Hi everyone I brought cookies-

Anywho, I suppose some background info LOL.

Dark Cacao and Pure Vanilla are not married YET…they do know of each other’s existence (they’ve gone on date)

Pure Vanilla is the principal of the Highschool (I literally stole the Parfaedia Institute name for it, don’t judge me, and also don’t ask me for the college name I also don’t know)

Meanwhile, Dark Cacao works as a chef during the day, and a bartender at night. Yes he has two jobs, don’t come at me.

Dark Choco, Peppermint Bark and Knight all attend the Highschool, while Caramel Arrow, Crunchy Chip and Clotted Cream go to the College

Custard goes to whatever elementary school I make up-

Holiday Dash part 4

Party time! (Sorry for the long read. I may have overdone it.)

*The scene picks up two days later at the winter party. Everyone there was enjoying the festivities. Madeleine, Espresso, Latte, and Almond were talking about the Parfaedia Institute. The kids were playing close to the windows. The Madeleine sisters, Sablé, and Dark Cacao talked about their favorite sweets. Financier, Pastry, Black Raisin, and Whipped Cream were admiring the lights in the ballroom. Herb, Clover, Knight, Clotted Cream, and Wildberry were watching the Hollyberry family have a contest to see who could balance on the barrel the longest. Pure Vanilla, White Lily, Vanilla Sugar, Custard, and Light Cream were telling Cream Scone all the adventures the families had been through. Dark Choco and Red Velvet stood near the tree, admiring it.*

Dark Choco: I never thought...a tree could be this bright.

Red Velvet: Yeah. Dark mom always had a weird tree for the Winter Solstice. But it always looked like it was about fall apart.

Dark Choco: Yes. But at least she tries. *pauses* How has she been?

Red Velvet: The same. But at least she's not causing chaos. How are things with you and your father?

Dark Choco: It's fine. We've been getting better. There are still a few awkward moments but I know we're both trying. And it's all thanks to you.

Red Velvet: Huh?

Dark Choco: If you didn't go looking for me, I wouldn't have had a chance to be with my family again. Or even be with my friends.

Red Velvet: *smiles* No problem. Speaking of family, is there something going on between Dark Cacao and Sablé?

Dark Choco: Well...let's just say...the Dark Cacao Kingdom might be getting a queen soon.

*Red Velvet smiled and was about to say something when he noticed out of the corner of his eyes. Madeleine and Espresso were walking out to the garden while Wildberry and Clotted Cream walked out to the other room. Dark Choco noticed this too.*

Dark Choco: What's wrong?

Red Velvet: I...*realizes what's going on.* Those two sly bastards. Want to help me embarrass them?

Dark Choco: *narrows his eye* What are you planning?

*Meanwhile, Madeleine and Espresso were walking through the outdoor garden. As they walked, Madeleine pulled Espresso close to keep him warm.*

Madeleine: It's very lovely tonight.

Espresso: Yes. The moon is shining bright now. Moonlight Cookie is doing a wonderful job.

Madeleine: Yes. Very good job. *looks absently at Espresso.*

Espresso: *stops walking* Alright. What's wrong?

Madeleine: *startled* W-What? What are you talking about?

Espresso: You've been acting off for the past few days. You usually talk on and on as well as shower me with more affection than I could handle. So what is going on?

Madeleine: I...um...I...

Espresso: Well?

Madeleine: *takes a deep breath and faces Espresso.* I...You know that I love you, right?

Espresso: Yes.

Madeleine: And these past five years were wonderful. Right?

Espresso: Yes. I know this.

Madeleine: And you've talked about living in the Vanilla Kingdom once you retired-

Espresso: Madeleine. Are you still worried about taking over the Vanilla Kingdom? I told you that I would be by your side when the day comes.

Madeleine: But you didn't tell me what you would be to me.

Espresso: What?

Madeleine: Espresso...I don't think I could find a better Cookie to be by my side, especially these past two years. And I think you should be treated as such. *grabs Espresso's hand and kneels to one knee. Espresso's eyes widen.* I know I'm not a perfect Cookie, but I hope I'm perfect enough for you. So Espresso Cookie of the Créme Republic, *pulls out a small black box and opened it to reveal a golden ring with a black gem. This caused Espresso to cover his mouth.* will you do me the honor and be my husband?

