of you might wanna decide to take part in things or do things the more conventional way.

You might be getting in touch with the traditions of your culture or family and deciding to continue it for the next gen.

You will be making a really strong impact. You are taking more responsibility right now and acting more consciously. You're really geeting centered and focusing on a goal.

Some of you will be starting your own business that would be very successful.

The best past about this reading is that you are moving on from whatever happened in the past, and really there's a successful future ahead in terms of professional and personal life both.

For a lot of you, you might have felt restricted or trapped. There are limiting beliefs that make you pessimistic, and family could be a reason too, for you feeling restricted.

And i see you moving away. It's all in the past and you don't have to be a victim anymore. The biggest challenge is your mindset. Negative beliefs will convince you that there is no way out even if you are literally out of that situation or environment.

Fear of the unknown, fear of change, fear of taking a risk, fear of the consequences, fear of taking responsibility for your situation, fear of not being able to, fear of not having the skills, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of not being liked, fear of being judged or criticized, fear of being blamed. The list could go on and on and on but what keeps you imprisoned is fear and the small chaotic world that is your mind.

You may not be able to understand or follow what is going on around you. Your self-imposed beliefs might see everything as a calamity and major drama, while others would call it a ‘mere troublesome situation’.

Look at your situation in an objective manner and try to see the bigger picture.

Action is required of you now and not passivity, submission, and resignation. Stop being a slave to your problems.

Are Game Blogs Uniquely Lost?

All this started with my looking for the old devlog of Storyteller. I know at some point it was linked from the blogroll on the Braid devlog. Then I tried to look at on old devlog of another game that is still available. The domain for Storyteller is still active. The devblog is gone.

I tried an old bookmark from an old PC (5 PCs ago, I think). It was a web site linked to pixel art and programming tutorials. Instead of linking to the pages directly, some links link led to a twitter threads by authors that collected their work posted on different sites. Some twitter threads are gone because the users were were suspended, or had deleted their accounts voluntarily. Others had deleted old tweets. There was no archive. I have often seen links accompanied by "Here's a thread where $AUTHOR lists all his writing on $TOPIC". I wonder if the sites are still there, and only the tweets are gone.

A lot of "games studies" around 2010 happened on blogs, not in journals. Games studies was online-first, HTML-first, with trackbacks, tags, RSS and comment sections. The work that was published in PDF form in journals and conference proceedings is still there. The blogs are gone. The comment sections are gone. Kill screen daily is gone.

I followed a link from critical-distance.com to a blog post. That blog is gone. The domain is for sale. In the Wayback Machine, I found the link. It pointed to the comment section of another blog. The other blog has removed its comment sections and excluded itself from the Wayback Machine.

I wonder if games stuff is uniquely lost. Many links to game reviews at big sites lead to "page not found", but when I search the game's name, I can find the review from back in 2004. The content is still there, the content management systems have been changed multiple times.

At least my favourite tumblr about game design has been saved in the Wayback Machine: Game Design Tips.

To make my point I could list more sites, more links, 404 but archived, or completely lost, but when I look at small sites, personal sites, blogs, or even forums, I wonder if this is just confirmation bias. There must be all this other content, all these other blogs and personal sites. I don't know about tutorials for knitting, travel blogs, stamp collecting, or recipe blogs. I usually save a print version of recipes to my Download folder.

Another big community is fan fiction. They are like modding, but for books, I think. I don't know if a lot of fan fiction is lost to bit rot and link rot either. What is on AO3 will probably endure, but a lot might have gone missing when communities fandom moved from livejournal to tumblr to twitter, or when blogs moved from Wordpress to Medium to Substack.

I have identified some risk factors:

Personal home pages made from static HTML can stay up for while if the owner meticulously catalogues and links to all their writing on other sites, and if the site covers a variety of interests and topics.

Personal blogs or content management systems are likely to lose content in a software upgrade or migration to a different host.

Writing is more likely to me lost when it's for-pay writing for a smaller for-profit outlet.

A cause for sudden "mass extinction" of content is the move between social networks, or the death of a whole platform. Links to MySpace, Google+, Diaspora, and LiveJournal give me mostly or entirely 404 pages.

In the gaming space, career changes or business closures often mean old content gets deleted. If an indie game is wildly successful, the intellectual property might ge acquired. If it flops, the domain will lapse. When development is finished, maybe the devlog is deleted. When somebody reviews games at first on Steam, then on a blog, and then for a big gaming mag, the Steam reviews might stay up, but the personal site is much more likely to get cleaned up. The same goes for blogging in general, and academia. The most stable kind of content is after hours hobbyist writing by somebody who has a stable and high-paying job outside of media, academia, or journalism.

The biggest risk factor for targeted deletion is controversy. Controversial, highly-discussed and disseminated posts are more likely to be deleted than purely informative ones, and their deletion is more likely to be noticed. If somebody starts a discussion, and then later there are hundreds of links all pointing back to the start, the deletion will hurt more and be more noticeable. The most at-risk posts are those that are supposed to be controversial within a small group, but go viral outside it, or the posts that are controversial within a small group, but then the author says something about politics that draws the attention of the Internet at large to their other writings.

The second biggest risk factor for deletion is probably usefulness combined with hosting costs. This could also be the streetlight effect at work, like in the paragraph above, but the more traffic something gets, the higher the hosting costs. Certain types of content are either hard to monetise, and cost a lot of money, or they can be monetised, so the free version is deliberately deleted.

The more tech-savvy users are, the more likely they are to link between different sites, abandon a blogging platform or social network for the next thing, try to consolidate their writings by deleting their old stuff and setting up their own site, only to let the domain lapse. The more tech-savvy users are, the more likely they are to mess with the HTML of their templates or try out different blogging software.

If content is spread between multiple sites, or if links link to social network posts that link to blog post with a comment that links to a reddit comment that links to a geocities page, any link could break. If content is consolidated in a forum, maybe Archive team could save all of it with some advance notice.

All this could mean that indie games/game design theory/pixel art resources are uniquely lost, and games studies/theory of games criticism/literary criticism applied to games are especially affected by link rot. The semi-professional, semi-hobbyist indie dev, the writer straddling the line between academic and reviewer, they seem the most affected. Artists who start out just doodling and posting their work, who then get hired to work on a game, their posts are deleted. GameFAQs stay online, Steam reviews stay online, but dev logs, forums and blog comment sections are lost.

