the flag uses shades of purple, a color i associate with fiction, and a triangle shape at the top of the flag to mimic the roof of a house. the term is 'ficti' from 'fictional' + 'domus', latin for 'house' or 'home'!

here's the flag template! you can adjust the number of stripes at the bottom, split the triangle into sections of different colors, etc. depending on how many colors you want to include in a fictidomus flag.

The House of the Ceii is one of the oldest in Pompeii. It dates from the Samnite era (2nd century BC) and the owner seems to have been a magistrate named Lucius Ceius Secundus (his name appears on the outside of it). The domus is adorned with precious ones. mural paintings with scenes of animals in fight. Hunters and prey are shown in their natural habitat; landscapes in which African hunters appear with Egyptian-style buildings, preparing to hunt hippopotamuses and crocodiles on the banks of the Nile. They were in very poor condition and have been restored by means of a complex laser system, thus recovering their original splendor.

Currently the domus can be visited, but it is advisable to first see what days it is open to the public.

You will have seen a central pond or reservoir in the atrium of many Roman domus…do you know what it was used for? Well, it was called impluvium and it was to collect rainwater. The water fell through an opening in the roof, the compluvium. The rain slid down the slopes of the roof and was stored and, through a filtering system, passed to another cistern and from there supplied the family. Constructed of various materials, they could be decorated with fountains, statues... The opening also let light into the rooms.
