Worst part about meeting new people, especially if they're the ones who came up to you, is telling stuff about yourself. "What's your name?" "What's your age?"

And then I'll have to figure out, which info do I give out. Do i make shit up??? Do I say stuff about myself?? OR DO I TELL STUFF ABOUT OUR HOST INSTEAD??? Dear god!

DO and DON'T about somebody with any kind of DID or OSDD

✅ask about pronound

✅ask if person want to make phisical contact

✅respect boundaries

✅wait if alter is rude or harmful for u. They will leave and another alter will get to front

✅be patient with littles and and animal-acting alters. It is hard and boring sometimes, but it happend

❌try to switch alter for somebody who you need

❌ask to switch

❌trigger person to see a flashback. It's painful

❌say that an alter is evil, even if another alter said that. Sometimes alters are really evil, but most of the time they just need some care

❌ask about trauma. If person wants, they will tell you about that.

❌try to be persons psycotherapist. It's not your job, and you can cause harm

Watching a headmate change in such a heartbreaking way

Getting personal here , Jasper has gone from being the centre of a lot of positive romantic feelings and platonic / queerplatonic joy to ... Just pain and grief

There's no cause other than our trauma and discovering certain aspects of our childhood

And watching the shift from a long list of likes to "Idk anymore" and the sudden emptiness and darkness of moon's subsystem...

Not everything about DID is happy. It's not just "haha i have a friend in my head". There is pain and grief in this disorder some people can never truly grasp
