Look. It's my dogbro Barkley, and my two boyfriends Eugene and Felix from Cassette Beasts...No, I'll prob not be normal about this game for a little bit, The OST for this game is in my head, is playing right now bc yay earworm songs. I'm pretty sure I didn't explore that Island in any sensible order like you're supposed to, but oh well lolololololololol. The mon capturing mechanic is fun, sometimes annoying until you get it. The way the elemental weakness/strength stuff works is fun if a little iffy on how easy it is to pick up. The puzzling is fine if not a bit annoying occasionally but if you have played like, any other mon capturing game or platformer, metroidvanias. The story isn't like crazy amazing new or anything but I found it engaging enough, it's fun.

It's just a fun game all around. The music especially is great, a good mix of new and nostalgic kind of gaming. Love the color palettes. I haven't really landed on how I feel about the beast designs. They're all fine and I like the variety but I don't really connect to them like I have multiple Pokemon designs. I would say some of that is possibly tied to just. Seeing Pokemon so much in my life lol. The fusion mechanic is pretty fun, but depending on your beasts they can end up pretty fuckin fugly. I've just accepted in my current main pair for battling that its just going to be a very fugly robo doll thing. And it's not Triphinx's fault lolololol.
