[hammockband] Hammock sent over a few songs and gave me the option to choose. That speaks volumes to their collaborative nature (which has never wavered). The ending of “Breathturn” floored me with its emotional punch, so I worked backwards from there.

When we shot this video, we were all relatively new to the process of filmmaking... there was an energy of potential in the air. The cinematographer, @larksss, has since gone on to shoot movies like Swiss Army Man and Luce (as well as Childish Gambino's "This is America"). I remember he slept in on the second day of the shoot and we had to call his roommate to wake him up (in all seriousness, no one is more dedicated to their craft than Larkin). The two producers, @jessefleece and @rossgirard, are highly successful in their respective fields as well. I can't forget to mention the production designer, @ethanethanethan, who may be the biggest unsung hero of them all. @3amlosangeles, the star of the piece, is now 18. - @davidaltobelli

Short film, directed by David Altobelli and created forChipotle's campaign supporting small-scale agriculture. It's called "Abandoned", and featuresYeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O's rendition of "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys", a song first recorded by Ed Bruce in 1975 and made popular by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings in 1978.

The song and short film come as part of Chipotle's annual Halloween fundraiser Boorito, which benefits the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation and Farm Aid's efforts to protect family farmers from the negative effects of industrialized farming.