*Espresso stood there, shocked. This caused Madeleine to start freaking out.)

Madeleine: (Did I do this too soon?! Maybe I shouldn't have done this during the winter. Maybe this wasn't romantic enough. Should I have done this at the diner?! Maybe-)

*Espresso hugged Madeleine, causing both of them to fall back. Madeleine wasn't sure what was going on. It wasn't until he felt Espresso quivering.*

Madeleine: Ah! Espresso! Are you-!

Espresso: Yes.

Madeleine: Huh?

Espresso: *lifts himself enough for Madeleine to see tears threaten to fall* I said yes, you fool. I'll marry you. I'll be by your side until the end.

*Madeleine smiled and pulled Espresso into a kiss.*

*Meanwhile, standing at the balcony that faces the garden. The Pure Lily family, the Madeleine sisters, Herb, the Hollyberry family, Pastry, Latte, and Vanilla Sugar. It wasn't long until the Madeleine sisters started cheering. This startled Madeleine and Espresso, causing them to look up at the balcony.*

Lemon Madeleine: Oh my Divine Light!!

Lime Madeleine: Such a beautiful moment!

Orange Madeleine: We must celebrate!

Latte: I agree! And we can plan the wedding too! I know the perfect place!

Red Velvet: That would be a great idea! And we do have a Cookie here *gestures at Pure Vanilla* who can do weddings!

*Madeleine and Espresso blushed like crazy. Madeleine nervously smiled before pulling Espresso into a hug.*

*Meanwhile, in the other room, Wildberry and Clotted Cream were standing there. Behind his back and in his hands was the small gray box.*

Wildberry: Was there something wrong?

Clotted Cream: No, nothing is wrong. I just...*blushes* wanted to give your gift a bit early.

Wildberry: *smiles* I see. Then I should get my gift for you too. *about to leave*

Clotted Cream: *stops him* Wait...I can wait for that gift. But I can't wait for this gift. *brings out the small box while blushing* Here.

*Wildberry took the box and opened it. He was shocked by what he saw. Inside was two silver rings with pearls engraved in them. He looks at Clotted Cream.*

Wildberry: Clotted Cream...

Clotted Cream: I know jewelry isn't something you would wear, especially rings. And I have had this since Aunt Oyster and Uncle Caviar's wedding which was at our four-month mark. But I wasn't sure if that was a good idea to give it to you then since it's not a proposal ring. And if you don't like it, I can get you something else. A-and I can return this back to-

*Wildberry pulls Clotted Cream close and kissed him. Clotted Cream froze but quickly melt into the kiss. It only lasted a couple seconds before Wildberry pulled away.*

Wildberry: Don't. I will wear this. I just...*look around until he spots a string on a table. He picks it up and took one of the rings. The string slips through the ring and Wildberry tied the string around his neck.* Here we go.

Clotted Cream: *smiles* It looks great on you.

*Wildberry smiles and took the other ring out of the box. Then he grabbed Clotted Cream's hand and put it on.*

Wildberry: This will have to do for now.

Clotted Cream: *blushes* F-for now?

*Wildberry smiles before kissing Clotted Cream's head and pulling him into a hug. While all this was happening, on the other side of the door was Dark Choco, the Custard family, Cream Scone, the Berry family, and Sablé. Most were trying to keep quiet.*

Custard III: (We need to come up with wedding ideas. Big brother deserves them!)

Headcanon time for my KRDC au!

The au essentially revolves around idea I wanted to develop and because I need more Knight + Royalberry + Dark Choco interactions (and such, KRDC au Lmao)

So this post is just here to give mini background to some dynamics in the au and the soon to be here cr comic creator comics I've made for fun and I will try to include some sort of drabble or something to add on to them! :D

Anyway, let's start!

Knight:

He is technically youngest in the Trio, but only by few months. otherwise all three are the same age with Royal being oldest and Choco being middle child

Knight was raised in a knight order and usually stationed around Yogura and Cacao kingdom. He had free other jobs across the continent in his early training years but majority of the time he was split between those two regions

After he finished his basic and advanced training, he spend few months on preparing to take his final test before knighthood. which is to slay a dragon chosen by the knight order council.

