I had a dumb thought about toonjuice.

Lydia is like a teenager, and she's going through wearing skincare routine cause of zits and stuff at night as she sleeps. She gets snackish for whatever reason at 3am, goes to raid the fridge while in half zombie mode of being kind of asleep still and BJ just thinks it's Charles getting something to eat.

He goes in to scare the shit out of her then when she moves the fridge door cause she hears her dumb best friend, she looks at him with bloodshot eyes, groaning and all that jazz then scares the shit out of him instead lmao

BJ's conesus is teenagers are scary.

Would Lydia be like a roadie for Rockstar!Beetlejuice? Or maybe a fan who BJ realizes has a lot of talent so he kinda becomes a mentor to her?

Oh I see it as they kind of hung around together a lot before Beej's fame kind of took off. He can be either a demon or human in this au, whichever y'all prefer ^^

But, he was pretty much always alone, often practicing his music by his self, when our resident goth child found him and strikes up a convo about music. They started hanging out much more and become friends through being little shits and their shared love of the tunes.

One way or another, Lydia introduces him to her parents and the Maitlands, they became like family to him, and once he starts getting well known , Lydia tags along on some of his tours.

She's like the little sister that bugs the hell out of him and pokes fun at his band and clothes, but he loves her a lot and he appreciates her company ^^

Lydia also features as vocals for some of his songs ! Kids got talent, Beetlejuice has to admit lol
