writing out digsy’s dinner in a tag and it looks so weird to me it doesn’t register as an oasis song in my head. the song was digsy’s diner my whole life because that’s what it said on the back of my copy of definitely maybe. recently ran into an american interview where noel’s told about the spelling and reacts like oh no that’s supposed to be dinner and a lightbulb went off.
i always thought it was odd for a british band to title a song with diner but never looked up the lyrics. as a consequence i never heard the LAHHH-SAHHHH-NYAHHHH part as ‘lasagna’ the dish and now that’s like a new part of the song for me. funny how that works.

I watched the '94 Glasto set in full for the first time!
Of note:
The crowd is pogoing by the second song. Definitely Maybe hadn't even been released, NO ONE HAD HEARD THE ALBUM, so this is a crowd full of people who have been following the band around the UK to attend live shows.
Tony McCarroll kills it the whole show, total machine
Guig's bass very audible, and very GOOD -- especially during 'I Am the Walrus' !
Liam smokes a cigarette during the guitar solo on 'Supersonic'. Iconic. So cool.
SUPERSONIC, though?! What a track. Definitely the biggest tune of the show.
'Bring It On Down' NASTY AMAZING CHOON
They played 'Digsy's Dinner' but not 'Rock'n'Roll Star' ??? Why??
Noel doesn't have a microphone-- so no backing vocals!! Which is a shame, 'Walrus' especially needed him.
The KIDS in the crowd look like REAL KIDS?! 90s youth culture real as fuck. Like tshirts and jeans. No dolled up 12 year old looking like college students.
Love seeing Noel and Liam walk off stage a full minute before the rest of the band finishes 'I Am the Walrus'. Tony, Guigs, and Bonehead have a little jam sesh (while Noel and Liam hopefully in my dreams have a quick snog backstage)

i wanted to make an oc ask game 😋 things i like to ask people abt their characters:
8. do they have a nickname? who gave it to them? if it's not derived from their real name, what's the story behind it?
so one of elias's old uni friends calls him dixie!! the nickname pipeline was like . his surname is digby -> shorten to digs -> turns to digsy -> turns to dixie.....its really funny to me because elias is quite sarcastic and has a very wry humour + also when we see him get called dixie its through andrews eyes only a little after they met so he still doesnt really like andrew much and therefore andrew knows him as this short grumpy guy who keeps rolling his eyes at him and is a little too cute for his own good. also i need to potentially research what queer stereotypes were like in the 1920s but potentially dixie is also an incredibly gay sounding nickname which . yk. checks out <3
19. are they quick to anger? what sets them off?
elias is pretty blunt and often sarcastic but hes definitely not quick to anger.....i think it would take someone bringing up his family or calling him a fairy (as in the gay slang) or something along those lines. for andrew it would really just be people being rude to/about people he loves; for nora its very similar but with the added stress of being a female mathematician in the 1920s. belittle her and beware tbh

I'm an 19yo college student who completed her gym challenge in her mid teens. I was adopted into a family of scientists as a young child, and I've grown up with a love for Pokemon!
I'm based in Unova, and I currently volunteer at a lab here! I have a massive interest in Pokemon Welfare especially due to Team Plasma. I believe that pokemon in general should not be treated as humans with human thoughts and emotions, but should be treated each as their own species with their own needs. Neither a pidove nor a simisage are a person, and both need to be treated differently!
My current team includes my Meowstic, Lucinda, my Skarmory, Bullet, my Flygon, Digsy, and a Sableye I am babysitting for my older sister, GraveRave. He responds to G-boy.