Or maybe it's only confirmation bias. If I was into restoring old cars, or knitting, or collecting stamps, or any other thing I'd think that particular community is uniquely affected by link rot, and I'd have the bookmarks to prove it.

Figuring this out is important if we want to make predictions about the future of the small web, and about the viability of different efforts to get more people to contribute. We can't figure it out now, because we can't measure the ground truth of web sites that are already gone. Right now, the small web is mostly about the small web, not about stamp collecting or knitting. If we really manage to revitalise the small web, will it be like the small web of today except bigger, the web-1.0 of old, or will certain topics and communities be lost again?

A Hunter Perspective - another unintentional essay

I guess ima put this out there, just for myself.

I'm fully on Hunter's side.

Don't get me wrong, I am madly in love with Crosshair, madly, passionately. I'll pick smut with him over Hunter any day. I see his faults and love him for them even as they drive him further into misery and darkness.

I also will fight fiercely that Hunter has done/is doing all he can to protect his family. And truthfully, I don't think he's made any mistakes.

"But he left crosshair behind in episode 1!" Crosshair was trying to kill him and his squad, and he had no idea why. He thought his brother had betrayed him. I also would have gotten the hell out of there, in massive pain at the betrayal, wondering what the hell was happening. I have also been someone with access to money and supplies - who has then suddenly not had any money or supplies and had to take care of my household (and thats just with my cat. Three brothers and a kid? Nuh uh). Then I find out he's being mind controlled - how the fuck am i supposed to fix that? And again, with no resources or money? Now guilt is eating me alive, but I can't do anything about it, I have no idea what to do. THEN I find out there is a way - and Wrecker might be going the way of Crosshair? Fuckin yes I'm going to go get that shit out of all of them and myself. Oh, and then the mind controlled one comes and tries to kill us again, and the ONE. THING. that I know that can save his ass and keep him from killing us is destroyed in the process. Like, I no longer have access to it. Great. So NOW what do I do?

"They pointed their guns at Crosshair when he was going to save Omega!" Uuuuh, yeah. He just admitted that his chip had been REMOVED. They didn't know when and if he'd TRIED TO KILL THEM after it was removed. He also shows open hostility to Omega. I'd be jumpy, too. Even Tech, the SMART ONE, who just explained his perspective, had his gun out. So it wasn't that far fetched. Is that their fault, OR HIS? Natural consequences, bro.

"They abandoned Crosshair on that platform in Kamino!" Dude, they gave him chance after chance, saying "come with us." Sure, maybe they didn't trust him fully, but after that whole episode, they trusted him enough to let him back on their ship. And he. said. no. In a way, he said "fuck you, no". And since he's still showing loyalty to the empire, how do they know that if they knock him out and drag him along, he isn't going to somehow contact the Empire and get them all captured or something?

"He didn't immediately go get Crosshair!/ He didn't listen to Crosshair and stay in hiding!" Aye caramba, this guy just can't win. First premise, again, traps laid, betrayal happened, how does he know this isn't a trick? And he's still hurting, with fewer resources, and he just found a HOME for them all. If they fall into a trap, they're also putting Pabu at risk. Second premise, his squad made the choice - and he knows who his squad is. If he put his foot down and said "no, we're not doing this, he's warning us to stay away", THEY WOULD HAVE GONE ANYWAY. He knows his team, his family - they don't follow orders. They would have snuck off without him, and he wouldn't have been able to help.

"He's being mean to Crosshair when Crosshair is hurting!" - Yeah, Ima allow this man to be petty and angry for a second. His brother who betrayed him, turned his back on him twice, blamed it ALL ON HIM instead of taking responsibility for his own actions (which he finally does at the end of this episode), tells him ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about what happened, and just shows up expecting trust again? Actively, fuck you (said to Crosshair in this situation). Even Omega is like "YOU HAVE TO TALK TO THEM." Hunter has never been allowed to be openly hurt and angry. Not once this whole show. And now the one he can be vulnerable with is back, he's feeling his emotions - he's PISSED and HURT and ANGRY. He's tired of being the good one, and all of this guilt and other stuff laid at his feet. And what does he ask? "What did you do to betray someone ELSE? You're not even going to TRY and explain why you're here now? Just going to silently simmer and expect us to be all hunky dory?"

Maybe this is just cause I'm an older sibling, and sober in a 12 step (a community that actively acknowledges hurt, but taking responsibility for the lives you've hurt), and taking care of recovering teens who also whine about how the world is so unfair and never want to take responsibility that their actions are their own. (They all have pain, but thats an explanation, not an excuse. You don't get to call someone by their dead name and gender or spread rumors that another client is a pedophile and then act the victim. No.). But I'm team Hunter. I understand him, and he doesn't deserve half of the hate he gets.

I also understand where Crosshair is coming from. I know his hurt and his fear and his rage and everything. I've been him, too, in my active addiction. But guess what, buckaroo? The only difference between you and a droid is you are in charge of your actions, and you have to live with the consequences. I had to do it. Rex and Cody had to do it. Hunter has been doing it (warranted or not). Now, its your turn.

Thanks so much to the people who've already helped spread the word, it's making a big difference already.

The exact amount of the junk pledge is $2,015.

To overcome it's malicious impact, we need to hit an "actual" amount of $15,515 (instead of our real goal of $13,500) - as in, we need to raise enough over our actual goal to cover the money that'll disappear when this fake pledge is removed.

Someone also suggested in the tags that we report it - we absolutely did. :) Here's what I wrote to KS:

"My campaign has 50 hours left and I just got a huge spam pledge for $2,000. This is absolutely insane, and I'm furious. How can you guys let this happen? When this pledge becomes nothing but air, my campaign either won't fund at the last minute because people who WOULD have backed to help get us over the line will think we're already funded, or it won't get cancelled til after the end and then the money won't exist and we won't actually be able to afford to do our project. I'm absolutely livid. I knew y'all were having problems with spam pledges but jesus f-in christ KS you need to resolve this absolutely immediately or figure out a way to make it up to loyal users like us. It impacts KS too, since if we crash and burn at the last minute because of this spam pledge, y'all can't collect your fees. This pledge and it's timing entirely screws up my ability to get last-minute pledges, and even having it there for a few hours will have a substantial negative impact on my ability to run this campaign.

"If this can't be resolved immediately, please PLEASE extend our campaign a day, anything to make up for the damage that this will do to my ability to get my project funded.

