im jared kleinman from dear evan hansen and im looking for.. anyone really, but especially evan, my mom and brother and foster sister, and alana. (ive already found my zoe). if any of this sounds familiar plsplspls tell me

i was amab and nonbinary (he&ae pronouns), and i did theatre. i was also pretty short. i had autism(and/or adhd?) + auditory processing issues, as well as trauma & depression/anxiety. i was also in a wheelchair for a lot of 10th grade if that helps? idk.

evan- we were in love. we met around age 8 and i was.. so deeply in love with u by the time we were in 7th grade. after everything that happened i went thru quite a bit of trauma but once i was stable and we were able to talk to each other again we got together. i remember u loved bees and lemonade.

what are your opinions on the DEH ships? (treebros/convan, conguel, kleinsen, galaxygals/zolana, bandtrees/zoevan, kleinphy, etc! any/all you feel like talking about :P)

oo good question okay this might be sorta long idk yet ig we'll see lol (not ordered):

treebros: I don't really like treebros. I mean it's not necessarily bad, but since it's the biggest ship next to zoe and evan it's feels sorta watered down (if that makes sense). also I feel like connor and evan would only be friends because of their dynamic. but again, it's not a bad ship, so overall a 6.5/10

conguel (which I call hawaiian pizza bagels apparently): definitely my favourite like.. canon ship. higher up the list yk? yeah the two of them had their moments but they were just trying to get through life- they're definitely more fit for each other unlike treebros. 8/10 cause it's a ship that makes sense and is underrated

kleinsen: I mean.. it's kleinsen. I like kleinsen but It could go 50/50 depending how you look at it. I don't know if they would be the best or worst couple ever, it's complicated. I see why people ship it cause I'm a sarcastic lil shit so I see the standpoint here but it's questionable too. 7.2/10 for the effort and also because it's the ship I have the most headcanons for

bandtrees/zoevan: nope. its a no from me. I dont like this one. I mean it makes sense why people ship them but in the context of the show, it's a pretty toxic relationship. I think if evan was dating zoe legitimately unlike the connor stuff in the show, they could totally work out... but here we are. 3/10 because the events from deh not happening gives it redeeming points

galaxygals/zolana: I haven't really dabbled into this one, so can't give you much here, BUT I think there's a high high possibility for them two working out, especially after the events of the connor project. I like the idea and I'm for it. 7/10.

kleinphy: only a no because I feel like they would be at each other's throats or dead if they were dating. BUT I do think they could work better than treebros. their love language is straight up bullying each other. 6/10

idk what else there is so take these last two you didn't mention:

kleinguel: it's an interesting concept for sure. its a maybe, but since they have no dynamic at all, they haven't even met, and we don't know a lot about either character theres not much I can say. But and interesting ship nonetheless.. so I'm split 5/10

...zoe and connor: I DIDNT KNOW PEOPLE WERE WEIRD LIKE THAT. THEY ARE SIBLINGS. I SAW ONE TIKTOK ONCE AND NOW I'M FLINGING OFF THE WALLS. -1000000000/10, ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Favorite Thing About Them

I appreciate that she is a very resentful character. Zoe not wanting to view Connor as a good person because she was wronged feels so cool to me. She isn’t wrong, Connor likely abused her and she shouldn’t have to miss him because of societal expectations. Love her. Best girl.

Least Favorite Thing About Them

I think Zoe (especially in fannon) is played a bit too dumb. Given her reactions to Evan in early act one I don’t think she would ever actually fall for Evan. I really don’t like the you made my brother a good person now kiss me thing she has going on. I feel like she wouldn’t do that if she was a real person. I know she’s like 16 but…she clearly didn’t like Evan up until the end of YWBF. She rejected him after IICTH, she didn’t sing in Disappear, and I know she’s supposed to have her moment of acceptance that Connor “was a good person” in YWBF but it feels kind of forced. She’s smarter than to believe the lies imo and the fandom really ran with the idea of her being easily manipulated for quite a while

Unpopular Opinion

They shouldn’t have written out Zoe’s best friend character that was in the original draft of the show. Yes this is because the best friend was named Becca. But also Zoe needed a teen to bounce off of that wasn’t Evan because she never interacts with Alana or Jared. She’s isolated for the most part and would have been a stronger character if she had a friend in her corner. Her only “friend” we see in the show is her mom

(Friendly reminder that Zoe has a friend named Bea in the book (I think that’s the name it’s been a hot minute since I read the book—either way she has an actual friend with a name) and I hc them as enby)

Okay I know she can already drive in all forms of canon media but drivers license feels like something she would listen to on loop after breaking up with Evan

I would say traitor instead of drivers license but Zoe knows that Evan didn’t originally have ill intent nor did he ever cheat on her so just a sad song to cry along to because she used to drive him around feels right.

