OH MY GOD the fucking tumblr blackout wasnt intentionally scheduled for diability pride month yall are so fucking stupid. it was supposed to be 2 days; the last day of june and the first of july. the point was that it was during both pride and disability pride because idk both communities are important or something. AFTER that they said that it may be better to do a longer blackout and just kept the original start date

Urgent Help Needed
I am a black & mexican, neurodivergent trans non-binary person.
I was homeless for a while and now I am staying in a broken down house where there is no hot water for me to shower, no easily accesible bathroom, and no a/c. It is still horribly hot where I live. Because of my disability, I already overheat often, and the heat in the house has been extreme. I have not been able to sleep from the heat, and I've been working doubles and the lack of sleep and the exhaustion from the overheating itself has worn me down both mentally and physically. The other occupants in the house do not care that it's not livable there, and there is open hostility. I don't want to provide too many details, but this living situation is extremely toxic and bad for my mental and physical health to an extent that I struggle putting into words.
On top of this I have worked doubles every day for a week now, and will be working doubles for another week.
I have been approved for an apartment and my coworker and I can move in soon, but I still need the money for the first two months rent, the deposit and various fees.
I also have also been struggling with a flare up of HS (hidradentitis suppurativa) and I need medical supplies. The welts and bumps caused by the flare are out of control. They're extremely painful and itchy, and they leak pus, blood, and plasma constantly. They're also now infected and that can lead to the need for amputation, or death. I am also diabetic and haven't been able to afford the insulin I need. I can only afford the smallest vial every 2-3 weeks.
Because of all of this, I am asking for help funding my move out of this hellhole, and also getting a hotel for a night so I can actually rest on my day off. Please, the exhaustion is terrible, and worsening my health. This is not a house anyone should be living in.
I need help desperately and d*nations and reblogs just haven't been happening despite my trying as hard as I possibly can. Even $1 helps, and just reblogs help too.

Disability is complicated because while there are certain commonlynl shared experiences in the disability community, there is also no completely singular, universal "disability experience," either. Different types of disabilities come with different experiences, to the point that people with different disabilities can perpetuate stereotypes and microaggressions against one another, even unintentionally. Our understanding of each other's experiences can be guided by misrepresentation more than reality. Sometimes people can have multiple disabilities, putting them at the intersection of multiple experiences. Some people embrace the term disabled. Other people prefer different takes, like diverse ability or differently abled. Meanwhile, some people find these terms offensive. Someone's race, socioeconomic status, gender, sexuality, and the location that they live (locally and/or globally) can impact how they experience disability.
I don't really know where I'm going with this other than just a general reminder. We have so much to learn from one another in this community, so much space to grow.

Honestly, autistic people with intellectual disabilities don’t get shouted out enough.
You don’t need to have a certain IQ to be a worthwhile person.
You don’t need to be “smart” to be a worthwhile person.
Your joy, your kindness, your exuberance, and your passion are all amazing gifts that don’t need to be accompanied by any intelligence marker in order to count.
I see your art, your photography, the video game worlds that you create- you name it, and I think that it’s wonderful.
Even when words are hard both offline and online, autistic people with intellectual disabilities belong in our community, full stop.
I see a lot of posts by and for autistic people that aim to make the autistic community more palatable for allistics/neurotypicals that sum up to “We may have different needs, but we’re as smart and as functional as neurotypical allistics!” and that’s great and very true for many of us, but it also does a big disservice to many in our community for nobody to ever recognize our intellectually disabled/“high needs” friends.

do you ever wonder how many people who got sucked into narc abuse communities who were raised by "narcissistic" (abusive/toxic) parents actually have npd? npd is literally a trauma disorder 99% of the time, theres an extremely likely chance some of these people have npd but have been convinced they couldnt possibly because "if you think youre a narcissist, thats proof you arent." and obviously having npd/being a narcissist is a death sentence that means youre abusive /s. feels kinda anti-recovery ngl. 💀
