I have always admired myths. Every nation's myths feature death in some way. I was also enchanted by the latest Puss in Boots movie. The character of Death was very scary. It was a perfect portrayal! So... I started searching and found Morrigan, a Celtic goddess who soars over battlefields in the form of a crow. I drew a little Lobo with a crow named Morrigan. Lobo: They'll fear me Morrigan: Of course they will Lobo: YOU SHOULD SUPPORT ME! Morrigan: But you're the Death! #wolf #lobo #deat #pussinboots #pussinbootsthelastwish #thelastwish #bigbadwolf #mythology #reaper #grimreaper #crow #furbaby #digitalart #digitalartist #dreamworks #dreamworksanimation #morrigan #goddess #celtics #artistoninstagram #illustration #illustrationartists #procreate #dreamworksfanart #riellesarts #procreateart #character #characterart #art #myart https://www.instagram.com/p/CoQNF79Klth/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

by Dr. Jeanne Sheffield Estrada
Nothing in life can prepare us for the death of a loved one, whether it be a sudden accident or a long illness — it always catches us off-guard. Death is so deeply personal and stunningly final that nothing can emotionally prepare us for its arrival. With every death there is a loss, and with that loss comes Grief.
Grief doesn’t come and go in an orderly, confined timeframe, and when it comes how do we bare it? We hope to move past it quickly – be it a few days or weeks - but there is often a struggle between coming to grips and confronting our grief.
Grief, however, is a necessary part of our healing, but just as when facing any time of crisis in life, it is always helpful to draw close to God and use the wisdom of the Bible as the essential balm to aid in our healing and help us through any crisis.
Feel free to grieve, because it is part of the process God uses to bring us to a place of wholeness — but remember this...
Our God is a healer and restorer of hearts and souls and he has given us spiritual balms to complete healing and return to wholeness in and through the Word of God.
To work through your loss and grief, apply these powerful promises of scripture:
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
Friend, God desires to heal your broken heart, “So cast all your cares upon him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Gabriel was a mess, that much was obvious and he was a bit pissed off at himself for how easily he was allowing himself to fall apart. He hadn't spoken to Josh since that morning, and usually, that would be fine, that was before everyone started killing people. Bodies were found on the street, his phone kept going off with a new victim every hour it seemed and he didn't know what to do.
As he was heading towards Josh's place, he noticed someone on the sidewalk, about to cross the street and he knew exactly who that was. "Oh thank god." He mumbled as he ran over to the other, pulling him into his arms without a second thought. "you scared the shit out of me, you know that?"

Good Morning, all,
Keeping with the theme of my most recent interview with Dr. Jan Peppler, this month's newsletter explores the myriad meanings of home, from place to body to another person.
>>> Here's an excerpt:
🌻Finding Home, a Journey Back to Myself 🌻
"One year ago today, my Godmother left her body and went home. When I got the call from her caregivers, it occurred to me that I wanted to honor her transition from life to life-after-death with a ritual. Immediately, I had the idea to decorate her body with flowers.
But, which flowers would she want me to use for this ritual? Believing that she could hear me across the veil, I asked her, “What color flower would you like me to use?” “Yellow!” I heard her exclaim with glee. Her answer caught me by surprise; I thought for certain my Godmother would have preferred purple flowers—after all, historically, purple is the color of royalty— and she was nothing less than royalty!"
>>> Check it out and let me know what home means to you!
>>> Don't forget to sign-up for the newsletter so you can stay up-to-date with the latest Goddess-themed interviews, News, and Special Features, and more!

Death, departure, loss,
how can this be part of life,
they are awful storms
like the swirl on Jupiter
their permanence a great sore.

Death is perhaps kinder
She was walking down the road, tears streaming down her face. Heartbreak was what they called it, death was what she did. He did go away, he left her, but took away her heart with him unknowingly, and now she was just a mush of nothingness. She felt dead inside .And even in the dark night, the cold didn't bother, nor did the darkness that existed due to the absence of the moon in the sky. Was nature trying to tell her something, to taunt her further? The person she called her moon now was nothing but darkness, invisible to the naked eye.
Her mind raced with all kinds of thoughts, walking silently, her heart numb. And so devasted she was that she didn't notice the quickly approaching vehicle in the dark. The driver did apply the breaks, but alas, it was too late. A ringing sound went through her ears and then blank, she felt her eyelids close and everything go silent.
He had left out in his search for her after she had left his house, crying. Her phone was switched off and he didn't know how to contact her. So, hoping she had not gone far, he too stepped out in the snowy night, without a jacket, desperate to find his darling, desperate to apologize to her.
His head overflowed with all kinds of thoughts, his heart sinking into a pool of regret as he looked for her. And in the same state did he find her, a few steps ahead of him. A small subconscious smile appeared on his face, and the first syllable of her name had just left his lips in a soft tone when suddenly, his whole world stopped.
He couldn't believe what had happened, she had just been hit. He fell to his knees, shocked, with no idea what was happening. People gathered around her,  trying to get her some help, trying to see what had happened, while some whispered that she had surely died.
And then it hit him, and the tears that left his own eyes were painful, as his screams tore through the silent, dark, cold winter night. It was as if even the winds felt his pain, for they stopped blowing for a moment. And now imagine the horror of a person who lost the love of his life in minutes.
She died thinking he probably hated her, and he saw her die thinking that she probably hated him. Both loved one another, what did they get? A sad ending to a happy story. And now he had to live with the guilt and sadness forever, with just the memories of having loved her.
And that's why they say, love and death can often be mistaken as the same, but death is perhaps kinder.
