I know I keep going missing, but that’s sorta the problem with being a disabled artist

What's K.O. CRISIS?

Hey all. Over the past couple months, I've gotten a lot of followers who probably don't know about my OCs and portfolio projects that I'm also working on, so I'm making a quick master-post for it!

K.O. CRISIS is a series of artwork��–character designs, illustrations, sketches, and animations––inspired by late-90s/early-2000s anime and Y2K culture.

Set in an alternate-history Los Angeles in the year 2001, the story follows disabled Taiwanese-American Ashley Tang as she fights her way to the top of the bracket in the national augmented boxing championship.

As the youngest female fighter in the championship, she'll have to fight tooth-and-nail to defend her place amongst the heavy-weights. While her rare dual arm prosthetics help even the playing fields, it'll take more than brute strength to prove her worth.

But this isn't a story about an underdog triumphing against all odds. Throughout the story, Ashley will push herself to the limit for the sake of validating her existence under the grinding heel of the sports media machine, in a world that values disabled bodies more than their lives. As the championship rages on, one question seems to linger through the roar: Is Ash strong enough to win, or is she brave enough to quit?

Through the project, I'm hoping to explore representations of prosthetic-users in pop culture as "enhanced superheroes," as well as discussions of trans-humanism under medical capitalism, the fetishization of new technology, and the commodification of disabled people as entertainment.

Accompanying her journey include characters like Noora Balakrishnan, a local transfem prosthetics engineer who doubles as Ashley's ringside mechanical cutwoman.

The project is still in its early stages, especially since I sorta rebooted it earlier this year (meaning I'm no longer using past, outdated art for the project). If you enjoy it, you can find more artwork for the project under the #ko crisis tag!

Today’s look seemed to be a hit on stream (thank you for all the thirst messages 😂) and I’ve had a LOT of asks about my earrings so here you go.

They were made by Bonniedoes on Insta, another disabled content creator who runs Fantasy Fabrications over on shopify.

She makes a lot of cottage-core/whimsigoth jewelry and clothing. Bonnie also tries to make her stuff as disabled, sensory-friendly and size-inclusive as possible, like her comfy corsets range.

-His artist name is Black Jackson. (BLACKJACKson?? Get it??? He named himself after blackjack kind of???? Ok I’ll see myself out-)

-Because he was born in Manhattan, out of poverty, he never had much, so he’s pretty much the most down to earth celebrity ever(think Adam Sandler kind of? But more fashionable)

-Advocates a lot for people with learning disabilities, and domestic violence victims.

-He mostly writes inside the genres rock and alternative.

-His first big break was with his original album, “feelyng bleu”

-While we’re on that, all of his songs and albums are spelled wrong. At first it was a mistake, but Percy slowly just made it his own thing. Made him feel a lot better about his dyslexia.

- Is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet.

-He’s also a socially awkward, insecure mess though.

- He starts every concert of his off by thanking his Mother, and asking whether “ his audience is ready to fuck themselves up tonight??”

-Has clips of his funny exchanges with interviewers all over YouTube

-Just uses her actual name.

-She doesn’t see the point in trying to make a career under a fake name. Nah. She wants people SCREAMING her name from the audience.

-Contrary to that wish though, she’s not actually famous.

-It’s more like…a hobby she does for fun, but also dreams about turning into a career.

-In reality though, she’s an architecture student who really just needs money to fix the damn sink.

- She actually knew Percy WAY before he became famous, since they were eleven actually.

-Annabeths music is more like…alternative folk.

-She uses all sorts of architecture metaphors and terms in her music.

-She doesn’t sing about buildings though. She talks about all sorts of social class problems she thinks are important. The figurative, poetic architecture language she uses is just her musical signature(and a fun way to be nerdy).

-She has a decent amount of followers.

- Is rather cold when you meet her, but is secretly just a softie.

- Is the artist who makes songs based off books and posts them on TikTok (sorry not sorry)

-His most popular, aka the one that made him famous, was Celine Dion’s “my heart will go on”

-Posts all sorts of TikTok’s of him playing his instruments in random places lmao

-Is the most cottage core hipster to ever cottage core.

- He and Percy are besties! They support each other whenever they can, advertise, do videos, and just chill out and hang.

- They’re such opposites aesthetically though. People were actually so shocked when they first saw them together lmao.

- Whenever Percy uploads a new album or song, he’ll make a cover of it.

-Not only because he loves his best friend, but also because it’s challenging.

-Wears an alarming amount of skirts, and pants that go halfway to his calves.

I'm trying the Magnus Archives. I haven't listened to any, or if I did it was years and years ago.

This is all I know right now:

There are so so many characters. Y'all draw them in a lot of cottage core, librarian core outfits.

I think there's a library.

My DnD DM said there's a web of fears or something. Irrelevant I'm scared of everything.

Hello to those who have found this post or my blog! I’m in the process of re-dying my hair so as it sets I figured this would be a good time to make this post.

Honestly I felt like an attention seeker so I wasn’t sure I’d ever make this so please bear with me a bit!

First a little bout me, well hello my name is Gremlin. I am ftm and xenogender, my pronouns being he/him/xe/xem though I’m comfy with most other neos too! I’m almost 18, though I regress to the age range of 0-2. My regression plays a huge role in my life and impacts my personality, and comforts greatly. I regress mostly involuntarily due to trauma, stress, neurodivergency and mental health issues. I am autistic, have adhd, c-ptsd, ocd, anxiety and depression. These can be crippling but I do my best to cope and create an environment comfy for me. I dream about one day living in an little cottage home, with a reading nook and shelves lined in books, with a nursery/sensory room, garden and cats (I LOVE cats). Photography is my passion and hopefully I’ll have a business one day to celebrate life, nature, different cultures and identities. Thought I am going into school for forensic sciences. I’m a huge weeb. I love dnd and anime and my comfort character is Aizawa Shouta from bnha. I love to read an colour and take naps (I’m always tired and have a bit of a caffeine addiction). I love sea pancakes too! I love stuffies and pacis, cuddles, diapers, bottles and being held or coddled. I’m an easy and sensitive baby so honestly, loyalty and communication is very important to me. I have a very young headspace and it can be very vulnerable and isn’t always pretty. I’m not one for crowds or loud noises and honestly don’t like the sun or outside despite loving being connected to nature. I love the aquarium and books store… but never let me go alone or I buy all the books… I tend to present kinda goth with the occasional pastel but my heart lies in cottage/goblin core.

What I want in friends: Any gender or sexuality (but I’m most comfy with queer folk) and I’d love someone who has stuff in common with me. I love making friends with other neurodivergent people and finding those in the disabled community but they are not requirements. Please be 16 closer to 17+ though no older than 26 (dunno why 26 just brain saying good number??).

What I want in a cg: I have a lean towards masc people but I’m open to anyone. 17-23 only. Someone okay with diapers and baby space, who loves cuddles and will communicate. I have huge abandonment and attachment issues so please keep that in mind as I may be clingy. Please be kind, patient and gentle, don’t yell and check in on me through the day. I’m not great at taking care of myself and I forget stuff a lot.

I typed too much though I’m sure I have more to say later. If you’re interested in being my friend or cg message me here and thank you taking the time to read this. I’ve been feeling very lonely to the post it hurts and makes me sick so I hope to meet some wonderful people.