"This is the kind of problem that, if KS can't get it under control, I don't know how I'll be able to continue using the platform. Another person I know has had over $10k of spam pledges on his campaign in the last few weeks, and was initially told one of the pledges WASN'T spam and it took over a day to actually resolve. Can you think what it taking over a day will do to my project?

"Sorry, I'm ranty, but I'm livid, and the useless chat bot, my inability to get a human in chat when I've got an urgent problem, the utter lack of FAQ support for what to do when I get a spam pledge like this, and the irrelevant categories on this form I'm filling out now, plus the dozens of uncontrolled spam messages I've gotten about my project across four different platforms, have all combined to make me feel like KS either doesn't care about the spam issue or has zero ability to control it, and honestly neither of these conclusions is heartening when they relate to a company that has taken thousands of dollars in fees from me over the last few years."

I. Might have been a little angry, lmao.

However, their support staff doesn't even get to the office until 9:00 AM Eastern time (one hour from when I'm posting this), and then they'll have however many other e-mails to get through before mine. Our 48-hour window starts at 9:37 am. The odds that the junk pledge will be gone by then are EXTREMELY low. The person I mentioned in that message, it took over a day to get rid of a junk pledge and KS initially told them it WASN'T a junk pledge, so ya know that was awesome for them. I'd been feeling pretty lucky that it hadn't happened to me yet - this happened to them about three weeks ago - but well. guess my luck had run out.

Anyway, if anyone has other questions or comments, I'll see them in tags or you can drop us an ask. The outpouring has already been incredible, folks have pledged (or increased their existing pledges) to a tune of $303 since I put up the post an hour and a half ago, which means we're only about a thousand shy. I was teary-eyed before because I was upset about the junk-pledge, and now I'm teary-eyed instead being grateful about how awesome people are.

Well, this was a disaster. You've been sucked into the quantum due to a mishap with Cassie's invention.

Luckily for you, you weren't alone, Scott and Cassie were with you but no sign of Hank, Janet, and Hope.

"Where are we?" Cassie asked while looking at the realm.

"It looks like one of the world's beyond the void." Scott responds.

"We should start walking to try and find the others." You tell them.

They agree, and you start walking, hopefully able to find your other friends so you can go home.

After what feels like forever we arrive at a small village like place.

"Who are you? what are you doing here?" A woman approaching us asks.

"I'm Scott, that's Cassie, and that's [Name]. We're looking for Janet Van Dyne." Scott tells the women.

"If you're looking for Janet, then he's looking for you. If he's looking for you, then you need to leave this place." She tells us with a worried expression on her face.

"Why? What's going to happen?" You ask, but before she can respond, an explosion erupts, and it knocks you out cold

Before Scott or Cassie can respond, guards come to the cells and stop in front of yours.

"He has requested to see you." One of the robot guards tells you.

They open the door to your cell and grab your arms, taking you away to wherever it is. You're going.

you enter a big room that has a great view overlooking the realm, Standing on a platform in the middle of the room is a man.

The man turns around and smiles at you.

"[Name], It's been so long since I last saw you." He tells you, leaving you confused.

"I know what you're thinking, Who is this guy? how does he know me? Well, I'm here to answer all your questions." He says, taking a step closer to you.

You look at him confused and a worried feeling forming in your stomach, "What do you want from me?" You ask him with a somewhat shaky voice, which you hope he doesn't notice. He did.

"Don't worry [Name], I will explain everything to you." He says with a soft smile, while he moves his had to cup your cheek.

You close your eyes and lean into his touch.

"Have a seat so we can discuss what you're here for." He tells you, removing his hand and holding it out for you to take.

You take his hand, and he leads you to the big throne like chair and offers you to sit down.

You sit down still holding his hand, and he sits down next to you.

"Where should I begin?" He asks you.

"An introduction would be nice." You told him, still scared to speak.

He smiles at your response, "Of course, I'm Kang, the ruler of the quantum realm." He tells you.

"What's your name?" He asks rhetorically, but you respond anyway.

"I'm [Name]." You respond, and he still smiles at you.

"Well [Name], I won't waste anymore time to explain why you're here." He states before clearing his throat getting ready to tell this story.

"Many years ago, before I first came down to this realm, I was a scientist, I worked on many inventions and gadgets and gizmos, etcetera. Along the way, I met someone who was very special to me in many ways. Over time we got to know each other and we fell in love, unfortunately by the time our relationship was getting serious and I was ready to propose to them we got separated. One of my inventions malfunctioned, and it caused me to be trapped here and away from my partner forever, and that person was you." He tells you with a somber tone and a sad smile.

You squeezed his hand reassuringly, causing him to look at you and give you a small smile.

"I may not be the [Name] you knew, But I'll be glad to be the [Name] you know now." You tell him.

You lean up to kiss his soft lips, and he kisses back, deepening the kiss.

You both pull away, and you rest your head on his shoulder while he rests his on top of yours.

Interviewer: So, Lando, you're closest to me, so you'll start off. Um, obviously, we've had a bit of a break since, uh, the testing, and McLaren last year made such a rapid rate of development. Where are you at ahead of the first race? What are your thoughts and feelings?

Lando: Uh... good question.

Interviewer: Come on, Carlos (Carlos arrives late)

Lando: (Laughs) Uh... yes, it's a question I think everyone's asking. I think we kind of have a rough idea of where we're at, but, um... we don't actually really know where we stand comparing to a few other teams. I think it's clear - the top two, then there's a bit of a bunch behind, which is Mercedes, Aston, us, kind of thing. But in terms of just how the pre-season test went, it was a lot better than last year, and we're in a much better position than last year, so that's the most important thing.

Interviewer: Okay, brilliant.

Journalist Questions:

Q1: (Andrew Benson - BBC Sport) This is for Lewis, Lando, and Fernando. F1 as a sport has said it's making efforts to improve diversity. What's your reaction to the fact that someone accused of inappropriate behaviour towards a female colleague has been left in his role and been given a platform in official press conferences while an investigation into those allegations was still ongoing?

Lando: I think it's got nothing to do with us for the time being that investigations underway, things are happening. And something I'd prefer to stay out of for now, so simple as that.

Q2 (Niharika Ghorpade - Sportskeeda): To Lando, you seem to be pessimistic after the test. Is there any area of performance you're worried about?