20. part of canon you found tedious or boring

oo very head scratching ones u picked … deh feels like such a Fast show to me w fairly decent pacing tbh there aren’t really any moments that drag (in a boring way at least) Plot wise imo but Depending on who the actors are, i feel like some of the heidi scenes that aren’t pre-gfy or “i don’t think i want you going to jared’s”/“im your MOTHER im your mother” can drag if the energy is slightly off, same with like the murphy parents re: the cynthia/zoe snippet and tbiag. i wouldn’t call the moment before ywbf when evan is on the ground after he dropped his flashcards boring but like. for example the last evan i saw (i cannot remember his name :( he was the most recent tour evan!) and taylor trensch evan made me Very uneasy when they were having their Floor Moment which i guess one might perceive as tedious. tedious in the sense that i took a lot more psychic damage from an emotion that wasn’t empathy or secondhand embarrassment. hopefully any of this makes sense skslfnsmf

probably just the little lines/gestures that are Not meant to be looked at a ton lol. the fact that each evan has their own dumb little quirk during if i could tell her after zoe says “he did??” the jared grabbing his shoulder moment during ywbf “i believe sulu is a character from star trek” etc etc 😭 i also had a specific attachment to the heidi evan pre-gfy fight to the point that i memorized all of it a couple years ago all the way down to the rachel bay jones inflections so i could torment my partner and friends by saying all the lines to them at .25x speed (i still do this from time to time bc im riddled w mental illness<3)

My Playchoices MCs #4

It Lives is an amazing book and the MC is an absolute legend. I haven’t changes much about their looks, only removed the bangs and gave them a piercing. I have a ton of headcanons about them though so see the notes under the cut.

I really hope I didn’t mess up with the name. From what I gathered, De is usually masculine, but I think it could work as a unisex name too. It’s supposed to be pronounced like Deh, but their non-Vietnamese friends call them Dee.

Her parents moved to the US from Vietnam when De was a baby. They work for some big humanitarian non-profit, and their job entails a lot of lengthy trips around the world. They are good people, but they kind of have their heads in the clouds a little. Like yeah, let's leave our underage kid alone in the country for weeks, she'll be fine.

Lucky for them, De is actually very well adjusted, although it might not seem like that from the outside. Best way to describe their routine is controlled chaos. You won’t catch them dead following any kind of daily schedules, and their friends give them shit for never eating 3 meals a day. But they not at all irresponsible, they just know what works for them, and they never cross the line.

Neurodivergent, it just makes so much sense in my head that they have ASD.

Loves really long hikes, would often just grab a tent and a sleeping bag and leave for the weekends. Bonus points if there is a cliff she can climb because she’s kind of an adrenaline junkie when it comes to sports. Her parents have no idea about these little adventures and they’d probably loose their mind if they did.

In school, they were the kind of student who mostly gets Cs, but then there are a few subjects they actually like, and they completely dominate those. In De’s case, those subjects were math and physics. Despite their shitty grades, they managed to brute force her way into a decent college. Plans to go into quantum physics. They actually have theories about how the power fits into it, but once they starts rambling about those, only Tom has any idea about wtf De’s saying. The two of them kind of geek out about it a little sometimes.

Came out as nonbinary after the events of the ILITW book (yeah, this is my explanation as to why she uses she/her pronouns in book 1). In their case, they don't really feel like any gender in particular, so they go by any pronouns. Mostly they/them among friends, except Andy who leans towards he/him and uses every chance to call De his bro/dude etc. (he's just really excited to have a trans friend, and De thinks it's cute).

They’re a very physical person. They like making stuff with their hands and they often show affection through touch.

De’s very protective of her friends. Her worst nightmare is being unable to help them. She’d rather spend 4 years trying to literally bring Noah back from the dead than admit that she can’t help him.

In my original playthrough, De’s love interest was Lucas and I still love him a lot, but ILW converted me into a Dan stan. So in my ‘canon’ ILITW playthrough De is single, and they only start dating Dan during the events of ILW. This pairing just makes so much sense to me, they are both sensitive, reliable and protective. Even the fact that it takes them years to get together seems very in character, they are both always too busy taking care of other people to fix their own lives.

