I’m finally diving head in on putting together a character scrapbook out of my campaign notes for Dúo Rong.

Even though it’s a project that I’d started way back in late 2020 when I first got my cricut, I haven’t been seriously keeping up with the project in the way I had intended.

But! I’ve officially broken down the campaign into arcs to make the task more manageable, while also giving myself time to go back & draw little moments that I never got around to. And while I have to resize certain images to fit the 5 x 8 format, I find myself having to add on to a few of them. Which is…interesting 😅 mixing my old & new art styles.

I think I’ll only repost the ones that have large changes to them, but first I’m working my way through the essentials (a fullbody ref & all her character sheet/world info).

But! I can’t wait to share more about this campaign because it is so near & dear to me, & while it’s been really funny sharing them with next to no context, I really can’t shut up about all the subtle nuances these idiots have going for them & their relationships with each other 🤣

Anyways! My prints for Season 1 : Arc 1 arrive in the next few days & I can’t wait to see this come together!

Art Fight prep has got me FURIOUSLY creating art for my lesser drawn OCs and its GREAT.

Ras is just such a fun character and I’d love to get to RP him again sometime! The magic he has now is just a reflection of the power his ancestors had — the star that granted them magic being long dead after all. But the aesthetic of moths being stewards of a decaying light is one that struck me and one that I really want to pursue more.

actually no, you know what? i'm still not off my divine soul sorcerer dark urge bs, here:

Gale sees a goblin sneaking up on Durge a bit too late, only for them to whip around, grab the goblin by the face, and engulf them in necrotic energy. Far too strong for a cantrip. When he asks them about it later, they can only shrug. Another mystery from their past, they suppose.

Back against the wall, Wyll blasts an enemy with eldritch energy, pushing them right into Durges' range. Their attack misses, and suddenly Durge is engulfed in a flurry of movement, like they're repeating the attack backwards. He blinks, and Durge is standing over their foe, teeth bared in a hunter's imitation of a smile. When he thinks on it at camp, he can only shake his head. Some trick of the light. Or Mizora's, most like.

Shadowheart grits her teeth and readies a mass healing word (nothing about this fight has gone their way, but they have to keep pushing). Durge lays a hand on her shoulder, whispers "Let me help you with that," and feels a divine energy surge through her. Not a shadowy stillness, or a comforting glow, but a ravenous ache that demands blood, blood, BLOOD.

The group gets their second wind.