Lando: It's just the honest answer of, I think, where we stand. I think until we get to Friday, we get to Qualifying, it's tricky to know where we're going to stand against some other teams. I think it's pretty close with several. I think there's a lot of expectation for us as a team just because of how well we progressed last year. Certain races, we were the closest to Red Bull and definitely not far away. Certain other races we were still a long way off, you know, easily behind Mercedes, easily behind Ferrari, easily behind Red Bull and at times fighting with the teams behind that. So we were still just very inconsistent.

Bahrain has never been a good circuit for us. We've never had one of our strongest races ever in Bahrain. So I think it's way too quick to judge and just say, "okay, we're not going to be great here in Bahrain. That's the end of the season for us". I think for everyone, because everyone's so up and down, you have to give us 2 or 3, 4 or 5 races to get the first, I think, honest review of where everyone stands against one another and not just judge it off of the performance that we're going to see here in Bahrain.

A combination of things, stuff that we still need to tackle if we want to make sure we've taken a step forward, which I think we have. We've made the car quicker and that's very clear from all the data we've got. But certain things haven't allowed us to progress as much as what I would have liked and I think as we all would have liked as a team. And also some of those issues are just highlighted a lot here in Bahrain, just because of the nature of the circuit.

So I'm still confident when we go to certain circuits. We were very fast at last year, like, going back to Suzuka and things like that. I'm confident we can still be one of the best cars. But Bahrain has just not suited our car ever, necessarily. And exactly for that reason, I think that's why we're going to struggle a bit more here. But I'm confident we can turn it around later down the line.

Netflix Canceled Majority of their Original Animated Kids Content after the Realignment of their Animation Department and their Stocks Plummeted at NASDAQ e.g. City Of Ghosts!!

HBO Max (Now called Max, By Warner Bros. Discovery) Canceled and erased majority of Cartoon Network Content and their Kids Animated Original Content, e.g. Over The Garden Wall, Infinity Train, Final Space etc. To Cut Costs!!

The Walt Disney Company is just replacing Human Jobs with AI, for Art Creating and Script Writing Purposes, however there's no Animated Content in this year's massive Purged Content list of Disney+ had been announced, but who knows what will happen next!!

Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures are going to rely on Popular IP based Movies (SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, Avatar, Transformers) to be released in Theatres over the Original Ideas based Movies!!

Speaking of Nickelodeon and Paramount, their Streaming Service, Paramount+ removed several Animated Content from their Platform, after the Cancelation and Removal of Star Trek: Prodigy, e.g. Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Becca's Bunch, Digby Dragon, Monsters vs. Aliens and Most Notably, My Favourite Nick Jr. Show after Oswald ended, Peter Rabbit!! Also, Star Trek: Prodigy has been removed everywhere on Nickelodeon, including, Nickelodeon's Website, nick.com!!

As of August 2023, Cartoon Network Studios at Burbank, California, got officially Shut Down, as the Studio Operations merged with Warner Bros. Television Animation, just like Hanna-Barbera Studios!!

And Finally, when WGA and SAG-AFTRA Strikes are ongoing, The Unemployment Rate in The Animation Industry has gone at an Insane High!!

The Animation Fandom have gone way more Toxic than ever before!!

Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network are not interested to Greenlit any project for the better or worse!!

Ain't this Depressing, as an Ardent Animation Fan?? When Last Year, The Owl House got canceled, the fans protested on Twitter/X by using #SaveTheOwlHouse, and when this year, Star Trek: Prodigy got canceled and removed from existence, we are protesting by using #SaveStarTrekProdigy, I will ask you this question!!

"Will you Accept these Debacles in Animation World as The Future of Animation??"

Because, right now, it is true fact, that the Animation Fandom is not quiet ready to see the destruction of Animation in their bare eyes!!

But what shall we do?? The Fandom of This Miraculous Ladybug/PAW Patrol Duopoly and the Bootlickers of Egoistic Showrunners like Thomas Astruc, will still support the Duopoly, no matter how much we make them the noises that respect and give other shows a chance, don't sleep on them!! We will listen, we will see, we won't take any action, and we still be in Silence after all the Debacles, and the Freedom of Speech will be taken away from us!!

And in Next Year, when The Animation Guild (TAG) goes on Strike, we see more and more animated series gets the Cancelation and Purge from Streaming Services, like suppose at this rate of condition, if Next Year, Disney Channel's Series, Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, cancels at Disney TVA, and the fans will again protest on Social media by Using #SaveMGADD, I will come back and ask the Question again!! And this cycle will go on and on and on!! Unless, we have to take action against the unfairness, this Corporate Studios and Money-hungry Showrunners have created!!

So, let me ask you this question one last time, Animation Fans all over the world!!

Don't Worry Darling Pt. 7

Summary: Y/N has her first big break as an actress as she lands the leading role in 'Don't Worry Darling'. The only problem is that her co-star is Harry Styles, who she feels has a very big ego. Tensions rise the more they film. All kinds of tension...

6 Months Later

Your car is slowing down, but your heart rate is speeding up. You fidget with your hands while your legs are bouncing uncontrollably.

Bethany places her hand on your thigh and gives you a sweet smile when you look her way.

"What's got you nervous, lady?"

"Oh, you know, just attending the Golden Globes for the very first time!" You chuckle, shaking your head. "I just can't believe this is happening."

"It's only the beginning for you, sweetheart. I know it is." She winks, patting your leg before removing her hand, as the car comes to a stop. "Alright, you ready?"

You let out a big, quick laugh. "No!"

"Too bad. Let's go." She smirks.

You exit the car and Bethany helps you fix your dress. Heading down the walkway and taking a deep breath, you walk onto the carpet and into the flashes of cameras.

"Y/N! Y/N!"

Just subtly over the shouts from the paparazzi, you can hear your name being called out by fans. The lights make it difficult to see much, but you can just make out the crowds forming to the sides, so you send a few blown kisses their way. You hope the action holds back the tears in your eyes as you're overwhelmed with gratitude. You are so happy to be there.

You stop for a few quick interviews on the sidelines before walking up a few steps and reaching the Entertainment Tonight platform

"Y/N, it's so nice to finally meet you!" Mario Lopez states.

"Oh my goodness, and you as well!" You reply.

"You look outstanding! And can I just tell you something? You were outstanding in 'Don't Worry Darling' too!"

"Thank you! That is so nice, thank you so much!"

"Seriously, outstanding. You did such a great job portraying the intensity of the film. Was it hard to get into that mindset?"

