💝 what's your process for writing a piece? Total silence and shut down everything or scribblings between other activities?

i like to outline first and get my thoughts and ideas organized! after that i'll make a moldboard. then before i start drafting, i'll usually play some music that fits the vibe of the piece i'm writing whether it be a playlist i created myself or one of those ambiance videos. i recently listened to one called "reading an old love story in the rain while waiting for your train// a dark academia playlist" and it definitely got me in the perfect mindset to write what i'm writing! i also like to write feeling completely zen and undisturbed, so i'll make sure to have a fresh shower, a cleaned room, light a candle, and have a warm cup of tea or coffee with me before i sit down to write.