As one may guess, knight got the "honour" of slaying pitaya, and well..... well lets say that the pet and new mechanical hand doesn't exactly gets rid of the trauma, burns and scars he received from this test. At least he passed.

But he was also send permanently to Dark Cacao kingdom to be personal guard of their prince.

it didn't start well, Choco being pretty rude to Knight and Knight not taking any of Choco bullshit and making sure he follows his schedule and appears to his appointments.

Knight just really wanted to make the handsome pretty prince see some sort of reason and to not chase the impossible and to focus on his people. But he does must admit that Choco is pretty good swordsman and their spars never fail to make him crack a smile.

When Royalberry came to visit Choco, he wasn't that surprised to see that he got a body guard but he was supposed Knight lasted so long. Knight actually get along with Royal fairly well and the two had a lot of discussions about dragons and politics surrounding it. Mostly to Choco confusion.

Royal visit went really well and Knight and Choco understanding of each other also deepen. They still couldn't really understand royal smirk when he left back but they brushed it off to the side.

All was well until rumours of a powerful sword caught Choco attention..

Royalberry:

Oldest of the three

Grew up with Dark Choco since the ancients pretty much did collaborative effort on raising their kids together and teaching them about magic and fighting

However from the start Royal was low on magic, he couldn't make big spells or do a lot of magic without breaks to let it regenerate at least.

He has favourite ancient ranking, technically they all are on the first place but his absolute favourites are White Lily and Golden Cheese.

Mostly because White Lily helped him to develop system where he can use magic through symbols and runes on paper (yes, Luz/owl house style) whilst Golden cheese helped him with changing his scepter into multiple weapons.... and taking him on flights, he loves flying and being in the air.

Speaking of flying, Royal was also babysat by pitaya and that usually involved Pitaya taking royal on flights between Dragon valley and Holly Kingdom. Notably, pitaya gig as babysitter happen because he came looking for a fight with Holly and found distress royal over his sick mother who passed out in the middle of the floor. Let's just say there was a lot of panicking, sad puppy eyes and defeat to said puppy eyes.

He and Choco would usually hang out either in Hollyberry kingdom or Cacao kingdom and spend a lot of time making pranks or going on adventures around the castles. Royal usually acted as brains of the operation and kept Choco calm and from trouble and Choco usually would drag him into trouble and get him to loosen up.

He ships Knight and Choco, like when he visited and saw the two interacting he just went "Yes they should date" and tries to push them into that direction. Unfortunately, it proved very difficult and too time consuming so he was forced to admit defeat. For now of course.

I have whole side story on how Royal and Jungleberry met and hitched together but it involves some ehem, smut and other elements and thus shall not be discuss here. Just let it be know that Royal accidental adventures sometimes get worse before they get better or even fantastic in this case

In the timeline of kingdom, I suppose the whole end battle of Dark flour war happen somewhere after Dark Choco banishment and Royal compleatly loosing access to his magic (both would be explained at a later date)

He terribly misses all of his parents/care takers and his sibling, but at least he still gets to chat with knight whenever he isn't on adventures with Princess. He is glad that Gingerbrave gang is slowly finding and helping other Ancients get back together, but he has bad feeling about the republic....

Dark Choco:

Middle child but mostly grew up as youngest compared to Royal as Knight came around way later

Wild child, just loves going outdoors and exploring around the castle grounds and if he could pull it off, outside of it as well until he got caught and brought back inside of course.

He loved sparing with his father and hollyberry whenever they visited over. He also would cheer on Royal when he was practicing his magic. And unlike royal he isn't fan of flying, mostly because of that one time Golden cheese dropped him when flying over licorice sea.

He never likes any of the guards his dad tried to set him up with. They always were either too strict, too old, or just plainly trying to backstab him. To combat his father overprotectiveness he threw himself into training and proving himself with his sword skill.... which worked until he decided to ask about that cursed sword.

He didn't knew why father chose Knight Cookie but he didn't like him from the start, he was too serious, following the rules and not yielding or taking up the bait when he trues to get any sort of reaction out of him.

That changed when one day whilst walking he tripped over his own cape and landed face first into snow pile. When he managed to pick himself outs he was about to roast or fire knight for not helping him but stopped.