"Umm… as unclear as this answer is, I'd say yes and no. Yes, because my life isn't as intense as Alice's is, obviously. I had to really dig to create that inner turmoil for her character. But also no, because I had so many good people around me giving constant encouragement and support so, yeah. That's my very confusing answer." You chuckle.

"And some of those people around you, your castmates… how was it, walking into the experience pretty much, uh, a rookie, and working with people such as Chris Pine, who's been in this business a long time."

"Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to doing a film of this magnitude. Umm, every single person on the cast, and the crew, were so welcoming, helpful, and just amazing. It's been such an amazing time for me."

"And, the film is nominated tonight, right? For Best Motion Picture Drama?"

You nod. "Yeah, yeah it is."

"How does that feel for you personally?" He asks, leaning in a little closer with the mic, as more people come onto the platform for other interviews.

"Wow, I mean, I'm just so honored to have even been a part of it and the nomination is really just a reflection of every single person… cast, crew, production, everyone… putting their all into it and making it what it came out to be."

"Absolutely, an amazing film! And speaking of your castmates…" He motions behind you, so you turn around to see Harry walking up the couple of steps to the platform.

"Hi Harry." You give him a small smile, seeing his hesitation as he walks up to you.

"Hello there." He leans towards you for a polite kiss on the cheek, then shakes Mario's hand.

You motion down the steps as you see Bethany waving you over.

"I better get moving. It's good to see you, Harry. And Mario, it was so nice to meet you. Thank you for having me."

"Thank you for being here!"

You give Mario a quick hug and nod towards Harry as you head back over to the red carpet.

"Sorry, I couldn't stop it." Bethany apologizes.

You raise an eyebrow at her. "Stop what?"

She points over to Harry but you smile and shake your head. "Oh, no, I'm fine. Totally fine."

She stares blankly at you for a moment, causing you to nod for reassurance, then she ushers you further on to take a few more photos.

You take your position and pose as the flashing lights blind you, taking a few more photos and then being ushered into the theatre.

The production crew has reserved a booth for the cast, very close to the stage. Your heart starts racing, thinking how unbelievable it is to be here. You know this night will be amazing. Definitely better than the movie premiere. You shake that thought out as you reach the booth.

"Hello my beautiful friends!" You greet your castmates, hugging each one who is already there. Gemma pats the spot next to her and you take the seat.

"You look stunning!" She states. "How are you feeling?"

"This is… unreal." You let out a strong exhale.

"Yeah, takes some getting used to." She grabs the glass in front of her and takes a sip. "That's why they serve drinks."

You giggle and look around the giant room, overwhelmed by the magnitude of the event, and all the people in attendance who you once never dreamed you would be in the same room with.

You start to turn back towards Gemma when you see Harry walking up to the booth. He makes his way, shaking hands and hugging everyone, before reaching you and Gemma.

"Ladies." He smiles towards Gemma, flickering his gaze towards you for a moment.

"Gem, how are you?"

"I'm good! Busy. Got a few things lined up soon. How are your tour plans coming along? I definitely want to come to one of the shows!"

He flickers his gaze over to you again, and looks back to her. "Yeah. S'good. Figuring it out. Let me know when you want to come and I'll get tickets sent to you."

He turns towards you and drops his gaze to the floor, rubbing the back of his neck. You notice his gaze slowly, and subtly make its way up your dress before finally meeting your eyes.

"Hi Y/N…" he mumbles.

"Hey, Harry." You smile. "You're… planning a tour?"

He clears his throat and nods. "Yeah."

"Oh. I didn't know. That's awesome."

The lights flicker and there is an announcement for everyone to take their seats.

"It… it was really good to see you." He states, running his hand through his hair and smiling at Gemma as he turns around.

You both sit down and Gemma quickly shifts her body to face you.

"That was… interesting… you alright?"

"I'm fine. Totally fine." You shrug, catching a glimpse of Harry as he sits down next to Chris, resting his elbows on his knees and fidgeting with his rings.

A countdown starts, music plays, and the ceremony begins.

Most of the night is a blur, with a lot of jokes, speeches, and performances. None of it really pertains to you, so it is a waiting game until the last award is announced. A couple of drinks have helped keep your nerves at bay.

You've noticed glances from Harry here and there. Each time, you send him a small smile, but have only been met with an awkward one, then a downward shift of his gaze.

Finally, it is time to award 'Best Motion Picture Drama', which the movie has been nominated for. You look at Gemma, who is biting her thumb nail. Then to Chris, who is casually staring at the stage. Then your gaze lands on Harry, as it always seems to. He is looking over at you, with his lips pulled in and his eyes widening when you meet his gaze. You smile back at him, taking a deep breath as you look back to the stage.

"And the winner is…"

You grab Gemma's hand.

"It is 'Don't Worry Darling'! Congratulations!"

Everyone on the team instantly jumps up, hugging whoever is next to them.

You all make your way up to the stage and bunch up behind some of the production crew. Gemma is on one side of you and Chris is on the other.

"This wonderful cast, this entire group of talented individuals, came together to make this film what it came to be… this award is for all of you!"

Tears start to form in your eyes and you grab Gemma's hand again. Then you look over to Chris, also catching another glimpse of Harry. He also has watery eyes and a big smile. He glances over to you, and lets out a deep breath. His eyes quickly track down and then back up your dress again before smiling as he looks back into your eyes. It doesn't last long, but you are thankful that there was a positive interaction between the two of you at that moment.

When the speech is over, everyone is ushered backstage. You all circle around for a group huddle and let out a big cheer.

Everyone gives hugs and once it is down to you and Harry. You give him a smile but he just nods and turns to walk away. Your face turns to a frown and your breathing picks up it's rhythm.

"Harry." You blurt out, unintentionally.

He quickly turns around with a confused look on his face.

"Umm… I just wanted to say, just congrats." You state, giving a smile that feels completely forced and uncomfortable.

"Oh." He runs his hand through his curls. "Yeah, umm, you too." He clears his throat and turns back around to walk away.

You feel your chest tighten ever so slightly as Gemma walks up to stand beside you. You straighten up and give her a smile when you look over.

"Are you alright?." She asks.

"I'm fine."

"Good."

"Totally, totally fine."

"Okay… Well, go get changed and meet me at the party. I wanna see this dress of yours. Bethany said it could ignite the entire room."

You chuckle and shake your head. "She exaggerates."

