I don't really want to speak too much about my religion on here (because you guys followed me for art)
But recently I ordered a Gungnir necklace in honor of Odin and I wasn't expecting to feel so safe when I put it on? Wearing it feels like a warm hug. Like coming home after a long journey. I never want to take it off

But anyway, before I got distracted by my last post.
Hekate.
I wanted to share some things I've learned about Her.
1) She is The Unseen Witness. This is an epithet I personally have given Her, but which derives from Her role as Persephone's savior and guide to and from the underworld.
2) She's pre-Greek. Anatolian, actually. That's how I personally like my deities—from a localized cult but so powerful they got picked up by a nearby pantheon (Diana is another example of this).
3) She's a goddess that was traditionally worshiped not in temples, but at homes. In my personal experience, She has a LOT of presence in apartments and shelters (especially shelters), as they are inherently liminal living situations.
4) She presides over Dogs and Polecats (like a weasel or ferret) and Horses, so I view Her as a goddess with dominion over all domesticated pets.
5) Hekate faces the three directions the roads lead at a Y- or T-junction, so in my personal practice I understand The Horned God to stand at Hekate's back and watch The Wild Way for Her. On my altar I have my representation of The Horned God facing away from me. Hekate did call me a sneak for that one, though, so YMMV.
6) I get the vibe she doesn't like to share altar space so she'll be getting a bookshelf of her own soon. You can use keys, the triple moon, and various momento mori (like bones, or the charm I made with a sprig of dead rosemary and a beetle carcass) to represent her in an altar space.
7) Herbs and Plants: Garlic, Yew, Mandrake, Dandelion, Belladonna, Cyclamen, Hemlock, Mint, Oak, Date Palms, Willow, Wolf's Bane. You'll notice many plants in her domain are poisonous or otherwise baneful. To this extent, she presides over all baneful plants.
8) She basically requires you to prioritize self-improvement and learning. Therapy and working out and reading and journaling can all be devoted to Her.
9) UPG but I also associate Her with mushrooms, moths, foxes, and rose thorns. She is carrion birds and the rust that eats at iron. She is the dark side of the moon and She likes it that way.

Worshipping the Gods is a form of healing and projecting love into the world. And sometimes that projection will hit a mirror and you'll find yourself healing as well.
Certain Gods can provide different forms of healing. Familial relationships can be repaired through Dionysus and Hermes not to mention the creative side of them both. Courage and safety can be found in Ares, and freedom and fun in Dionysus.
Persephone can inspire you to worship the dead and nature. You could start growing plants, or taking care of already grown ones and in that you'll find more doors opening up. Suddenly, thanks to her, you have herbs for spell jars which gives you a sense of reassurance, not to mention your home is flourishing and so are you.
Hades can protect you and your home, and Death, Thanatos, and Anubis can inspire you to honor the dead and even write letters to them.
Apollo can help with cleansing your home, and his aspect of music and healing is wonderful. The sun is our life force, and it should be appreciated more.
All of the gods can inspire you to seek out healing and renewal. They can offer you advice when you're struggling, but they won't hold your hand the whole time. The gods are inspiration for me to heal not only myself but the world as well. Working with them is different for everyone. People will find different versions of healing themselves and the world through worship, but every unique way of worship is exactly what the world needs.
So find healing, have fun, be free, feel safe and courageous. Fight for what's right, tear down what's wrong, and offer your best version of healing to humanity.

Give Dionysus Potatoes
❤️Love❤️ all my Dionysus lovers and fellow practitioners, and honor them as you may with grapes that's awesome...
But grapes are overrated.
Yeah yeah, grapes make wine, prefect, but give this man some hops! Give this intoxicated god some barley, give them sugar cane for their rum! Give them potatoes for their vodka!
Give Dionysus a bit of coke for a mixer, a bottle opener in his name.

locing my hair as a black witch was vital to my spiritual journey.
being able to maintain the balance, health, growth, and lusciousness of my crown feels so much like i’m truly one with the earth.
i’m now trying to include intentions in my hair care with hair growth spells while i spray it with rose water.
fridays which are represented with the planet venus, along with Aphrodite symbolizing self care, i’m going to start offering a care 444 crown treatment which is a spiritual smoke cleanse, a scalp massage, and a crystal charge activation to the crown.
locs are truly, truly beautiful
blessed be <3

On Low Effort Offerings:
Low effort offerings can be great, but in my opinion they can’t be your only offerings. I see these posting going around, talking about how the gods and spirits and ancestors will love whatever you can give them, and they will, up to a point. Take me for instance - I just had COVID, you can bet your ass that in the worst of it my gods just got a cup of the same tea that I was drinking, and a promise of something more substantial when I was better.
But imagine this: You are in a relationship with someone, either a romantic or platonic relationship, it doesn’t matter, and it seems like they never put any effort into the relationship. Every hangout/date is the equivalent of Netflix and chill. That may be okay, maybe you’re a homebody and don’t want to go out. But in addition to that every meal is take out fast food, they never take you to a nice restraint or ever make you a home cooked meal. On top of that every gift giving occasion is met with a drug store card. Not even a nice home made card. Eventually you would start to feel unappreciated. Our entities can eventually feel unappreciated too, if we constantly ask for their help, or blessing, or guidance, and all they get is our “self care” or the occasional glass of water or tea.
It’s one thing to dial back effort to when we’re ill, or going through a difficult time. But consistent lack of effort can make the people and entities in our lives feel taken for granted and unappreciated. Now I’m sure that these posts on “low effort offerings” aren’t trying to say that the offerings they’re suggesting should be used all of the time, but I rarely see them discuss the fact that low effort should be the exception, not the rule. As always balance and communication is the key.

Fair Theoi, I thank you for providing me with objects that I may devote to your glory and light! May I continue to observe Your signs and presence so I may better worship You, in all of Your entirety! You are the light each morning and night, my Gods. You are the wind and sky, the earth which makes these objects. Khaire Fair Theoi! Long live The Gods!

Does anyone know if this is a sign?
Long story short, I have a relativity unusual name. Not crazy unique but I've probably only met 3 other people in my whole 27 years that have the same name. In the past few months I am now seeing my name EVERYWHERE. Almost every day I am seeing or hearing my name on social media, on the radio, on tv. And obviously it's not myself that's being mentioned.
I've only recently started my witchcraft journey and I'm wondering if this is a sign of some kind. Is a diety reaching out to me and I just don't know who? Its wigging me out at this point, to be honest.