Knight was laughing, it wasnt particularly loud lough, just quiet chuckles and cute snorts into his hand but it was just enough to make Dark Choco pause and want this moment to last forever...

but first revenge, Knight shocked face at being pelted with the snowball was so worth the week they spend being sick and bed bound.

From there on their relationship improved significantly. Choco enjoyed their new found banter, spars and just plain hanging out. For first time in ages, he felt like he can't be himself around someone that isn't just his family. And whenever Royal did came for a visit, the castle trembled in fear of the pranks the chaos trio would pull it's occupants through.

He has a lot of regrets, not being able to help royal more so he wouldn't have to loose his magic, convincing knight to go after that cursed sword in secret and nearly killing him after the curse took hold of him. The look on his father face as he lay there injuried and proceed to banish him and low key joining DE

But his biggest one will always be not confessing when he had the chance too, when he chose to be coward and hide his feelings despite wanting to just just run away and hide from the world with his love.

But he will be able to right his wrongs soon

Anyway all that to say is that I'm gonna have brief dribble to go on with the comic creator comic I did specifically for this au, so we see how it goes. Like I said this is just my headcanon as semi au explanation to give background to certain dynamics. Bit yeah I'm repeating myself a loooot but tags will explain it.

I had a lot of coming up with those and I would like to add that Knight and Dark Choco have CRO pets, so dragon tail and the spirit helmet (?) and they will also be utilised in the story but mainly appear as helpful power ups. Think living object like pin or piece of armour.

Can I have dark choco x soft!reader? Just heard the term soft reader and had to try it out.

I think I might’ve had a request similar to this before but uhhh oh well, if I did it was a long while ago. Yippee

I don’t really know which version of Dark Choco wanted to be done here so I just went with the old CoD timeline version before the Dark Cacao stuff

Not really too sure what soft means in this definition here but I just went with really sweet and kind of like energetic maybe idk-

Yay new post. Been a bit hehe, haven’t had much time over my break to write, I’ll probably post some more when school starts up again. ALSO I opened up matchups if anyone wants

Dark Choco x reader

(Who is soft)

Welp, they say opposites attract, you know. On the outside the two of you are completely different- the dark knight being a feirce and brooding presence and you being nothing than, well… soft, really.

Very few people actually know that Dark Choco is an absolute softie inside too. He is very closed off and not expressive in most forms aside from anger, but he does have a very pleasant heart in him.

He likes hand holding. Very subtle hand holding in areas that don’t have a lot of people but may contain some. Otherwise not a big fan of PDA. He will let you lead him around or push him places you want him to go, though.

If you do hug him in public he is likely to get extremely flustered and shut down. He will then promptly avoid everyone who might as so much have been in a fifty foot radius for a while, including you.

Dark Choco will let you snag his cape and use it whenever you want, so long as he’s not about to go into battle. He needs it for his emo boy aesthetic. Even then, a little bit of asking too polietly or begging and he’ll let you keep it just this once-

We all know the last part is an absolute lie ^ you two practically share custody over that thing now.

Refuses to let you touch the Strawberry Jam sword at all. No. Never. That is pretty much the one thing that you can’t win over by begging or owning being cute. It’s completely off limits to you, and for good reasons.

Likely to follow you around everywhere like a big, lost puppy dog. He’s not even too interested in what you’re doing tbh, he just wants to follow and trail after you whenever he can. He likes experiencing your daily life.

Dark Choco just likes hanging out with you and watching all the little things you do. His favorite times are when you two have little picnics or decide to have a camp out. In his eyes, you’re way too good to him.

When Dark Choco finds out, he goes through your house, and his room, asking you if something feels nice on your dough or not, if you say no, he tosses it into the trash can. Dark Chocos love language is acts of service, getting you things, making sure you have your safe foods stocked up, listening to you, he loves it all. His favorite thing to do though is listen to you talk, Choco is a man of few words, so hearing you info dump about your special int rests or hyper fixations makes him happy, he'll give some input and ask questions but otherwise stays silent, his eyes glued on you. Are you overstimulated? Don't worry he made sure you pack your headphones for you. Overwhelmed because there are too many people? You can hid in his cape. This man is so in love with you. He'd do anything to make sure you're comfortable! He was a prince after all, and now he's more a knight so it's even more important to him. You truly are so special to him!