Gemma giggles and gives you a wink. "Just hurry this time."

After a multitude of photos are taken, you enter the huge venue where you are attending your first Golden Globes after party. You take in a deep breath as you also take in the event unfolding before you.

Your eyes lock on Gemma, whose jaw has dropped open wide at the sight of your dress. You giggle and shake your head, before seeing her turn to whoever she is standing with at a bar-height table. Your eyes follow and your breath stops. Right as you meet Harry's gaze, he closes his mouth, turns to Gemma, and drops his gaze down to his drink. He brings the glass to his lips and takes a large sip of whatever is in it.

You take a deep breath as you walk over to them.

"Was the fire department outside?" Gemma winks at you.

"What?" Harry asks quietly.

Gemma looks over to him and giggles. "Oh, it's… it's because her assistant Bethany told me how hot the dress would be."

"Oh." He nods, taking another sip of his drink, then clears his throat. "Looks good."

Gemma smirks at him and then looks over to you. "Wanna grab a drink and get this party started?"

You sneak a quick glance at Harry, noting how good he looks in his suit, causing a few butterflies. You shoot your eyes back to Gemma. "Please!"

She links arms with you and leads you towards the bar. "You alright?"

Your head snaps over to her. "Yeah. I'm fine."

"Just making sure." You can see she looks over to Harry, and then looks back at you, opening her mouth slightly to say something.

"What are you getting?" You ask, distracting her from whatever she was about to say.

"Oh. I'll probably get a martini." She shrugs.

"That sounds good." You agree, trying to get the attention of the bartender.

She turns towards you, mouth opening again to speak, and you suddenly lean over the bar.

"Come on... where is the bartender?" You ask, tapping your fingers on the counter.

"This is going to be an interesting night." She chuckles.

You let out a sigh. "I actually hope it's not."

All night, you've been getting congratulatory comments from people you know, and people you don't. It feels a bit weird, considering the award won tonight was for the movie itself, but you kindly respond with gratitude. You've also been given a lot of comments about your natural chemistry with Harry. All you can do is smile, and acknowledge the statement, but quickly divert the topic of conversation.

It is getting a bit overwhelming, so you find a table in a corner, and sit down for a breather.

You rest your elbows on the table, your hands fidgeting with your martini glass in front of you. You raise it to take a sip and as your eyes dart around the room, they instinctually meet Harry's. It's like a bad habit that your own body has created.

His eyes immediately widen. They dart to the side, then down, and then back up to yours. Your heart starts to race just from his stare and your stomach starts to knot up as he gets out of his chair and begins to walk in your direction.

His hand rubs the back of his neck, but he suddenly changes course and heads to the bar, causing you to let out a huge sigh of relief.

This seems to be harder than you thought it would be. You had prepared yourself, you felt good about being there and seeing him, but the more you do the more your intense emotions start to creep in. You feel the sting of that last after party, you feel awkward and flustered seeing him, you feel frustration with yourself for letting any of this get to you, and you actually feel sadness that it even ended up like this. But you also feel determined to enjoy this party.

Suddenly someone sits down in the chair next to you, and you freeze for a moment as you look to your side.

"Hi darling!" James Cordon states, causing you to internally relax as he hands you another martini.

"I need to ask you something…"

"Is that what the drink is for?" You laugh, feeling some relief actually having someone you know, not from the film, to sit with.

"If it helps!" He grins. "So what's going on with you and Harry?"

The relief you felt suddenly drains from your body.

"What? Nothing. Why?"

"You two have practically been, like, gazing at each other all night! Heart eyes maybe?"

Your chest tightens. You had initially wondered if he knew the truth, but now you're certain he wouldn't be making those statements if he did.

"No." You sigh. "Definitely not."

"Alright." He quickly puts his hands up in defense and smiles. "You two meshed so well on my show. And there were those rumors… when you were filming…"

"They're just rumors." You shake your head.

"He just seemed smitten, any time he was around you. Or when he just talked about you." He grins.

"James." Your chest tightens more, your stomach twists in knots, and your head feels dizzy.

"I'm just saying… you can tell me… he's my friend, so maybe I can help, you know?" He nudges your side.

You clear your throat. "Please don't. Trust me, there's nothing going on."

"Alright, darling. Well, I'm going to make the rounds. Maybe play matchmaker for someone else. I sense love in the air. We'll catch up more later?" He gives you a hug and kiss on the cheek, then turns around heading back into the sea of people.

You rest your elbows on the table and rest your forehead in your palms.

You decide that you've had enough. You're done dealing with this again, so you look for Gemma to tell her goodbye.

You see her standing at the bar, and you wonder why the universe seems to hate you so much, because standing with her is Harry.

You take a deep breath, and finish the martini for some extra motivation. You stand up, and straighten up as you walk over to them.

Harry's eyes widen as you reach their spot. Your mouth stretches slightly across your face in an awkward smile, and you place your hand on Gemma's shoulder to turn her towards you.

"Hey Gem. I think I'm gonna head out."

"Oh really? Are you feeling alright?" She asks, furrowing her brow slightly, as she slyly flickers her eyes to Harry.

"I'm just… I'm just exhausted." You shrug, gazing downward at the floor.

Harry quickly sneaks a glance at your face, and you can tell in your peripheral vision that he frowns too. He takes a sip of his drink, and you meet his gaze. He simply nods towards you and walks away, causing you to feel your heart sink a little. You pull your lips in, attempting to stifle the emotions bubbling up again, and you turn back to Gemma.

"Let's make sure we get together again soon. Okay?" She asks, giving you a hug and holding your shoulders as she pulls away.

"Of course!" You reply, clearing the lump in your throat.

"Are you sure everything is okay, Y/N?"

"For fucks sake. Yes. I'm fine." You clear your throat. "I'm so sorry, Gem! Yes, I'm fine."

You give her a kiss on the cheek and suddenly see Harry across the room, catching his gaze before he sharply turns back to the conversation he is having with James. You let out a subtle whimper and she squeezes your arm.

"Y/N…"

"No." You sigh. "Maybe I'm not."

After finally settling in on the couch, in one of the most comfortable robes you've ever come across, you hear a knock on your hotel door.

You groan slightly at the fact that you have to move, and walk over to open it.

"Hey, Y/N. Got a minute?" Bethany asks.

"Uh… yeah. What's going on?"

She takes a few steps into your suite and you turn to her after closing the door behind you.

