Headcanons for Bruno and Camilo?
Ah yes my favorite duo, Bastard Idiot²
Bruno: I have this headache that comes and goes
Camilo: I'm home!
Bruno, fondly: There it is
• At first, Camilo was standoffish toward Bruno. Not mean or rude or even outright avoiding him, just not... close. He would keep his distance from him and watch him from afar, speaking to him sparingly and rarely being the one to instigate the conversation. Bruno, though a bit hurt at his nephews apprehension, understood and didn't ever try to push Camilo to try and interact with him, keeping his distance but still finding immense joy in making the boy smile and laugh whenever he did talk to him.
• Though it takes a while, when the ice between them breaks, it shatters. Camilo- who could only remember his tío as a looming prophet sorcerer that would send his demonic rats to harass those who crossed him -is now baring witness to said tío hunkering down behind the threshold of the kitchen with a grin only a devious little brother could possess, eyes fixated on Julieta. Realizing he's being watched, Bruno asks Camilo if he wants to help him prank her and Camilo nods without a second thought, following his directions to distract her while Bruno switches the sugar for her coffee with an identical salt shaker while her back is turned.
They both got scolded and lost dessert privileges after dinner, but seeing the two of them lean on one another so they wouldn't fall over laughing at her washing her mouth out did make Julieta smile.
• That day marked the day that hell itself came into the Madrigal home because, now that the tension between them was gone in an afternoon like it hadn't been there in the first place, Camilo gained access to over thirty years worth of information and insight on prank planning and general mischief. And who better a source than his uncle who can make sure they almost never get caught by looking into the future for potential holes in the plan? Those two wouldn't see sweets after dinner for months
• They definitely put on plays together. Bruno is the script writer and director while Camilo is the acting coach and co-director. The rats acting prowess has greatly improved with Camilo leading them through the stage directions by turning into each character and showing the rats how it's all done, elated when they copy him to the best of their ability. Though he still doesn't like them in his clothes or to hold them for long, the rats adore Camilo, but when Antonio told him that they've labeled him their forth favorite person, Bruno really really tried not to laugh at the absolute heartbreak and betrayal on his face at the news. Tried.
• Camilo, if he isn't preoccupied with something else, tends to follow after Bruno. Bruno can figure that Camilo is studying him for his shape shifting, matching the way he walks and the way he moves his hands when he talks, but sometimes Camilo really does follow Bruno around for the sake of just following his tío around. He's curious of him after so long, especially when his most vivid memory of him doesn't match up at all, and asks him questions that Bruno answers often without looking at him, mostly because Camilo likes to follow him about when he had other things to do
• Referring to the above, Camilo's favorite time to bother spend time with his uncle is when he's in his room. Bruno meditates and takes time looking uselessly through the idle future to avoid getting prophecy headaches (a habit he had to push himself to take back up) and Camilo just loves to flop his way through the swirling sand dome and plop himself down right next time and watch the green flashes of nothing and everything, absolutely in awe by it all. Bruno ~begrudgingly~ lets him stay so long as he promises to be quiet and let him focus and Camilo swears he will, but they always end up having an idle conversation about the bits and pieces of the visions. Hey, Bruno said he had to be quiet, not completely silent.
Camilo: Tío, can I come in?
Bruno: No
Camilo, pushing through the sand dome: Thanks, love you
Despite the poor job he does pretending to be oh so "annoyed" with Camilo's presence, Bruno's heart tugs with immeasurable happiness and relief to see the way Camilo's eyes sparkle with interest and almost glee watching the swirling visions, rather than the fear and unease he had sung about before
• Camilo still does the "Scary Bruno" for children who are too young to be truthfully frightened by the tales of old "Bad Luck Bruno." He was afraid at first that it would put a strain on their relationship when Bruno found out, but Bruno, after setting aside the initial knee jerk fear, joked about how he only wished that the "seven foot frame" was a reality. Bruno doesn't care if Camilo pulls out the scary face for a couple of kids that run off screaming with smiles on their faces, but still, Camilo always makes sure to reassure the children that that version of his tío is just a story. The real guy is just some sweet old dude that hangs out with cute rats and eats sand all day (which often prompts another Madrigal to insist that Bruno, at the very least, doesn't willing eat sand)
• The funny thing is that while "Scary Bruno" doesn't phase him much, the first time Camilo shifted into him how he actually is, Bruno just about had a heart attack

Encanto Favourite Relative Headcanon
Time to make fandom content for once. I feel like the movie showed us hints of who might be each other's favourite aunt/nephew/niece and there's some cool reasoning behind it. Can't believe I have to say this but anyone using this post for incest ships will be blocked. Also i just woke up so if there's any typos, no there isn't
Julieta and Camilo
Juli is seen holding onto him during the ceremony, which makes me feel like he might be her favourite nephew and the one who talks to her the most. He's also close to Mirabel's age, so it makes sense that she took care of both of them. Their powers are also similar, cooking and transforming into others requires knowing a lot about the people of the town (allergies, favourite flavours and how they act), so Julieta probably taught him a bit of what she knows about others and how to deal with a power that works best if you know the person you're using it on.
Pepa and Isabela
As far as I know, Isa and Dolores are similar ages too so Pepa also would have spent time with Isabela during the early years. Both of their powers require control over their emotions (Isa made a cactus when she was angry), and Pepa seems a bit more like a fashion conscious person than Juli (personal HC) so for her and Isa to talk about beautiful things prior to the movie makes sense. Like Julieta, Pepa would also have helped Isabela adapt to the circumstances and sympathize with her powers. Plus their dance during the Bruno song just screams "We're the ones dancing at family parties while everyone else is tired"
Bruno
Most of my HCs are from pre-reveal so I don't have much to go off of here, and all three options here make sense to me. One obvious candidate is Mirabel because she has the most interaction with him, and rather than being more passive about him staying away, actively forces him into action and to see the good in his vision. Dolores is a good option too since she knew about him in the walls, but there's not a lot of indication that they spoke in the movie. They might get along because of communicating through the walls, and because their gifts always require them to be on edge. Dolores has to filter out everything and hope she hears danger while not getting overwhelmed by sounds, and Bruno has to look into the future while knowing people can see the worst in his visions. Antonio works with animals so I feel like he'd know about calming others/have the easiest time talking to Bruno post-story, when he's adapting to a non isolated life. And rats.
Abuela
There's some indication that Isa is her favourite (mostly to do with their interaction in the intro song), but I'm on the fence. Isa could be ge favourite because first child. Maybe connection over them not having gifts that are useful in their daily lives? Isa is only good for flowers at a party. But from their interactions overall I didn't get any favouritism, Abuela just gave her attention because of the engagement. She was giving Antonio attention on his ceremony day. So I don't think she has a favourite overall.
I don't think Felix and Augustin have favourites either, or I haven't noticed at least.