Miguel almost killing Spider Zoey for hacking his watch to set everyone’s morning alarm or the Spider Society’s HQ PA system to be the base boosted version of “Scotland the Brave”

After a bad fight and Spider Zoey leaves the room in tears, Miguel acts as if it didn’t effect him when in reality, Lyla knows he felt horrible making her cry

He won’t realize just how much he loved Spider Zoey until the two of them get into a bad fight with an anomaly and he yelled at her for putting herself in danger like that

“Why deh fuck d’you bloody care abou’ me all ova sudden?!”

“Because I’m in love with you, maldito idiota!”

like it was crazyyy i had ppl in my askbox every day over deh discourse being like “actually screaming at people and kicking down their door and saying youre going to kill them isn’t abuse you just hate mentally ill people” & “well he said she made it all up so obviously it wasnt true” & “well she deserved it bc she called him a psychopath once” & “he couldn’t have been abusive he’s canonically mentally ill”. like first of all u are so fucking stupid . also when i was in an abusive relationship (with a mentally ill person) after like a year of That youll NEVER guess what my instincts were abt it Hint it Wasnt “abuse is bad even if the abuser is mentally ill”……….. And like being told that every day During the relationship 💀… well u can imagine it affected the way i rationalized stuff & u can imagine how personal the Discourse was (<- not that it wasnt already incredibly personal already) after that……… & like yeah i absolutely seeked out arguments sometimes (i was mentally ill i couldnt help it 🙄🙄🙄 /s) but a lot of the time ppl would just. haha that originally happened over three years ago at this point but yep pretty much just that

or the specifics for me were: distantly & occasionally pick up some info about deh during its first couple of years on bway, eventually actively look into a little more, immediately get the idea that jared kleinman is a character i'd latch on to, start focusing on that angle, and end up watching deh in the context of [the full canon jared kleinman lore (bway) experience] lol, and by which point i was already aware i also like his obc actor's je ne sais quoi: the autumn of 2018 period. for the next month or so i'm steeped in that jared / kleinsen lore, i.e. deh, & certainly paying attention to some more general [will roland doing something] material along the way. right around december 2018 i do a figurative spit take b/c i'd realized he was in bmc (which i didn't know too much about) w/that upcoming bway production but i only just properly learned he is The Main Character, so i dived into that asap too, in time for the [bway bmc engagement is approaching] events of the next few months. on march 21, 2019, i happen to decide to see how much i can find abt each of the several & niche imdb listings of will roland's, in order, b/c i like niche things & sometimes even like to dig into things low stakes like that b/c i was expecting this to end up like fun trivia. naturally his billions appearances were last on the list, so i got around to those last, which were episodes 3x03, 3x09, and 3x11 at that time. they were already surprisingly fun to me when like all of twenty seconds into the first scene in kompenso 3x11 it was so so so good i was flipping out and immediately interrupted my own ongoing conversation w/friend and scholar @nothingunrealistic to relay the urgent facts

this also happened to be like, all of maybe ten days before his next billions appearance was already scheduled, so that was very convenient, because while [we are still thinking and talking about billions every day years later] was maybe not immediately obvious, the fact it was Excellent and Impactful was, and it only gained increasing traction w/us from that initial day of going ham about it. i think it's safe to say the akd appreciation was also immediate, b/c These Two Actors' Energy And Rapport Playing Off Of Each Other In This Performance was obviously essential vs just "oh will roland's doing a great job" (which he is) and calling it a day from there, the winnie n tay dynamic was the hook line & sinker there, so how to not immediately appreciate tay and Their actor as well. it is also immediately epic of them to be nonbinary.

naturally just as the [being on one re billions for years and counting] has been a collaborative experience, soph nothingunrealistic has been the full time pro re: being taylor mason the character and akd the actor's number one appreciator and expert, which makes them the most important billions viewer ever, and in turn they're the one who's gone and made research forays into akd's nicher roles and passed along info to me, same as passing along info from their research forays into billions stuff as [extended taylor mason lore] lmao so full circle from [deh is like extended jared kleinman lore to me] truly. i am and have been glad to reap those benefits.