"This is super random, but I was sent a link to an audio demo and was asked to send it to you." She explains, tapping nervously on the phone in her hand.

"Okay… right now?"

She shrugs. "Apparently they want feedback right away."

"What is it?" You ask, eyebrows raised.

"Don't know… you just need to listen to it." She replies, opening her phone to your contact. "I'll send it right now."

Your phone buzzes with the notification and when you open the text, you see an audio file with the title 'LF'.

You go to press it but she puts her hand on top of your phone. "Wait. You should probably wear your headphones."

"What the hell is going on, Bethany. You're acting kind of weird."

"I was told you're the only one who's allowed to listen to it." She replies, walking towards the door.

"By who?"

"Umm… the producer…." She shrugs. "I'll be… out here. Enjoy."

She closes the door behind her and you grab your headphones from the nightstand beside the bed.

"Fucking weird." You whisper.

You press the file and hear four rhythmic thuds before the piano chord and a voice starts to sing.

You stand there, in the middle of the room, as the song plays and the words travel through you. Your body gets goosebumps and your breathing becomes rapid. Tears quickly start forming in the corners of your eyes as you continue to listen.

The melody isn't complicated but the words are deep, and you start to feel as if your body can't hold you up much longer. You take steps backwards toward the bed and sit on the edge as another verse starts to play.

"I disrespected you

Jumped in feet first and I landed too hard

Broken ankle, karma rules

You never saw my birth mark

I was thinking about who you are

As a few instruments play out the rest of the melody and then go silent, you stare down at your phone, unable to see the screen through all the tears.

After a few deep breaths to calm yourself down, you wipe as many tears away as you can, and stand back up. You need to talk to Bethany.

You swing the door open. "Bethany, wha-"

You fall silent, just staring across from you, as you see Harry leaning against the wall. One arm is wrapped around the front of him, while he pinches his bottom lip with the fingers on his other hand. His gaze is down towards the floor.

"Harry?" You whisper, tears starting to fall again.

"Y/N, M'sorry, so sorry." He lets out a sigh and slightly works his gaze up to you. "I royally fucked up and I hate that I hurt you."

"The song-"

"I…" he clears his throat as his voice gets shaky and a tear streams down his cheek. "I haven't stopped thinking about it. About you. You didn't deserve that. You deserve way better. Way better. You meant way more to me than how I treated you that night, and… I… just needed you to know that."

Your mouth drops open but you can't seem to get any words out. Your heart is racing and your breathing is so shallow, but you can only manage to get a couple of words out.

"The song-"

"You don't need to say anything, Y/N. I should've said all of this a long time ago. I tried to all night, but I could barely bring myself to look at you. I felt so guilty. I wanted you to hear it now, that's all. Just… to know that m'really sorry." He whispers, lowering his head again as he pushes himself off the wall. "Umm, I should go."

"Harry, wait." You take a step towards him and he stops, snapping his gaze right up to you.

"The song was beautiful!" You state, switching your gaze between each of his eyes before letting out a heavy exhale and looking at his lips.

You look back up at him. His eyes are wide and his breathing is quickening. He moves slightly closer towards you, looking down at you with his gorgeous green eyes.

You find your free hand moving up to cup his cheek and his breath hitches.

"Y/N, I-"

You reach your lips up to meet his with a gentle kiss. He hums and as you pull away you can see that he is smirking.

But it instantly disappears and he shakes his head. "I don't want to do anything..."

You quickly step back and feel a large knot in your stomach.

"Oh." You frown as you look down at the floor, feeling the most intense amount of embarrassment. "Shit."

"No, no, no." He steps back to you and grabs your shoulders, rubbing his hands up and down them as he stares into your eyes. "No, I mean… I don't want to do anything, if it's just like before."

You raise an eyebrow.

"I mean… I…" he stutters, growling at himself. "I still want to be with you. I don't want to do anything with you… if I can't be with you. I can't. It's not fair to me or to you."

As if your heart wasn't racing enough, it picks up its pace.

"I miss you, Y/N." He shrugs. "I feel… weird… not talking to you, not being around you. I miss… your eyes… your smile… your laugh… your sass… your touch…"

"I…" You whimper, letting a few tears fall.

"I want to be with you. That's… that's all I want. But, if you don't then I'll-"

Your heart flutters and a spark shoots through your entire body. "I do. I do want that."

He grabs your face and walks you back towards the hallway walk, his lips smashing into yours. Your arms instantly wrap around his neck and your fingers tangle in his hair, causing him to moan against your mouth. The sensation you would always get when he touched you has ignited again and you melt right into him.

"Maybe we should…" He smirks. "Not make out in the hallway?"

"Well if you're suddenly gonna be a prude about it…" you chuckle, turning around and pushing the door back open to let him in.

"There's the sass."

As he shuts the door, you turn around to face him and grab his hands to pull him in closer.

"Wait." He exclaims. "I really need you to know how sorry I am."

"I know." Biting your lip and pulling him closer to you, starting to let that passion take over a little.

"Y/N. M'serious." He grabs your face. "I need to know if you can forgive me."

You can't help but grin. You can tell he means it. Really means it. Now everything you felt for him, and more, comes flooding over you.

"I forgive you." You utter.

He smashes his lips against yours again, and you can feel him smiling while you kiss. That simple touch alone makes your knees week. Sensation runs through you as his hands travel up and down your back. Everything about him is intoxicating, and you know deep down you never truly stopped craving it.

You pull away and look him in the eyes, one eyebrow raised. "Was the song actually about me?"

He smiles. "Pretty much, yeah. But I did lie..."

"Wait, what?"

"I was worried... about where you were, and who you were... going home to."

"No one. I just couldn't... Wait a minute..." Your mouth drops open dramatically as you give him arm a smack. "So you called me a little freak?"

He lets out a big laugh, then grabs your hips to pull you in right up against him, biting his lower lip. "Umm… well, the bathrooms, the changing tent, the trailers… the… the elevator… kind of prove me right on that one."

You purse your lips and glare at him. "Damn it."

"You could, umm, if you want… try to prove me wrong…" He subtly smirks. "Only if you want to."

You squint at him and pull your lips in. "You think I'm just gonna jump back into bed with you now?"

"Oh, shit." He straightens up. "No, I-"

"Because I'd rather do it like Jack and Alice, on the table." You stick your tongue out between your teeth.

"See? You're so fucking naughty. A little freak."

Consumer FAQ About Unity's Recent Decision

I've noticed there's a few frequently asked questions by non-gamedev folks about how Unity's recent direction might affect them as consumers, and a lot of folks still (understandably confused) about all the Unity happenings.

Given Unity's half-elaborated approach to this decision it's difficult to come up with concrete answers in some cases as we don't know how this is all going to roll out, but I figured it would be worthwhile to try to provide some clarity on common topics where I can.

If anyone has additional questions please leave them as a reblog or an ask and I can try to help. I'm not a definitive source and I'd encourage folks to look around at what other developers are saying on this subject.

Q: I don't get it! It's only a few cents off the top and it doesn't effect most developers. Why are so many devs mad about this if it doesn't affect them?

A: Here's a good overview on the whole situation up to this point. It's a long read but excellent background and likely to answer a lot of questions.

While the pricing decision doesn't affect all developers (due to thresholds), the way Unity is implementing it does and there's a lot of that side of it which is a massive sweeping change. They're planning to track users on a per-install basis, which is an incredibly unreliable approach to business and largely lacks precedent for a game engine. Installs can be spoofed, and tracking universal installs from things like piracy, countries with stricter data laws, etc. is virtually impossible for every type of application. This is why most companies like Epic simply charge based on game revenue, because revenue is tracked and it also doesn't rely on charging developers for money they potentially don't have.

Additionally, some devs operate on incredibly thin margins and 0.15 cents an install is easily enough cost to tank a company, especially in the realm of Free-To-Play where installs don't make money. This also means that low-priced games are at risk, as 0.15 cents off a game that is, say $5, really adds up. Unity also seems poised to chase after distributors like Microsoft and Valve in some of these cases, which is...a daunting legal battle that could easily cost the company a fortune, and this is probably the biggest hurdle they will cross in putting this into action.

Moreover Unity has been incredibly cagey about the actual technical implementation of how this will happen, and it's going to be implemented on any game made in Unity by every developer, regardless of sales or platform. It's a massive core change to their product and how users are tracked, and they're rolling it out in a very unplanned, untelegraphed way across everyone in their ecosystem. Many developers find it difficult to trust a company that makes decisions like this (*cough*Twitter*cough*) and don't want to be associated with shipping games that track users like this.

If I had to draw a comparison it's a bit like if an electric company gave you electricity and charged you for it, but being unwilling (and also unable) to show you how much they came up with the numbers on how much you owe them - all because one guy in your whole town was using more electricity than the rest of you.

Q: Will I lose access to my favourite dev's Unity-made games when this happens?

A: Assuming devs choose to remove their games, it depends on how the platform handles it. Steam, for example, keeps games in users libraries even if they're delisted from the store. You'll need to investigate how your platform of choice handles game removals to determine the risk there, but I imagine keeping access of the game to users is fairly standard practice across various platforms.

This is also assuming a company or platform chooses to remove a game because of this. As of right now it's hard for most people - devs included - to tell if this plan is going to stick as is, which means it's hard to know if devs will de-list their games because of it. It's a huge risk dev-side and I'm sure most would prefer to avoid that however possible.

Q: Should I avoid installing a developer's game if it's made in Unity? I don't want to charge them money!

A: These policies (if they go through) don't kick in until January 1st, 2024, so anything you download now is fine to download risk-free. After that, assuming these decisions go through as-is, it largely depends on the game's sales figures and how the developer wants you to handle it, as I imagine every one will have a different approach. Some devs will signal their intent.

Remember too that this largely depends on the game's user numbers and sales figures, which aren't often made public to consumers and are even hard to track for developers. It's very muddy water, but I'd honestly say you're going to be generally safe to install games. Also keep in mind Unity alleges it's only "for a first install" - assuming this is true, if you've already installed a game you're theoretically safe to reinstall it on your device as many times as you need without charging a dev.

Q: Is every game made in Unity going to be taken down?

A: I suspect it's likely you'll still have access to all your titles you have access to in some way or another. Some games could potentially be lost but I imagine popular titles that everyone is asking about (Cult of the Lamb, Hollow Knight) will continue existing in some form whether that be preservation or re-publishing by developers - after all they're the ones most in the public eye and most likely to be hopped on by presevationists. Unfortunately though, it's hard to know right now and depends on the decision the developer makes with delisting their product.

Q: Should I download all my games for preservation purposes?

A: If you're planning to actually archive them for others! I imagine a lot of preservationists are eyeing this and taking action as we speak.

Q: I'm a consumer, how can I support developers?

A: This one is tricky because options are limited consumer-side. At this point, short of denouncing Unity's decision, even developers are limited in their options. We can't "strike" or "boycott" against Unity because...well none of us work for Unity and refusing to interact with the ecosystem would cost many people's livelihoods. Many devs have already cancelled their payment plans to them or threatened to abandon the platform should this go through.

Consumers have even less options, but being vocal towards Unity especially in ways they will notice - such as their official forum thread or tagging their official social media channels on the subject - is incredibly valuable and lets them know that you as a consumer are against this. Moreover, listen to developers and what they're saying about all this, and what their plans are for their games when/if this decision goes through. Be vocal in your support for devs who are denouncing Unity's practices - I promise if this is scary as a consumer it's even scarier as a developer as this is very much putting dev's jobs at stake. You should also stay up to date with Unity's messaging and what developers say about it - the first step is staying reliably informed and not jumping head-first into wild speculation.

I suspect in most cases boycotting Unity games on the whole is not helpful for paid titles, as you'd likely just be punishing the developers.

No matter what be respectful to the workers at Unity and do not threaten them. I've worked at companies that made shit decisions, and they are never made by choice of the workers at a company. It's a frustrating situation and given how fundamentally flawed these changes are I fully believe that they pointed out the flaws here ahead of time and were likely ignored. The folks working there are not to blame and do not deserve your ire or threats, and I guarantee they've spent this week internally denouncing this decision from management as well.

Q: I'm learning/started learning Unity, is all my knowledge gone to waste? Should I stop learning it?

A: No! Game engines are all similar to one another and many skills are transferable across them. Any game developer who works in an IDE eventually learns how to swap to another and at no point are you ever locked in to one. Practices and processes you learn in Unity are very much applicable in Godot or Unreal.

There's no moral imperative that forces you to let the decision of executives compromise your learning - you're not paying Unity anything to use their engine for learning, and it will teach you skills you can carry on to a new engine when you're done.