the other week i felt like watching an extracurricular bmc interview video and chase brock the choreographer being there reminded me about choreographical direction he gave to asia as lucifer in "the mysteries" about ways to perhaps writhe like an earthworm. i knew of this production / role / trivia fact thanks to soph and decided to do some more research in the passion of the "oh to know more about asia kate dillon as lucifer writhing and joking and seducing and entwining and doing anything else in that production in general" moment. it was a tangent to want to also do some more digging trying to find more pictures of them as blade gunnblade, a role i also know exists thanks to soph doing the research and passing it along to me, to not only the general interest of [any acting they do] but also "oh i Love their outfit and they are so cool and i'm looking directly at them" effect, not unlike lucifer in the mysteries, i.e. this seems like one of the especially sexy roles, like their being the adjudicator in jw3. i remember that being on tv anew a couple of years ago and my being sooo hype like catching first glimpses of their scenes and badly filming them spontaneously with my phone to pass along to soph and any other akd scholars via twitter videos while i had to talk over it slightly in my enthusiasm, true to life, b/c it Was life. and also b/c i was determined to eventually make an unlisted youtube compilation of their scenes properly anyways (which i did)

anyways Yeah lol this has been going on for a hot minute now and i hope everyone's enjoying what just so happens to be a spontaneous event diving further into Lucifer "The Mysteries" and Blade Gunnblade lore. like holy shit have you SEEN the greyscale eleven second video i posted. lifechanging. and that i have to give credit to soph nothingunrealistic for the group project element that has been the [billions] and [asia kate dillon] parts of the experience especially, i presumably would not be pacing around this house at 5am the other night b/c of sexy blade gunnblade discoveries without them. teamwork

Denki held back Iwabe's anger while grimacing. "Patience, Iwabe-kun. There's nothing wrong with helping a friend yourself. Ne, Boruto-kun?"

Initially, Inojin called for an invitation to play the latest game at his house while eating snacks made by his mother, Yamanaka Ino. Instead of playing, they were stuck helping Inojin who was cleaning the flower shop. Chocho still eats the chips. Boruto walked over to say hello to Sarada. One hand raised. At that moment Sarada took a step back.

"Huh?" Boruto touched his forehead. There was a strange swish in his chest that felt warm. "What does it mean?"

Sarada smiled then pinched her homemade chocolate cake in Boruto's hands. And fed it into the young man's mouth.

"Good," said Boruto.

"Sungguh?"

"This is the best chocolate I've had tonight."

Nothing makes Sarada happier tonight, than Boruto loves her chocolate cake. Sarada is very grateful. And when Boruto ate the second mouthful of his own hand, the fireworks ignited again and exploded beautifully in the air. Emits beautiful colours.

Like Sarada and Boruto's mood all this time. There are many colors. And want to guess until the end what it will be like. Let it be like that. They will continue to support each other as teammates. And will continue to protect each other and trust. Although sometimes love comes, they can only guess. Was the path they chose the right one? Will another love come to them?

Currently they are still small. They just want to be good friends. And go on missions and adventures together. That was enough for Boruto and Sarada.

Boruto whispered in Sarada's ear. "You know what? The red rose represents what?"

Sarada shook her head, pretending not to know. "No. What is it?"

Boruto pinched one of Sarada's cheeks in exasperation. He's been wanting to do that ever since.

"The red rose symbolizes dattebasa's love!"

"Then you gave it to me?"

Boruto pinched Sarada's other cheek again.

"If I give it to you, it means I love you, Uchiha Sarada."

"Eh?!"

sone facts abt me that might help: i was amab and nonbinary (he&ae pronouns), i was kin with peter parker, and i did theatre. i was also pretty short. i had autism(and/or adhd?) + auditory processing issues, as well as trauma & depression/anxiety. i was also in a wheelchair for a lot of 10th grade if that helps? idk.

evan- we were in love. we met around age 8 and i was.. so deeply in love with you by the time we were in 7th grade. after everything that happened i went thru quite a bit of trauma but once i was stable and we were able to talk to each other again we got together. i remember u loved bees and lemonade.

my mom - april kleinman. i miss you mom. i know when i was growing up u werent the best but you made steps to change after i came out as gay and later as nonbinary. i think u taught me sign language when issac was young but i had to relearn later.

my foster sister - your name was olivia, and u were 9 when i was 18. thats when our mother began fostering u. i dont remember much, but i remember wishing id been able 2 be there for u more.

alana - in all honesty i dont have very many memories, but i do remember that we were close- not as close as evan and i or zoe and i, but close. definite mlm/wlw solidarity <3
